Futuristic space pirates

((Have fun!))

Kat raised her head with a sleepy as the Captain left, but didn't bother to stop him. "Oh screw it. I'll give him the list of medical supplies needed later." She made sure the patient pager on her commlink was at max volume and that an alarm was set before she fell asleep on Captain Zed's bed. She did have still feed the emperor after all. Her brain was foggy as she closed her eyes and tried to remember whether or not she had sent the list to Sonia.

((Not too much where the emperor is concerned. Just know that it's the next day and you are probably hungry because I, the doctor, have yet to bring you your meal))

Kat sat up as her commlink's alarm blared and ripped her from her sleep. She quickly turned it off as she found the sound highly annoying. "Wait... something's not righ- the Captain's quarters?!" As always it took her a moment to actually join the waking world. When she finally did, however, she recalled that she had been meaning to talk Zed about the med supplies that needed to be restocked. Unfortunately after spending all night cataloging each and every med she had been so tired that she had ended up falling asleep on his bed. "Great... I meant to ask him to send someone else to give the emperor his breakfast was well." She yawned and lazily walked out the door and to the mess hall.

((We cloaked and since our engines are down Felicia flew the shuttle, cat in tow, to the surface of a planet. Thehn we all got drunk.))

Once other members of the crew came to man their stations on the bridge, Jax stood and went towards the messhall the grab some toast. He felt considerably better after drinking Kat's sludge, but still felt considerably awful. He was dragging his feet as he walked, his eye lids half closed.

"Im never drinking again."

"That's what you all say." Kat said as she chewed her toast and passed by the communications officer. She picked up a tray for the emperor and loaded it with a nutritious breakfast. "And then you go right back to it."

"Well it gives me an excuse to see your beautiful face every morning Sweetheart." He smiled, "Oh youre getting me breakfast too, huh?" He held out his hands and smiled, "I knew there was a reason I was falling in love with you." He winked

Conner sat in his cell, rather miserable. His bid for escape gave him a bruised face for his troubles. And thanks to their partying for capturing him kept him from getting any good sleep. So, he stayed up all night, pacing back and forth, thinking of plans to bust out.

"Oh haha." Kat replied dryly then stretched with a sleepy look on her face. She proceeded to pick up the tray and remove it from his reach. "This is for the emperor. Prisoners have to eat to you know or else they won't be able to be prisoners anymore." Not waiting for a response, Kat started heading for the exit to the mess hall. She had taken care of Emperor Conner a few times when he was sick or injured and hoped that he wouldn't remember her.

Conner heard someone approaching his cell, and composed himself as best he could, trying to look dignified and unruffled. Who could this be? Could it be the captain come to gloat? If it was, he would find Conner acting as if he were in his throne room, and a hand snaking through to grab him and slam him into the door.

Kat began to get nervous. If she had been sitting with nothing to do it would have been apparent through her fidgeting in some manner. Fortunately, as her heels clicked down the hall, she had a purpose and her nervous expressions therefore did not show. Kat had once upon a time stayed by his bedside treating a fever that had been the result of a poisoning. A lot of people were executed that day. She stopped before the emperor's door, prayed to God that he didn't remember her, and knocked on it before walking in. Even prisoners deserve some semblance of dignity. "Hello Emperor Conner," She said while not making eye contact and trying to hide behind her blond locks. "I've brought you some breakfast."

"Good morning. I'm surprised your captain didn't come and pay me a visit. Set it anywhere." Conner said. She seemed familiar, but how? He was pretty sure that he has never met this pirate before.

"The Captain is a busy man I'm sure he will make time to visit you soon." Kat responsed as she set the tray down on a small portable table that was in the corner and far from his reach. She picked the table and it's contents up and carried over to the emperor. Setting it down just within his reach so that he could move it closer to him but not make a grab for her as she did with any prisoner. "I am your primary caretaker here on the Cat and will be back to collect your tray." Kat said as she caught herself beginning to bow as one usually did when speaking with the emperor. She tried to make it seem as if the bowing motion never happened and she was just putting a plastic spoon on his tray.

"Well then I hope we can get along." Conner replied, inching the table closer. This girl at least knew how to act around royalty, nearly giving him an unconscious bow. Well, she may have just been guessing about what to do and decided against it. "Have a good day, Miss...?" Conner trailed off, not knowing her name.

