Ariko watched as Julius approached him and began to speak, a look of disapproval residing on his face. He felt like this man was trying to goad him at first, but the words came off as quite sincere which was a surprise. He locked eyes with the man and stared straight back, taking just half a step forward not wanting to back down in any way. “Not many people have the guts to come at me like you, respect. I'll let it slide this time, better not be a next. I would hate to spend some time in the klink after introducing you to the ground.”

And with that things were settled, Ariko extending his own hand and grasping Julius’s firmly and offering a devilish smirk as he considered crushing it. He could tell the man was definitely passionate about his work just from the state of his skin, and Ariko wasn't one to be overly petty so he shook hands without incident and returned to his post to watch Aedrianna.

It was truly amazing to listen to her and watch her work her magic. Ariko couldn't help but to think she would have made a great con artist in his old gang, but it was refreshing not screwing people out of their hard earned money. He couldn't help but to stare at Aedrianna as she worked, hoping it wouldn't make her uncomfortable.

She'd have commented on Kiyo thinking he made everyone sad, but he'd ran off before she could reply to him. It was... a tad rude. Annoying, perhaps. Yet she figured she'd not make a big deal out of it. It seemed he was either rather young or rather naïve when it came to social etiquette. Perhaps both. Either way, with how much trouble she'd been confronted with and how many rather traumatizing events she'd been forced to live through, his words didn't carry enough impact to worsen her mood, for better or worse. She was more curious about there being people living in the See that weren't even aware their country was at war. That didn't sound like a great prospect for the See's war efforts, especially regarding recruiting new people for the fight.

On the topic of her mood, it was growing brighter when she followed along with Aedrianna's instructions. “Ah, I see.” She'd reply, putting a bit more pressure on after using the cloth. Truthfully, she wasn't as stable-handed when it came to tail-dyeing as Aedrianna, yet she certainly gave it her all.

The one who enjoyed it most seemed to be Regula's tailed advisor, who was just staring with a bit of a dopey expression at this point.

That said, Regula listened to the next bit of explanations. “Why would one wish to replicate natural hair colour?” She asked, not entirely sure what the purpose of that might be.

“These are certainly alchemical usages that I wouldn't have come up with myself.” She stated, as she wrapped up dyeing her assistant's tail. The latter seemingly slightly disappointed the process was already over.

“It's a surprisingly easy process, although I'm afraid I wasn't able to draw as accurately as you were.” She mentioned, checking the results.

“It's no problem, milady, I love it.” The assistant was quick to speak up, tail start to wag. Hopefully that wouldn't ruin the dyed parts too much. “Aren't miss Belmonte's products extraordinary?” She'd state, though it was clear where her bias might stem from.

That said, when Regula and Silvia were given a marshmallows, they'd both accept it and... stare at it. “I'm afraid I'm not sure what this is used for.” Regula eventually admitted, after observing the odd small, soft cube thing. It was too small to use for cleaning and it felt slightly sticky and squishy... She was pretty lost on what it was.

“Griffin...” She was thinking back, trying to recall, but she didn't. Not until Aedrianna mentioned wings. “Ah, yes, I believe he was with Gunhild at the time... shame we never did find the time to fly together.”

The next bit took her off-guard. “Gold dust?” She shook her head. “No offence, but it sounds like it'd be terribly itchy to get such things stick between my feathers. Besides, I'm sure gold dust in feathers wouldn't even look nearly as pretty as the blue and pink colours do in yours.” She'd unconsciously throw in some [Baroness' Charm], as Aedrianna was doing a great job at captivating her interest and made her start considering trying to convince the girl to return more often in the future or stick around. The gold dusting assistance from Soreiel made her only slightly more interested, but it still didn't win her over. It'd be a different story if they were going to spruce up Sori's tails with gold dust, but alas.

Either way, she was successfully made interested in what Aedrianna was up too. “Could you name a few of those other products you've been working on?”

She was a bit surprised to see the cat boy return. “Hello again... Hmm. Tea to improve one's mood? I'd argue any good tea does that. If you need to calm down in particular, there's lots of options. There's some green tea types that are a bit bitter, but can help you get energy. Some dark, black tea, types that help you feel refreshed. Some lavender that'll help against feeling sombre or anxious, ginseng root to help you feel more aware, chamomile to help sleep well...” She listed a few options.

