The cats of StreamClan were all kitty-pets originally. They met when their up-walkers left one fateful day. Escaping nests and hesitantly crossing into the world outside, they were met with new smells, frightful experiences, and an inability to survive as they were unable to hunt and fight. A dreaded storm came, tearing up the area and destroying their former nests. They hid out, starving themselves and waiting for their Up-walkers to return.. but, they never did. These cats were growing weak with hunger and so- they decided to watch the wildlife to, hopefully, learn to hunt.
A young shecat named Ginny watched a fox leaping upon mice, before using it’s teeth to kill it. She copied this, realizing her clawless paws couldn’t do much. She successfully hunted a mouse and decided to help the others learn her method. The oldest tom of the group, named Lou, had been out looking for mice that day when he noticed another feline crouched and ready to nab themselves a rabbit. He watched her stalk forward before leaping, her claws digging into it to keep it still while she bit it, silencing it. He approached and she backed up, fur bristling. “How did you do that?” he asked glancing at the rabbit. She blinked in surprise and set it down a paw rested on it to keep him from stealing it. “It’s simple. I could.. show you, if you would like?” She asked and he nodded.
With the other’s help he learned to hunt in a way he could use his claws and take down slightly larger prey like rabbits. He learned her name was Maple. Maple soon taught the others and also taught them to catch birds, climb and swim even. She even helped them learn to move more quietly.
Moons passed before the group decided to leave the area due to the destruction it had faced. The prey was limited and so- they needed to leave so the forest could recover. Maple had brought more cats- A tom name Ren and his mate Shelly, plus two other feral cats who went by the name Oats and Acorn, who were Maple’s brothers.
The cats traveled far to get to a suitable home. The home they chose was a dense coniferous forest which housed an abundance of prey. It was here they settled.
During the night, Lou heard a voice which had stirred him from his sleep. “Smoke?” he called, as he padded toward it. He seemed to be in a trance as he walked. When he came out of it, he was at a cliff. “Woah!”he said, stepping back as fear of falling bubbled within him. The tom, however, stared at the ravine below him. The whisper grew louder and he slowly stepped down, surprised to find a narrow pathway leading down into the ravine. He padded down carefully and was surprised to see a few dens carved out in the ravine. His paws suddenly got wet and he paused, noticing a very shallow stream trickled through the ravine, splitting the camp in two. He continued to walk soon found himself in front of the waterfall that fed the stream from way above. He noticed a narrow entrance and entered cautiously. His eyes adjusting to the darkness slowly as he took careful steps forward. As he followed the cave through twists and turns, slopes and hills, he saw a faint glow.
He came out into a cave which had a large pool of water, likely fed from the water above, and a large stone of some sort within it’s center. The large stone glowed a faint blue and seemed to urge him closer. Hesitantly, he lapped some of the water up before nestling down beside the water. His eyes drifting shut. The tom would open his eyes to find a long-haired shecat staring at him. “I have been waiting for you, Lou. I was calling you, hoping you would follow.” He squinted at her in confusion. “I’m not someone you know, but, this use to be where my clan stayed. But my clan turned on one another.. They killed each other for petty reasons and blind hatred.”She stated, sadness clear in her eyes.
“I called you hear as I believe you would make a fine leader. I believe you could revive my clan, perhaps make a clan greater than mine ever was. Settle down, I will explain to you everything you need to know about clan life.” The shecat said.
He wasn’t sure how long passed, but, he knew it was a while when the shecat finally said, “If you and the others decide to stay, you must come back.” He shot up suddenly, eyes wide as he suddenly darted out of the cave. As he exited the tunnel, he slammed straight into Ginny, who swiped at him in defense, not sure who he was at first. “Oh, Lou! I am so sorry.” she said, looking away in embarrassment. The shecat then called her shoulder, “I found him!” only to squeak as she realized they were already behind her. “Sit down, I have to tell you all something.”
Maple and a small tom named Flint informed them that Clan life wouldn’t be fit for them and headed for a small forest and making dens under the roots of the trees. This would become Maple’s Hollow, a place where loners would live for generations to come. Ren and Shelly left to become kittypets. The others, however, agreed, and soon.. Lou became SilverStar, named after his silver pelt. Ginny became RosePetal and was made his deputy. Acorn and Oats became AcornLeaf and OatWhisker, Oatwhisker becoming a medicine cat. There was also PineNeedle and LeechTooth and also LarkPaw.
Silverstar was quick to meet and win over loners, enticing them into his clan and expanding his ranks. At only 30 moons, he gave birth to Heronkit, who would later rise to HeronFlight, a young shecat with a strong mind and a want to leave her home to create one of her own. From her sprung fourth another clan, one destined to fall - Leafclan. Heron, now Heronstar, tempted cats from her homeclan to join her, and the clan formed as an ally to Streamclan. However, things quickly grew sour between Heronstar and her former clanmates, who called her a traitor. Her father, a now 64 moon old Silverstar, tried to calm her, saying she was no traitor and was only following her heart. However, the great Heron was tainted and filled with hate and saw her father as a liar. A fight broke out between father and Daughter, and Leaf and Stream were quick to follow. The clans were thrown into full blown war, and a prophecy was delivered from Starclan to medicine cats of Leaf and Stream...
