Futuristic space pirates

Kat shook her head at Jax's antics. It wasn't the first time she had been in situations such as this, soldiers would often come on to her back when she worked for the military. "Haha. A 'bargain' would mean that you actually have something of value to give me in return for little on my part. Good night Jackson." The caretaker in her worried if he whether could actually make it to his bed or not. If he couldn't he would probably be fine sleeping on the floor... but what if he pulled an idiot move and slept on his back instead of his side? She had lost a drunk uncle that way. Kat debated whether or not to turn around.

When Kat heard a loud noise, most likely Jax bumping into something, her worrywart nature came out and she went in to check on him. "Oh for crying out-" She huffed quietly just in case she actually managed to disturb his sleep. Jackson was sprawled out with half is body on the bed and half hanging off and onto the ground. The table by his bedside was knocked over. Kat took the liberty of straightening that first before tackling the several pound grown drunkard. "Come on." She grunted as she tried to get his whole body onto the bed and on his side in case he threw up or some such.

Zed laughed at slinger's glee. He seemed to be tough and scary, but he was really a sweet alien he walked back to his room and turned on a news broadcast that was being transmited by a buoy nearby. (The buoy's are all connected and the chain starts at earth.) The newslady was talking about the emperor's newest territory. The news of the emperor hadn't reached the citizens yet. He turned it off and went to bed, falling asleep quickly.

Felicia was disappointed when the little group dissipated, and she finished the last of her drink to slink to her bed, not forgetting her space helmet. When she got to her room, she kissed each of her blueprints goodnight, then each of her models, lastly, her mirror. "Goodnight, Felicia. Goodnight. Don't let the bed bugs bite!" She beamed back at her reflection, then changed into her jammies, kissing the space suit and helmet goodnight before climbing into bed. Perhaps she will think of a way to implement laser eyes into the helmet. Yeah... That'd be cool.

The next morning, Jax sat at his console on the bridge, groaning lightly with a cup of coffee sitting next to him. He was waiting for the steam to dissipate a little, he didn't want to add a burning tongue on the list of things making him miserable currently. He had all the lights in the bridge off, and was waiting for Kat to wake up so he could steal some medication from her.

Kat stretched her limbs tiredly as her alarm clock woke her up. She sat up in a daze for about fifteen minutes, waiting for her mind to adjust to the waking world before she ate the morning snacks at her bedside table. "Ugh... how many hours of sleep was that? Two maybe?" She had been taking inventory and logging the rest of the med supplies. Kat took a blood sample and checked her vitals before preparing for the day. Yawning quite loudly, she walked into the sick bay with a steaming cup of coffee in her hand. No one was up yet which didn't surprise her since it was still pretty early.

Sitting at the computer console with a grimace on her face she opened up the ship's universal commlink line. "Anyone who has a hangover from last night come see me in the sick bay." She then got up and prepared the ingredients in the med bay's kitchen. It probably wouldn't be what people were expecting.

Jax opened a comm up to Katt, "Hey can you bring me whatever it is you got? Im the only one on the bridge right now and I cant leave it in case something pops up. I'll even be so kind as to give a kiss as a thank you." He laughed lightly as his joke, and then groaned at the movement with his laughter.

"Fine just give me a minute." Kat replied, ignoring his flirtation attempt. When she finished in the kitchen she was holding a pitcher of green sludge. She poured a cup to take to Jackson and sat it on the counter so she could check on her patients before she left. Sri was still in a coma, John was knocked out from the painkillers, and Jarrod was still sleeping. Kat checked their vital signs and other reports before determining everything as standard and walking back into the med bay's kitchen area. She picked up the drink and made her way to the bridge while yawning the whole time.

When she arrived, Jax sat up and looked at her. "Hey beautiful, how are you?" He took the cup and looked into it and frowned, "oh my..." He looked up at her, "what the hell is this? Are you trying to poison me because of my lame attempts to woo you?"

"Ah~" She laughed. "So you do know that your attempts are lame. No, unfortunately. I'm afraid that at the rate that this crew drinks we're out of hangover pills. Our Alka-Seltzer supply is starting to run low and I'm therefore putting it on an emergency use basis until the Captain takes us on a medical supply run. But enough of that." She shoved the health drink towards him. "Here. Drink up. It's a home remedy filled with lots of sodium bicarbonate to help with any stomach issues as well. And it doesn't taste as bad as it looks, promise." Kat smiled reassuringly.

