The witty remake to insinuate that Willow needed more than just good Russian food to fill her up was far from lost. Her cheeks were flushed as they entered the restaurant, deciding she'd have to give her dear friend a combination of grief and praise later. After all, while the sweet southern Belle might have had her head in the gutter, there was a certain art in being able to make the simplest thing perverse.
The two parted as they were about to assume their normal seats when her eyes fell on Theo's seat that was very much Theo-less. Her brows furrowed in confusion, but as if she had managed to think him into the room, she turned to find that boyish grin looking at her. As if she couldn't control them, the corners of her lips immediately flipped up, her entire day brightening as he entered it.
"You're essentially late," she lightly chastised him before taking the seat, her gaze forced to switch to the heavy backpack as it was dropped. "Are you studying or trying to smuggle a library around?" Her jest at him was gentle though, spaced between filling her plate and starting to enjoy it.
