Fantasy Soul Secrets

Ben nodded happily, waiting outside for him. She felt insecure about the area but helping Julie and the others was worth it. Out of the corner of her eye, she thought she saw something move. It put her on edge. "A-alright. Lets go."

"Do you want to come with us James?" Julie asked, seeing how uncomfortable he was and maybe a little older company would help. Honestly, it was best they all went as a group, splitting up was never a good idea even when it's in broad daytime."Hey, you guys should come with us to get supplies." he said in the room,"The more hands to carry the supplies, the more supplies obviously and well that's better? You know where I'm going with this."

The city was a fifteen minute walk from the house the souls were in. Within that city, there was a group of four souls who decided, just like the ones who were preparing to move south, to try and find an isolated place where they could be safe. There were four males, and one female. The leader of the group, whose name was Lucian, was a fire soul. Proud, energetic and ready, he led the group through countless amount of SEP soldiers himself. The second male, named Horatio, was a gray soul. Controlling the power of darkness, he barely spoke a word but packed a hard punch. The third male, Toya, was a water user, bubbly and kind while not much of a fighter. The female, Remy, was the best fighter of them all; using electricity at her whim to take out her enemies. All four had been hiding in an abandoned supermarket, living off of whatever was inside in the process.

"So, what's the ultimate goal?" Remy asked.

"We need to find that guy we saw in those videos. The long, gray haired man. I believe his cause was just, we should help him fight." Lucian was quick to answer the question, with a smile on his face.

"I'm sure they're somewhere close! They couldn't have gotten far." Toya responded, with a large smile. He was shoving a pastry down his throat as he spoke.

Horatio said nothing.

"Whatever the case is, we need to find them as soon as possible. Maybe convince them to help our families, too!" Lucian reminded the group that the reason they went out in the first place was to help find their families a safe group to move around with, as a resistance.

So far, the four had been living in the supermarket for a week, occasionally leaving to recon but finding nothing as a result. They had been trying to make plans to leave, but they were all afraid. Scared of what the outside had to offer, who was lurking, or what might happen. Today, it was Lucian and Toya's turn to recon, so they were preparing to move out.

Remy walked up to Lucian, placing a soft kiss on his lips. "You'll be home soon, right?"

"Of course. I promise." Lucian said after returning her kiss, placing his hands on her hips momentarily before beginning to head out the back door. Toya followed, just as planned, waving goodbye as they went. Upon walking outside, they would see a busy city. Why was the supermarket abandoned when there were so many people? Whatever the case, there were signs everywhere; no one bothered to look, so the group kept there. Walking into the city, the two were off. After a couple of hours searching for any sign or hint of a resistance group nearby, the two found nothing. So, being on the outskirts of the city, the two decided to go back to the supermarket. Little did the two know, while they were out doing their thing, they had picked up a follower on the way.

As Toya and Lucian made their way to the backdoor of the supermarket, V waited to make his presence known. However, it probably wasn't in the most conventional way. Lucian was about the enter the door, but stopped momentarily for a cigarette. He was chatting with Toya about some useless stuff, like what the best topping on the pizza was. V was on the rooftop of the supermarket, looking down at the two behind that helmet of his. His armor was fully issued by the government, but after his boost in powers as well as that armor was given, he abandoned any project they had planned to go solo. Since then, V had been doing whatever he wanted with no consequences.

"Seriously. Pepperoni is so overrated. What the hell is it even made out of!?" Lucian yelled back, seemingly frustrated by Toya's remarks.

V jumped down from the rooftop, toward the two.

Toya put a hand on his hip, closing his eyes and cocking his head back. "I'm telling you man, Ancho-..."

SHINK!

His feet landing on the ground behind Toya, V cocked his head back and let out a maniacal laugh, placing his hand on his forehead on the process. "EEEEEEH. EHAH. HAH. HAHAHAH. EUHAHAHAHA!" The faint gurgling of blood could be heard. Toya's body was still standing, but his neck was sliced completely off. The gurgling would be cut off by the falling of the head, which hit the grass, rolling a couple of feet past V. The body fell limp soon after, knees buckling and folding in a pool of his own blood. In response to the head rolling near his feet, the government-created soul cocked his right foot back and punted it as hard as he could, into the mass of forest. When he had finished kicking, following through with his motion, he even bent over and put his hand over his eyes to see how far it went. "FORE!" Then, he resumed laughing after turning back to face the fire soul.

