    Mi In-Su had been born to two parents that were musicians, but also heavily neglectful. Most of the time he would be whisked away with a, "Go play the piano, or whatever you do these days," but sometimes In-Su couldn't help but feel a bit lonely. He didn't share the same interests as his relatives, who seemed to have all taken a similar path of melodies. Instead, he was attracted to art. An excuse he always made to his parents were that "Art is just the category of playing instruments. I want to just thrive deeper in the other subjects inside it." However, his parents never turned out to be happy from his chosen choices.
    
    Coming through the school days, In-Su was most often pegged as the 'quiet one'. No, he was indeed not, because he still had a mouth and didn't bother to use it. Even a simple artist can't hold back from getting thrown into rebellious acts, yet he was just a child, what else was he supposed to do to feel human? During winter, his family had offered to go out to a festival. Of course, it included a rink and two skates. This would be the first time his parents decided to give him attention, and though he did not like to ice skate anymore, the idea of his relatives acknowledging him was suffocating.
    
    In the older years, this didn't help out much. In-Su needed to learn how to be a free bird, and the first steps to that would be moving out. With whatever he saved, he put borders up around himself. This was probably one of the first times he saw his mother cry, but his father merely broke a sweat. Before In-Su left, he and his father really did have a one-on-one conversation. Whatever apologies were spoken could not be accepted, yet In-Su would still remember them.     Amy Greenhorne: They've met in the early stages of high school (Sophomore Year) and gained some sort of friendship, found in the same class too, only to be paired up together for a project. Even after that, though, they both had started to occasionally find themselves meeting up in secluded places; like the library.
    
    Maeve Everly: In-Su met her in art class, offering to teach her the ropes of artistic means. He's like her pause button, but she sometimes goes out of her way to not listen. However, aside from that, they often have a connection through venting out their backstories.
    
    Sabella Evans: Opening up to Sabella wasn't something In-Su wanted to do, and even through all that, their arguments gathered too much attention that it suffocated him. They both broke ties, and now an awkward tension rises whenever they bump into each other.
    
    Jamison Mick: At first glance, In-Su could be found watching a sport's game Jamison was playing in. Yet he wasn't that noticed until later on when he was curled up in the corner of a party room and Jamison approached first. Jamison and In-Su give off more of the brotherly vibes, having some similarities through hobbies.
    
    Dae Magnus Choi: In-Su and Mags were in a previous romantic relationship back in Junior High, however once both of them grew up and finally expanded into High School, In-Su honestly just didn't like who the person Magnus was now. The change was terrible, and so they broke up and remain simple Ex's. In-Su doesn't like to keep grudges though, but maybe Mags does.

  Sabella is a preachers daughter and a good girl-- or at least, she used to be. While the former is still true, the latter, not so much. Growing up in her large family, Bella almost always felt as though she were looked over and put second to her father's job. Sitting in church always bored the girl who needed to be doing something almost constantly, and she still remembers how her mothers fingers felt as they pinched her leg to try and keep her still.
  
  Hitting middle school, Bella began to realize that she was her own person and didn't have to follow the path her parents had set out for her and her siblings. She made friends with others that her family definitely wouldn't approve of, started delving into hobbies that weren't "God approved". Background
Amy was a precocious child, her academic intelligence clear from a young age, but she struggled to find her place socially. Life’s many unspoken nuances didn’t seem to come naturally to her, and she found comfort in adhering to the clear-cut rules set out by authority figures. Unfortunately, this made her a chronic tattler, and thus not held in high regard by many of her peers. While she had connected those dots by the start of middle school, a lot of the damage was already done. With a proverbial target on her back from those she had previously rubbed the wrong way, her idiosyncrasies did not go unnoticed and those few years were fraught with problems being ostracised or bullied. It left her with a tendency to assume the worst in people - unfairly so.

Her time in high school was calmer, mostly flying under the radar and keeping herself to herself. Besides, she was too busy trying to meet her parents’ lofty expectations to worry about socialising much. Family life was amicable enough. They all got on and the financial situation was comfortable. Mom and Dad had plenty to say when she brought home good grades, but even more to say if she didn’t. She understood that they wanted the best for her, but the pressure was a lot to bear. Anything less than perfect simply wasn’t good enough. It’s not something she’d ask of anyone else, but it’s different when it comes to herself, somehow.

With high school over and her place at university secured, she has found herself wondering what she might have missed out on. Perhaps even jealous of those who had been making the most of the so-called best years of their lives. Maybe this week is her chance to finally live a little? She’s afraid she might not know how.

history

Magnus, born in the hell which was known as North Korea, was born into a family of four, with his father seemingly having connections to higher ups, enough so he was able to aid, and help hide, numerous different people when they decided to escape.

