Realistic or Modern Storm-Struck in a Hotel

♨ Elsie ♨

The wind keeps blowing against the windows and doors of the hotel piling the snow up against it. One could hear the constant hitting of the hail against the roof of the hotel and the whistling of the wind against the windows. It was so bad, that it kept shaking the hotel doors to the point of it almost busting open. The day just keeps getting darker and darker with no hints of the sun showing up any time soon.

Elsie jumps getting startled by the man since she was expecting him to talk to her. She looks up at the man and scrunches her nose as she thought about the weather, "Peaceful for you, but for my car not so much." As she looked out at the snow, Elsie started feeling a bit stuffy with the heat of room and took off her wool jacket staying in a blue long sleeve shirt. She placed in on top of her other stuff.

She jumps again hearing the lady slamming her hands against the desk yelling, ""Holy potatoes! We're all going to die here!" Elsie's looks at her wide-eyed and looks at the man she's yelling at, "That poor man, he's getting hustled for something that isn't his fault. It isn't like he has a remote control that controls the weather." As she says this, she sees a man pushing his way through the line with people glaring at him and thinks to herself, Well, I guess we know who isn't going to make many friends here. Elsie can't help, but be a bit amused when he pushes the lady out the way, "I guess karma works quite quickly."

"Well this is getting old." Hunter joked as he couched to help Leiya again. "What the hell is wrong with that lady, shouting something like that. people were already tense with worry." Hunter shook his head as he looked in the direction of the woman, people were swarming towards her. What was she thinking? wanting attention? His eyes stayed on the woman as he picked up the last of Leiya's stuff again.

Arianna groaned and slammed her laptop closed. No luck of finding a job today, yay me. She could hear the hail banging against the windows and the roof, and was it annoying. "It's going to be hard falling asleep, won't it." Her mouth twitched to the side as she looked at the window, seeing the hail hit the window and some falling on the ground. She walked up and stared out the window, placing her hands on the small table that was right in front of it. Loving snow was her thing when she was a kid, but nothing like this. The snow was falling quite fast every second, and raining down harder every minute. She fidgeted with her glasses as she looked around outside.

Alexander looked out into the blizzard and watched as the hail rained down on the girl's car. He knew how bad the damage must've been when the hail stayed nestled in the hood and roof of the car. Oh yeah, definitely isn't the weather for cars. The sudden outburst from the girl at the front desk was surprising and slightly annoying. "There's no need to freak out like it's the end of the damn world, dummkopf." Alex snorted and smirked when the man bumped into her, he heard the girl beside him mention karma and let out a chuckle. He noticed that there were cups of freshly brewed coffee and tea. After easily avoiding the cups of tea he picked up two mugs of coffee and offered one to the girl, "Here you go. Oh, I'm Alexander. What's your name?"

"You're telling me." Lili grumbled. If she wasn't such a coward she would of yelled at the people who bumped into her but shoulda, coulda, woulda. The mass of people at the desk put off any thought of her asking if she would be charged for still using the room. The man who pushed the people out the way to get there made her feel a bit envious. In these heels she a fly could knock her over.

"Maybe I should take my chances out there." Lili said dryly to Mr. Del Rio. The hailstorm couldn't be thar bad right? She could handle a little snow.

Then my body would be found under twenty of inches of snow.

Either way standing here wouldn't help her. "I think I'm going to head back to my room Mr. Del Rio. And still thank you for helping me."

"I don't think it's wise to go out there right now. It's pretty nasty." Then as she said she'll be heading to her room he nodded. "Alright, and again there is no need to thank me. I guess I'll head to the reception desk and see what the fuss is all about. It's been a pleasure miss Brooks." Then Hunter started walking slowly towards the reception.

The question he had come here to ask was probably the one everyone was here to ask. When can they leave? But he didn't expect to get an answer to the question from the reception desk so he stood near the woman who predicted the death of everyone. He couldn't deny that she was pretty, he assumed she was one of those people who when annoyed they liked everyone around to know that they are. And ofcourse he couldn't resist commenting on the situation. He smiled at the blonde lady and said. "Let me guess, drama is your favorite genre right?"

