  Personality

  Nikias takes everything seriously.
  
  He’s taciturn, one to put as much effort into a simple group assignment as he would into his personal passion projects, and, perhaps, a bit of a nag. Maybe too much of a nag; he won’t let even his friends off if he sees them lagging in their duties, their reasons notwithstanding.
  
  In such circumstances, he can be callous, too single-minded in his drive to push others to his perceived height of greatness. In his own thoughts: if sanity must be sacrificed to reach one’s full potential, then sanity be damned!
  
  However, don’t take this to mean that he’s above it all. Because he really isn’t. Any casual implication of challenge is treated with all seriousness. He treats these competitions as measurements of his skills and worth. Losing time to time is only natural, though; thankfully, Nikias is a graceful loser. While he won’t be crying about it in his bed, he’ll leave, instead, with a renewed desire to better himself and come at them again. For as many times as necessary.
  
  While it, by no means, excuses his actions, Nikias isn’t trying to hurt anyone. Not intentionally. He pours his all into those he cares for, but his form of affection is simply a little… twisted. Hopefully, he can learn in his time at the Paideia.

  BEFORE NIKIAS SPYRIDON

  His adoption into the Spyridon family was no mere accident.
  
  The young boy had long heard many whispers through the slums, whispers that roused every settlement within miles of Vissarion. "'Clever' children," said his aunt one night, "to raise into bigshots. Pfeh." She handed him his meal, a few chops of fried eggplants with a slice of week-old bread. "Don't get them bright ideas in that head of yours. You’ll just embarrass yourself."
  
  Shows what she knew, because that bright idea was already in motion.
  
  Any moment outside of his usual labour was spent with the local clerk, a kindly woman who sought to impart the essentials unto the children. To read, to write, to count; he soaked it all up in anticipation for the Anax’ arrival. He was going to make sure he was one of the children picked, even if he had to fight off every other kid in that line-up.
  
  Yet, when the day came, his chance out of the slums was snuffed.
  
  His aunt forced him back into the house, locking him in before the procession could arrive. For your own good, she said. He could do little but watch through the chinks in the foundation, of the Anax scrutinizing each child before her. Asking them questions that should have been asked of him.
  
  By the time he escaped, the Anax was gone. Everyone had congregated in the town square, disappointed faces all around. None, however, could match him. His aunt tried to placate him, assuring him of their place, but him? He would have none of it.
  
  A few weeks after, he was gone from the house, a (crudely-written) note left in his place.

  FIRST ARRIVAL TO VISSARION

  Would you believe it if a kid told you he’d travelled all the way from his small-town, through perilous sands and terrible foes, alone?
  
  You shouldn’t, because that kid in question had a lot of help on his journey. Bandits, merchants, sabretooths, you name it. They all played a part in his eventual arrival into the verdant city-state of Vissarion.
  
  Naturally, his first order of business was to find the Anax. A job that’s thankfully easier done than said. The guards stopped him at the gates, but after impersonating an errand boy, he was in. He faced quite a few dead ends and suspicious maids, but fate would soon bring him before the Anax.
  
  There she sat in all her viridescent glory. One that the young boy wanted to emulate.
  
  He told her of his adventures—of his , of his short term as a would-be bandit, of the people he’d met—and of his validity as a candidate.
  
  She…
  
  Said no. Told him to get back home before his parents call. To stop inventing such tall tales.
  
  But did he give up? Of course not. He was having none of it.
  
  It soon became a war of attrition. One that he’d eventually win with a new name.
  
  

  AS NIKIAS SPYRIDON

  Nikias wasn't the only orphan under the Spyridon name. He had a plethora of brothers and sisters, many of them younger than he was with more talent than he had bones in his body.
  
  Still, he wasn’t without his merits.
  
  He’s achieved much in the past ten years since his adoption. He built the Crystal Garden, befriended the other children from the Anax, and has become synonymously known as the heir to Vissarion. Official announcement be damned.
  
  Life is, quite honestly, great for him. If this were a fairytale, the only thing missing in his life would probably be a princess to complete his tale. But it isn’t, and he’s got more important plans in mind, romance being the least of it.

