LOL, only if YOU really want: I do want one, but I’d rather someone come by who REALLY loves the character than someone who did it just to did it for the lols
Plus, the way I've set Smash!Peach up, I'd end up having to write a romance with Smash!Mario and that may be daunting, so I'm ok waiting!

I try not to be, I'm more a "let things happen naturally" in RP even if OOC I'ma rootin' for the (hopefully soon to be) "couple" in question, it's just I've been rooting for Mario x Peach since before I even knew what shipping was or that I was doing it, so I kinda gotta tip my hat to that playing Smash! Peach this way...
DAMN, I hope that doesn't turn AWAY Mario RPers (they are free to reject Peach or friend zone her if they want, considering the whole reason she's is ALONE is complications like that)!

i mean general rule of shipping/romance should be to make sure your rp partner is comfortable with it. i'm sure if someone plays zelda if you tell them you prefer no romance, they'll understand ^^

Yeah, don't be pressured into romance RP if you're not into it. I personally prefer strong friendships over romance, myself.
Toon Link is too young, and Pit is too dedicated to Palutena; that's how I look at it. Pikachu would be done for Rule of Funny.
The whole Pit x Zelda thing in Ultimate is something the English dub of the game completely made up; the Palutena's Guidance for Zelda is very different in Japanese.

That's actually WHY I wanted to run it by my S/O to join AS Mario, so I would be writing it with the person I'm MOST comfortable with and our writing would come from a genuine place
Sadly as epic and hilarious as them playing Mario would be they are NOT DOWN, and I'm cool with being a solo act even if Peach isn't necessary a solo character ^^

see the only smash related ship i have for my set of characters that i find cute is joker x lucina, but that's about it. i prefer to ship among their actual games. though joker has likely said to multiple of the characters that he will steal their hearts. probably has gotten him in deep shit

I really want Joker and Snake to have a stealth adventure together as the two dedicated sneaky bois. Snake is legitimately impressed by Joker's stealth abilities after saying he doesn't want babysit them, but refuses to admit it.

Toon Link and Link being bros! They, along with Zelda, had a very interesting relationship in the old RP. Link was worried about becoming too close to Toon Link and possibly doing more harm than good, so he felt he had to be strict and aloof. It sent mixed messages that confused the poor Toon, and Toon wondered if the other Smash Bros. saw him as an "inferior" Link. Nevermind that Toon Link already had his adventure, and didn't really need Link's guidance! Meanwhile, Zelda was happy to love on Toon Link. She had someone who wasn't overprotective of her, and she can be the caretaker for once, and Toon didn't mind the attention. It was very sweet when, after dealing with a lot of crap that kept them separated from each other for a while, the three were able to put their issues behind them and hug each other immediately upon reuniting, and just enjoy being with each other.
I hope we get Samus and Pit hunting Metroids/Komaytos together sometime in the RP! The Gunpei Yokoi siblings are back together! I want a crossover game with those two so badly lol
Pikachu and Pichu reuniting is, no doubt, going to be adorable af
