Fantasy Soul Secrets

Ben followed, reluctant to here the news now that she knew who was on their case. She had been trying to stay in touch with her family. That was a sign that the SEP may be closing in, but she couldnt be sure until Kat spoke.

Sure. Maybe their positioning at the moment was a bit awkward, as they were strewn horizontally across the bed, but Cameron wasn't even thinking about it. Light hues continued staring back, listening to her question before answering it thoughtfully. When she moved closer, Cameron fixed his position so that his arm was extended out under Chantal's neck, with her head resting upon it. Cameron was now lying on his back, looking up at the ceiling.

"
She's really just a mean-spirited, angry little girl. She's always been that way; for the most part, all Maroon souls are pretty cold and indifferent when it comes to other people. Unfortunately, my step-sister is not much different from the rest of them." He let off a small sigh, an exhale of air that was harder than the typical variation. Shifting his body more toward Chantal's so that he was as close as he possibly could be without lying on the poor girl, he turned his head and presented a kiss to her face, right at the corner of her eye.

"Mollie doesn't even mean half the shit she says, just uses it to get a rise out of people. You have to learn how to really tolerate her. I don't know, I haven't really spoken to her in a couple years, so it's not like we'll have to deal with her much longer." He hoped, at least. After all, there was a reason Cameron stopped staying in contact, and that was because most of the time she was so damn rude.

"Either way, it'll all be fine, baby." He nuzzled his face into hers, closing his eyes. Cameron didn't think that he would ever be able to get to this point. A day ago, he figured that they would be dead before sunlight. Now the both of them were finally safe, for the time being, which rejuvenated Cameron's spirits to the max. Not the rest, however. He hadn't been perfectly good to go, yet.

"You little, brat." Mollies face frowned, "To my house." She paused, walking down the steps towards her. "How dare you." Her eyebrows narrowed and she scowled, raising a hand to hit her. A burning passion for hate now boiled inside of her chest. Her breathing was escalating and she was tired of looking at the girl. She clinched her teeth together and spoke. "You aren't worth the air you breath." Her hand came down full force, planning to hit the girl in the face. "If you dare set foot on the porch or in the house, I won't waste any more of my time killing you. I will strap you to a column and I will end you."

She took a step back after throwing her slap. Her chest was continually up and down up and down. "And here I was thinking we could be friends." Mollie ran her fingers through her hair, her left eye twitching. "You should probably disappear and never come back. Not like you seem to do much anyway. Stupid Bitch." She took another step back in case the girl decided she'd like to do something. "All because you could handle a little time away from mommy, huh. Just think and remind yourself of what you just did to everyone here."

James became bored, and walked over to the group of people. He saw the host trying to get a rise out of Katarina. He was not in the mood for this. "Hey! Pick on someone else, why don't you!" he yelled. He was going to defend his friends if it was the last thing he did. Why the hell did maroons always ruin this? James shook his head, turning towards her. And then he saw a helicopter with the SEP coming in fast. "Save it. Anybody got long range besides maybe me, so we can shoot the assholes who've tried to kill us all the time?!" James was tired of running all the time.

Ben nodded at james. "I can control from a good distance." She offered despite being worn and having her powers previously exhausted. She stepped up and looked to Kat. "Dont worry. Your problems are all of ours. Youve taken our crap befote and nobodies gonna blame you for worrying about the ones you love."

Katarina turned towards Julie and Ben and spoke, "I may have tried to contact my mom, to discover that the government was in my house and they tracked the phone." Out of all of the houses they could've been in, they picked Katarina's small apartment? She was also the least threatening one, Cameron, Julie, Ben and Lexi have been doing a lot of the fighting lately, but they picked Katarina's house to pick on the family. She sighed, looking back up to the sky and the forest around the house. The government wasn't here yet. Mollie started to speak to Katarina again. Katarina was trying to put together a witty remark in her head as Mollie was speaking to her, but one statement made Katarina lose all of her energy. "Just think and remind yourself of what you just did to everyone here." That statement repeated in her head, making guilt wash over the anger.

"Yeah, I'll just leave and never come back, as you suggested. I'm sorry for all of the inconveniences that I've caused." She said, running her hand through her red hair. She didn't acknowledge Ben's calm voice as she walked away into the forest. Katarina didn't want to be a burden to her friends anymore, plus she was also scared of being killed by Mollie. She decided in that moment, that she should leave the group alone. Her good times with this lovely group of people must come to an end, she doesn't want to put them in any more danger than they already are.

