Cloud Watcher

On the eastern coast, right on the foothills of the great mountains, is the small city of Morroc. A tropic city that attracts politicians, farm workers and sellswords alike. The cities start begin around the Hunters Guild, built to slow the advancing fiends coming down from the northern mountains. With the large payouts from hunting Fiends terrorizing the nearby farmlands and roadways, it has brought in people from all walks of life to make a living defeating these foul creatures. Over the years it has become quite the dream job for many in the area, but it was not something for the feint of heart. Many who weren't particularly adept enough to perform these tasks, took on others roles in town as blacksmiths, apothecaries, politicians, as well as, priests, town guards and much more. The town grew rather large which led to the grand arena being built in town, which many thought was a bad idea, bringing monsters directly into town, but nonetheless it was done. Now the town has become a culture center, a place where anyone can change their lives and lead a free life of their choosing.

Now the increasing population has also increased the fiend activity and has made Morroc and the surrounding very dangerous. New government as taken command and what fate awaits the people is yet to be known......

Ryne sit slouching behind the main desk in the Hunting guild main hall, the place was rather empty since there weren't many people interested in the hunt since his fathers death. He just couldn't inspire them the way his father use to. Ryne sighed heavily as he draped himself over the desk."This is such a drag." He closed his eyes just to savor the quiet he had for now, because it was the day the governor would send someone to collect the guilds income. He knew he could pay it, but hated paying those political money sharks. It was how the town was ran, and there wasnt much he could do about it.

The sun was shining on this new day, as Mea bounced around her house to find her gear. It was a small little home but it always kept her warm, her cat perching in the window. Waiting prob for some breakfast, that she was trying to make. After she had fed her self and the cat, Mea gathered her thing and ran to the usual spot. Before anyone else would get it, anyway that's the spot most people come to find her. It took a few good minutes to reach it, some sweat already starting to come across her but she shrugged it away. Taking out her violin and begin her morning routine, playing her violin softly and singing her song.

"Snow-white! Snow-white! O Lady clear!

O Queen beyond the Western Seas!

O Light to us that wander there

Amid the world of woven trees!

Gilthoniel! O Elbereth!

Clear are thy eyes and bright is breath,

Snow-white! Snow-white! We sing to thee

In a far land beyond the Sea!

O Stars that in the Sunless Year

With shining hand by thee were sown,

In windy fields now bright and clear

We see your silver blossom blown!

O Elbereth Gilthoniel!

We still remember, we who dwell

In this far land beneath the trees,

Thy starlight on the Western Seas."

After a moment of silence a pleasant voice began to reverberate throughout the main hall. Ryne couldn't help but grin slightly, he had heard the singing recently coming from the streets outside. He walked to take a look at who the angelic voice was coming from. As he approached the window the voice grew ever more pleasant with every step. Upon reaching the windowsill he saw a rather entrancing young elf singing with such a gleeful smile. "Isn't that cute! Even in such dark times there are those with such a genuine smile." Her smile was infectious and Ryne couldn't help but smile with his devious grin.

After a few moments Mea finish that song, she dint seem out of breath yet. And looked at the few people who had gathered along "would anyone like to pick the next one?" she asked softly and they all got exited, knowing she would do it. After hearing all of there choices she noticed a man in the window from across the land. Her smile grew and she yelled softly "Would you like to pick a song sir?" Mea started to hum up her violin for more music. Even now as she spoke her words were in musical notes.

Ryne grin grew wider as she acknowledged him, he was trying not the blush he was far too manly for that. "Musician choice!" He shouted back with a little more anxiety then he intended. She was quite charming the way she drew the crowd to her, they all seemed quite entertained and caught in her entrancing aura. Now slouching on the windowsill, he was completely lost in her eyes, he'd never seen someone so odd yet interest in his life. The melody coming her violin was so soothing almost made him forget all his current worries.

Mea smiled and played a more upbeat song, getting everyone dancing with her. Her pink dress flowing with her, and the sun seeming to hit her just right. While her hair shimmered and glowed.

In days of old in a kingdom bold, there lived a fearsome dragon.

And the King he was in great distress and the countries spirits flagoned.

Until one day there came a knight, he was handsome, bold, and charming.

And he slew the dragon with his sword with a smile that was so disarming.

With a hey and a ho and a hey nany no, a smile that was so disarming.

Said the King I wish to know your name, but the knight said do not bother.

For the name of a knight of the realm says he, is the same as any other.

Said the King tonight in my daughter's bed you shall take your leisure.

And she'll reward you for your deed, with a night of exhausting pleasure.