  GRACE COMPATIBILITY

  Considering how gung-ho he tends to be in his endeavours, an argument could be made that he’d be a great fit for the Pyro nymphs. While that may be true, it’s not a perfect fit. His reasons have less to do with overall passion for a subject; instead, they’re motivated by the love he has for those he cares about. The only reason he can push himself is because he has a reason to push himself. Of all the elements, Cryo is the most compatible, exceeding far beyond Pyro and Hydro itself.
  
  When it comes to the least, it would have to be Anemo. They prefer those who are curious. That’s something he can’t relate to, believing knowledge should be learned only for a greater purpose. That, and they’re far too flighty to favour him.

  Alfen is undeniably cute. He has a soft face and a sweet demeanor. He brightens up rooms with his soft smiles. His fingers are long and deft from his swordsmanship and his body has a slight bulk to his thinness, he couldn't be called muscular but there is no doubt he's incredibly strong. He is graceful in an aristocratic way that catches the eye. He has an air of calm about him despite his soft child-like demeanor. Alfen's hair was a sure surprise when he was born as both his parents had dark hair, it made him stand out from those around him, Malum knew him by his bright mop of hair, which made it quite impossible not to be recognized. As he aged scars began to dot his skin, from sword training and just how he lived in general.

  Personality

  Alf is a kind person, sweet, lovable, and affectionate to the point it seems odd. He cares for even those who scorn him. . . There must be some motive behind it? He seems to lack substance in his personality, sugary sweet without a hint of bitterness, mind the rare moments you see a look of melancholy on his face. Alfen doesn't seem to change. Those who have known him all his life have always seen him the same, a great loving force, that appreciates even the simplest things in life, never one to take things for granted.
  
  He is smart about his choices and a slight bit mischievous pulling the occasional prank or two, never one to be blunt it's sometimes hard to tell what he's truly thinking. Always making preparations for a future he idealizes, never showing his hand except when it's for his benefit. Alf keeps his and his trusted people's secrets as if he had no tongue to speak them, his loyalty is matched by no other and his charm brings his enemies to their knees, rather than by his sword.

  Alfen grew us as the next Anax to the city of Malum, He was raised with purpose and dignity with a proud pair of parents behind him. His parents were loving but tough, looking at him as a successor more than a child. He persevered non the less, seemingly grateful for his harsh parents. He often felt slightly jealous of his siblings who never got the same treatment. There were 5 of them in total, each much younger than him. They worshiped Alfen, being the ideal big brother he is and Alf reciprocated that love in full, their bond deep and heavy. They cried when he went off to college. Alfen took on many jobs before going to college and has been assisting the people I'm Malum with all his might, giving him the moniker of "Malum's Shinning Sword" a title he holds with great pride and honor.

Originally was born in Aniketos her father was a ruthless and cold knight feared high within Aniketos. He was known as "The Demon Knight of Aniketos" and it was seen as one of the greatest losses at the time when he defected from Aniketos. He did as he was suffering from poverty and didn't see a way to afford raising a child if he ended up staying so he ended up defecting from Aniketos.

She would grow up being rejected by many due to her father. Despite everything she genuinely did her best to get along and be nice to everyone however any accomplishment she achieved would never garner any sort of reaction from her father. She would grow more hateful and would get into trouble more as a teenager however even that didn't seem to garner a reaction from her father.

    Irona's pale blue eyes and violet hair contrast heavily with the white outfit she almost always wears. Even in game she only seemed to wear something different during certain game events, such as wearing a halloween costume or a swimsuit, but afterwards it was right back to the usual state of affairs, despite this outfit visibly consisting of clothes for a very cold climate, even if slightly decorated with a set of blue ribbons along the sleeves, a yellow sweater underneath, and a set of blue animal ears that moves with anemo magic as a joke. If not for that blue though, she might very well disappear in the snow as her skin is likewise very pale. However, perhaps one of the most notable aspects of her appearance is how young it looks, as she could easily be taken to be around 10 years old if one went by looks alone... and the occasional behavior and sweettooth.