A star will fall from rocky ridge to protect a bird who's lost her faith, and only then will Leaf and Stream be one again.
The medicine cats told their leaders in fear, but both Heron and Silver were not sure what it meant. But, as Silver watched his deputy, Rosepetal move to knock Heronstar from the rocky cliff they had been fighting upon, Silverstar realized what the prophecy meant. With agility unseen before, he raced toward his kin, knocking them aside and allowing his deputy to knock him over instead. As Silverstar fell, he felt his lives being ripped, and upon hitting ground, all could see for sure: silverstar was no more.
Saddened by the loss, and shocked by her father's sacrifice, Heronstar approached the ledge, and was quick to renounce her lives, taking her old name: Heronflight and allowing her father's deputy to take over. It was with her aid, however, that Stream and Leaf joined forces, becoming one singular clan again.

After every great leader, comes one of two things: An era of peace, or an era of unrest. In the case of Rosestar, it's the latter.
Lovely rosestar, the shecat who was once seen as a loving, hardworking, and helpful cat was quick to show her clanmates.. that what is shown may not be the truth. Her first act as leader was abolishing the warrior code, and ignoring the existence of Starclan. Cats were confused, wondering why and openly asked but she was quick to exile anyone who even dared question her choices. What followed was Kits becoming Apprentices at as young as 2 moons, and some even being forced to go through dangerous trials to be made warriors all while the shecat watched in amusement even if said kit died. Rosestar would force elders to become warriors again, often forcing them to work until they fainted or in some cases.. died. Many were attacked when they told her they would not work and others? Were killed by her trusty deputy, a tom by the name of Blackface. The two cats were mates and with their love.. Rosestar announced one morning that Blackface was their other leader. The odd adjustment to ranks was unsuspected and many cats were confused but they also knew.. that what was to follow.. would not be good. With the two as leaders, Rosestar could lie around while everyone waited upon her, and Blackstar could easily berate and punish anyone who didn't do as Rosestar asked.
The thing that would finally turn the clan upon them would the death of 7 kits. Who told Blackstar they would not do as he had asked, which was to go and fight some foxes that had been scented over the territory. The tom, enraged, informed rosestar and the two openly attacked the kits. The result was the kits mother attacking rosestar, and many of the apprentices, and warriors attacking blackstar and Rosestar as well when the Queen couldn't fight anymore due to sustaining injury. Rosestar and Blackstar were chased out and were finally killed by several loners, who were former warriors that Rosestar had exiled for disobeying her.

Smokestar's reign was a blessing. It was an era of rebuilding and with him, the clan flourished. Cats were able to return to the clan and continue the life they had had before the terrible reign that was Rosestar and Blackstar. The tom was quick to fall for a young shecat named Blossom, a loner who he met on a patrol. The two cats quickly became smitten and soon, Blossom became BloomingFlower, and shortly after that? Bloomingflower welcomed but 2 kits into the world, of them, a weak and scrawny shekit named Cloud, and a strong and burly tom named Bleak. Blooming and Smoke's relationship brought together a lot of cats, who were unsure of what the clan might think should they become mates with a loner or kittypet with much of the clan having long forgotten their roots. Luckily, the clan was able to grow further and soon, a new prophecy was given to the medicine cat at the time, a small shecat named Cinderburn.
A cloud will wander too close to a cave, where a lion sleeps with cubs at paw, and she shall bare a scar worse than all.
The minor prophecy was quickly given to Blossom and Smoke, the two cats realizing it was in regards to their darling kit, Cloud. The cats were determined to make cloud a medicine cat, in hopes the prophecy never came true, but alas, Cloud was out looking for herbs when she heard a mewl for help. She was quick to leave her mentor and soon stumbled upon a kit, though one too big to be a typical cat. Nonetheless, she nudged and pulled, following it's scent on back. She led it home and was shocked to find that the kit was infact a cougar and it's mom was unaware of her kind deed. The mother puma rose to her paws and with a powerful swipe, Cloud was blinded. The shecat had to make her way back, completely unable to see, her eyesight stolen at the age of 6 moons. Despite her new disability, her parents saw a new fiercer side come out with Cloud showing off her purpose: she was not going to let her blindness get the best of her. And so, with hesitance, Cloud was made a Warrior- not a medicine cat. She gained a new suffix, Clouded, to represent her clouded eyes, and with it the suffix Gaze. The cat rose up to deputy at 26 moons, which was quick to pull some disapproval from her clanmates as they all wondered how a blind cat could be deputy let alone a possible leader. Others saw it differently that Smokestar was simply showing favoritism to his kin. Bleak, who had been named Bleakhope, was quick to dismiss the claims and instead congratulated his sister.
One night in the dry heat of green leaf, the cats would wake to a fire. Smokestar and his mate were quick to help the cats out but, while getting the last of the queens and kits out, were trapped within the nursery by a fallen tree. The two ultimately suffocated and with their death.. Cloudedgaze became Cloudedstar.
