The Crystal Gems no long make up Garnet, Amythest, and Pearl, but rather a set of new gems.
You could either be a gem from the homeworld, or a Crystal Gem. It is your choice!
The Crystal Gems have to protect earth from the gems from Gem Homeworld, however.
How it plays out is up to you.
