Realistic or Modern Storm-Struck in a Hotel

newcreate.php

The Lobby"You know, just because its hailing golf balls outside doesn't mean we're all gonna' die,"

Turning to look in direction of where the feminine French voice came from, Aurora raised an eyebrow for a moment as she scanned the woman head to toe. Black sunglasses in cold weather? Seemed a little dodgy. She shrugged her shoulders and shot her a smile,
"I know. I just said it for the fun of it." She explained to her, not once but twice now as this was the third time someone questioned her about what she had said. It was unbelievable how many people she managed to attract in just a matter of time. "So, what's with the black sunglasses?" She asked with a small laugh, nodding towards them. Leaning in out of the blue, she whispered to the fancy woman. "Are you a ninja spy?" She looked around to make sure that no one had heard her. It was actually quite funny how oblivious Aurora was, especially because she was stood right next to a celebrity/model - what she had been looking for since day one that she got here.

"Just for fun?" Arielle asked the blonde shaking her head. "Well, it did draw a lot of attention toward you... if that's what you were hoping for," she said with a smile. The brunette almost bursted out laughing when the shorter blonde asked if she was a "ninja spy". She didn't seem to know who she really was. That was a good sign. Hopefully it meant that the blonde woman wouldn't be one to base friendship on fame and money. The girl seemed to be quite childish, but it was quite amusing. Arielle did seem to like that about the shorter girl. She had to admit though, her sunglasses were a bit suspicious. It was odd to say the least. "Actually, I'm not a 'ninja spy'. I wear these glasses to uh... avoid paparazzi," she said slipping off her sunglasses to reveal a pair of crystal blue eyes. "I'm Arielle," she said turning to the other two.

Hunter watched as the woman approached Aurora and spoke with her. Smirking at Aurora's joke he silently observed the conversation between the two of them. But as she took off the sunglasses and turned around to address them recognition dawned on them. "My my, but ofcourse you need no introduction Miss Chantelle, I'm Hunter, Hunter Del Rio. It's a pleasure. Funny thing running into you here" He said with a smile.

Alaric Volkovsky

Alaric looked at the young woman's hand as it trailed down his tattoo covered arm. He moved away from her touch and looked at Hunter. He heard the young woman say her name was Aurora...like the princess in sleeping beauty or the villain in the Thor comics. He was about to speak when another young lady walked over and started talking to Aurora. She giggled at Aurora's response about them all going to die in the hotel.
"Alaric Volkovsky...please to meet you miss..." He told the other young woman who was wearing the black sunglasses. He heard Aurora make another preposterous notion and rolled his eyes a small smile on his face. "I'm sorry but what was your name again?" He asked Arielle.

The lobby was getting more and more crowded. The sheer number of people and conversations, to say nothing of one woman's insolent outburst, disrupted his concentration. At least he could get a grasp of the various fashion tastes the guests had. The keen-eyed fashionista could spot a few individuals whose style he approved of. Nothing special compared to his masterpieces, he would say if he was being totally honest and arrogant, but worthy of note and praise, at least. A few moments passed and he decided that merely sitting around wouldn't do his body any favors. Philippe got up and began wandering around what parts of the hotel he could access. It was a real pity that the weather made it impossible to go outside. As much as his metabolism loathed the cold, he loved being around snow. The sensation was...enchanting and surreal. This fixation for snow was the reason he didn't really stray far from the windows. People are going to think I'm like an emo kid on Christmas, just looking out the window like this, he thought.

~DemoGauge~

____________

Demo was speeding through the snow-ridden woods on his dirt bike, almost hitting tree's as his bike would lose control, due to horrible traction. Sheri was sitting behind him, rubbing his shoulders. "
They are coming... GO FASTER, YOU!" Demo felt like he was losing his mind. He didn't like feeling of his head almost splitting open, and the cold wasn't helping. He was only dressed in simple winter clothing, and didn't prepare for the long ride.

It felt like it was only yesterday, the adrenaline, the massive amounts of cops. The sound of sirens almost could be heard still, even though they had to be 200 miles away by now. Sheri had his back though, Sheri understood everything. She started whispering into his earlobe, slightly rubbing his shoulders more. "
Don't tell em' about me now... Wouldn't want people to think you were crazy or something!" He nodded in agreement, dodging a couple of trees in the process.

Finally, the massive building was now in sight. His bike was overheating now, which was extremely odd, due to the winter conditions. Did he fuck up his maintenance? Dirt bikes required constant work, yet he had been neglecting most of it, due to always being on the run. '
SPLEEEEEWWWW.' The dirt bike almost exploded, yet only popped like a firecracker underneath his ass. Demo got shot up in the air, hitting a tree branch as he fell to the snowy ground. Sheri was nowhere to be seen. DemoGauge lay'd on the snowy ground, passed out. It was only a matter of time before he would freeze to death. The adrenaline was long gone now.

Arielle smiled at Hunter. It was obvious that no one had recognized her with her eyes covered in her pair of sunglasses. If the people in front of her couldn't recognize her, how could the paparazzi recognize her? At least she knew the glasses did help a bit. "Nice to meet you Hunter," she said with a smile. Arielle turned toward the muscular tattooed one, the one who didn't seem to have caught her name, and he was quite attractive if you asked her. He didn't seem to have recognized her face or heard of her either. She liked that. She liked meeting people that had no idea who she was. They were new, different, and were promised to bring her on an adventure. People who didn't recognize her were also less likely to use her for her fame or money.