Julie decided to not say anything, intent to listening to the whole story first. Kat didn't seem to resist the assault so he assumed that she knew what she did was wrong. When she told him that she may had tracked the SEP to us, Julie kept his calm. He stopped her before she could leave, his hand firm on her shoulder, holding her back, "If they're anything like the past S.E.P soldiers, I don't think we have anything to worry. How many times have we had a run in with those guys these past days? They didn't stand a chance against us, so don't worry. We're too insignificant for the government to actually throw anyone dangerous at us to say the least." He assured her, giving a reasonable explanation to keep everyone calm.

"They will surely be the same.." ben offered ominously, watching her friend leave. Sge immediately followed after.. unsure if it was right but not willing to let kat get killed over this. "Wait! Kat please.. we need you with us."

"I'm going to try and shoot them," James said. He was remembering his fig with Agent. James remembered his last attempt... Maybe a bit of aiming would help. He used a bit of his power to point where his shot would go. Right at the bottom. He slowly aimed... They're in range now. Time seemed to slow down as the shot... Hit! But the heli was still going. Damn it. "Ben! I need you to hit the bottom, around where I hit," James yelled. "I need to aim for another shot!"

Katarina smiled at both Ben and Julie, her eyes still sad. Her face stung from the hard slap on the face and she just felt like a child. Slowly, she turned her body around and darted her eyes toward the ground. All she wanted to do was run away and never look back. She didn't care if her friends wanted her back, she didn't want to put them in more danger than she already has. Katarina just felt like she was a burden. This is the first time she's slipped up, yet she feels like she was the person in the group that slowed them down and brought danger wherever they went. Her energy had flushed out of her system, not willing to speak or do anything useful. She pulled her hand out and tried to make a fireball but she couldn't. Slumping to the ground, she hid behind her hair. Why won't they just let me leave? I've obviously been an inconvenience in the group, yet they still want me to stick around.

Mollie smiled, "Such a good little girl. Leave. Leave and never come back." She stuck out her turn then lifted her chin and stuck out her head, in a sassy manner. She scratched behind her ear and stared at the people trying to save her. "If any of you dare try helping her by bringing her things form inside, I won't stop myself from hurting you either." And with a cold tone she turned around and went back inside.

She practically skipped back down to her step-brothers room. "Cameron." She called, something joyful in her tone. She knocked on the door this time before opening it, "Cam, bro, one of your bitches are leaving." A smirk sat on her lips, she bit down on the bottom one. "I got tired of her bullshit and didn't feel like bloodshed on the lawn today." She flipped her hair with her free hand, "Besides, I look to damn hot to show off what I can do." She chuckled.

Julie raised his brow at the helicopters, with a simple gesture, he allowed a towering tree to grow from the ground. Its branches made quick work, entangling and engulfing the metal toys. He didn't even bother with the soldiers anymore, simply waiting for them to jump off with their parachutes before he let someone else lay the hurt on them. He looked over at Kat again, "Well, you shouldn't go off by yourself, despite whatever that girl said. Do you know how bad everyone would feel if you got yourself hurt? We have a lot of capable people here so please don't worry yourself."

Chantal made herself comfortable next to Cameron and listened to him as he spoke about his sister. Seeing how Mollie was a maroon soul, she suppose it was understandable about her outburst and all but it was still honestly uncalled for. She closed her eyes once a kiss was placed on the corner of her eye and just enjoyed being close to the one she loved, quietly sighing in content.

She smiled to herself when he called her baby, it had a nice ring to it especially when he said it though she was still doubtful about them being safe. Though, the doubtfulness temporarily washed away as the urge to sleep return as was about to succumb to it before she heard the door open once again and opened her eyes to see who it was. Mollie, of course.

Chantal rolled her eyes and groaned into Cameron's shoulder, already feeling it was going to be hard to just 'tolerate' his sister if she kept intruding them like so. After pouting a little, she sat up and put her hair into a ponytail while she listened to the maroon soul, trying to figure out who she could possibly be talking about.