    In the game, Irona was portrayed as a whimsical and shady character, with little outright known, revealed or explained about her. She was portrayed as an unscrupulous merchant just as happy to sell a weapon to the villainess as she would be to sell flowers for the heroine to woo someone. She sure had fun and made fun of things, but money spoke to her like a siren's call, and she certainly had ears that seemed to pick up on some of the deepest secrets. For the most part, the portrayal isn't inaccurate, though it's only touching the surface. She is indeed both quite cunning and very opportunistic, and tends to take as neutral a stand as possible in most issues, selling what people need those willing to pay a fair or undue price. She can certainly be quite attentive and mysterious, as she deals both with the simple, open side of the market, and those markets in the underground to obtain certain 'special' goods, and using her intelligence network of contacts, spies and the like to even gather and trade in rumors and other information. She views every moment with other people around and every conversation as a negotiation, even if there is no apparent trade, which leads her to be far more guarded than you'd expect from her energetic and cheerful way of speaking. In fact, she is rather playful and loves to do things like prank or tease people for a laugh, and wouldn't hesitate to badmouth a prince to lighten the mood, provided of course that potential client wasn't standing right behind her. Nonetheless, she continues to always observe people and try to find how to best appeal to them, but should any ask her about personal things, she naturally transitions into claiming a random obviously and ludicrous tale about her past or whatever the question may have been about.
    
    All that said, there's more to her than this. She is a shrewd strategical, calculated merchant for sure, but she is also someone who very much values hard work, because of the pick-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps philosophy her father passed down onto her. She makes a point of compensating people who do her favor and is quite hardworking herself. Adding to that, she is a very honest person who would never break a promise or go back on a deal if the other side has done their part and she wasn't forced into said deal. Even when making up stories about her past instead of actually answering the questions about herself, she strives not to be deceitful by making those stories so obviously false they couldn't be believed. The money earned from the trust and success her merchant ways bring her is something she cherishes and wouldn't easily spend on luxuries. Sure, she is quite willing to spend a large sum for things she finds truly important to her, but her life behind the scenes is generally actually quite frugal and it wouldn't be wrong to say she can be quite the cheapskate.
    
    Another aspect of her personality which helps support her choice to become a merchant is the fact that she has a very pragmatic approach. She doesn't tend to view things from the standpoint of "should" or "I wish it would" work, but rather "does it or doesn't it work". In general terms, she's quick to discard notions that simply don't seem to give her results, and always open to acknowledge new possibilities and ideas, outside of those values that are most deeply tied to her identity. She is not someone who would hesitate to make use of anything at her disposal should she deem that the benefits simply outweigh the costs, nor would she be too prideful to admit she can't do something and could use help (even if she would insist on hiring said help over asking for it any day). After all, through that pragmatic lens she understands that she has many shortcomings, and that she is but an individual and a small one at that (not just in terms of height either). Surprisingly, Cryo nymphs are not actually the ones most incompatible with her, but rather Electro are, as Irona is nothing if not quite flexible outside of a few key things.     It all started with a single, simple business, as Irona was finally prepared to venture out on her own. She would travel from place to place, using her guardian’s connections to get information on the regional needs. As she accrued money to expand her trade, she first tried hiring people from where she came from, but only managed to get a few people before she would start to either dent into their work or trying to pull people who were too attached to leave. Still, those people were loyal in reverence to her parents still, and would work themselves to the bone without even having to be asked to do it. She then began turning her eyes to expanding her information network, as her guardian’s contacts were plenty but not all would be willing to work with them or be nearly quiet enough about it.
    
    If you want someone to do something for you, you get them to want to do it. So what she needed to do was find the people who would really want to do it. People who wouldn’t simply be her informants, but be grateful for the opportunity (probably because of the side benefits). With the funds from her business, she began occasionally making making acts of philanthropy, financing and helping to keep a dying family business alive, rescuing people, and it eventually came down to taking in some orphans and offering them work and a bit of education. Most of these things were taken care of by people Irona hired of course, since a child wouldn’t have been credible enough, and she only revealed that she was behind the action once the results had been achieved. It wasn’t as though they always asked for one to become another node in their network though, but instead an evaluation of whether they were a good person to make that proposal to was made, and if they were deemed to not be capable, trustworthy or thankful enough, they would instead be asked for some future payment or favor instead.