His eyelids slowly began to fall and he let out a big yawn, revealing his feline teeth to Gwenith, as he felt the fatigue from the last few days hit him all at once. “...N-no! I got to stay awake for my new friends!” He forced his eyelids open wide and took his head off the staff.

“The…the energy one, Please!” Although he managed to win against the tiredness this time, it would not be long before he fell asleep.

The concert was going well. Many people came to listen to her and seemed to like what she was playing. This was all that Noelle wanted. Although she still saw some room for improvement. When she finished her song Noelle noticed Aedriana had arrived and was trying to get her attention. "Oh sweet. Aedri and Sori are here too now!" The mermaid figures she could do one last song before she would greet her friends. So Noelle took a deep breath and started playing one last song.

When the song ended Noelle took the applause with a bow. "Okay! That has to do it for me for today. You were a lovely crowd and I hope you have all enjoyed yourself!!" She said cheerfully. When she looked she saw that Aedri and the group were leaving following the winged woman. "HEY! WAIT UP!!" she yelled as she ran after them as they were escorted to the baroness’s forge.
Noelle kept to the back. There were some people there that she hadn't met before. Like the hooligan-looking guy and the cat boy that left after Aedrianna coloured his ears. But if Aedrianna trusted them then they couldn’t be bad people. And then there was that winged woman. The real reason why Noelle kept a bit off a distance. Although the woman looked elegant and well-mannered. Something about her felt a bit unsanitary to the girl [Insight F](sensing the “tail Freak” title). But as they were her guests Noelle would not like to act upon a hunch and insult their host with her suspicion. For now, Noelle will just stay there and not draw too much attention to herself as the winged woman and her servant seem to be more interested in Aedri’s dyes anyway.

The Squirrel had murmured to herself more than anything. She thought it over. The goal was to use it in agriculture, so after a moment of contemplation, she said.

“Depending on what kind of agricultural building you are going with, it could be used to make some pretty sturdy tabletops and fences… it could also be used to make extra containers.”

She answered, if there had been other options she could’ve recommended more suitable things. However, this had to do with making sure a decent material didn’t go to waste.

“As for the caves… we might use those to gather potential materials depending on how things go. Not before asking you for permission though, Lady Caelia. Before we ever decide to do that.”

Communication would need to be kept clear. If any plan or blueprint were put into effect. She listened to Kiyo and Regula’s conversation. She wanted to say something to Kiyo before he left. She was sure they could’ve gotten along with the way he was talking. They were by no means that similar, unfortunately, but the one thing that stuck out was them being 'different' in a sense. That and they hadn't really spoken much. Maybe if he came back she could reassure him that being different wasn’t a bad thing. Eriedeth listened as Regula and Aedriana spoke. Hair dye didn’t seem to be a thing that had existed in Ryke before.

One of those things had Eriedeth was used to being a thing due to her 20 something years on earth. The beast forgot some items simply either didn’t exist or weren’t really discovered or invented yet in this world. Which was…probably weird. She’s lived in this world 19 years. That would be long enough to grasp, that she hoped. Eriedeth spoke up. Eriedeth already had her own thoughts on it. However, it was not her turn to speak up on the matter.

Julius would crack a smile at Arikos' threat, “I’m sure if that happens I had it coming.” With that the two would shake hands, in the back of his mind he was surprised and thankful that Ariko didn’t crush his hands.

“ I’m going to head back over to the others and hopefully finish networking. Don’t make things awkward and brood over here alone for too long.” He would joke as he pulled his leather gloves back over his hand as he returned back to the group.

“Pardon my absence everyone. Did I miss the demonstration again?” Julius seemed genuinely disappointed, he managed to return in time to hear Regula ask about the other products Aedrianna had been working on.

“Ah yes! I would love to see the other products you have on display as well. Perhaps you could even use me as a demo for that gold dust you have next to you. If it’s not too much trouble that is.” He would look towards Soriel and Aedri. His attempts at extending an olive branch has yet to net him much however he wasn’t going to give up easily​

Teuihua felt a bit bad when Rosalia repeated bodily damage but it was true when he had seen Regula after the damage had actually been fairly minimal, he had been in the pocket dimension when she had been near death before the restoration kicked in to save her.

