Fantasy Sovereignty

Ky actually growled, dropping into a more natural fighting stance and backing slowly away from the guy. Of course he couldn't keep that information to himself, just had to announce to the crowd Ky was from the arena. Well since he was already busted... Reaching into a pocket on his pants Ky drew a small dagger, runes carved into the dark metal and glowing faintly red, the same colour as his eyes. His tail came free and Ky let it hang out, not caring at the moment and would probably need the extra balance. "Well since you know so much about me, you also know I hadn't lost yet," he said, and it was true. Losing meant death, but he hadn't actually fought in almost half a year, and even with his magic there was no way Ky would survive against the guy and his axe.

Diel arrived and put herself between them. "I got this, no need for harm." She said, pushing the bigger man away. She then turned to face the other one. "C'mon." She said as chains of light appeared and wrapped around the boy with the cap. She then started to drag him to the arena and when they were out of sight of anyone, loosened the chains.

From the tree Jay spotted the boy he had stolen the piece of bread from seeing he only had a dagger Jay Drew his bow. He noticed the girl take care of it and held back still keeping an eye on the other pair.

Dravis was not one to be defied, and at that moment he was already full of bloodlust. "What makes you think a lowly arena worker has authority over me!" Gripping his axe even tighter now he took steps forward to to begin to give chase. Dravis was lost now in his bloodlust and was ready to kill the closet thing to him, his arrogance was his greatest weakness, but also his most fearsome aspect.

Ryne quickly put himself in Dravis's path "Dammit, Dravis are you seriously going to make me draw my blade." He had done it once before, which is why they had never been on good terms. He knew he had two options, he could either use his political position to get his way, which he hated doing. He hated sounding like a pompous aristocrat, but knew he may have to. Or he could draw his blade and settle a long overdue battle"Dravis I swear if I need draw my blade you will not be making it back to the governor to give your report tonight!" Ryne was starting to get riled up now, which wasn't good, because once he draws his blade it wouldn't be sheathed again until somebody was dead and bloodied.

Ky was stunned when the trainer showed up from no where, breaking up the soon to be fight. He was about to high tail it out of there, go hide in the inner city before they could find him, but suddenly there were bright chains of light around him and dragging him through the dirt. He cursed, trying to break out while making sure not to lose his dagger. When they were out of sight from the crowd the chains loosened and Ky took that to his advantage, sitting himself up quickly and binding his shadow to the ground. It was stronger than the spell from earlier, and he glared up at the girl. "What right do you have dragging me to the arena? Like some common criminal to the gallows when I just tried to get that ranging lunatic away from those people. While you did nothing as I remember," Ky said flatly, keeping his glare steady. It was probably a strange sight, a young girl standing in front of a slightly older boy who was sitting on the ground, bound in magic chains and yet he's scolding her like a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

"Shh, he's coming." She said. The temperature spiked to extremes, but she stayed oblivious to the intense heat. She let out a low growl before standing ready to take Dravis' charge. Her dragon lineage, the one she was unaware of was starting to act up again.

"You arrogant little shit! Do you honestly think you would be alive today without the governor's pity!" Dravis was now standing right before Ryne, he clenched his axe tightly raising it to strike. "I've just about had enough of you! Im going to end you here and then put down the rest of your little friends!" He voices thundered like the rage of the gods. Dravis swings his axe down on Ryne with enough force to shatter the walls around the city.

With lightning speed Ryne drew his sword parrying the strike, the look on Dravis's face was priceless, he couldn't help but smirk. "Now you've made a mistake and when you wake up you can cry to your governor about it!" Ryne knew that the brutes blind charge was always his weak point, and he did love making a fool of him. Now with all the force he could muster he lunged upward, forcing his knee into the brutes face and with a harsh CRACK, Ryne had a very reassuring smile etch its way across his face and with a loud thud Dravis fell unconscious. Ryne sighed heavily, he knew this would bring him some issues later, but he didn't care much. "Now it didn't have to come to this you stupid brute!" With a smirk he tossed the money he owed to the governor onto Dravis chest and walked away whistling the bards melody from earlier.

Ky watched as the two men fought, shrinking down a little under his cap as the smaller guy walked away whistling. "That was..." He struggled for words to fill in what his brain was thinking, which was hard because it skipped like a badly carried tune. Finally he just looked at the girl, one eyebrow raised. "Do they do that often? Because if they do I'm wondering how the city is still intact," he joked, though half serious. Still, a joke is a joke and it's better than thinking about the chains of light slowly burning him and the heat the girl was giving off somehow.

