Mjr Sadensei - Streets of LA
She drifted the vehicle with a steer of the wheel like it was nothing, and, pulling the brake, stopped it perfectly in the parking spot. She lowered her window, pointing at a rusty gate in the middle of a man-high brick wall a couple paces down the street. Behind it were a few scruffy-looking building and piles of metallic junk. There was a tinge, a faint smell of salt in the air, indicating that they were close to the sea.
"Here we are. San Piedro's naval scrapyard. There should be anything you need and more." she addressed Mazok. Well, that was only partly true, as she didn't really know what he needed - but considering that this scrapyard had served for over a century for both civilian and military ships there would surely be enough to be used to circumvent any missing part issue. "Don't take too long though. We aren't exactly on a super tight timetable, but we don't have all day either. One hour, give or take twenty minutes. It's not like the guys in the bay are gonna find the sub all by themselves in the meanwhile, but we can't risk taking too long to get there and the sub being gone."
She sighed, and glanced at Thomas.
"I'm bored. I thought there'd be more tension, something making me feel alive, not just like that. I feel like I'm lacking any kind of purpose here. How is it for you, when you're deployed ? Oh, and by the way, how the hell did you come to work with us ? The colonel never wanted to tell me, but the info doesn't look classified, I just can't find out."