Lucian let out a deafening yell, as well as releasing a blast of flame. The two inside, Remy and Horatio, heard the yell and came running outside. Remy came out the back door before Horatio, to quite the sight; V was holding Lucian up by the neck with his right hand, extended high into the air. Lucian was gasping for air, kicking and screaming, but soon went limp, especially after V crushed the bones in his neck. He dropped the body at his feet, kicking it over to the side a bit. Taking a moment to stare down at the body, he then turned to the two who had just walked out the door and ran straight at them.

Remy extended her sword in attempt to impale V through the stomach. This was to no avail, seeing as V performed a pretty graceful front flip over the woman. When he came around, though, he extended a leg into Horatio's stomach and pushed him through the door, breaking it off of it's hinges. Immediately after, he turned his body quickly while delivering a backwards roundhouse kick. The force of which broke all the ribs on Remy's right side, pushing her into the ground. Horatio came back out, shadow tendrils plucking away.

V dodged every single one of them by use of ducking, spinning and jumping in succession repetitively. When he got close enough, he delivered a hard, flying superman punch to Horatio's soloplex, drawing the air out of him. In response, the shadow tendrils faded. After that one punch, three more came in succession from V; a right straight into his nose, cracking it. A left into his neck, bashing his adam's apple. The next was another right, but a hook, which slammed Horatio's head into the wall, pushing his body against it in the process. The third punch, a left, was an uppercut to his chin. Then, V's right elbow slammed into Horatio's face from the side, breaking his nose in. The entire combination happened in about two seconds flat. V grasped the man by the back of his head as he leaned against the wall, woozy. He brought his head down, kneeing him in the face three more times with his right knee, before wrapping his entire arm around the man's head and flipping Horatio over his leg. With Horatio's back on the ground, V raised his foot up and smashed it into his face.

Again. And again. And again. He continued stomping on Horatio's face until it was a mush of brain, broken skeleton, skin, smashed, flattened eyeballs and blood. Remy looked on in horror, unable to move. After the final stomp, V's foot actually got caught in the mush. He had to put his hands on the wall and pull it out, leaving a disgusting, smushy sound as he lifted it up.
"F_cking disgusting... Now I need to clean this off."

Walking slowly over to Remy, V span his sword during his stroll. Remy was crying uncontrollably.

"Don't worry dear." V said in a soft tone, clicking his tongue. He lifted his foot up and used one of those gloved fingers to pull a piece of that Horatio-head-salad-mush from the bottom of his foot, before he kneeled over Remy and pressed the finger on her lips, smudging it in and even forcing his finger past her lips.

"It'll all be over soon."

And with that, V shoved his arm through the girl's throat, pulling out a bunch of her neck bones and that portion of her spine through her mouth.

Chantal felt a little uncomfortable as she took off her shirt in front of all the others but she couldn't stand being covered in dried blood and dirt anymore, plus it had been ripped in several places from earlier dilemmas, so overall, she felt relieved to be somewhat clean and neat. She took Cameron's offered hand and stood up with his help. She knew he was ready to go fetch supplies with the others so they could get back on the move to somewhere more appropriate and safe.

She moved closer to give him another quick kiss on the cheek, leaving her lips to linger and graze on his skin as she merely whispered, “Be safe.”, and backed away to turn and walk away towards the window she previously jumped out of the prior night. She threw her bloodied shirt in the corner, seeing how she wouldn't be needing it again, and took a sit on the windowsill.

"You know it." Watching her walk away, Cameron turned his head from Chantal before looking back at Julie. "We shouldn't take everyone, that's endangering too many people. Let's grab another one or two and head out." He was sincere about his request, and he hoped Julie would listen to his reasoning with it. Cameron rolled his shoulders back, as well as rolling his neck around in a circle in attempts to stretch himself out. Sitting up against a wall all night hadn't done his posture any good, that was for sure.

He was still waiting patiently to leave, the thirst for a cigarette, and/or a blunt overweighing his conscious. This was the motions of an addict, kicking their candy to the curb cold. Regardless of how much he wanted, the simple fact was he didn't have the means. His cigarette pack was all ready gone, all of them smoked. His weed bag was empty, all of his leafy green smoked. And on top of it all, he had no desire to go back on his goal.

James smiled. "Whatever helps us get out of here faster. There are some inner demons for me in this town..." He remembered his parents death, and cringed. Damn it! It's been 3 years and he hadn't forgotten the night yet. A man named V showed up at his parents house and they died while he hid... (Thanks in advance Braxnond) James had nothing here anymore, the bastards had burned it to the ground. "This is where I lived for 12 years, then I moved away..." James did not want to bring it up, otherwise he might get flashbacks.

(NO MORE WRITERS BLOCK! :D )

"I am coming though.." Ben said hoping to watch after the small pair. Strong as they were, she wanted to be sure and protect.

