"Uhh... Okay. Nice to meet you, too." Dib responds to Steven, giving him a rather weird look. Meanwhile, Gaz continues to ignore Steven as she is still trying to focus on playing her game. When Connie introduced herself, Dib suddenly realizes something. "Wait a minute. I recognize that voice!" Dib exclaims, taking a moment to find where he'd heard that voice until he remembers. "... Maheswaran! Is that your last name, Connie??" Dib asks, believing that he might be encountering an old friend of his.

Steven looked a bit confused at first, but Connie looked like she was catching on. She nodded in affirmation, before taking a step closer. Steven looked back and forth from the two, but his grin faultered.

"We used to talk together on the internet! Y'know, sasquatch? Ghosts? Aliens?" Dib continues, furthering attempting to jog Connie's mind.

Steven lit up at the mention of aliens, to which Connie had realization written on her face.

"Omigosh, YOU know about aliens?" He seemed more excited than he should be, like he knew something. To which Connie promptly slapped a hand over his mouth. He didn’t know about the Crystal Gems, and Connie wasn’t sure how Dib would react to that. “Ohhhh DIB! How- I mean, why are you in beach city??” She seemed kinda nervous.

"Well, dad thought it'd be nice to change our lifestyle of being suburban kids and decided to move to a more open city... which landed us here," Dib explains to Connie before pointing to Gaz. "Besides, dad thought we could use the extra sunlight." Gaz glared at Dib in response before returning to her game

Connie nodded in affirmation, and smiled.
“That’s.... that’s great! Wow Dib, that’s fun. And I’m assuming Gaz is your sister?” She said curiously. Steven then licked Connie’s hand, to which she gave him a look and wiped it on his shirt.

Dib snickers when Connie wipes her hand, which was covered in saliva, on Steven's shirt. "Yup! Gaz is my sister. Say hi, Gaz!" Dib said to the duo before standing back to give them a full view of his sister. Gaz really didn't say anything, other than to pause her game, raised her head, nods to the duo, and resumes her game.

"Hi! I like your hair.” Steven said excitedly, before looking to Connie. "Can they come with us?” He asked, even more excitedly. She rolled her eyes, and nodded.

“Well, yeah. If they want to. Not sure why you’re asking me.” She laughed a bit at the last part.

"Thanks." Gaz simply responds as she continues to play her game, seemingly on a boss level. "We'll tag along with you. Dad did want us to explore the neighborhood because, y'know, we're new." Dib said as he pulls out the Beach City map

Steven gasped excitedly. "Oh, a map!” He said happily, before he grabbed it and threw it over his shoulder. "Let’s go! Where to first? The arcade, the amusement park-“

“We’re banned from the amusement park.”

"Right. Pizza then? Or the beach?”

"Banned?" Dib asked in shocked. What the heck did they do that caused them to get banned from the amusement park? Meanwhile, Gaz's eyes open wide and looked at Steven. "Pizza?" Gaz asked. The very mention of it reminds her of her favorite pizza place, Bloaty's Pizza Hog, though she doubted there really was such an establishment here.

Steven laughed, and started running down the street in the direction of the pizza place. Connie just shook her head, and started to follow.

“"Pizza it is!" She said, smiling at Gaz and Dib.

Both Dib and Gaz smiled back at each other before they both start to follow Steven and Connie, with Gaz putting away her Game Slave and Dib grabbing the map that Steven grabbed and threw to the ground. "Hey! Wait up!" Dib yelled as he rushes towards the duo.

Steven and Connie were just laughing and ran to the board walk of Beach City, past the arcade, and straight to a pizza joint. It didn't really look like a pizza joint, as it had a fish on the front sign, and the title read 'fish stew pizza', but whatever.

Dib and Gaz were a little exhausted when they got to the pizza joint, though Gaz's exhaustion was less visible. "Fish Stew... Pizza?" Dib reads out in a confused tone. "What kind of pizza joint calls it that?" Dib asked in a more confused tone. "So long it sells good pizza." Gaz responds as she prepares to enter the pizzeria.

Connie smiled, and looked to Gaz and Dib. She then opened the door for them, and was about to speak when Kiki, the cashier, spoke up.

"Steven! Whats up, man! You ready for you pizza's?" She asked kindly, handing over two boxes.

"Yes! Kiki, you're the best." Steven replied, before setting the boxes down on the table.

"Luckyyyy." Dib said to Steven while Gaz approaches KiKi. "I'm here to order a pepperoni pizza, please." Gaz kindly asked to KiKi as she pulls out a black wallet.

Kiki and Steven laughed, before the girl explained. Steven went to go sit down with Connie, and two chairs were open for Gaz and Dib.

"Steven pre-pays for his Pizzas. No way he's getting free pizzas. That kid already gets into enough trouble." She said smiling. "That'll be $10.85, girly. Cool hair."

Kiki smiled, and went to the back to make the pizza. "Thanks kid!" Some rummaging around was heard, but it would take her a minute to make the pizza.

Gaz nods and decides to wait near the counter to wait for her pizza, where she whips out her Game Slave to play on. Meanwhile, Dib sits down with Steven and Connie on the table. "So, how's beach life, Connie?" Dib asked, trying to initiate a conversation with his old friend.

Connie chewed and swallowed the slice of cheese pizza in her mouth before responding.

"Pretty good, actually! Stevens my only friend here- besides you two, now -but that’s ok because his.... caretakers? Whatever, they’re awesome!” She said, as Steven nodded furiously, his mouth stuffed with pizza.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that!" Dib exclaims, happy that his old friend is doing well. He then turns his attention to Steven. "Hey, Steven? What kind of stuff you're interested in?" Dib asked.

"Oh, me and my family fight corrupted gems and save the earth." He said, very casualy, as if it didn't matter. "My mom was an alien,-"

"ENTHUSIST! His mother was an alien enthusiast. Isn't that cool?" Connie butted in, looking very nervous. She wasn't sure how Dib would react to the fact that there were actual aliens here.

Dib almost looked confused when Steven said something about 'corrupted gems' and 'save the Earth', but what did catch Dib's attention was Steven saying that his mother was an alien. Even though Connie said that his mother was only an alien enthusiast, he still had his suspicions. "Uh-huh... right." Dib only said, giving both Connie and Steven a suspicious look. After a brief moment of silence, something came to Dib's mind. "That reminds me..." Dib then pulls out some sort of high-tech cellular device. "A couple of months ago, I was up at the roof, trying to find alien signals, and I actually managed to find something!" Dib said to Steven and Connie, staring at his phone in a concerned way. "Hey, how's that pizza coming along?" Gaz asked Kiki as she continues to play her game.
