Well, looks like we have another powered who uses some form of light based powers. I wonder how my power would react with her's?

Well, looks like we have another powered who uses some form of light based powers. I wonder how my power would react with her's?

Well, her power is over laser specifically, which is "light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation". (So light + radiation). Devon's powers don't have a range limit, unlike Ramond's, but also unlike him, she cannot control ALL light.


So here is how I see things would happen from scenario to scenario; let me know if you disagree on any of it.


How Devon's powers affect Ramond's:


Devon COULD increase the destructive powers of Ramond if they worked as a team, however since she has no control over light, she could not affect his powers in any other way.


How Ramond's powers affect Devon's in terms of...


Propulsion:


Seeing as Devon's propulsion requires her lasers, Ramond could prevent her from flying, forcing her to stay on the ground. But she could use it in short bursts to make her jump further or move faster if she used it for less than the 0.101 reaction speed of humans, preventing Ramond from countering it.


Blasts:


Seeing as Devon's laser blasts are basically light beams, Ramond could redirect them or even return them to her. However, since she is completely immune to burns, they would be useless against her as well.


Protection:


Devon's protections are basically "hard laser", so Ramond could not affect them as hard laser would be the same as hard light, which he can only control while directly touching it.


Constructs:


Devon's constructs would also be hard light, so Ramond would be unable to affect them as well. A fight between Devon and Ramond would thus basically turn into a sword fight.


In an actual fight, Ramond would be advantaged by:


-His healing ability


-His greater experience in close-quarter-combat


-His ability to limit Devon's movements and render her long-range moves useless.


-His armor which is basically an "always on" version of Devon's protections.


In an actual fight, Devon would be advantaged by:


-Her heightened durability and immunity to burns


-Her ability to let go of her constructs without them deconstructing


-Her short bursts of speed and movement which Ramond cannot mimic.


-Her greater willingness to fight dirty and kill.


It would be a pretty interesting fight, really.

Also, Roland would be advantaged by his ability to blind Devon (burn immunity doesn't mean immunity to "flashlight straight in the eye" temporary blindness, but it would keep her immune to permanent blindness induced by such means).