Magnus was barely eight years old when his mother smuggled him, and his sisters, Bera and Iseult, out without their father's knowledge. Out of their group of 8, only the four of them survived. A few months later, Magnus met this mysterious boy known as Il-Jae, quickly becoming best friends with him.

Only two years later, Magnus’ mother died of a brain tumor, Bera, who was fourteen at the time, decided to step up and try her best to raise Magnus and Iseul. She managed to hide their mother's death, and their existence overall, from the government.

PJ used to be extremely quiet and reserved in school and at home. They are a lil dorky looking with big, round glasses and often messier curly hair. Them being trans (nonbinary), PJ was heavily teased and bullied in early school up until they graduated junior high. They didn't always know they were genderqueer, but PJ has always been a bit different than other kids. Once PJ 'came out' at age 13, school became a place where they felt the most unsafe. Always snide comments being quipped in the hallways, bigoted teachers refusing to use their chosen name and pronouns, and at its worst, verbal attacks turned into broken glasses and being shoved into the locker bays.Going into high school PJ made a promise to themself that things would change. PJ was going to be themself, unconditionally and loudly! They started fighting back--but in their own way. Instead of letting people laugh at them, PJ was going to crack the jokes first. They started making jokes in class about themself, about the learning material, other peers, anything really. Funny enough, people started finding PJ relatable. Vee was raised in a relatively strict but loving household, or, that was true until her father died when she was 12. It wasn’t until then that her mother pulled away from her duties, leaving Vee to take care of herself, slowly at first, but before long she was doing everything from making herself (and sometimes her mother) dinner, to taking care of the general responsibilities of the house. This didn’t last long, though, before Vee was sick of it. She was angry that her father died and left her and her mom there to fend for themselves. She resented her mother for having to try to pick up the pieces of their life at 12 years old, and she wanted nothing more than to just be free from it all.

So, when Vee entered highschool, she sought out danger and parties, anything to distract her from her home life. At that point, her and her mother were fighting - if they even spoke to each other at all. She was going out most nights, partying and drinking until the small hours of the morning. Most days, it was lucky if she even showed up to school. It didn’t matter though, because she was loved and seen and heard when she was the life of the party. She was the fun one, the party animal, the one everyone invited if they wanted to have a good time.

Relationship:
Magnus - Mags and Vee dated a while back, but Vee wasn’t really in the mindset to be in a relationship. The spark wasn’t there, and so the two amicably ended things, and remain friends still
Grim - Vee and Grim found themselves often at the same parties, around each other due to nothing else but having a lot of the same friends. One night, Grim and Vee played a game of beer pong against each other - something that Grim claimed to be particularly skilled at. Vee won by a landslide, and proceeded on a drunken gloating spree, getting under Grim’s skin, which led to both of them having quite the distaste for each other. Regardless, they have a strained relationship, pretending to not hate each other most of the time.

Sabella - Strong party pals. Met at a party early on in their highschool life, and have been close since. Have a solid habit of egging each other on, particularly when drunk.

Amy - Childhood friends, but had a falling out in relation to Vee's never-ceasing party phase and poor choices.

In-Su - Met in freshman year art class, sitting next to each other. In-su tends to be Vee's voice of reason, whether she listens or not, and they often have vent-sesh's over their troubled childhoods.

    Sun-Hi is the kind of person who disappears into the pages of a book and barely resurfaces for air. Stacks of novels, highlighters, and sticky notes tower around her like a fortress, creating a safe space where she doesn’t have to bother with the outside world unless absolutely necessary. She isn’t antisocial, per se—just selective. If given the choice between deep conversation and an engrossing fantasy novel, she’d likely choose the latter. However, that doesn’t mean she lacks social skills. When engaged in conversation, she can be sharp and quick-witted, sometimes to the point of exasperating others with her snark. If interrupted at the wrong moment—especially during a crucial plot twist—she’s been known to snap back with a remark that stings like a well-aimed dart.
    
    Despite her bookish nature, Sun-Hi isn’t a delicate wallflower. She enjoys activities often labeled as masculine, from gaming marathons to fixing things around the house. She fits in effortlessly with the guys, sharing in their humor and competitiveness, but that doesn’t mean she’s interested in them romantically. Sun-Hi has long come to terms with her attraction to women and sees no reason to entertain anything outside of that. If anything, she finds the idea of forced romantic expectations tiresome. She isn’t afraid to make her stance clear, though she rarely feels the need to broadcast it. Sun-Hi has a firm grasp of who she is and where she stands in the world—never overstepping her confidence into arrogance, but never shrinking herself to fit expectations either.
    
