I've had to really simplify the outfit for my WIP outfit swap drawing because such a detailed outfit wouldn't work with Layton's simple style.

My designs tend to be simple as well, so Byleth's outfit is definitely a challenge for me.

I feel like I'm very simplistic when it comes to my own designs so designs like Byleth and many other FE characters or even Pyra/Mythra and other Xenoblade characters make me suffer a lot when I try to draw them. It's why I opt to draw Joker more cuz he's simple lmao

I pictured Layton asking Joker if he's ever considered wearing a top hat along with his Phantom Thieves outfit. He just ends up looking sort of like Tuxedo Mask lol

You know I'm surprised Joker never had a costume or official art with him wearing a top hat given Arsene wears one and even when they did masquerade outfits somewhat based on the personas, he still didn't get one

I pictured Ann hearing Layton's suggestion and getting Joker a top hat, which is bittersweet considering Layton's backstory.

Aw that'd be cute! Layton got his hat from his girlfriend, right? I think I remember this being talked about before unless it was my friend who really loves the games that told me

And fr Joker not getting art really wearing hats in general is shocking given 2 of 3 personas made for him wear hats- a top hat with Arsene and a fedora with Raoul