    Even as her business continued to increase, and Irona began opening stores to be run by people she or her information network scouted, she continued to have a presence in the underground. Trading in information, smuggled goods, avoiding only things which would compromise her integrity as a merchant such as counterfeits, predatory lending or extortionary action. Combined with a degree of fame for her business at least, her underground connections also helped her create more above ground ones. She wasn’t meeting kings or the like, but she was pretty close, and of course she was willing to do lavish boasting sales and more “subtle work” alike.

    By age 16, she now owned several stores all over the map, had frequent hired groups who could search around for magical artifacts or other items or resources found out there to collect, and a truly extensive network of information which expanded itself as old recruits enlisted/hired and if necessary trained new ones. Although her personal reputation didn’t make a big presence, the businesses under her had more weight to throw around, and even underground she was not only viewed as an asset, but a force to be reckoned with (in part due to certain people “disappearing” after they tried double crossing her).

    Alfen Lumiel - In game, the two of them are known to have some kind of relationship, though the exact nature of it isn't absolutely clear. It is speculated, however, that it has to do with a certain secret hobby that Alfen has, and that perhaps he is getting the supplies to engage in it from Irona.
    
    Nikias Spyridon - Something happened between the two of them in the past, but this boy's mysterious record is one of those few things that escaped Irona's information network. She hasn't realized, but he holds some kind of admiration for her, however the lack of information combined with his demeanor makes his acts of kindness or generosity come off as suspicious to her, to the point where she believes he is an investigator of some kind trying to catch her in some illegal act to put her behind bars.
    
    Shoya Miyuki - An acquaitance for whom she holds a level of respect, but isn't afraid to pull the strings of. Little is known about their connection, though it is known in the game that they do have some kind of connection, and it is a connection such that Irona is aware of his alter ego's secret identity.
    
    Fukuro Wantoko - An errand boy of sorts, with a seeming knack for both speedy running, comical yet somehow effective disguises and disappearing. If for some reason Irona can't personally come, he is usually the one making the deliveries for her. He follows her like a puppy, having enrolled in the academy as well.     Relationships​
    Alfen Lumiel - In game, the two of them are known to have some kind of relationship, though the exact nature of it isn't absolutely clear. It is speculated, however, that it has to do with a certain secret hobby that Alfen has, and that perhaps he is getting the supplies to engage in it from Irona.
    
    Nikias Spyridon - Something happened between the two of them in the past, but this boy's mysterious record is one of those few things that escaped Irona's information network. She hasn't realized, but he holds some kind of admiration for her, however the lack of information combined with his demeanor makes his acts of kindness or generosity come off as suspicious to her, to the point where she believes he is an investigator of some kind trying to catch her in some illegal act to put her behind bars.
    
    Shoya Miyuki - An acquaitance for whom she holds a level of respect, but isn't afraid to pull the strings of. Little is known about their connection, though it is known in the game that they do have some kind of connection, and it is a connection such that Irona is aware of his alter ego's secret identity.
    
    Fukuro Wantoko - An errand boy of sorts, with a seeming knack for both speedy running, comical yet somehow effective disguises and disappearing. If for some reason Irona can't personally come, he is usually the one making the deliveries for her. He follows her like a puppy, having enrolled in the academy as well. In the game, he creates a mail delivery club that is often used to exchange letters and packages between students, or helping to keep them in touch with their families.

  Hailing from a small-town village, Phi grew up in relatively poor conditions, until she came upon an exotic traveller. They showed her countless sketches and paintings, bringing with them dreams of faraway lands.
  
  The pilgrim left after that, surely pursuing some other enlightening matter. Phi, meanwhile, could still recall the almost ethereal beauty of those pictures, so removed from the muddy banks of her neighbourhood. Nights of restless sleep passed, before she gained a newfound resolve.
  