    Her patience is notoriously short, especially when dealing with slow thinkers. But when she does find someone she trusts, her walls lower, revealing a much softer side. She may never be the type to cry openly or wear her heart on her sleeve, but for the right person, she’ll listen, support, and even let them in on the thoughts she normally keeps buried. Though Sun-Hi presents herself as independent and self-sufficient, she isn’t entirely opposed to emotional vulnerability—she just needs to be sure the person standing beside her won’t take advantage of it.
    
    When Sun-Hi finds someone who shares her interests, she won’t openly express her admiration, but her demeanor shifts in subtle ways. She tones down the sharp edges of her personality, her snark becoming playful rather than biting, and she gradually warms up to them with small gestures—like throwing in an inside joke or sharing a book recommendation without being asked. Despite her usual reserved nature, she can get unexpectedly competitive if she senses someone trying to match her intellect or mimic her habits.
    
    Whether it’s proving she’s the better strategist in a debate or subtly one-upping someone who tries to steal her style, Sun-Hi takes pride in what makes her unique. However, when she’s truly at ease, her sharp mind settles into softer moments. She enjoys quiet evenings listening to music, sometimes murmuring lyrics under her breath without realizing it.     Myo Sun-Hi was raised around overly cheery people; including her sister that was like a diamond in her parents' eyes. Family game nights, chatty dinners, and star gazing...all of it was enjoyable, but Sun-Hi just wanted to be by herself. She liked the silence, and so she stuck more to her room. Her mother was worried that at some point she would get depressed from being cooped up for so long. Of course, she never did.
    
    Sun-Hi entertained herself with books. Her father would buy her some for her birthday, but she went out of her way to get some more by herself. Her relatives never realized that this was what her heart truly desired, and soon, she was forced to the task of making clothes. Specifically corsets; her mother was a huge fan of them, and began teaching Sun-hi the very basics. Eventually Sun-Hi liked the idea of sewing and such, but the whole hobby wasn't for her.
    
    In later years, she was just as surprised to find another girl admiring fashion (in the wearing sense) the same way she did. Crawling away from the nook of pages was hard for Sun-Hi, but she eventually just gave in to humanly social desires. The few times she's opened up to people were probably the only people who have seen her cry. Well, that was until her mother passed away and her father began to question Sun-Hi's relationships. Sunny's mother was given a dose of cancer, and after a certain spike of it, the woman forgot Sun-Hi completely. Fear formed within Sun-Hi's mind; she never wanted to be forgotten, especially by the person that ended up making a disaster in her family just by leaving. The funeral was whisked just as quickly, but not quite the same as Sun-Hi's life.
    
    She was shamed heavily for her sexuality, and what she 'does behind others backs', which was actually just her father guessing everything with the wrong evidence. Sun-Hi's sister never backed her up, and soon just moved to Paris for some 'alone time' from what she called it. Sun-Hi was told to 'suck it up', and 'just spit it out', one too many times to count. Calling her sister to help would be of no use, but she still tried.
    
    Surprisingly, it wasn't long before she was moving in with her sister. Sun-Hi got one year, that was it, and in that time she worked even harder for education and then somewhere else to stay after her time limit was over. Now, she doesn't feel an inch of embarrassment when she's caught in the act of something that she knows no one is supposed to have authority over. When Chloe returned everything changed; including their relationship. Sunny and Lolo were like two peas in a pod, really good fashion buddies. Chloe was a person Sun-Hi didn't need to be quiet around, and that was what was so special between them. Background: Seth’s earliest, notable life moment is his parents’ divorce when he started middle school. He didn’t quite understand what that meant at the time, instead spending much of his time playing sports and in the school band, or wandering around Santa Monica with his friends. Seth flourished for a short time, becoming a proficient bass guitarist and playing the cool kid role as a really good baseball player, though he clung more to their periphery.

Right as Seth graduated middle school, his father died suddenly and his mother moved them to San Diego where she was born. Rocked by the immense loss and reeling from having no time to process leaving behind all his friends, Seth got really into smoking weed and joined a punk band. He stayed out late and skipped school, but just enough to barely pass his freshman year. At school, he found a partner who he dated for almost a year.

