I had wanted to RP Layton even while I was still in the brainstorming phase of this RP. I really had to think about whether or not I should pick up Luke as well. In the end, I figured it just didn't feel right playing Layton without Luke. It's like peanut butter without jelly! I also considered Flora so the poor girl can be part of an adventure, but then that's another character, and it's too much. Poor Flora.

Back when I was debating Byleth, I had 3 other options in mind- including Shulk, Roy or Cloud. Naturally I had to stick to all my Smash Bros, except Yoshi, being DLC fighters though LMAO he really is the odd one out

Aww, I can see poor Flora walking into the room with tea and cucumber sandwiches all prepared, just as Layton and Luke solved the puzzle in the letter, and she gets dragged into the Smash Realm too. I was going to have Layton and Luke eventually worry about her being mad that they went off on yet ANOTHER adventure without her, even if it was completely unplanned on their end!

I also don't mind passing Luke on if one wants to RP him too. I don't mind RPing Luke at all, and he's no trouble, but I want to give the offer. I'm honestly surprised someone might possibly RP a Professor Layton character besides myself!

When RPing canon characters, they're always going to be a little OOC. It's something that cannot be completely helped, but we all try to get as close as possible.

Hopefully I’ll get a Byleth post up today and I think I might start working on Pyra too. It’s been over a month now since I posted for her so I think I’ve waited long enough to warrant me moving it on I need to free some of my characters from no post purgatory

I figured it wouldn't be a huge deal. I mean I'd love to also move Joker and Yoshi forward too (maybe even Sora but Pichu's post was at least recent that I don't mind waiting), but I don't really have flexibility with those two like I have with Pyra rn. I just get worried that my muse for them will die if I keep waiting I guess this applies less to Joker because he's basically my soul character for RPing lmao