  Sneaking under the cover of night, she set up the leftover supplies from the stranger at Amaryllis. Her thoughts drifted to their delicate and ephemeral works, before she picked up the brush and began to paint.
  
  The cities. The castles. The skies. Even the World Tree. She never stopped, each stroke thoughtless in their fervour.

  Current Self's Backstory:
  Adelaine Hali Onda was born and raised her whole life as Malum's Saintess. Her noble parents, named by the church and told that their daughter was blessed to be beholding such a position, gave her away to their hands. It is within cathedral walls and the strict rulings of the Church of the Weeping Eye that defined her entire childhood.
  
  What few people knew, however, was that this affair with the Adelaine's noble parents and her taking was all conducted by a singular person within the church: Cardinal Cyrus. Power-hungry despite his already prosperous position, Cyrus was known for being different from the rest of the church solely because of his underlying, self-serving attitude. But that's all it really was—few expected that his ambition would turn to action.
  
  The way the Saintess is chosen is via a selection process of sorts. Different daughters from different families would be nominated by their family and a prestigious member of the Church. They would then be sent to the cathedral where they would learn the etiquette and responsibilities as Saintess; the one who shows most promise is chosen to be the successor. Normally, the chosen girl would go on to be their own, independent influence in Malum.
  
  Whereas the girls would be nominated as early as 16 years old, Adelaine spent her whole life seeing Cardinal Cyrus as a father figure, gradually slipping in bits of knowledge and implanting the idea in her mind that she would become Malum's Saintess. A discrete manipulation that did not employ any form of strictness or harshness for the way he raised her. And, if she became Saintess, there was little doubt to Cyrus that she would turn to him for every move; she'd be under his thumb, putting him at a clandestine, high position of power.
  
  It was in this initial schooling process that Adelaine got to know the two other nominees: Edelmira Ise and Miridin Yanetta. They arrived at the cathedral fully prepared to battle each other in wits and manners, vying to achieve the status of Saintess! What awaited them, instead, was the bubbly Adria. Her sole presence was enough to melt any of the tension in the room; it wasn't long before the three became friends at Adelaine's persistence.
  
  And, after four years of the educating process, it became clear just who of the three had more potential. Surprisingly headstrong and passionate, Adelaine—with some backing from Cardinal Cyrus—won out. They were one step closer to achieving their goals, and now came the next part of the process.
  
  In order to ensure Adelaine's selection and further refine herself, the Saintess-to-be is sent to the Paideia de Amaryllia. This is where the visual novel begins. Before Adria is the college full of unknown relationships, drama, and unknown romance...
  
  Past Self's Backstory:
  But instead of heart-pounding anticipation, he only felt horror, because Adria used to be a high school boy in Japan!
  
  Kondo, Seiji knew of this game. His sister played and gushed it about every week, and he always shrugged it off. Now he was really wishing he had paid attention, as he only knows the names of the major characters!
  
  An adolescent boy stuck in a girl's body, falling along a path of palpable romance between the male leads!

… Personality: Lavi is kind of a slacker. It's not that he can't do it, rather things come so simple for him that doing it doesn't challenge him. Due to the heavy focus on religion in his upbringing paired with his slacker aspects has caused Lavi to have a devil may care take on life. "If it is meant to be then it will be. No need to rush." Like a leaf in the wind he goes wherever life takes him.


At least that's the mask he presents to the world. A carefree slacker that just goes with the flow.


Under this facade Lavi is afraid. He fears he can't live up to the expectations that come from his abilities. He fears that he'll let everyone down. He fears that he'll be all alone. The facade exists as a way of preparing himself and those who know him for the moment he disappoints.

PHYSICALITY

Appearance: 5'11, though he lies and says hes 6ft. He has a tan skin, white hair that is somewhat long (about the same as the character in my pfp), and droopy blue eyes (as in, it seems like he never sleeps). Despite his rough upbringing, he actually has really soft skin for whatever reason. In terms of muscle, he has some, but he's not jacked in any way. Though, he has a burn mark in the center of his back. He likes wearing tight but soft clothes, most of which have hoods. He wears a chain with a small sapphire in the shape of a crescent moon around his neck, though he always keeps it in his clothes to avoid it getting stolen.