Azalea tapped her finger on the wooden desk as she stared at the snow and hail falling from the sky. Thoughts ran through her head as she watched the snow piling up on the ground. She groaned and turned away from the window, she was bored, that's for sure. Grabbing the t.v remote, she turned on the television and turned on Modern Family, one of the t.v shows that she liked. She threw herself on the couch and started to watch the show. Staring at her laptop, she decided if she should look for any other jobs that be be online. "Nah." She said to herself and laid back on the couch, and watched the show. There wasn't that much to do since the storm started, going outside was a big no, so she can't go outside and drive anywhere. All she had was the internet, and being in the Hotel. "Guess I'm stuck here.." She talked to herself and stared at the television.

The Lobby"Scuse' me lady. In search of civilized land here..."

Aurora glared at the man that had shoved her aside as if she was literally a feather,
"Well excuse you." She muttered and she couldn't help but shove him back with her shoulder but chances are he probably didn't budge even a little. "Civilized area my butt." Walking off in annoyance, Aurora pushed her way back out of the bigger crowd she had happened to call around the information desks. Idiots.. She thought to herself, shaking her head. I guess she found it amusing that people took her serious when she said they were going to die. Like really? They were in a hotel and she was pretty sure that the blizzard would die down soon. Hopefully.

"Let me guess, drama is your favorite genre right?" Aurora turned to her right only to see a tall blondish man that seemed around his twenties. She shrugged her shoulders slightly and stopped in her tracks, "Hmm, I'm more of an action type girl but sure, drama is alright." She responded, nodding her head at him before she realised for a moment he could be kidding and wasn't really interested in finding out. "Wait. Was that a serious question or..?" Staring at him dumbfounded, Aurie raised an eyebrow.

"Nevermind, don't answer that." She murmured and shook her head, "I'm Aurie. Or Rory. But my full name is Aurora." Smiling at him, she pulled out her hand so that the two could shake 'cause that's what people did, right?

@Felix7 @PKCV2

Hunter was entertained as she started to answer his question honestly. "Hey, action and drama are a great mix." He said, his smile widening. "Lovely name Aurora." He shook her hand. "I'm Hunter, Hunter Del Rio, a pleasure to meet you." Then he looked around at the crowd. "So we're all gonna die huh? that'd be an interesting scenario I guess." He said jokingly. "I guess you don't like the fact that we're stuck here like the rest of us, you were checking out?"

@KaoriMei

Alaric Volkovsky

Alaric looked up when he heard some lady yell they were going to die. He just shoot his head at her outburst. It was just a snow storm he didn't think they were going to die over something like that. He stood up walking over to the lady. "Miss...we're you the one who blurted out that ridiculous notion that we are going to die because of a snow storm?" He asked her shoving his hands inside his pockets. "Don't you think it's a little...irrelevant that you said that? Sounds like you are trying to scare us...although...I think you did the job with some of the people in here..." He smiled a little then looked over at the young man. "Nice to meet you...the names Alaric Volkovsky..." He told him holding his hand out. "I hope I wasn't interrupting your conversation..."

Wick slowly looked down at the keys, not really with a purpose but more of a way to stare blankly at something while thinking what to do other than the wall. Or, sure, we have all had times where we accidentally stare at certain places which are not really that appropriate without even noticing it, and he really did not want to happen and have an awkward apology. His eyes quickly scanned the hallway in front of him, and he started to walk towards it, trying to explore the place a bit. An elevator dinged, and the sound of some un-monitored children and with a bit of a dose of sugar started blasting his ears, him quickly frowning and looking slowly at them. Then, he felt a slight thump, a girl slowly backing off and speaking quite rapidly "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Crazy, huh? Did you... uh, were you looking for someone?" he tried his best to quickly change his frown to a slight smile, not trying to seem rude.
''Well....uhhh.. Not really, I'm just looking for my room.'' he muttered slowly.