“I will keep an eye on her, It is one of my prime objectives to ensure her safety, and I want to do everything in my power to ensure that she is safe, no matter what she does or where she goes.” Teuihua reaffirmed with a bow to Rosalia.

After she had her dialogue with Aiden, Teuihua nodded, “I understand, it has been quite an eventful time at the fair, all things considered, you saw a lot.”

“Of course, I will escort you back.” Teuihua replied. Teuihua would then presumably escort her back, and then go and see what was going on in the fair elsewhere where he hadn’t been, presuming he wasn’t needed after being dismissed from his primary task, ensuring that everything was in order as he tended to do when he was out and about. He felt good that he had kept her safe, and hoped that Rosalia had felt well protected during his task.

Noelle's last hit before following after Aedri and Sori seemed particularly popular among a younger audience, with some kids stopping by and bopping up and down to the fun and energetic tune. Although Noelle might sense the [Tail Freak] title, Regula herself sensed no [Tail] and had little to no interest. She was also already busy on dyeing Sylvia's tail and discussing products with Aedrianna, for that matter.

That said, Regula would find some time to answer Eriedeth. “I should warn you, the average type of stone we find within the soil isn't nearly pretty enough for tabletops or well-shaped enough to be building materials for anything more complex than a fence. Although I am curious how you'd make a container out of it.”

As for the mines, she nodded. “All in all, I hope to improve the mines at some point. Perhaps you might be the group to ask, as it seems you might help figure out a way to do so without ruining too much of the natural beauty of the mountain. There's a Fae major in the town there whom would probably appreciate it if we'd try to keep the nature as untouched as possible...” She nodded to herself. “Increasing our water supply, improving Sootspire's mines, figuring out how to utilise the vast amounts of stone from preparing the soil for agriculture. These three things might be highest on my list of things I'd appreciate ideas for.”

Teuihua, having wrapped up his job of protecting Rosalia, ended up running into Saffron short after as he headed back into the fair. “Hey! If it isn't my favourite Construct!” She called out. She was very clearly in her 'off-duty' mode with how cheerful and energetic she was. “I thought I'd seen you wander around already! Have you been enjoying the Fair as well? I must say, that Lakefolk singer just a bit ago was pretty nice, though Janja bringing her entire herd into town must be the highlight, no?” She'd ask him. “Although... perhaps seeing you challenge Hallr's strength challenge might also be neat!”

Aiden watched the exchange with a smile, appreciating Gwenith's generosity. "Hey, Kiyo," he said warmly, "if you need a little more energy, maybe some honey in your tea will help. It’s great for a quick boost."

Though he briefly considered the cost, his desire to help outweighed his apprehension. Aiden grabbed a small jar of wildflower honey and handed it to Kiyo. “Just mix a spoonful into your tea. It’ll help keep you awake and give you a bit more energy. And don’t worry about paying for it this time. Consider it a gift between new friends.”

Aiden then turned to Gwenith with a grateful nod. “Thanks for helping him out, Gwenith. Your teas really do wonders.”

Kiyo bowed multiple times with what little energy he had. “Thank you! thank you!” He carefully took the tea and mixed a spoonful of the honey into it. After blowing on the tea he took a small sip. “W-wow!” He gasped loudly in pleasant surprise with wide eyes. He then took another sip, and then another. It was like rays of sunshine had pierced the grey clouds, allowing the sun and blue sky through.

After a few minutes, he could feel fresh energy fill his body, perhaps a little too much. “On the Grand Tree of Harmony, I promise to repay my debt!” He said quickly to Gwenith and Aiden while experiencing the sudden caffeine and sugar rush.

He swiftly left the vendors and eagerly walked back to where the Baroness, Aedrianna, Soreiel, Ariko and the rest were to show the Baroness what the dye looked like after being rinsed off.

While Aedrianna had begun her demonstration and guided the baroness in the application to Silvia’s tail. Soreiel was surprised to see Julius and Ariko shake hands and cease hostilities.

Soreiel then saw Kiyo make himself scarce as the heat from the forge was getting to him, leaving and heading back towards the center of town.

She then looked back at Aedrianna and decided to make herself scarce as well, leaving the forge to find a place to change. She then cautiously entered the Baroness’s home to find a bathroom where she in turn removed her old slave outfit and put on her new one.