With a hey and a ho and a hey nany no, anight of exhausting pleasure

The song was starting to rile Ryne up, his feet uncontrollably tapping in unison with the melody. Just then a large man came into the guild, with his black suit and large axe on his back, his demeanor was that of an arrogant mobster. "Rampage! Where is the money?!" His tone was loud and condescending.

This only agitated Ryne,
"Have fun getting it then!" So with a devious grin, he jumped from the window onto the street, not losing a beat he began dancing with the crowd laughing. He knew this would get him into some trouble with the governor, but he tended never to care much for his opinion. The brute ran to the window, his face red as if it was about to burst. He was far to large to jump down and Ryne knowing this continued to dance without a care, every so often turning back to stick his tongue out and mock the man.

When he turned towards this elf singing so elegantly, he caught himself quite dumbfounded, completely frozen he was beyond intrigued in her presence. The only free spirit in the city of decrypted tedium.

Diel groaned awake as she rose from her slumber. She had fallen in one of the monsters' cages again. She felt shifting underneath her and quickly felt what she was sleeping one. Scaly. Very scaly. She groaned and rolled of the giant black snake she was sleeping on and exit the cage. She exit the arena and into the streets where everyone seemed to be dancing. She walked through the crowd, entranced by the movements before bumping into someone, the only one who was standing still. "Oh...hello Ryne." She said. (I think that the Guild leader and Diel, one of the people who bring monsters into the arena should know each other.)

@S0vere1gn

Knocked back to reality by the light bump, Ryne realized it was Diel the arenas tamer. "Hey there Diel, its nice to see you walking the streets without a fiendly escort for a change." Ryne had known her for awhile now, though they where on different profitable ends when it came to dealing with the fiends, he did rather favor her above the usual stiffs he dealt with on a daily basis. "Its almost evening, rather late start for you. Were you sleeping in the cages again?" He playfully tapped her shoulder with a grin. "You know if you keep that up people are going to assume you're fiend lover!"

"...Do you want me to shove you into a cage." She said angrily. The temperature spiked but she didn't notice it. She calmed down and smiled. "Fine, yes I did, but I have a good excuse for it!" She said indignantly. "So, what's going on here huh?" She said as she looked around.

Ryne couldn't help but laugh, Diel was quite cute when she got agitated. "I'm sure you do have an excuse as always." He sarcastically stated. Looking back to the young elf bard, gesturing Diel to do the same. "It-seems-we-have-a-rare-street-spectacle-she-has-gathered-a-large-crowd-out-here-for-the-last-few-days." Ryne tried to sing quite awfully with the melody.

Maria walked through the town asking people various questions about the history of the place. Many told her about the hunting guild here and she decided to ask more questions there. She made her way to the guilds headquarters and into the main hall. "Hello uh sir? Are you the head of this guild?" she asked a little nervously.

Looking down on Maria was far from the guildmaster, Standing before here spanning an intimidating seven feet tall was a man in a black suit, on his back was a large axe embroidered with gold. "I'd rather be washed out to sea then head this pathetic guild" He spoke loud and obnoxiously, looking down at the young girl he scoffed. "But when you do see Mr.Rampage, do tell him that the governor wont be pleased one bit at his behavior today!" His voice reverberated throughout the hall, and with another scoff he shoved the young girl to the side and left the hall.

Ky woke up to laughter, which instantly brought a smile to his face. It was the good kind of laughter and music, a violin weaving through the air to the treetop where he'd fallen asleep. Not that he wasn't uncomfortable, he loved being up there. Stretching out his back in a very cat like way, Ky adjusted his cap to better cover his ears, double checked that his tail wasn't visible, then dropped out of the tree to the crowd. It was simple, and as soon as his bare feet hit the road he laughed, dancing through the crowd of people who were all laughing and dancing as well. They wouldn't have noticed him, and if they did they didn't seem to care.

An elf was playing the violin, leading everyone in the dance, and a few people were standing off the the side chatting. One of which Ky recognized as the arena's trainer, and immediately changed directions. Did not want to go back to that place, hence why he hid his very noticeable ears and tail. Passing a building --a guild or something-- Ky saw a very very large man shove a much smaller girl and stopped dead in his tracks. Ok, not cool. Quickly getting back in the crowd, Ky went over to the much bigger man and discreetly double tapped the man's shadow with his foot, silently muttering a quick spell and binding the shadow and man to the spot before dancing back into the crowd.

