Slinger slithered up the the bridge of the ship, watching the Emporer and knowing he was another ransom set. The alien seemed to sigh before watching Jax and the flashing red light. He moved beside the mercenary and grinned slightly at the ship, long past salvage, and the bodies around. His purring grew in strength as one hit the right wing of The Cat and bounced away. He'd be happy to be cleanup, for the bodies that is.

Jarrod hummed as he worked on calibrating the guns for higher accuracy and power levels. His cap was backwards and brown hair was getting into his eyes. Wiping it away and accidentily getting some oil on his forehead, Jarrod looked back at his work, content for the moment and moved tot he engine room.

Conner just needed an opportinity. A knife or gun left out, or a sleeping guard, and he could attempt an escape. And they wouldn't be able to touch him. As that captain said himself, he was only worth something alive.

Jed and sonia reached engineering when he got the comm from jax. "You think you can handle the wepons console Jax?" He asked. The cat still had shields and wepons, they could fight back if the ship decided to reappear. He turned to Felicia "get started!" He ordered.

Kay's workplace was a whirlwind of activity as Sonia came and dropped another patient into care. She gave John a quick sling for his arm and told him not to move it as she made her way over to the other bed. "Damn." Jarrod was unconscious and seemed to have a few 1st degree burns as well as slight bleeding on his head. Kat got out a special burn salve to put on him as well as scanning equipment to make sure he didn't damage anything important.

As soon as Zed left, she found the cloaking device. She immediately picked it up and began inspecting it, chewing on her lip ring. She glanced up at Zed, giving him a catty smile. "Yessir mister captain sir!" She sat down where she was standing, moved her eyepatch from in front of her eye, and began tinkering, using the small tools she keeps in one of her pouches on her side. "Ohhhh, this a b-e-youtiful piece of work, you're so advanced, yes you are!" She tapped the top with her finger, smiling at the device. "But she's like her own manual, she's so easy to work with! I'll have her working for us in no time, cappin'!"

Jed nodded at Felicia. "Call me when you have it installed." He turned to Sonia. "Come with me to the bridge." He said to Sonia. She nodded once, and they went to the bridge. Jed went immediately to the captains chair and Sonia sat down in at the wepons console. "Tell me what you saw Jax."

 

[Sulfirious]

Slinger looked towards the entering people, he tilted his head and tapped his claws together curiously. Glancing at Jax then back to Zed, he walked smoothly out of the way and leaned against the entrance doorway, his spined scraping against it and giving him a slight tingling sensation. Slinger's eyes glowing brighter as he awaited the conversation that would begin sometime shortly.

Jax shrugged, "It came up on the console, just a red blimp, only for a couple of second Boss, then it went away. I didn't have any direct visualization, and Im not picking up any communcations, which means its not an Empire ship, cause even when they go dead silent, they still use inter-ship comms which is a huge flaw in their system. But.." Jax just sighed, "Nothing is out there now."

Sonia went through the sytems. All cannons were online... shields were working.... seems everything but the engine was operating.


Jed rested his head on his fist. "It couldnt have been just a blip. There must have been something there. Did the mystery ship cloak?"

Slinger looked at the two with interest, knowing it could be a possible scouting mission. Two missions one after another were always fun, after all there were more people to kill. Slinger grinned at the thought but made no more movements to attract attention.

 

[DrCompton]

Jax shrugged, "Maybe, but we have some pretty great sensors, I know because I installed them with Sonia's help. They pick up even ghost comm static, and unless they're more advanced than the empire then... I got nothing Boss man." He looked up at Zed, "We need to get outta here."

 

[Leijonion]

"Cappin'! Cappin'! No wait, where's my communicator?" She fumbled with her mechanical arm for a moment, then. "Cappin'! Cappin'! Guess what! I found my communicator! No, that's not, oh! Oh, no, it's ahm, you wanted the cloaking device to cloak us, right? Because if so, I've got good news." She tapped the cloaking device, "you are not the father!" She pushed the last wire into place, smiling as sparks flew. The new cloaking device was up!

"Thats the problem, we cant until we get some of the parts from the Crown installed. Speaking of which, Sonia, you should actually be down in engineering, getting started on those parts."


Sonia nodded once and made her way down to the cargo bay. She knew what parts she needed.


Just then Zed got an idea. "Slinger, fill sonia's spot. Jax, scan for a nebula, or a system, or any place we can hide that is close" 
Zed recived Felicia' s message. "Good work as always." He said. Pointing to a crew member on the bridge that was responsible for such things he said "bring it online." The crew member responed with


"We're cloaked."

[Kattz]

Kat finished scanning Jarrod's cranium, noting that there was no serious damage, only that he would probably be in pain when he woke up. With the special burn salve applied, she hooked him up to a machine to monitor his vitals until he regained consciousness. As she bandaged his head and wiped away the blood, Kat thought to herself, "Great. That makes two unconscious. I wonder when this one'll wake up...."

Slinger purred louder as he took place in the weapons systems, he was prepared to do anything that was commanded, at least Slinger had something to do.

Jarrod groaned in pain as the bright obnoxious light of the medbay invaded his vision. He carefully lifted an arm to shield his eyes, but found great pain in moving it, so he shielded his eyes with the other. After much time of adjusting to the light, Jarrod looked to find the medic, Kat leaning over him. Wincing in pain, Jarrod layed back and just tried to focus on anything but the pain in his head.

Sonia reached the cargo bay and looked down into the pit. "Wow. The terran emperor himself." She walked down the steps and folded her arms right in front of him. "Good work jackie. Just... really nice. But why isn't he in the brig yet?" Sonia didn't know how much hand to hand combat experience he had, but surely this place wasnt secure enough for the most important human alive.

Kat smiled brightly at the fact that one of her unconscious patients was finally wake. "Hey there." She was nearly finished with bandaging his head. "Welcome back to the world of the living." She joked. Pulling a mini flashlight out of her breast pocket, Kat shined it's light into his eyes to check them. "Any pain should be natural but are you feeling any dizziness or fatigue?" She needed to check if he had a concussion.

Jarrod sighed and blinked as he saw the flashlight. "Ugh yeah, I'm sleepy..." He frowned as he answered "And in a lot of pain, what happened?" Looking up to Kat with sudden curiosity as his memory failed to give him an answer. Jarrod assumed that they were attacked, but by what. "Do they need me? Oh shoot I should be down if there are any repairs to be made, did everyone make it out alive?" The barrage of questions came before Jarrod could process them and he attempted to sit up rather quickly.

"Everyone is fine accept for any of the injured who made it back here, but they are in my care now so they will be." She sat back and put the light back in her breast pocket. Her voice remained calm as she smiled kindly at him and said, "You were hit by some kind of explosion apparently, I wasn't there so I can't give you exact details. Sonia carried you in while I was treating Sri and John." When Jarrod attempted to sit up, Kat gently but firmly pushed him to lay down. "You aren't going anywhere with that concussion. Everyone will be fine." Kat reassured, noting how he winced at the light earlier. "Now make sure to stay awake." Kat got up and looked around for her concussion response checklist.

Jarrod sighed, but didn't fight any further, not knowing firsthand a medic's wrath, but fearing the possibility. "Alright.. So, how bad is it?" Logic took over to assess the damage, he was no medic, but he knew his concussion wasn't good.

 

[DrCompton]

"Got one Boss Man. Terron IV system, 5 planets, 3 volcanic one Terra-Like. Thats a good place to go, nothing official is settled there, just Wild Cat colonies, they'll help us if we got stuff to trade, which Im guessing we do now."