Katarina slowly stood up with an indifferent mind. She's in that phase where she just doesn't care anymore. She doesn't feel happier with Julie and Ben's help, yet she doesn't feel anger and sadness anymore. Katarina will just help them defeat the S.E.P soldiers, then she'll leave while nobody is looking. "I'm sure not many people would care if I got hurt." Katarina said, with an awkward smile. It looks like all of the life got sucked out of her eyes. Suddenly making a fireball in her hand, she waited for the S.E.P to come down and attack them. Her mind was blank, just thinking about fighting. It was her way of coping with the influx of emotions, to block all of the emotions out and only thinking about the important things. She didn't pay attention to her aching face or the small pain in her chest as the fireball got bigger and bigger. Usually, they were pretty small as she was afraid to actually hurt someone with it. Katarina didn't care at the moment, she just wanted to get it over with.

"Stop being so stubborn Kat.", Julie yelled at her. He wasn't really in the mood for any bullshit today and hoped she would decide to open her eyes soon,"What the hell are you rambling about, a lot of people would care if you're hurt. Why are you acting all selfish all of a sudden?" He continued as he firmly grabbed her arm, not concerned with getting burn by the fireball,"We're your friends Kat, so why are you acting like we're strangers?" His feelings were seriously hurt when she said that, and he didn't know what he would do if she continued to behave like that. He thought she was being very foolish right now and wanted her to realize it too.

Katarina started laughing as the soldiers came down from the helicopter and started shooting us. Her laugh wasn't like her normal laugh, it sounded evil. She was getting ready to throw it as Julie started yelling at her. She paused for a moment and looked at Julie with a blank face. She knew she was acting selfish, she knew that some people would care, but she didn't want to come to that realization. Holding up the giant fireball, she threw it at the S.E.P soldiers and giggled. Katarina was acting very strange, she didn't know what had gotten into her. She very much liked this side of herself, as it blocks out all of her emotions. No emotions makes everything better. But, her indifferent stage was almost over and she blinked a few times, the twinkle back in her eyes. With all of the emotions flooding back, she got a headache. Katarina continued to fight off the S.E.P soldiers through the headache.

Something in Julie's words had brought her back. Katarina was out of her period of indifference and she smiled at Julie, sadness tinting her eyes. "I'm sorry," She said to both him and Ben. She didn't know whether or not to hit them again with some fire, or to just let the others finish them off. She still thought she was a big burden to the group, but she noted that they didn't really care. Every group needed an impulsive idiot. Katarina almost laughed at the thought, but she was glad she had trustworthy people in her group to help her out.

Her laugh creeped Julie out, honestly couldn't blame her for all the stressful situation they've been through though. He wanted to say one more thing but instead this time, returned a blank expression,"...I didn't actually think you would shoot a fireball when I'm right in front of you Kat." He took a moment as he stared at her speechlessly, then his burning shirt before actually starting to frantically pat the flames out and what worse was she was laughing awkwardly again. After a fruitless struggle, he ripped off his shirt and tossed the charred mess onto the ground,"Goddammit Kat, what the hell?" He asked, calmly brushing the soot off of his shoulders. The burns were too minor to get angry at for long. He took a peek at the soldiers, apparently no one told them about that there's a chance they'll encounter massive trees and fireballs so they all had ran off into the forest to god knows where. Such incompetent soldiers...

Katarina laughed at the soldiers, but this time it was her usual laugh. She suddenly pulled Julie in for a hug because who knows what she might've done if he hadn't snapped her out of it. When she let go, she frowned. What was she supposed to do now? Mollie obviously hated her, so she probably couldn't stay and shelter with the others. Katarina brushed her hand against her cheek and it stung a bit. That girl has some arm strength. "Sorry about your shirt," Katarina said, looking at the burnt item on the ground. "I'm sure there's more inside the house."

The small battle had energized her, lessening her broken, hurt feelings. What Mollie had said earlier was completely uncalled for, so Katarina had some trouble coping with the new type of mean that Mollie is. Maroon souls always fascinated Katarina though, just because of their 'I don't care' or 'I'm better than you' personalities and they're not afraid to kill anyone at anytime. They're the scary type of fascinating, as Katarina liked to call it. Looking to Julie, she mentally asked him if they should go inside.

Lexi stared between James and Valentina's retreating figure. "MHUP-VALENTINA!" She roared after the girl, red in the face she turned to James. "Ugh man I'm sorry! She just- um, thought I should talk to you, get to know each other, that sort of thing. Yeah.." Lexi trailed off, never feeling as much as a fool as she did now. I am going to get you back for that.., she mentally began to plot revenge before all the commotion began. She caught up to the group after they dealt with the majority of the trouble. Seeing as she wasn't needed and Kat was having a moment with Julie that Lexi didn't feel comfortable intruding. She decided to stay out here for awhile, keep an eye out if anymore SEP came along. She could practice her range of power out here.

