Emerald instructed her ships to move, dodging and flying around everything. She started screaming ‘Evade, Evade!” When the cannons came into view. She was lucky she had several star ships with her; those were fast enough to get out if it got to dangerous.

BackseatDrivers-RedAgressive.pngThe Shovk Cannons missed their target when Emerald's warship got out of the way. For now, this space battle seemed to be a tie. However, that would quickly change when one of Emerald's ships destroys one particular Shovk Cannon. Tallest Red doesn't seem particularly pleased by this. "Hey! That Shovk had Kenny in it! THEY KILLED KENNY! THOSE MONSTERS!!!" Tallest Red screamed in anger. "BLOW 'EM UP! Fire our huge laser... thingamajig at their warship! RIGHT NOW!" He ordered to the cannon operators, who quickly prepare the Bridge Cannon. Back outside the Massive, its cannon glows with activation as it charges up a powerful beam of energy to use to obliterate Emerald's fleet.

Emerald cheered when one of her ships destroyed one of the Irken. But her joy was quickly destroyed when the main bridge cannon was seen charging up. She shrieked, and started to order everyone around. “Evade! Fall back!” But she knew not every ship would get out in time. A good captain went down with her ship, if that’s what it came too.

Much to her luck, Emerald herself and most of her ships managed to fly out of the way of the Massive's Bridge Cannon. And just in time, too. The Bridge Cannon opens fire, firing a long beam of pink energy, obliterating all Gem ships that were unfortunate enough to not get out of the way in time. The beam also destroyed any unlucky Irken ships in its way. The beam stops at a nearby planet, where it immediately blows up once it struck it. All the while, Emerald got a full front view of the entire Irken flagship; true to its name, it is MASSIVE, about the size of a moon or a planet even. It's unlike any ship she had ever seen!

Emerald scrambled Over her words, blabbering on and on. “Retreat! Retreat! What is that thing?” She yelled as all of her remaining ships set a course to retreat. This was not a a battle they would win today. She blasted out at light speed, dreading the soon contact with her Diamond to inform her how badly they just failed.

Back at the Massive, an exasperated Tallest Red and a satisfied Tallest Purple stand there looking as the rest of the surviving Gem ships retreat. "Oh, alright, they dodged it, but that's a-okay! Fire another shot!" Tallest Purple ordered to the Irken officers. "But, my Tallest, they retreated away." One of the officers informs the Almighty Tallest. "Oh, they retreated... Oh, Oh, THEY RETREATED!!" Tallest Purple yells, causing Tallest Red to be further irritated. "Find their current location and crash on 'em!" The officers prepare to do just that; search for the Gem fleet's coordinates and ram onto them like a car crash. Eventually, though, having enough, Tallest Red throws Tallest Purple's hand down, which was pointing at the screen.

"No! Officers, belay that order!" Tallest Red ordered, which they quickly respond. "Hey, what was that for?! And why you say 'belay'?" Tallest Purple asked in confusion.

"Listen good, buddy. I know that we own one of the most BIGGEST flagships known to alienkind, but don't do that again!" Tallest Red berated angrily, pointing at him. "You could never know if that Diymond Authority could ever find any weaknesses aboard the Massive!"

"But you say that we own the biggest ship in the Universe!" Tallest Purple rebutes as he puts his finger down. "I mean if they couldn't make a dent in the destruction of an entire planet, then surely-"

Suddenly, he cut himself off when he noticed Tallest Red holding a lollipop and waving it in front of his face. "Oooooh..." He tried to grab it, but Tallest Red quickly lifts his hand, keeping Tallest Purple away from his lollipop. "Now, does Tallest Purple want a limited edition Shloogorgh lollipop?" Tallest Red asked, grinning. "Mhmm! Mhmm!!" "Promise not to do anything that involves the Diymond Authority until I give my say-so?" Tallest Red asked. Tallest Purple nods and Tallest Red finally gives him his lollipop... by shoving it to his mouth. "Weeeelp. Today was a long night." Tallest Red said, stretching his back. "What say we go to Foodcourtia and give this baby a refuel? We gotta be prepared for more Organic Sweeps if they ever come!"

Outside of the Massive, it begins to show two blinking yellow dots and make a truck beeping noise as it humorously back up to turn around.

Yellow Diamond yelled in frustration, her face contorting in anger. “What..... do you mean you failed the mission.” She snarled, and Emerald on the screen in front of her saluting. The Emerald gulped, and her eyes were in concern.

“My.... my diamond, it is my fault.” She said, stuttering between sentences. It wasn’t uncommon to be tense in front of two Diamonds, especially when she screwed up. Blue Diamond had a blank expression, but her tone quivered.

”We can see that. So tell me, Emerald. What do you think were going to do to you.” It was more of a hiss than anything. A snarl that had a threat underlying the tone. Every part of her was tense, but a different kind of tense. An angry tense.

Emerald’s eyes widened. It was very well known that when Blue Diamond asked that question, she was absolutely furious. “I-i....... um.... I don’t know, my Diamond. Please forgive me for my incompetence.” She muttered. Finally, Blue Diamond spoke again.

”Very well. Then you will be shattered.” She said calmly. Emerald sputtered for a moment, tripping over her words. “Goodbye, Emerald.” And the screen shut off. She sighed, and rubbed her forehead. ”What a hassle. And now we’ve lost that fleet....” She said before walking away. She seemed more exasperated than anything.