"Alright Doc, I trust you." He sipped it at first, then finished it quickly making a sour face. "Taste like... Borithian Chicken..." He looked up at her. "So if the wooing attempts arent working huh? And here I thought I was a real charmer." He grinned to her and set the cup down. "How are the others, theyre still kickin'?"

Kat let out a small chuckle when Jax's face turned sour. "Yeah it still tastes pretty bad though." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair when Jax asked her about the condition of his crewmates. "John is out like a light due to the painkillers I gave him, his arm is pretty messed up, he won't be using it for a while. Jarrod has a concussion and is resting at the moment he'll be fine in a while as long as he doesn't do anything too strenuous mentally or physically. And Sri.... she hasn't woken up from her coma yet... But to answer your question, yes, they're still 'kicking'."

"Well we've got the best Doc on this side of then Mississippi Astroid Belt, so they're in good hands, and that isnt a lame attempt to woo you." Jax looked at Kat and smiled, "you really are the best." He sat back and looked toward the monitor, making sure no Imperial Cruisers came near the planet.

"Pft! Whatever you say Jax." Kat said with a smile and laugh in her voice. "Well I want to have a chat with our illustrious Captain before having to feed the emperor so if you'll excuse me." Absent mindedly checking the patient pager app on her commlink, Kat made to leave the ship's bridge. "Knowing Zed and the way he was drinking last night he might not even be up yet."

((Im sorry i was on motorcycle cross country. :/ )) zed woke up to an alarm that had been put on snooze... he didn't even remember putting it in snooze. He woke up with a head ache and realized he hadn't changed since last night. He got out of bed and put on some clean clothes. He then dropped to the ground and began his push-ups. Like he did every morning.

Kat made her way back to the med bay kitchen area for another cup of the hangover sludge miracle juice before walking to Captain Zed's door. She knocked on it and waited for him to open it for her. She could hear grunting and counting meaning that he was trying to keep himself fit as he did every morning.

((That's so cool! I've always wanted to do something like that but I've never even been ona motorcycle.))

((Its painfull, but ultimately is really fun. Hve to wear a big, bulky jaket with built in armor though. So i dont die.))

"Forty two... forty three.." he mumbled. Someone knocked om the door. He tried to imagine who it would be... then knew exactly who it was. "Come in doctor."

"Morning Captain, brought you something." Kat shoved the disgusting looking hangover remedy juice into his grasp. Without waiting for his response she waltzed right in and sat down with her legs crossed on his bed. Kat let out a huge yawn, tears forming at the edge of her vision. She was still tired from the few hours of sleep she had gotten before.

Zed sat uproght as he examined the green stuff. He got up and sat in a chair and gave her a look implying that she was insane. "You want me to drink this?"

"If you had restocked on various medical products when I suggested, then you wouldn't have to." She let herself fall back onto his big and comfy bed and failed to resist the urge to close her eyes. "The hangover pills were on that list by the way. And quit being such a baby. Jackson drank it and he's fine." She kept thinking about how the rest of her coffee was probably cold now.

XxX

Slinger hissed as he stretched out of his sleep, his spines scraped against the warm rafters and he shivered slightly. The alien moved out of the rafter, suprising one of the regular crew members in the engine room, he chuckled darkly at the human's shocked and fearful expression as Slinger walked away. He ended up in the currently enpty mess hall and climbed onto the chair he was at the night before, the tingle of alchohol present as a background and he tapped the table in a slow beat, wondering on when they would reach the trades post for supplies.

Zed rolled his eyes and started chugging it. When he was done he was thrown into a fit of coughs. "God that's vile." He said. He went over to his screen and turned it on. "The news has probably reached the bouys by now." On the screen apeard the same girl from last night.

"-yesterday the emperor's flagship was attacked by the dangerous pirate ship The Cat. The Cat ransacked the ship and has likely taken the emperor prisoner. Currently the emergency congress had dispatched a fleet of fighters to find and rescue the emperor." She droned on. Zed chuckled softly

Kat slowly opened her sleep deprived eyes as she listened to the newswoman's voice. She couldn't help a small seed of guilt forming in her chest as she was part of the group that kidnapped the man she had once loyally served. A traitor. She reached for the remote at the Captain's bedside and turned it off. Without waiting for his response to her actions, she laid back down on the bed but this time with her legs on it and her knees tucked up to her chin.

Zed chuckled at kat. He decided he would leave her there. He left and went to engineering so sonia could give him the rundown on what he could sell and what they needed from the market

((Im gunna be gone all day guys, were going to the beach xD ))