Ben watched from a tree as some retreated probably taking a round about route as it seemed straightforward would be at their disadvantage. Watching Kat return to normal at least a little she smiled, then ran off without a word. She would protect the perimeter of the safe haven and make them think her group was fleeing to the east. Simple enough?

Julie gave Kat a comforting pat on that back as she hugged him,"What are friends are right...? er " he gave her a slight smile as her hands touched his burns. He chose not to let it bother him as he began to distract himself with other toughts. After she let go, he gave a sigh of relief,"Well, it's fine. These things happen." He gave a slight shrug, it was only a white shirt afterall. His eyes glanced at Ben running off, guess she was really eager to go on a run.

"I don't think you have to worry about her, Kat."
He still didn't know who that maroon soul girl was but he didn't really care. He entered the house by himself, going to get a new shirt and treat his burns. He'll decide to catch up with Ben later, but the back of his mind wonders if SEP were going to attack again. They're not that significant right? He doubted the government would waste any more resources on a bunch of kids, although they were kids who managed to foil all their attempts at arrest. Julie stopped giving it more thought, they'll just have to handle it when it comes.

(Yo, can't skype anymore. Piece of shit.)

Meanwhile, James aimed up for another shot... He was getting better at this, but it wasn't enough yet. He warmed up... And... Bingo. The heli spiraled down right in front of them. He reached inside, and realized it was full of electronics. Freaking drones. James turned to the rest. "So, now that we've destroyed everything from the SEP, what do we do now?"

Ben danced through the trees. Vines and branches pulling and breaking guns from fast retreating soldiers. She felt like she was winning. They were dropping, minorly injured and with broken weapons. No way were they returning too fast. Then, they were dispersed. She smiled with victory, excited to tell Kat they were safe, then started back.

The relatively tall male groaned while he passed by the trees and shrubs that surrounded him. The annoyance of the grass and trees were not due to the actual plants themselves but rather due to the injuries they seem to worsen with each slap or tap that the branches and twigs caused. "DAMN IT YOU STUPID SHRUBS" He shouted, his voice rather monotonous for his agitated yell. With several grunts and huffs, he eventually made his way out of the shrubbery. His purple hues narrowing while he glanced around the area. Everything seemed as it was the last time he came out to visit. The main difference was the company that were around the house of someone he knew well.

The male was standing at about Five feet and eleven inches. His skin was rather pale and held an unnatural complexion to it. His purple hair dangled over the bandages that covered his face. Easily allowing for someone to see his matching purple eye. This would clearly give away his abilities but he honestly didn't care what they thought about him. Also as if he wasn't wearing too much purple as it was, he had a purple jacket with a few gold trims. To complete his attire were the tons of bandages that covered his entire torso, and the black jeans that he had on.

Upon letting out a faint sigh, he glanced around, wondering whether she was here or not. "MOLLIE GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE" He said, waiting for her to come towards him as though he knew that she would be capable of recognising who it was. Once she would move to face him, he would motion closer towards her. "Where's my hug, and kiss?" He asked, opening his arms out to her, expecting her to give an old friend some love.

As she stood at the door, with a grin as wide as it could get. She heard a familiar voice, "Hmm." She scrunched her eyebrows. Was she hearing things like she sometimes did? Would she step outside to see her once lover, or would she ignore it and just go on with thinking about Kat. Her hand removed from the door knob and she stood confused for a moment. Tapping the bottom her heels by bouncing. Her conscious was in turmoil, she didn't want to seem any crazier than anyone already thought. She sighed for a moment and with a confused and turmoiled expression she moved back outside. Where she saw her once lover standing at the edge of the woods.

She tugged her dress down and smiled, she wasn't hearing things, unless she was hallucinating as well. She stared off into the distance, what the hell was he wearing. She walked towards him, strutting as sexy as she could in that tiny tight black dress and red heels. She responded to his question by hugging him and pressing her lips against his. She could feel endorphin's filling her head, "You dyed your hair? It looks awful, darling. So does that jacket. Maybe you should com inside and change into some old clothes." She gave him a smile, she always did have a weak spot for him, a guy she met while living alone. The only guy that made her feel like she didn't always have to be so uptight and rude. She leaned in for a hug, and pressed her lips against his ear, "I still hate you." She whispered, then took his hand in hers. Surely that was a site to see.