You could really argue both ways about it, but because Julie didn't like to think for extended period of time he resigned,"Yeah, we'll see if anything happened." So far the only ones in the group were James, Cameron, Ben and him which would be sufficient. He didn't mind, he has trust in his friends to handle themselves."I think I saw some store signs down in this direction" Julie said moving forward.

James just started walking. "Come on! " he said. "What are you waiting for?" He started following Julie. Hmm... There wasn't much to do besides talk and stuff. But James would wait. He was suspicious of the fact V let him live, but at least he was alive, if only for a short time... Life was going to be fast and bright for him, and he was going to take opportunities when they came.

Cameron let out a small sigh, following along as the member of the group who was traveling at their flank. He loved groups! Most of the time, anyway. James seemed a little overzealous, but Cameron was all four the enthusiasm; he embraced the willingness to act, after all. The only thing was, Cameron didn't show it. Rather, he kept his mouth shut and continued following, just as planned.

Meanwhile, V had been inside the supermarket. He was not doing anything in particular; as a matter of fact, he was just sitting on the counter of the bakery, flicking a yo-yo up and down in succession. Each time it rose, he let out a particularly loud, obnoxious chuckle, which turned into an angered groan when it descended. His feet swung around just above the ground, even though he was tall enough for them to just stay planted there.

Katarina paced around the house again, looking for anything else she could use. Some of the group have gone out looking for supplies and she felt exceedingly bored. Katarina lit one of the candles she found and slowly crept into the room with the dead bodies, trying to refrain from looking at them sprawled on the floor. In a bookshelf, she found something that reflected the light when she put the candle near it. She pulls it out of the bookshelf and it's a box with letters and numbers on it, in kind of like a rainbow form.

An Ouija board.

The thought gave Katarina chills. She walked it back out into the main room where everyone was gathering. "Do you want to play this?" She says, her voice wavering. Katarina wanted to play with it and talk to the ghosts, but obviously she was scared.

Valentina had seen enough scary stuff to last a lifetime but when Kararina brought down a wiij board, she shrugs the gods must want her to be freak out forever so why not. "Sure I'll play."

Honesty had sat himself on one of the torn, rattled couch was just minding his own business. He had previously taken out some food out his book bag and being lazy. His eyes seemed unusually duller then normal, sprawled out and his normal happy smile was long wiped off his face. He hasn't said anything in a while, and he felt like he wasn't going to for a long while. His face was sullen, but like a sexy but annoying antagonist type of sullen. Suddenly, his fiery friend Kat came out with what seemed to be a ouija board. Honesty's blue blood chilled for a moment, and he perked up as Tina agreement to playing.

"Hell no! Don't mess with ouija boards!"

Not today Satan.

Katarina smiled at Valentina, but it quickly turned into a frown. "Why not? They're not that bad if you follow all the rules." She quickly said, still scared about the ouija board, but determined to play. Katarina sits down in the middle of the floor and places the box down in front of her, slowly taking off the cover. "We'll be alright, Honesty. I promise." Katarina said, with a mischievous smile on her face. She was almost completely confident about playing with the board, it was like something suddenly came over her.

Travis was busy drawing some landscape in his sketch book to pass the time. Some of the others have left for a supply run and probably won't be back for a little while. Suddenly heard someone asking to play something, followed by Tina agreeing and the Blue Soul of the group proclaming his opposition of the "Ouija Board". " What's a Ouiji's? Board?" He asked the redhead.

She nods "yeah Honesty we'll be fine." She moves and sit infront of the board, she had another bad feeling but whatever it was probably just hungry or something. She stared at the board,it real life this thing looked harmless and kind of cool and she didn't really think anything supernatural was going to happen

Honesty sighed, shaking his head. They'll learn... He thought with an annoyed expression. Hopefully nothing crazy happens.

"An Ouija board is just something that connects the human world to the spirit world. Well, that's what I like to think it is." Katarina says calmly. She sets her candle next to the board and sighs. "Alright, first things first. Put one or two fingers on this wooden piece, very lightly. You don't want to be moving it yourself. Never take your fingers off of the wooden piece before saying goodbye. No matter what. I will ask questions and we will hopefully get answers. If the wooden piece starts doing "figure eights," or counting down from Z to A, or counting down from 9 to 0, we will have to end the seance by moving to goodbye. That mean that the ghosts are trying to escape the board," Katarina said, her voice still very confident. "But, most likely that won't happen. Is everyone ready?"

Chantal remained at the windowsill, sitting with her legs crossed and stared out the window, still wondering what figures she saw out there last night. She could've sworn one of them resembled her father and the thought of it sent chills throughout her body. If it was him, why would he be all the way out in this ghost of a town? What would he be up to around here?

