Futuristic STARGATE OOC

This is the OOC chat for the STARGATE RP.

Ground Rules:

• This OOC is not just for the RP. If you've got any like really good cat videos I'd love to see them.
• If you plan on a character interaction that is back-and-forth like a quick dialogue, I recommend discussing them here so they can be put together in one or two posts.
• If you're not as much a fan of pre-planning, it's acceptable to keep your posts in the IC short.

Before we begin playing, I'd like you guys to ask any questions you have and discuss your plan of action for the current mission, and I'll also supply you with any information you may need.

Your current mission is twofold:
Track down the Visitor: Last night, the visitor came through the gate and using some sort of energy weapon incapacitated an officer on duty. The officer has no injuries excluding bruising from falling over and a second-degree burn from the area he was shot, and has been put on temporary leave. The Visitor is roughly five foot tall with short black hair, appearing to be of Southeast Asian descent, wearing golden armor. The nearby towns of Arbovae to the North, Dunmore to the South, and Green Bank to the East are his most likely whereabouts, as checkpoints have been set up on the surrounding areas and it is unlikely that he has any sort of vehicle nor the ability to ford the Greenbrier river to the East.

Assess the Device:
Acquire any information on the function and the danger of the Gate and ensure it is not a future threat.

You will not have access to radio communications, cell phones, or weapons besides sidearms. This is strictly a plain-clothes mission, and the location in the Radio Quiet Zone will make wireless communication impossible. You are allowed to do whatever internet research you wish here at base before you leave.

All information regarding the device is strictly classified.

Also, what are your thoughts on expanding to a hosted group and your preferred pacing for the game? We can have this be one continuing story or we could divide this into individual missions of differing length where we could switch out players based on business.

I'm also open to (if this becomes a hosted project) having additional connected or non-connected storylines lead by other GMs if you're interested. I honestly didn't expect to get more than two people interested.

I have zero idea about my character and I am also still quite ill, so I was selfishly waiting for others to post theirs and place myself in the niché of what was most needed after.
(Also, I am recuperating from the death of ALL 4 group RPs I had here, which happened simultaneously last week and left me seriously demotivated.)

Also for those of you already accepted I am willing to start with as few as two or three people if necessary/wanted.