Diel blinked as everything returned to normal. "Yes, it does." She said as the chains disappeared. "Go, run, I'll blame your escape on him." She said as she started walking away. She followed Ryne back to the commotion. "So, bed?" She asked Ryne, feeling tired.

Ryne stood there with a clueless look on his face, he could never get how Diel could be so nonchalant after what just unfolded. "Uh..Yea...Bed." He couldn't help stuttering a bit. "What about the fiend? You can't expect me to let it roam freely though town, we cant have another situation like this happen again!" His blade still gripped tightly in his hand, he was unsure what to do at this point, but still itching for a fight.

"Not my fault, you guys were fighting and with all the commotion I lost focus on the chains." She said. "I wouldn't worry though, with what you two did he probably won't be showing his face around her out of sheer terror." She added as she started swaying from exhaustion.

"It's Dravis we're talking about, he'll just come back with some town guards." He sighed with annoyance."I guess ill deal with that as it comes." Ryne noticed how tired Diel looked and reached out to hold her steady. She was able to show such fire to protect that young fiend, he knew she let him go, there was no way anyone could escape her chains without her releasing them. "Why don't we head to the guild now, I'm sure you could use some good rest after asserting yourself so much." With a charming smiling he started to lead her back to the main hall.

Ky stared at the girl's back as she walked away, red eyes blinking unbelievingly before he have her a small, thankful smile that she probably didn't see and took off, almost seeming to vanish because of his speed. A few seconds later he was at the area where the dancing crowd had been, hiding in the trees and silently surveying the damage. Thankfully the big guy was out for the count, and it seemed that already the story was distorted by whispering. There was no boy in a cap, stupidly challenging a giant of a man, but didn't you see the wild fiend with many tails and green--or was it blue?--skin, rabid by all accounts and being fought off by some the brave man with an axe. Some how that had stayed the same, and Ky rolled his eyes. Humans could change what happened faster than it seemed to really go, so he was safe as long as he laid low. Dropping down the the much calmer street, Ky flowed with the crowd until he got to a market place where he began to wander, keeping an eye open for trouble.

Finally waking, Dravis was beyond inflamed, he was made a fool in front of enough townspeople that it would without a doubt get back to the governor. Rubbing his face, it was numb and the blood had dried up now, a few hours had passed and the streets were quiet now. "That arrogant little shit! He wont get away with this!" Snarling to himself, he knew he couldn't just burst into the guild. He had to think of a plan, no guards would assist him on some renegade assault on the main hall.

Yuuki happily walks out of her small combo home and shop to do some shopping for food and new items for making jewelry out of. After about an hour and a half Yuuki continues wondering around to different shops or booths that people had set up to sell their goods to potential customers. She wonders around as her mind also wonders with thoughts about some gems she should try finding for necklaces or what she needs to complete some jewelry that she's already started on. While she was in her little world, she failed to pay attention and ran into a older boy with dark black hair and was a little taller than her.

Ky was busy getting lost in his own little world of clouds and thoughts, and didn't notice when he ran into a girl. Instantly he came crashing back down to reality, quickly gaining his balance back and holding a hand to steady the girl. "Oh my gods I'm so sorry," he apologized quickly. "I wasn't paying any attention at all which is never a good thing and can get people in trouble and-" Realizing he was partially ranting, Ky stopped and bit his lip, fighting back an embarrassed blush. Finally he looked back at the girl and said, "I'm sorry, are you ok?"

Yuuki snaps out of her thoughts just as the boy said sorry the first time and answered his question, "y-yea im fine, just a little dizzy that's all." shaking her head, she stands up and looks at the boy that she just ran into by accident, "it was partially my fault too for not paying attention." Looking him over quickly she felt a strange presence about him but paid no attention to it.

"Thank you Ryne." She mumbled as she fell forward onto him. She fell asleep right then and there after mumbling 'Love ya.' inaudibly. Her body shifted unconsciously in an effort to make herself more comfortable, or at least comfortable enough to not be bothered.

Shifting her body to carry her, Ryne carried her to through the main hall to his bedroom. Upon opening the door slowly with his foot he looked upon his fathers old room that he now claimed as his own, it was in pristine condition as he had never actually been in the room since his father passed. Laying Diel down ever so gently, he looked down at her with a nurturing smile as he moved the hair from her face and tucked her on in. "You should be able to rest for a while here." He crept out of the room as to not wake her making his way back to the main hall, it was about the time the runner brings in new request for the guild and he always made sure to take the more dangerous jobs for himself, so any newcomers wouldnt be intimidated by the tasks.