“The shoes will need some getting used to, but all in all I like it” she smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. After a while of checking over herself and giving her hair and tails a quick brush, she folded her old clothes and put them in the bag and proceeded to return to Aedrianna at the forge to see if she had finished.

The golem stopped in his tracks and gave Saffron a bit of a smaller perhaps shyer wave. “Oh, Hello Saffron, nice seeing you here.” It felt good to be called someone’s favorite construct, between her and Gunhild, he was having quite a nice time with friendly familiar people.

“Yes I have been enjoying my time actually, though I will say that a large portion of the time I have been here was spent partially on business, I was tasked with protecting Baroness Caelia’s mother and have just gotten off duty. However I did run into Janja and she seemed to be doing well, and her herd was quite nice as you said. Very healthy and wool which is very high quality. Thankfully I was not challenged to a duel by her Ram once again.” Teuihua would chuckle a bit at the latter sentence.

"In addition I do not know if you saw but Zeouli made her own stand of arrangements, the language barrier made things ab it more difficult but I am pleased to see that she at least had some who could appreciate her crop arrangements."

“I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the singer, this lake region is not a place I have heard much about nor do I know much of, in fact i am uncertain if, it was well known where I was from during my time..”

“Hallr has a strength challenge?” He’d question, not having heard of it, if there was something Teuihua would be good at it was probably a strength challenge no doubt. Regardless he would continue,

“Eventful day aside, have you been well since i last saw you?"


“I..actually did get something for you which I hope you might enjoy.” He would say if there was a natural point in the conversation where it felt right. He would reach over to his shoulder and present to Saffron the Lavender Honey jar.

“Apparently it goes well in Tea particularly those which are floral or herbal, I do imagine it would taste good in other applications too, but I thought something like that could be good.”

“I was informed for optimal storage it should be kept in a cool dark place, and if the honey crystallized due to it not being used for a good while you can heat the jar in warm water and it will liquify again.”

With a swish of his tail, he returned to the forge with the heat smacking him in the face. Upon entering the Forge he saw Noelle, the performer from earlier whose music put Kiyo into a state of bliss. “Hey! You’re the one that was playing the harp. I really liked your performance.” He said, grinning. It was a struggle for him to focus on one thing due to the excess energy causing his mind to bounce from one thing to another.

She'd have replied to Kiyo, but he ran off before she could. Sighing, but then chuckling a bit, she'd turn to Aiden. “You're helping him out as well. I think you've gotten him the more expensive gift. That said, how big do you the chances are we'll ever see him again, after such a fancy promise? I'm not even sure what the Grand Tree of Harmony is, but it sounds important. Let's hope he won't get smitten down like you might be if you're going back on an oath made to the god of Law.”

Soreiel would quickly realise that trying to enter the home of a noble, without an invitation or without being known by the noble's guards, was a bad idea. The moment she tried to approach the door to enter the main keep, she'd be halted by two guards. “The keep isn't open to the public. Scram.” One of them would say. Perhaps the main reason they weren't more rough or violent were the nine fluffy assets, as they did know the baroness might eventually invite such folk over. Yet even for someone looking like that, they had orders not to let anyone in without direct authorization from the baroness or the baroness' mother. Should Soreiel explain herself, they'd instead point her to an empty storage room along the courtyard.

“Ah, I hope that wasn't too difficult? I can't imagine anyone wanting to hurt her, but there's some shady folk out there.” She'd reply upon hearing about Teuihua's previous assignment. “Ah, the infamous Cayde Ramminger. I heard stories about him from some of my customers. Makes me wonder who he's named after, as I think there was someone...” Either way, it wasn't important right now.

“Oh, yes! I visited Zeouli a bit ago, before meeting the performer. I couldn't understand a word she said, but she seemed happy to just show off her stuff, so I just smiled and nodded~” She answered.

She titled her head. “The Continental Lake is as old as the continent... I think? I'm not that much of a history fan.” She admitted. “Either way, I'm surprised you don't know about it.”

“He has, but I don't think many people are joining it. It's just lifting rocks and he always wins. It's not that great, truth be told. He should come up with something more fun next time.” She nodded to herself.