Emperor Conner once knew her as Katrice Camden or just Dr. Camden so she doubted the harm in giving him her nickname. It's not like they ever spent time together in a non-professional setting. "You may call me 'Kat' your highness." She turned to leave the cell, pausing in thought. "Is there anything you might need? And no, I can't uncuff your wrist from the bed in case you are wondering."

"Cat. Actually, now that you mention it, a short walk around the ship would be nice. Under watch, of course." Under watch or not, he had a plan. "But, if not. Then au revoir, little cat." And with that, he nonchalantly began to eat his breakfast.

Kat looked at him for a minute before turning away and heading for the exit again. Either his body was already getting restless or he had something planned which was more likely of the two. Either way she was glad to step out into the hallway again. Being in the same room as Emperor Conner made her mixed feelings of guilt grow and made her feel more and more like a traitor. Kat headed to the med bay to check on her patients again before striking up another conversation with the Captain. "Maybe I can take a lunch break with Sonia or something?" She thought to herself while stretching and yawning again.

Felicia hummed as she put her detached arm back together. She actually woke up a long time ago, but because of some hangover pills she had horded from the past, she had a productive morning. In just a few hours, she ate enough for two people, cleaned her three personal weapons and her arm, and even added an upgrade to her arm. It now had a "mood lighting" mode. But she was done with her stuff. She wanted to work on someone else's weapons. Maybe she could give someone else a "mood lighting" mode on their weapon. Maybe she could make it so that it only activated when she turned her arm's "mood lighting" on. She briefly wondered who she should give it to as she started to wander the halls of the ship.

After walking for a little while, she ended up at the brig. She vaguely remembers the captain saying they had a prisoner- or was it a visitor?- she would much rather like a visitor. She smiles and throws open the door. "Welcome, to the Cat! I will be your guide to this five star pirate ship and hotel. How do you like your eggs? Nonexistant? Good. So do I."

"And who are you?" Conner asked this other girl. Right off the bat she seemed like a strange one. Who knew what she would say let alone what she would do.

Felicia paused when the visitor asked her who she was. "I already told you... I am your guide! Felicia, although most people call me the 'coolest person I've met', don't be afraid to use that nickname." She walked in and scratched her chin. "Your room is quite roomy, though there's way too many windows for my taste. How've you liked your stay here so far?"

"All Im saying is we should kill the bastard right now! Let the empire fall into a civil war!" One of the grunts Jax was eating with yelled out, "Then we can make loads more pillaging!"

Jax shook his head, "No No No! We'll just get somebody worse and lots of innocents will die!"

"So Jax? How is that our problem? It aint! Zed is supposed to take care of us and he don't!"

Jax pulled a pistol on the man, "Talk bad about Zed again and see where that gets you. Cause I can guarantee you that it wont be far, you filth."

The other man backed down, "Sorry Jax, it's just the drink in me, you know I'd never betray Zed or the Cat.. really, Im sorry."

Jax holstered his pistol, "Dont let me hear that kinda talk again alright? From none of ya. Zed'll take care of us. And Im sure once we get our pay day we'll cap the bastard."

"So far it has been wonderful. But sadly, your captain and my host hasn't let me see the rest of the ship. Glad you came to show me around. Now, if you could get the key so you can unchain me, we can go." Conner said as he gestured to his chain connecting him to the bed. If she asked why he was chained to the bed... Well he has told stranger lies.

She pursed her lips in thought, her chin on her fist. "But why wouldn't he let you see the ship? It's a wonderful ship." She smiles dreamily and holds her cheeks, "The ship is made of the finest materials and she has the most beautiful cannons and have you seen her cockpit? Ah~ She's my most favorite thing in the world..." She looks at the man seriously and grabs one of the bars of his cell. "You have got to see her. Where are the keys?"

"You know what, I'm not sure. I think a woman called Kat might know where they are. But don't tell her that you want them to let me out. Something about her tells me she doesn't like me for some odd reason." Conner said, thinking on his toes now.

She curled her hand into a fist. "Herr doktor." She turned away from the man, turning on a comm to Kat. "Kat! Kat, kitty kat I've got an emergency. Where are the keys for our guest?"