Leiya

Lili got off the elevator and took hurried steps to her hotel room. She needed to drop her stuff stat - and this time of her own free will. There were people still about though most of them were either heading downstairs or heading to their room. Lili was mindful of them hoping not to bump into someone and have threepeat of downstairs.

When she got to her room, it took a bit of skill to fish the key card out of her purse and not drop anything.

Only for the door to not unlock.

She didn't understand so she tried it three more times but the door didn't do that unlock bing. She tried it one more time for good measure. Horror was dawning on her. She looked at her watch in dread. It was past the time she was supposed to check.

LORD WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME!?

She was pretty sure she was ripping out hair with hard she was running her hands through it in agitation. Now she had to make another freakin' trip to the zoo downstairs. She was tempted to just leave all her stuff here but she didn't have a luxury to replace all of her stuff if it was stolen. With another cursed she trudged back to that chaos of the lobby.

Brushing aside the blonde woman who had been yelling seemed too easy. Of course the woman was much shorter and looked much skinnier, and Le'Veon had sometimes underestimated his strength which would lead to more than enough force being used whenever he acted. And seemingly this was one of those times. Decreasing the length of his strides, Lev gradually slowed as he focused his ears to listen for the sound of flesh smacking the hard floors of the lobby. Instead a weight, albeit a very light weight, though a weight nonetheless pushed against his body. Being the sturdy, conflict experiencing veteran that the dark-skinned man was, he only took a step back, not so much wavering but a simple step back. He could faintly make out the end portion of some phrase the woman uttered.

Turning his entire body to face the woman he turned only to see the backside of the small blonde retreating back to the desk the two were just at. With a small smirk Lev pushed the bill of his worn baseball cap higher and settled his gaze on the back of the lady's head. His eyes flicked down and then back up, taking in the full figure of the woman behind her back, and turned around to figure out what else to do. Right now it seemed like the athlete couldn't do anything before checking in. Finding a quiet corner of the lobby Lev placed his hands on his hips, bags still slung around both shoulders, and he became content with just observing the crowd, his short stature not allowing him to look over the crowd.

♨ Elsie ♨

Elsie looks at confused when he says the word, dummkopf. Elsie takes one of mugs smiling since she definitely prefers coffee over tea any day, "Thank you and I'm Estelle, don't call me that. I hate being called "Estelle" its too fancy sounding, just call me Elsie." Taking a sip of the coffee, she looks at Alexander curiously, "What in a world is a 'dummkopf?' If I had to take a guess, it's a definitely an insult or a curse word in a different language." Elsie picks her bag up setting it on the floor. She knew that she would have to go to her room soon to put her stuff away, but she didn't mind waiting to do that since she didn't mind talking to Alexander. She sits on the couch crossed legged. She knew it's a bit childish to sit like that, but she didn't really care since she was comfortable.

As Elsie sip on her coffee she hears and feels a sudden gush air come into the room. It was one of the doors that were forced open by the wind. The snow scatters onto the lobby floor and a few pieces of hail come into the room. Elsie looks at the few people who scrambled to go shut the door and says softly, "Oh dear.. The wind seems to be picking up pretty strong and quick. I, for one, will not being going outside anytime soon."

Florence Foster

Agitated yells and panicked shouts caused Florence to snap out of her current conversation with the two guests. She excused herself and shimmied her way out of the crowd. On her way upstairs she bumped into a tall slender woman, her curly hair was disheveled and her eye's tired. The woman was holding multiple bags and she seemed to be struggling, so Florence instantly offered her help. She giggled and reached for one on the bags, "Here i'll get that for you. Is there a problem? Well... besides for the fact that you're stuck in a snow storm with a bunch of lunatics". Florence's hand quickly flew to her mouth and she blushed. Rule number one of customer service was to never complain about the guests to other guest. "Oh gosh, sorry. I shouldn't have said that. They're probably not all lunatics." She mentally screamed at herself to shut up. Her gaze fell to the ground in an attempt to reorganize her thoughts. She pushed back her hair and straightened up, "Anyways, do you need me to take those to your room?"

