Maybe Samus? She'd be straight-forward and honest with him, and while she'd be sympathetic to his situation she also wouldn't put up with an attitude. Samus would know when to be soft and when to be stern, and respect Roxas's space when he has need of it.

I actually just had the silly thought of Roxas claiming he doesn’t need parental guidance because he has an emotional support dog, aka Isabelle. I could see him finding a lot of comfort around her and if Xion were around she’d probably find Isabelle so cute and beg Roxas to take her with them

I think Xion would love the Super Smash Brothers too. There's Duck Hunt, the Pokemon, Kirby, Yoshi, and others. I can see her even complimenting Fox, and Fox being sweet about it because this is an innocent girl. Oh, the teasing he'd get from Falco afterward though!

So I had a dream kinda tied to the end of KH3 and this rp and it ties in with how we talked about Sora showing up without Roxas at one get together but imagine it’s the other way around. Roxas shows up to a Smash reunion without Sora half because he wants to be there, half because he is the closest thing to Sora that can show up. He gets asked where Sora is and he just doesn’t want to talk but his expression says enough- clearly something happened and he isn’t keen on speaking about it. All he decides to say is “I’m here representing Sora while he can’t be here. Take that as you will” and doesn’t dare elaborate. It starts speculation given the past visit Sora had without Roxas present and people start thinking that the opposite is currently in effect. Roxas just kinda ignores it all. The few close to him are eventually able to get him to talk about it but it’s not without him getting rather emotional

Nothing a Cure spell can’t fix!

As for the role switch between Sora and Roxas, I like to think at that point the other members of the Terrible Trio know Roxas well enough to give him his space and not pry. Zelda and Pittoo don’t seem like the types to be intrusive like that. Probably all the more reason why the three might get along so well!

It does make me ponder what the reaction might be should Dark Pit disappear. Knowing the character, he likely went down in a blaze of glory. Obviously, Pit would take the loss the hardest, but he’d try his best to be tough as he knows Pittoo would be quite annoyed if he wasted time bawling his eyes out. I don’t think Pit could keep it up forever and eventually lets his grief out. I can see him hanging out with those who were close to Dark Pit and thanking them for loving him, and assuring them that he was likely thinking of them at the very end.

I think, generally, most fighters would feel sympathy for Pit but wouldn’t be too bothered by the loss. A more heartless fighter makes a comment about Pittoo being a waste of a roster slot, or telling Pit that he’s now the Cool Pit again, and Pit immediately starts throwing hands!

I think it would be less about prying and more like they see he's alone and visibly conflicted and when he gets asked what's wrong he's more willing to elaborate on the situation because 1. it's in private and 2. it's with people he can trust. when and if Layton speaks a riddle it sparks Sephiroth talking about Genesis who I feel enjoys riddles the same way he likes poetry and loveless.

Roxas admitting to them that he came for the reunion mostly because he figured it be more worrisome if no one showed up and he was likely the best substitute for Sora. He can tell them the happy news of him being his own person again and being reunited with his friends before explaining that Sora vanished and they were searching for him but with no luck. He admits that it's mostly a burden on his mind, but there isn't much he could actually have done to prevent it. He had seen people vanish before which is why it hit hard for him, but he likely holds a strong belief that Sora would return to them. He's probably pretty mature about it, even if he is emotional over it he does come off more mature in KH3 in general after all

I can see Roxas getting along just fine with Pit as well. They might not be super close, but definitely some kind of respect and/or friendship would exist

Japanese Pit is more serious and moody compared to his English counterpart, so he would have a similar personality to Roxas.

I still stand by that Pit would be jealous of Sora, even if the fanbase believes otherwise. Pit has a tendency to become very defensive in regards to his flaws, and he's shown to be easily envious of those who have what he desires, and Sora is a practically flawless kid who pretty much has everything Pit desires! I definitely look forward to the two meeting.

A thought I suddenly had:

I've said before that I can see Dark Pit having a soft spot for SSBU Zelda. What if this is because SSBB/SSB4/TP Zelda was kind to him? I'm of the impression that Dark Pit likely wasn't welcomed with open arms when he joined the roster (Ex. Simon Belmont has a special victory line ("To darkness!"/"Turn to Darkness" in Japanese) when he wins against a dark-aligned character such as Dark Pit). Twilight Princess Zelda did sacrifice herself to save Midna, so perhaps she saw immediately that he is no wicked spirit and treated him kindly?

I'm sorry. I absolutely love the idea of SSBU Zelda and Dark Pit being close friends. There's just so much potential there for adorableness, humor, and heartbreak with them. Add Roxas to the mix and that potential really goes up!
