I like to think the locations on the maps are larger and more far away than they appear. Steve and Snake started out in Console City, while Sephiroth, Isabelle, and Doomguy are at the Military Base. Console City and the Military Base could possibly be a few hour's away from each other on foot.
But I'll generally leave it up to the players because it's very hard to work with time in RP. Players in one group could still be in a moment while others are on a journey that could take days.

I didn’t get to Sora’s post today, but I’ll see if I can get it up sometime tomorrow if stuff with my family doesn’t take 80 years
Also barring how things go with Inking, I do have a small idea to help her and Joker in mind (was thinking about including in before but letting Joker suffer a bit is fun) so if we want them to have a better chance of escape I can make that happen. If not, that idea can stay in the box for later on

I mean surely Paula tries to go through the beakon since she wouldn’t be aware of Joker taking action. Just because he’s done something doesn’t mean she can’t work with the information she has. She’s in a similar situation to how Joker was- has information now just has to work with it. Whether or not it’s helpful, well, that’s tbd. Even our local phantom thief doesn’t know if his own plan is going to achieve anything, but he’s betting all or nothing. Hell maybe Paula figures out the beakon and Inkling can easily get out, leaving Joker to fend for his own life. Imagine lmao. But fr be willing to get creative.
As for my idea to help Joker and Inkling, I don’t want to spoil it entirely but maybe a cameo comes in

As I said in a previous post, I'm going to leave travel times up to the RPers. I'd rather people not get to places instantaneously outside of means such as warping or magic, as I imagine game worlds to be much bigger than their in-game maps and designs suggest. It's really hard to keep track of time when one group of RPers are on a several day journey while others are still in a single scene together.

You don't have to follow actual canon height if you don't want to. Smash Bros. doesn't really stick to canon, so I'm not going to be strict on it. I'm optimistic that players will not abuse it.