“Yep, it's been great having a day off~” She replied. She accepted the honey with some genuine surprise. “Oh my, how very kind of you!” She stated. “I didn't even know there was a honey merchant. I must've just missed him.” Upon hearing about the optimal storage, she'd open up a small [Pocket Dimension]. “Cold and dark~ That should keep it safe and sound.”

She hummed for a bit. “Hmmmm.... Nope. I'm afraid I don't know what to give in return. I'll try to come up with something later though!” She promised.

Erich listened to Eriedeth's suggestions being put forth to the baroness. The one which caught his attention was the mention of a cave and materials. He crossed his arms for a moment, as if already thinking of a solution for it. "I suppose that automated, mechanical extractors, using laser cutters, would minimize whatever damage that could be brought to the mine with comparison to more manual means of extraction." He commented, remembering some of his designs had been used to that end in the past. The only question that would remain was if there would be the necessary materials or suitable replacements for the machinery.

However, the whole demonstration of the hair and tail dyeing had also caught his attention. He wondered if that was some odd tradition that he was unaware of, not really understand the use for it. His eyebrows furrowed as he kept thinking time and time again of the possible utility for it, but ended up failing miserably. Still, he watched the demonstration, seeing that even Julius had joined them once more and wanted to be the test subject for it.

“It requires a great deal of vigilance I will say. Thankfully there did not appear to be any people who wished to do her harm at this event, however i am well aware that the threat should always be taken into consideration regarding the safety of important people particularly at events where many non-locals are coming in to visit.” Teuihua nodded in agreement.

Teuihua looked back at Saffron curiously, not having heard about the naming reason behind the ram, tilting his head a bit.

“Well thank you for being kind to her then, I understand it isn’t the easiest when you are unable to understand someone or what they did, but I am sure it has been quite a learning experience for her, so having kind people around yourself I’m certain has been encouraging.” Teuihua replied warmly.

“Much of my travels are limited to only having seen certain parts of the nation which I originate from truthfully, which while expansive..knowing all about the world was not necessarily necessary for my primary function It is also possible I am not making the connection between the common language and what my people referred to this place as, as I am aware there are certainly bodies of water and people who inhabited.”

Aiden watched Kiyo leave with a mixture of amusement and concern. “I’m not too sure what the Grand Tree of Harmony is either, but it definitely sounds important,” he replied to Gwenith, chuckling softly. “I’ve learned to take such grand promises with a grain of salt. People often say things in the heat of the moment, especially when they're feeling grateful or excited.”

He glanced at the small jar of honey in Kiyo’s hand, hoping it would indeed help the young cat boy. “As for seeing him again, who knows? The world has a funny way of bringing people back into our lives when we least expect it.”

Turning back to Gwenith, he added, “I think helping each other out is just part of what makes these fairs special. And even if we don’t see Kiyo again, I’d like to believe that small acts of kindness have a way of making the world a better place, bit by bit.”

“Well, the continental lake is just a giant sea of water in the middle of the continent. Can't really miss it. Some folk say there might've been land in the middle that sunk down and now created an underwater city.” She tried to explain to see if it'd ring any bells for Teuihua.

Eriedeth was proud she could consider a successful connection to be made, with some Ryke nobility at that! That..must mean their company is on the right track, doesn’t it? She hoped so. She thought about other uses.

“Hmmm if there is that much excess rock we could probably use it ourselves to make some items for testing purposes, though that wouldn’t be very beneficial to you. Rock stability affects what you can generally do with it.”

She listened to Erich and then nodded. She did say.

“Sounded more like he's talking about gear than constructs to me, Lady Caelia....although constructs could also aid the mine endeavor… could we probably work on making 3 or so constructs to focus on some of the main aspects of the mine depending on what we are expecting? Otherwise, we could also go in with some equipment and see what we couldn’t do in that regard. will need time to properly plan the excavation."

She did have some prototypes in the making. Maybe those would be beneficial if they were ready in time? Sounds like a better bet.

Aedrianna glanced around the forge, realizing with a slight frown that both Sorieiel and Kiyo had run off. It seemed her party had a tendency to disperse at the most inconvenient times. Her gaze fell on Ariko, who was watching her intensely, causing the faintest tinge of pink to creep onto her cheeks—likely due to the heat of the forge, or so she told herself. She met his gaze with a hint of uncertainty, wondering what was going through his mind.