Dravis found himself unable to move all of a sudden, he was sure this was some magic, something that wasn't foreign to him."What a cute little spell!" Almost chuckling as he said it, his eyes began to gleam a crimson red, as the air around him began to swirl. With a tight clench of his fist he was free, and abruptly turned to the crowd. He took a strong whiff of the area, and his eyes locked to a quite odd fellow with a cap, the smell was familiar and he began to reach for his axe ready for combat, he'd take out everyone in the crowd if he had to. It was no sweat off his brow, the governor had given immunity, which gave him free reign to do as he pleased. A terribly villainous grin grew across his face as slowly proceeded towards the crowd fingers twitching with excitement.

"Yeah yeah I would but I'm kinda tired." She said. "I was out all day yesterday taming a giant snake." She added before slowly and uncontrollably tipping towards Ryne out of exhaustion. "I'm...so...sleepy." She mumbled as she tipped over.

Ky threw his head back and laughed, having gotten caught up in a small circle dance, and he grinned while looking around. Sadly the first thing he noticed when he looked down was the super big, uber creepy dude watching, you guessed it, Ky. "Not good," he whispered to himself, ears pinned flat to his head under his cap before he ducked into the crowd. If Ky had to guess, he'd say he had about five seconds before crazy axe guy drew said axe, and about six until he was cut up into a million tiny pieces. Yeah, fun morning took a downturn. "I'm so dead," he scolded himself, thumping himself on the forehead before taking a breath and then making a break for it down the street. He was smaller and faster than the other, and plus the arena trainer and the other guy were standing in the way so it might stall his chaser. Key word might.

"Well why not come by the guild, it's been rather empty lately" Ryne kinda brought himself down with his comment. At that instant he remembered he left Dravis back at the hall and knew he'd have to handle that brute upon returning. Turning back towards the guild he noticed, that none other the the devil himself was walking towards the crowd, but seemed not to be paying attention to him but something else. He reached for Diel's hand and guided her away from the crowd to go around the opposite side of the guild. "Come on! Im sure some rest on one of our soft beds would do you some good." He was kind of frantic and he could even hear how awkward he was sounding.

The dancing was making it hard for Dravis to keep track of the odd person, but he continued moving forward. Now standing right on the edge of the crowd, he was now standing above the group of dancing townsmen, he began to look for the suspect. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Ryne and the arena tamer rushing from the crowd, but his current attention was on someone else. "Come out you little monster, so i can cut you up good and nice!" He chuckled loudly, starting to draw attention from the townsmen.

Jay sprinted through the crowd dodging person by person making his way to the guild hall with his mask on. He ran past a fruit stand swiping an apple and saving it for later in a small pouch.

He noticed the townspeople were unusually distracted and decided to take advantage by pickpocketing a handful of coins.

Ky stopped when he noticed some of the dancers get worried, and cursed under his breath. 'Ok,' he though, tapping his fingers to the side of his leg nervously. 'There's about 200 townspeople here, a guild that's not doing sh*t next door, a very ticked, giant-axe wielding guy, and me. ... Odds suck.' Ky sighed before turning back to the crowd and gently pushing his way behind the guy and where there were less people. If anyone got hurt because he was being an idiot Ky would probably go die in a corner somewhere. It took one more sigh to gather his courage before Ky glared at the much taller man's back. "Hey ugly! Too stupid to turn around?! Or are you too busy ogling the rocks over there?!" He stood with his hands in his pockets, confidently and uncaring to the untrained eye but balanced on the balls of his feet to run. Fighting was out of the option, at least with all the people around.

"Wait." She said suddenly. Her eyes shot open from her sleepy daze. "Something's going on." She mumbled as she turned around. She started scanning the crowd for something different. Her eyes landed upon a boy with a cap who was taunting another man. The temperature spiked a tiny bit. She started to stride forward towards them.

Jay ran swiftly atop a stone wall looking for easier prey.Spotting a bickering pair he dove into the crowd sprinting towards the two. Jay smirked and said to himself "Too easy," as he stopped by the one in the cap easily slipping in and out with a loaf of bread.

Dravis turned with a intensifying gaze, eyes fixated on the young capped male. "I knew that smell was familiar! You're from the arena!" He drew his axe and it gleamed with its gold embroidering. "Your going back to the arena whether you walking or me dragging your lifeless corpse!" The man began to look as if he was getting larger with every second, eyes gleaming like the very pits of hell.

"Dammit" Ryne was really trying to avoid confrontation it was one thing to run from Dravis, he's done it on many other occasion, but to start this kind of commotion would definitely get the governor involved. He took a deep breath and followed are Diel, he knew he political position subjected Dravis to his whim, in some small aspect, but thats all he needed right now. He gripped his sword ready for combat he couldn't get to many involved in the altercation

"Huh?" Jay looked around spotting the source of the shouting and swallowed fearful yet curious about what would happen next scurrying over up into a tree closer to where the two men were, watching intently.
