Fantasy Soul Secrets

Intercom: Room 1-C, please go down to the gymnasium.

-

I am frozen stiff once I realize, that's our homeroom. Already? I start trembling, drawing circles on the palm of my hand, trying to calm myself down. All of the normal people are perfectly calm, I should stay calm to divert suspicion. Listening to the other's conversation calms me down, they're thinking of plans to get us out of this trance and get us safe.

I sit first in line for the checkups, waiting for everyone to come. I sit, kicking my feet back and forth. I was very calm and confident, and I'm not sure how the others were doing. I had a trick up my sleeve to get through this.

I begin to look at the door, waiting for everyone to start arriving. Im glad I came first, so I could be first in line.

Chantal heard the intercom call her homeroom down to the gymnasium and closed her eyes. So, this is it. She grabbed her book from the desk and held it close to her chest once again, standing up. She looked at the other male near her for a moment before heading out the door, towards the gym slowly.

Walking through the double doors of the gymnasium, she took note of another classmate already there and how confident they looked. Could they have something planned? Chantal looked back over her shoulder to see if anyone else was coming before making her way behind the other in line, nervously.

"Ah...just take one a wear a gauze, say you had an accident or something." He said handing over the one contact and some gauze as he placed the other contact back and a gauze on himself."Maybe we can say someone been throwing rogue paper airplanes." Julie started to line up with the others even though he didn't necessarily have to. He stood ahead, trying to see if maybe he can cause the inspector to temporarily sleep for the others to fake their inspection, a flower starting to sprout in his hand.

Alex got up and silently walked to the gymnasium. She walked through the double doors and got in line without saying a word. She was nervous...scared more than anything. She didn't wanna die without telling her family goodbye first.

"I...dont know.. i just want out. Its not like we can control what they see.. can we?" She watched and moved her handto lift up the dressing and help by working on more. "How will we get them in contact with it?"

She ties the gauze tight and head to the gym, heartbeat loud in her ears. She prayed that nobody end up dead and that she can see everybody again after this was over, please just let everyone survive this horrible day.

Honesty was meditating in his head, calming down. But as they announced his homeroom was first, it was blown away. He had to act calm now, something he was good at due to him being a blue soul. He got up, heading towards the gymnasium. He saw one of the girls from the class he was just in go towards the gym as well. Honesty knew that he had the homeroom with all the souls that were at lunch. He got in line, trying to stray a little bit farther. He noticed the girl, Alex? He panicked so badly that he completely ignored her at lunch.

"Well I was thinking of just pricking them, you can do things like this with your powers you know?" He had a thorn on his finger tip that would had cause anyone to start tripping if they were poked.

I hear the broad man call my name. I give a slight giggle "Wish me luck guys!" I say with a happy little girl voice, practically skipping to the curtain-hidden room. I was first, and I just wanted to get this over with.

Obviously, they could tell I was a Soul. But before the man can scream "SOUL!" for the SEP to drag me away, I stare into his eyes- and I use my power. I control his mind. He knows I'm not a Soul now. I have that planted in his mind. My maroon powers get deep within him as he begins to check my eyes with a flashlight. He says "All good" and tells me to grab the next person.

I walk out of the curtain, satisfied and giggling and laughing and looking at everyone in line who is scared. "You're next!" I say to the next person in line, and I skip to the corner of the gymnasium where the completed- people go. I had succeeded in my clever plan.

I arrive at the gymnasium and stand in the line a few people behind Honesty. I look around and hear the intercom call down the next class. I look at the S.E.P officer checking the people's eyes carefully, with a small flashlight. The officer looks a bit intimidating.

I hear Jane's name being called up and I look at her curiously, as she seems excited. Her eyes are completely exposed, yet she didn't get caught.

Perks of being a Maroon soul, huh?

Bens green eyes brightened to the point of glowing, a smile reforming. "Yes!" And she grew one super sharp, long and thin thorn. "Dont worry! Let me first and you will be okay." She said, moving to the front with eyes squinted and a timid smile. Her hair fell in front again, concealing for now.

Julie reluctantly let her go, she seemed oddly more experienced with drugged plants than he did. Not like he ever had to drug anybody in his life..."Good luck, I'l be right here if you run into any trouble.." He said calmly.