She walked away, and Yellow turned to her pearl. “Blue worry’s me recently. She’s acting more and more like......” Yellow Pearl shivered, and finished the sentence for her Diamond. “White.” Yellow Diamond nodded, before they returned to their duty’s. “Arrange a stronger fleet. Should we come across the Enemy, I trust this will not happen again.” Yellow Pearl, after exchanging a bow and an affirmative statement, walked away to take care of her orders.

The next day, back at Earth...

Membrane_Household_ETF.pngMorning comes in Beach City. At the Membrane household, Dib jumps out of the front door, wearing the same clothing while holding his Alien-Hunting Briefcase, which is blue in color and has a strange-looking insignia on it; it kinda looks like a swollen eyeball. "Bye, dad! I'm gonna go to Steven's house!" Dib shouts towards the house before running off to try and find the Human/Gem hybrid's household... or at least encounter him...

At the temple, Steven was eating a waffle supreme breakfast with strawberry’s and chocolate. Amethyst was eating and everything burrito (don’t ask) and Garnet was sitting on Stevens bed watching tv. When a knock sounded at their door, Garnet got up to see who was there. She opened the door, and saw the small child in front of her. “oh. Hello.” She said flatly. She was so tall that she blocked the door and any veiw inside or outside the house.

Dib stood back when he encountered Garnet, his eyes widen. "Oh! Uhh... Hello! I'd like to see Steven, please." Dib politely requested. "I'm his friend, Dib Membrane."

Garnet nodded. “Nice to meet you Dib.” Was all she said before disappearing and leaving the door open for him. She crawled back up into the loft where Stevens bed and the TV were, ready for some more shows.

“Dib!” Steven said loudly, his mouth full of waffle. He ran over and gave Dib a big hug, before gesturing to Garnet and Amethyst. “This is Garnet, and Amethyst. They’re also crystal gems. “

Dib makes a surprised groan as Steven hugged the paranormal investigator, causing his glasses to become misaligned and dropping his briefcase. Once Steven stops hugging him, Dib readjusts his glasses before looking at Garnet and Amethyst. "Nice to meet you all!" Dib said, waving at them before he grabbed his briefcase again.

Garnet only raised a hand in greeting, while Amethyst (who was still eating the burrito) made a noise like an animal dying. Steven laughed, and went back to his waffle.

“Once I’m done with my food, we can hang out! Connie has sword training today, so I’m sure you would like to see the cloud arena!”

Dib gives Amethyst a 'what the heck?' look when she made a noise akin to a dying animal before turning back to Steven. "Cloud arena?" Dib asked as he goes to sit at the couch.

Steven nodded, and swallowed before speaking. “Yeah! It’s literally an arena in the sky. You’ll like it!”

"Well, of course, I knew that! 'Cloud' is part of its name!" Dib responds as he placed the briefcase on his lap. "So, how long have these aliens lived here?" Dib whispered to Steven, as to try not and offend the Crystal Gems for calling them 'aliens'.

”Oh, a long time!” Steven said. “Over five thousand years! They’ve been alive even longer though.”

Dib's eyes widen at Steven's response. "Five. Thousand. Years?" Dib asked in shock before turning to Garnet and Amethyst. "You all been around for more than five thousand years?!"

“Whoa whoa whoa. I’m only four thousand.” Amethyst commented, basically correcting Steven. “How old are you, Garnet?” Garnet shrugged, and looked to Amethyst.

“Five thousand seven hundred and fifty. Pearls the oldest out of us all” She answered, before turning back to her show. “How old are Ruby and Sapphire?” Steven asked. Which was weird as you couldn’t see anyone else there.

“No idea.” Garnet said. Amethyst just laughed.

"That's still a lot, compared to a Human, like me," Dib responds to Amethyst's correction. When Steven mentioned Ruby and Sapphire, he looked to Steven. "Oh, there are two others?" Dib asked. "Where are they?"

Garnet didn’t answer, Amethyst pauses, and Steven just smiled. “No. There are no others.” He said. Suddenly, the door rattled with a knock. It was quiet, and Amethyst nor Steven seemed to hear it. They were to busy eating.

Dib gives Steven a suspicious look before he opened his briefcase, not taking into account that Steven can see the contents inside of it; the briefcase contains a laptop with a swollen eyeball insignia, headphones, a camera, an advanced-looking pair of handcuffs, and some notebooks that had little green men stickers. He grabbed the notebooks and closes the briefcase. "Hey, do you two mind if I ask a couple of questions? I'm a paranormal investigator and alien enthusiast!" Dib said to Garnet and Amethyst with a goofy grin.

“Sure! What do you wanna know?” Amethyst asked as Garnet came down as well. She sat on the couch, ready to answer any questions. The knock from the door grew louder until Connie burst in. Stevens eyes lit up, and he waved.

“Connie! Dib is here!”

“Oh, hi Dib! Hey Garnet, Pearl told me that she couldn’t train me today, so you would be doing it.” She said, excitement in her features, Steven yelped excitedly, and got up.

“Does that mean....” He trailed off, a smile on his face. Garnet nodded, a grin coming to her face. “Fusion training.”