PSYCHE

Personality: Angsty, edgy, sadness. He's kind quiet until he considers you a friend, and can be both tonedeaf and unintentionally goofy. Blames himself for everything, which only feeds his angst and self esteem issues more (self hatred). He doesn't have much regard for others, so he is occasionally very blunt.
The Moonlight Mask
His alter ego. He wears a mask whenever he sneaks out and hangs around the roofs or places, staring at the moon and doing miscellaneous things all night. When he wears the mask, he becomes more.... bold, and his edgelordness goes into overdrive, even being able to lower his fear of thunder by a bit, leading to him wearing the mask on rainy nights in his room for comfort.
Goals in life/college: He has absolutely no clue, but money sounds nice. At the moment, he's just doing whatever seems like the next step and rolling with it a "lone wanderer" if you will.

Current Self's Backstory: Shoya's family was assassinated by a powerful oligarch in his homeland of Aniketos, after a disagreement the father had. However, he does not know this, and to him, he had simply came home and found the horrific scene of his parents and younger sister. After that, he was taken in by his neighbors, but kicked out in less than a year due to death threats made to the family that he was unaware of. This is where his obsession with the moon began. On his nights in the streets, he would climb up whatever tall and stable structure he could find, this kept him out of plain sight, to not be disturbed by thieves or corrupt soldiers looking for someone to beat. He found comfort under the beautiful moonlight, like a guardian angel. He almost praised the moon as his god, until one night. Rain was rather rare in Aniketos (it's mostly desert), so one cloudy night, he couldn't see the moon. Thinking that perhaps he wasn't high enough, he would keep climbing increasingly tall structures until ZAP he was struck by lightning, giving him a scar on his back. That night he almost passed, and it made him realize the moon was just that, the moon. He would spend the rest of his life up until the present making a living stealing at night while attending school during the day.

Significant Relationships: He was always a loner. Though, there was a girl who he had a crush on when he was younger, he never spoke to her about it. He didn't deserve it. Though, he still can't get over it and is just another regret in his life
Potential Arcs: Maybe when he becomes more empathetic his "Moonlight Mask" alter ego can become a vigilante and much less edgy. Also an arc over time to accept himself and learn to care for himself.

  Personality

  Often compared to a cat, Valerius is slow to trust and quick to bristle at strangers. While he can be surprisingly sociable, willing to engage in casual conversation or keep others company, he still remains guarded and aloof. It's clear he prefers to keep others at arm's length, and he can turn decidedly frigid towards those who try to close that distance.
  
  Assuming anyone actually tries, that is. His near total lack of expression can be a source of discomfort for many. He'll say the harshest things with the same monotone voice, while the most emotion he ever shows is mild amusement or contempt. It can be very difficult to get a read on him, and that is by design.
  
  A cynic, his experiences in Aniketos have made him hesitant to share anything that could be used against him. As a result, he struggles to tell others what he actually thinks or feels, believing it's better to just keep things to himself. It'd take a great effort to get past his guard and gain his trust, let alone his friendship. However, those that succeed may find there's warmth beneath the ice.
  
  Although he won't hold back his tongue for anyone, barring their emotional health, he'll at least look out for his companions' wellbeing. Even to his own detriment. Once a bright, starry-eyed boy full of admiration for his parents, years of witnessing their impotence before the true rulers of the city have left him thoroughly disillusioned. As much as he wanted to blame the city's decline on the current Anax's ineptitude, he knew he'd fare no better once he inherited the position himself.
  
  No amount of skill with the blade, no length of time spent poring over old books would ever improve the livelihoods of his people or change the status quo. Regardless of his efforts, he'd just end up as another puppet for the oligarchs. So why bother?
  
  But Valerius was nothing if not stubborn. To stand idly by as mere criminals ran his home to the ground wasn't something he could do, even if any action on his part proved futile. He'd retake Aniketos from its usurpers or die trying.