Lili was relieved to see a worker that wasn't in any rush and more so that she wasn't uptight. "Don't worry about it; they are lunatics." Then she actually noticed the maids uniform. If she was a maid then she must have a key card!

"Actually about the room . . ." She trailed off hoping that this woman's response would be to helping her and not saying 'tough luck'. "I was supposed to check out today but you know - the storm - and I think the key card was canceled since it was past checkout time." Please I don't care but just get me into that room. "By any chance could you let me back into the room until I can talk to the front desk?"

Alexander beamed at her, "You were right Elsie, feel free to call me Alex. Dummkopf is German for for 'fool'. I'm sorry about that, I have a tendency of switching to my native tongue." He looked down into his steaming mug while feeling a little bit of embarrassment. Situations like this happened a lot more than he'd like for it. After shaking his head to clear his thoughts he took a gulp from his mug resulting in scalding his tongue. A sound similar to a hiss escaped his throat while he tried to play it off. Alex stuck out his tongue in an attempt to cool it off but he still sounded a little different than before, "You can have a lot of fun in this weather...but it may not be the best for people not use to it." The scaly feeling of his tongue was bothering him while he took a seat across from Elsie and laid down on the couch.

Florence was glad to finally be of some use. She nodded enthusiastically and fished around the pocket of her dress uniform, searching for the all-access key card. On she found it, she held it up with a smile. "There we go, I knew I had it on me." She pressed the elevator button and gestured for the woman to follow, adjusting the bag in her arms. "My name is Florence by the way. What floor are you on?"

@Tiegirl

Leiya

"Fourth." Lili answered following behind her into the elevator. "I'm Leiya and thanks for the help. It's like everything is going to heck because of this storm." She huffed annoyed but still grateful to find a silver lining in the clouds in the form of Florence. Lili filed away in her mind to tip l the woman a twenty before she left.

The number 4 lit up as Florence pressed it, sending the metal contraption upwards.Suddenly there was a loud pop and the elevator came to a stop. The perky music faded on and off, creating an unnerving atmosphere. The lights flickered, casting shadows throughout the metal box. Florence is normally a very calm and balanced person, but she hadn't been trained or prepared for a situation like this. Slowly, the lights faded along with the music. Florence frantically pressed the open button to no avail. She then held down the safety button and spoke into the microphone.
"Hello this is Florence Foster, i'm in the elevator closest to the lobby. I'm with a guest and we're stuck-" The line started crackling and erupted with static white noise. It was completely dark, the only light coming from the broken safety button. She turned to Leiya, "Shit, well I guess this night isn't getting any better."

@Tiegirl ((I'm going to try to get some sleep soon, but I thought i'd leave us with a bit of a plot twist haha))

Leiya

"No, no, no this isn't happening." She pressed the safety button, repeatedly. "C'mon you have got to be joking. This is all one big fat joke." She continued pressing the button while looking at Florence with strained smile. "Right, this is either a joke or a mistake and the elevator will begin moving any moment now." I'm not being punished right? I didn't run over someone's dog and then drove off - I mean stuff like I would at least remember right?

Her silver lining was disappearing only to return with an aha moment. Lili dug into her bag for her salivation. Her cellphone. With that I can call the front desk or someone here and they can let us out. Yeah that's how it would go and she and Florence would be free.

But she didn't find it. After dumping her bag and checking every impossible crevice and crease she realized that her phone must if fell out when her things fell out of her bag.

And with that her hope was dashed.

@VintageBlues [understandable and that was a great twist to end the night on.