Throughout sophomore year, Seth self-produced several (awful) albums for his band and shot several choppy-but-passable music videos, proving he had a minor talent for cinematography and editing. At school, he became somewhat notorious for only going to school for extracurriculars, doing sound production for assemblies, musicals, and the like, as well as taking pictures for the newspaper and helping to design and edit it. He and his partner broke up just before the end of their sophomore year, which sent Seth into a rough patch.

The next year, he produced his band’s first decent album and spent a lot of time with local skaters and musicians shooting and editing film for them, making money for the first time in his life. He also pursued and dated a long, unfortunate string of people after his first break-up, some relationships only lasting a week or two, none more than a couple months–and some ending with actual boyfriends punching Seth in the face. Unlucky in love, Seth flourished back at school. He bonded with a sympathetic English teacher and turned his academic performance back around–and he still had his extracurricular excuses to duck out of class at any time.

In between junior and senior year, Seth’s band went “on tour” for the first time, driving in between San Diego and Los Angeles to play shows the entire summer. Back in Santa Monica, Seth ran into an old crush of his from middle school, and the two hooked up through the first part of their final year of high school. He finally worked up the courage to ask them out, and was swiftly denied. Heartbroken, Seth dropped back into his old ways, hooking up with and dating a wide array of people in what can only be described as “the worst decisions anyone has ever made.”

Senior year saw Seth really beginning to refine his art, producing a couple more okay punk albums with his band and helping out other people shooting film, and editing everything from prose/poetry to youtube videos to model headshots. He made a decent amount of money, giving a lot of it to his mom to help pay for rent and groceries. It started out as walking around cash for a reckless high school kid, but it morphed into something Seth could do to actually help his mother, who struggled immensely to provide a life for them and recreate her own social life. Seth avoided his favorite teacher’s cry to apply to college, instead diving harder into the work portion of his passion, planning a “grand tour” for his band after graduating.

Relationships -

• PJ: Everyone remembers their first partner. Seth can't seem to escape PJ, someone who he might claim to either be madly in love with or not depending on the hour or day that he's asked. She is generally kind, but she is definitely spoiled, and likes the finer things in life. Can you blame her? She grew up with a silver spoon and in the limelight due to her parents notoriety in Hollywood. They've tried to give her a semi-normal life, by having her go to regular public school. She's tried to be careful of who she's truly befriended. She'll be friendly to anyone, but only will trust a select few because she's not dumb enough to think her family fame isn't a draw for people. She knows she's not the most skilled at things but probably makes the teams, and talent shows because her name draws a crowd. Nepo at it's finest. Though she's not sure she wants to change that? Background:
Her mother is a famous actress who played mostly in rom-coms and voiced iconic characters. Her favorite being Jasmine form Aladdin. Her father is still a big time music producer, so Hollywood has been a part of her life since the day she was born. She's been to more red carpet events and award shows than she can count. It's also how her and Phineas are connected. Her mom and his dad met on set, and the rest is "fate". Well that's how they phrase it. In an attempt to keep her at least semi grounded and not a total brat they've tried to put her in normal situations too such as having her attend public school all her life. Too bad at home she was still spoiled due to them finding it hard to say no to her, and figuring out it's easy to distract her from a problem with something new and shiny. And there were plenty of problems that needed a distraction.
Everything changed once she hit middle school. She started seeing how people really did only care about her because of her fame and family, but she also met the guy who would change everything for her. Phineas. It started out as friendship because they really do have a lot in common, and their home lives weren't what they wished they were, so they bonded. Navigating this life being a child star was hard, but having someone who understood made it better. Then high school came around and they did what the world had been waiting for, they started dating, and it was everything she thought it would be. They weren't just their school's "IT" couple they were the internet and Hollywood's young "IT" couple. That's a level of pressure only they understand, and unsurprisingly everything that glitters isn't gold. But you'll never hear that from her lips.

Personality - Phineas has a way with words and can be very charming, influential, and charismatic. Especially when meeting new people, Phineas does a great job of making a good first impression. He can be sweet, fun to talk to, and profound. When not performing for others, he is generally reserved, brooding, and watchful. He's perceptive, but secretive. Having grown up in such a public way, it makes sense why he tries to keep some things to himself. It's the only way to hold onto his sanity. He never had much of a choice in how his life would turn out, who he'd date, who he'd hang out with, the career he'd have, the type of person he'd be. Therefore he can be very controlling in other ways. He can easily overreact when things don't go his way and become grouchy, passive-aggressive, and dramatic. Due to their professions, Phineas' parents were friends with Sera's parents, and that's how the two met. He knew of her existence long before they started talking, from some of the dinner parties his parents went to or their chatter about their collaborations with each other.