"I'm Arielle," she said, her accent lacing through. "Pleasure to meet you, Alaric" Arielle said running her fingers through her golden brown curls.

Florence Fosters

Florence also searched her pockets for her phone, following Leiya's lead. Just as she was about to pull it out, the elevator jolted, flinging her into it's side. The electricity flickered back on for a moment before hissing and fading once again. Florence recovered and rubbed at the top of her arm, she could already feel the bruise beginning to surface. She rubbed her temples and paced around the enclosed space. For as long as she could remember, Florence would pace in order to jog her thoughts. So she paced, focusing only on her footsteps. In the back of her mind she knew she probably looked crazy, but the only way they were going to get out of here was by using their brains. Suddenly Florence stopped and looked up Leiya,
"I got it!" Florence took her cell phone and jammed it in between the two elevator panels, creating a slither of an opening. From there she grabbed one door with her hand and placed her foot on the opposing door. She pulled with her hands and pushed with her feet, creating a gap big enough for her to slip through. The only problem was that the door was stuck in between floor two and floor three. She turned to Leiya "Well, we're gonna have to jump down onto floor three." Her voice wavered and shook as she looked down at the darkness below them. The jump and the gap were small, but one wrong step would end very badly.

Leiya

Lili watched fascinated with what Florence was able to accomplish. "What do you do battle bear for a living?" She did take a look at the opening. "Feels like I'm in Resident Evil right now." She mumbled but she was taking off her shoes still. She nudged Florence aside a bit ans calculated the distance from hear the third floor - while studiously not looking at the darkness that could be her death.

With one breath she sat down and started to shimmy out on backwards. Lili could just imagine what the people were thinking seeing her but wiggling at the top of the elevator door - God she hoped she wasn't flashing anyone.

When she was out just below her chest, her stocking feet barely getting a purchase anywhere, she pushed off from the elevator and landed gracefully on the floor. I knew gymnastics was good for something. Lili went back to the elevator opening and lifted her arms up. "C'mon Florence, I got you."

The Lobby"Oh, no no no. I didn't do that to catch anyone's attention." Aurora quickly spoke when she assumed that about her as she shook her head. She definitely wasn't the type of person to want anyone's attention - causing trouble was something natural for her. "It's nice to meet yo-", Aurora paused for a moment before speaking again, watching the girl remove her glasses to reveal her bright blue eyes. "Wait. Did you just say paparazzi?" She asked her in curiousity. Wait, so she was the celebrity rumours were going on about? Finally something. "Why are you hiding from paparazzi?"

"Yeah, I'm trying to hide from paparazzi," Arielle said with a shrug like it was something everyone did. She raised an eyebrow at Aurora when she asked her for the reason behind why she was avoiding the paparazzi. It was quite obvious why she didn't want to paparazzi to see her. She had many reasons. First off, who would want a band of paparazzi following them around. They spread false rumors and took unflattering photos of her. "Well, I'm tired of crazy, stalkers showing up at the door of my hotel room just because someone released a picture of me at a hotel going on with my everyday life. Don't get me wrong, I love my fans, but I don't enjoy having people stalk me wherever I go. I also don't appreciate how the press start false rumors about me. The amount of gossip they spread is insane," Arielle explained.

Alaric Volkovsky

"Paparazzi you say?" He asked Arielle before getting a closer look at her. "Ah I've seen you before...you are in the movie industry..." He told her smiling. "I can understand why you are avoiding the paparazzi..." He mumbled then smiled once more "I have a good idea...we all must be hungry and since we can't go to a local dinner we might as well find something to eat here...what do you all say? It would be a great chance to get to know each other more..." Alaric suggested to the rest of them smiling.

The movie industry? Close enough. "Yeah, that's pretty close," Arielle said to Alaric with a smile. Well, at least he understood why she was avoiding paparazzi. "Yeah, I agree. We should get something to eat. We're going to be stuck here for a while anyway," she said nodding her head in agreement. "Wait.... the receptionist didn't exactly say that we had to stay here. She 'advised' us to. Maybe we should find somewhere close-by to eat. No one is going to stop us from trying," she suggested, her eyes sparkling.

Sophie walked up to the windows, with Jin not so far behind, and peered outside. Wind was blowing snow in all directions and hail was pounding against the windows. It looked as if it would never stop and Sophie sighed. She suddenly took notice of a group of people still outside and holding cameras. "Wow, the paparazzi are relentless. They'd even stand in a storm just to get more celebrity gossip" she states in shock. Sophie almost felt sorry for them but she still remembered what they did to her and Jin. Both their careers were in jeopardy because of one stupid article that had obvious and exaggerated lies about their supposed 'secret relationship'. Of course there was no relationship but the paparazzi were relentless and demanded that there was one. They couldn't touch Jin but they had stalked Sophie's shop for hours on end and even set up secret microphones and cameras all over the shop. "We probably should move away from the window before they notice us. The stuff about our 'secret relationship' have just started to die down, I don't want to refuel it with a picture showing we were alone on vacation together. They'll definitely interpret it the wrong way" Jin says and the two moved away from the windows, far enough so they can't be easily seen.