Valentina fidgeted, she hope Ben knows what's she doing cause these bandages are getting her more stares and a few glares and she was feeling more then a little scared.

Once his classroom was called, Travis started laughing quietly. " Hehehe, i'm finished." He said as he slowly to the gym. The boy looked oddly happy for someone who seems to be at death's door thanks to the S.E.P. He knew this and felt that he was starting to lose it. As he cheerfully hummed a tune, he hoped that at least they will let him say goodbye to his family, that's all that he wants at the moment. Hopefully, they will also let any other souls do it too.

"Looks like I won't be needing these anymore." He took off his glasses and swiftly threw it to the side into some lockers, they shattered into a bunch of pieces. His bright eyes were exposed as he entered the gym and stood in line to certain doom.

Alex moved up slightly in line as she neared the front. She adjusted her shirt and took a deep breath, calming herself. She listed her chin and looked around silently, seeing the same blue-eyed stranger a little ways behind her. Looking down, she turned her head forward once more.

Ben looked back and gave Julie one of the sweetest looks she has ever given, smiling back to make everyone feel at least a bit safe. "Alrighty!" She sang cheerily. She faked clumsy and she jogged up to the officer, bumping into him. as soon as she did, the plant was gone and he hissed. She made it a scratch, not a poke, for a reason. "Oh geez.. Im sorry! My fingernail and- sorry!" She feigned innocence with ease.

"It-ah.. its okay.. just show me your eyes." The effects were immediate and evident. She inhaled and showed her face. He was about to call out, but then he acquired a look of confusion.

"Sir, are you okay?"

"Yeah. I just thought for a second.. nevermind. Your clear. Next?" He seemed embarrassed.. and passed her bright green eyes, seeming faint and in a daze.

Julie gave her a nod of approval, a friendly smile as he went up. Of course everything went smoothly, the doctor was too dazed to make sure Julie had contacts on. "Hey that worked really well, how long are the effects?" He asked Ben, impressed if she knew.

Chantal watched the person in front of her be called over and nervously took a step forward. Oh god, I'm next, she thought to herself. She jumped as the officer yelled 'soul' and almost feared the worst, but suddenly his tone had changed and merely said all was good. She raised an eyebrow at the change but frowned as she was called next. She looked in back of her, noticing all of her classmates in line behind her and took a sharp breath before walking over to the officer.

Eyes still averted downward to avoid his gaze, she gripped the book more tightly to herself. "You gonna look up or what?" said the officer to her. Chantal bit her inner cheek before slowly looking up, pairing her gaze to the stern man in front of her. He grabbed her cheek fairly roughly, pulling her closer. With his index and thumb, he brought them to her right eye and stretched her lids more open, causing her to tear up instinctually. The wetness of the tears methodically caused her brown contact to fall out of her eye, showing her bright pink hue.

When she got to the front, Alex looked the man in the eyes, relieved to see her contacts the same color as his eyes. She smiled politely and said, "You have pretty eyes." He looked at her sternly without saying a word as he looked closer. Unable to see the lines of the contacts, she pushed her aside, "Next!"

The line continued to move forward. Anyone could tell if someone is wearing colored contacts. Scenarios play in my head, frightening me even more than I already was. I mentally say goodbye to my mother and my newly mad friends. I don't understand why they are so intimidated from us. Maroon souls, they're pretty scary, but the others? A bit harmless. I look over at Ben, which passed her test. I smile to myself. She made it. I'm a little ways from being checked, so I'm nervous. What happens when the plant wears off before I get up there?

She gasp as Ben got by ok, but how her mind wonder and would this for her. She move on up her place almost to the front, she gulp and hope for the best.

Ben chuckled. "An hour and a half to two.. enough time for him to drive home fine and it will not be detectable in his system. I hate doing it but there will be no permanent harm.." She said, happily. She looked at the other for a moment in thought. "Thanks.. Im not always good at staying calm.. but that was one thing I know well.. I wouldve forgot if you hadn't tried to help everyone."

Julie instantly noticed the girl who was being thoroughly inspected. When he saw her contacts start to fall out, he immediately ran over and slapped Chantal on her face, at the same time covering her eye. "@&*$" He faked anger before the officer held him back, at the moment Julie had pricked him in arm. The officer dazed let go of Julie, rubbing his head a bit before forgetting what just happened.