As Hunter awaited the lady's reply another man approached them. "Well a little panic never hurts." Hunter smiled then as the man introduced himself Hunter took his hand and shook it. "It's a pleasure Alaric, I'm Hunter, Hunter Del Rio. And you didn't interrupt at all." Hunter looked around, "Though this storm sure is curious. I don't..." Then suddenly a strong gush of air forced one of the doors open and some hail landed on the lobby's floor. Hunter looked at the hail that scattered on the ground as he rubbed his shoulder, he only had a navy blue t-shirt on and not prepared for strong winds. "Man that's some big-ass hail."

Sophie watched as the lady left. "Aw, I never got her name. She was really nice" Sophie said taking a sip from the tea that the lady offered to her. Although she has Jin, she was hoping to make some new friends at the hotel. Jin was her best friend but Sophie knew she was going to get tired of him in a couple days. She was glad Jin was here with her but she needed more than one friend to make her time here enjoyable. Jin took a sip from his tea before saying "You'll probably see her again". Jin was trying to reassure Sophie that they'll meet the lady again so that she wouldn't look as sad but he had a small feeling that they'll be stuck here for a while. Shaking the thought away, Jin continued with Sophie towards the seating area.

The LobbyA grin fell on Aurora's face when he said this and she nodded her head, "Yeah. They are." Aurora almost totally forgot about the man that had shoved her aside rudely as she spoke to the nice fella in front of her. "The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Del Rio." She playfully spoke almost as if she were greeting the queen or something. Before Aurora could reply back to the man, the conversation was interrupted by a random huge bloke man.

"Miss...we're you the one who blurted out that ridiculous notion that we are going to die because of a snow storm?"

Turning to face him, she simply nodded her head in reply, not really bothered.
"Nah, just said it for the hell of it." She responded with a small laugh as the stranger then turned to greet Hunter. "Oh yeah - I'm Aurora. Just so you know." She nodded her head and gave his ink-covered arm a pat, eyeing him up and down. "You're one big fella."

Aurora's attention was soon caught by the hotel lobby door slamming open and into the wall, allowing a wind of gush to to run through the hotel lobby.
"Wow." She mumbled as strands of her blonde hair flew back and around her face. "Looks like we're going to be staying here for a while.." She told the other two with a deep sigh - although it was probably obvious to them as well.

Arielle glanced out the window of her taxi. The beautiful Saalbacher Hof Hotel came into view as she arrived at her destination. "Thanks," she muttered anxious to get out. "Eh, no problem. Just a heads up, the paparazzi are already here. They're behind the bushes, if you wanted to know," the cabbie responded. The driver reached out behind him expecting some cash. Arielle reached into her purse to receive a few dollars. "Keep the change," She said placing the roll of cash into the outstretched hand of the cabbie. She opened the door the door of the car and made her way into the winter wonderland. Or at least that was what she was expecting. Instead of the white, sparkling snow she was welcomed with a whole ton of hail.

Arielle ran into the lobby cursing to herself in French. She hid her face behind a pair of pitch black sunglasses and tried desperately to avoid the paparazzi as they snapped a few photos of her. She eventually made her way into the lobby unharmed by the hail or the paparazzi. She walked over to the front desk to check-in and receive her room key. After receiving her key, she made her way over to the elevator waiting for a ride.

She stopped in her tracks as an announcement came on through out the hotel.

Ladies and gentlement, please excuse the short notice, but all visitors and employees are advise to stay in the building due to poor weather conditions outdoors.

Sorry for the inconvenience and we hope your stay is pleasant. Thank you for choosing the Saalbacher Hof Hotel and have a nice day!

Arielle rolled her eyes. Great, that's great. Guess I'll be stuck here for a while.

She looked over her shoulder to see a blonde screaming her head off that everyone was all going to die. Two guys seemed to scramble over to either help her or to calm her ass down. Arielle decided to take that as an excuse to mingle with some other guest. If she was going to be stuck her for a while, she should at least get to know a few people.

Arielle made her way up to the blonde lady. "You know, just because its hailing golf balls outside doesn't mean we're all gonna' die," she said giggling in a faint french accent. She hoped the lady didn't recognize her like most people did. It would be great to meet someone who didn't want her company just for fame and cash.
