Sorry for being slow! Sister got sick yesterday and I had to do all the cooking and cleaning for Thanksgiving unexpectedly, then my other sister came down to visit today and stayed longer then planned,
Good on you for stepping up and taking care of your family! =)

celestialbody celestialbody just to let you know, after you’ve had a chance to see your character in action, I’ll let you make any small edits to your swarm and armor if things don’t work as well as you would have liked.

The Collectors and the Assault Slayer are all damaged and are blasting each other to pieces, showing that the Slayer is NEXUS controlled while the Collectors are all a part of Legions' army. They are about one hundred feet away from you and they are directly in your path. If it weren't for the Kamikaze Worm draped over Toni's shoulder, you might be able to just slip past them in the chaos and not be noticed, but there is no way across without being seen.

Sherwood? How is Cerberus doing on time? If this fight doesn't look like it'll last more than five minutes and we can slip back and hide for that long, I recommend we do just that. I feel once Legion or The Machine spots Cerberus, either can probably flit that information to nearby units alerting the entire force to Cerberus's presence.

You are currently close to the building that Archos has been guiding you towards, and in normal conditions you could easily get there in a few minutes. Right now, though, that is a bit chancy. You have about an hour to get into position, and are making good time for that.

So we could reasonably spare, say, 5 minutes or less to see how this battle plays out? I mean... that's 20 Rounds - an eternity in Combat Time (or so I'm thinking).

I definitely don't want to give these machines a reason to stop shooting each other and focus on us. I think that waiting will do us some good.

Okay I've been looking over the material to try and understand the setting and I think I need to just roll up my sleeves and jump into this! We can start getting the rolls down so I can make the character, but I do have some questions about setting. I read through the stuff in the lore tab and saw the information on the Area of Influence, great houses and all that jazz and I was wondering if were supposed to be from one of any of those houses or if were all supposed to be from one specific house? Sorry if this is supposed to be obvious but as you know I've never played this before so bear with me 😅. I'll probably have more questions as I go through creating my character but I'm just gonna take this one step at a time so I don't get overwhelmed lol.

No worries! I’ll be taking my lunch break a couple of hours and then I’ll be available to answer some questions.

Ok, let’s get busy.

First, it will be easier to have you as a member of the same house as the others so you will be the same chain of command.

Next we need some numbers for you. Did you still want me to roll for you? Or are you wanting to risk the dice bot here? Either way is good for me.

When picking skills, I’ve given everyone the package of Basic Military for free, so you get to pick another one to add to your character above and beyond the ones listed. It can be any package you’d like. Another thing to keep in mind is that I do my additional skills per level a little different than the book. I give one skill level you go up instead of one every few levels that the book says.

I forgot to add that there is a hard rule here of no evil alignments in the game.
Yeah, I read the no evil alignment rule somewhere so it's fine. And yes please I would appreciate you rolling for me! I'm leaving the house for a bit but when I come back I'll let you know which package I'd like to go along with the basic military package one.

I think I'd like to take Nomad (With the sewing instead of leatherworking) and it says Infantryman or Manhunter on the swarm lord lore tab so if I'm supposed to choose then I think I'd like to go with Infantryman. (Sorry for the late response that took way longer then I was told it would!)

It’s ok. I’m finishing up some dinner, then I’ll make some rolls for you and give you your numbers. Looking forward to seeing you in the game.

Here go some numbers. First, your eight Attributes. You can put them in any place you like.

21 - 24 - 12 - 17 - 25 - 9 - 18 - 26
You'll want to have your ME and PE scores rather high for the Bio-E you will get from that. Next important attribute is your PP. You will also get a lot of bonuses to your Physical attributes through your skills, so your totals will go up depending on which skills you get.

From the Swarm Lord OCC, you get a +1 to IQ, +4 to ME, and +5 to PS

Bio-E points come next. First, your armor.
Level 1: 20 points from Lithovore armor, + ME + PE + 30
Level 2: 6
Level 3: 2
Level 4: 5
Level 5: 4
Bonus: 40
Total: 107 + your ME and PE stat total.

Everyone got the bio-upgrade of Chameleon Skin (pg 83) for free, so you get that one, too. You are able to purchase any bio-upgrade except for any ranged attack weapons. You can get hand-held ranged weapons, but none can be built into the armor. I would suggest that you get the Bone Blades (pg 96) on both arms for 10 points per arm, then upgrade that to the Mantis Blades for another 10 bio-e per arm. That will give you one hell of a tough melee attack that is well worth the cost. You can then get a hand-held ranged weapon to supplement your swarm attacks and you'll do well.

Bio-E for your Swarm Insects.
Level 1: 170
Level 2: 30
Level 3: 30
Level 4: 40
Level 5: 30
Total: 300

Next I'll post your Host Armor base MDC.

In the top of the Character Thread there is a list of four advanced Martial Art styles that can be purchased. You start out with Hand to Hand: Basic from the Basic Military skill package. If you pick the Infantryman package, your HtH skill gets upgraded to Expert. You still have one Skill Package to pick, and some of those give additional HtH upgrades. However, if you pick a Package that doesn't increase your HtH beyond Expert, you have three Elective and four Secondary Skills that can go to increasing your HtH skill. If you stick to Expert, that is a solid combat skill. But, I would suggest that you go ahead and spend the extra two skills to upgrade to one of the four listed Martial Art styles. My personal favorite of the four is Jeet Kune Do. It gives some good bonuses to your stats starting out and levels up nicely.

Here is your Host Armor's MDC before any upgrades.

MDC of Armor:
Arms: 120
Hands: 60
Legs: 170
Feet: 80
Main Body: 268
Hive: 155