Turning her attention back to Regula and Julius, Aedrianna offered a polite smile. "I apologize for my flighty companions,” she began, her voice steady. "The marshmallow is for eating—it’s a sweet treat." She handed them a couple more, demonstrating by popping one into her mouth with a smile.

Moving efficiently, she started to describe some of the products her family produced. "We specialize in a variety of herbal and alchemical products that can greatly enhance daily life. For instance, we create various medicines and tinctures that aid in healing and health maintenance. Our tinctures are formulated to address specific ailments, such as reducing fever, alleviating pain, and boosting overall vitality. Additionally, we produce salves and ointments for various ailments, from soothing burns to alleviating muscle pain."

She continued, “For hygiene and comfort, we have a selection of soaps and shampoos infused with natural extracts, ensuring a gentle yet effective cleanse. Our most popular product is a soothing balm made from a blend of lavender and chamomile, perfect for relaxation and promoting a good night's sleep. We are also working on a bug repellent, effective against common pests, and with further research, we hope to develop a repellent strong enough to deter even the largest of insects.”

Addressing Sylvia, she suggested, "You might want to rinse your tails out now to see the results. I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the vibrant colors."

She turned back to Regula and Julius, responding to their queries. "Regarding the replication of natural hair color, some people prefer a more subtle change, enhancing their natural look without appearing artificial. It’s particularly popular among those who wish to cover gray hairs or simply add a touch of vibrancy to their natural shade."

Aedrianna smiled, pleased to have captured their interest. "We’re always looking to expand our reach and help more people discover the benefits of natural, alchemical products. If any of these items interest you, I’d be more than happy to arrange a demonstration or provide samples." As she said that last bit she smiled to Julius and maintained amiable eye contact for a full three seconds.

Then she glanced around at the her Party that had just returned and gave a deep curtsy before she continued, "Thank you for your time, My lady. “Well..I suppose the main difference is our materials and how I was created differently through..a different process, and that I am not of an organic background, of course I would like to agree with you, but I do know there are those who do not agree or do not look kindly toward my kind, but I do not believe i can fully blame them, it must be threatening on some level for some to have beings created in what are deemed less natural and or inferior ways which are so capable be around…even so, thank you for your forward thinking Saffron, I really do appreciate it.”


“Oh, apologies, I was hoping to be polite and was unaware that was not a topic which was appealing at this time, however, I will say that regardless I hope that all is well there, and furthermore that there is nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy yourself on a day off, after all these events are not everyday and you deserve to relax just as anyone else does.” Teuihua reaffirmed.

“There is always time to work, not always an opportunity to rest so when they arise and it’s fine it is not wrong to take them.” Teuihua figured that much was true, even if it felt like for him his work was pretty constant, but he hoped she would appreciate his thoughts even so.

She chuckled at how serious Eriedeth was soaking in any snippet of information she was given. “You're surprisingly serious about it all, which I like. I'll ask one of my advisors to draft up a more detailed description of some of our most pressing challenges, along with our own ideas and any hindrances we encountered. That should allow us to discuss more options at a later, more suitable moment.”

The next bit was a bit more surprising. “Ah? I thought automated was the word used for constructs without much of a personality to them, but I'll admit I haven't heard it used all that often. Either way, whichever option is chosen, I'll probably find someone to supervise the tests or see if I can free some time to do so myself. Yet that would also have to be figured out at a later date.”

She'd turn to Aedrianna next. “They haven't done anything too troublesome, so no need to worry.” She reassured her regarding the companions. Not aware that one of those had just tried to barge into the keep.

“For eating?” She asked, a tad surprised. Well, she did have healing magic, should worst come to worst and she was being poisoned, so she figured she'd give it a try. Her assistant doing the same. After chewing on and swallowing the marshmallow, she had to admit. “It's a surprisingly unique and pleasant texture. Though the taste is a bit... dull?” There didn't seem to be much more to it than 'sweet' in flavour.

She'd listen to the explanation of her other products. “Hmmm. That sounds rather useful for whenever healing magic isn't available.” She replied to the first bits, though she doubted it'd be too much of a competition otherwise.

“A soothing balm and bug repellent? I'd like to try those at some point. If you're wanting, we could even discuss investments in them at a future date.” Those were two products she was a lot more interested in.