She shook her head, changing the direction of her thoughts and wondered if Cameron and the others were alright on their quest. Knowing the group he went with, he'd undoubtedly be bored. Smiling to herself, she opened a telepathic link between them once again. “Hey you. Just thought you could use some actual company.” she joked.

"..So we will be able to speak with ghosts?" Travis asked when he heard of the Ouija Board's purpose, that is what she meant by spirit world, right? He now understood what the other guy was concerned about, but talking to a spirit didn't seem like a dangerous thing. Talking was good, it solved problems. " Kinda weird, but I'll do it!" He closed his sketch book and crawled to where the board was.

" So like this right?" He said as he lightly put a finger on it. Who will they speak with? Hopefully it will be a friendly spirit.

"Yes, exactly. The ghosts will be spelling out words, while we can take turns asking questions." Katarina responds, also lightly putting her finger on the wooden piece. She has read stories all about Ouija boards, but surely she will meet friendly spirits. If it ends up being the little girl, she had cyan eyes, not evil eyes like a maroon's. She patiently waits for Valentina, as they all have to stay quiet and calm in contact with the board.

"Honesty, are you joining us?" Katarina asked, secretly hoping he would. She was beginning to get a bit scared, remembering all the Ouija board stories she has read. He would make her feel safe.

Honesty thinned his lips somewhat, his head tilting to the side as he let an inaudible sigh run through his body, his bones, his veins and out his mouth. This was the deepest sigh he's let out in a while. Listening to the words coming out of his fire wielding friend's mouth, he bent his toned arm to raise his hands, fingers seeking the nape of his neck. As they clasped their newly found target, he rubbed the nape forwards and backwards, a sign of stress, or mostly likely in this case, uncertainty. A connection between the human world and a spirit world, ouija boards are seriously not a object to play or toy with. His brother has made this fairly clear to him, coming from a male who dared to move the wooden triangle once. The neon eyed male let his eyes fall to his lap, his other hands trembling only once and only slightly as his fingers shifted his hand into a tightly wound fist. First things first, huh. His mind echoing the words of his partner, the one who apparently could not swim. It seemed that Katarina wasn't a first timer or just some new comer to the satanic board [lmao]. He wasn't sure about this, feeling a warm imaginary bead of sweat go down his left cheek from the musky and warm shack they resided in, away from the forces that lusted to kill them so they wouldn't be overpowered in near future. Bugs crawled and dust gathered as he got lost in the depths of his mind.

Honesty let his eyes volley back up, allowing himself to break from his mental trance he was clearly strolling into. His eyes scanned over to a rather quiet Chantal, a pink eyed soul that seemed to have her mind elsewhere. Pink souls were all about mental approaches, so it was not and should not be a surprise to any other soul. Though, his feelings slightly ease as a smile curled at her lips. His eyes fell once more, not coming back to the trio crowding and kneeling about the ouija board, hearing a male voice- one of the males he has not introduced to himself yet make an inquiry that was rather obvious. Yes, of course you'd be able to speak to ghosts through an ouija board, Katarina just clarified that it was a connection... A link between the human world, and the slightly ominous spirit world. His eyelids closed over his glowing pupils as he took a strange amused source in the tone of the ecstatic voice. 'Kind weird, but I'll do it!' Maybe Honesty was just taking that for something else instead of just amusement. Never assume things solely by a creatures voice, they can say one thing and mean the next, if interpreted at all. There was a chance that they could encounter a friendly or good spirit when they begin the satan ritual [im sorry], but do not let it slip your mind, there's a chance they could get an sadistic, evil spirit. It was better not to risk at all really. Oh yes, if anything happens to them, to these other four or even him. Certain guilt would take place for sure. Be it him becoming affected or even hurt, or them.

Hearing the sweet voice of a fire wielder clarify that the male voice was, yes, 'doing it right' in regards to positioning himself to move the wooden piece correctly. His mind wavered and roamed, and wavered some more. Skipping topics, staying on topics, visions, beliefs, and possible scenarios of playing with his board. He took the time and care to abruptly shove any bad endings out of his mind. By following his brother's advice, he didn't ever touch an ouija board or get near one, so he wasn't sure how to deal with one. No experience, zero. Hell, until now. He leaned his head up a bit, his hard hand that was a fist in his lap had already returning into a hand, his finger tips slanted every so slightly. Honesty's other hand dropped, making eye contact with the red soul. His eyes held ocean's, and those oceans were full of absolute worry. One part of him wanted to play this little bit off as a 'alright okay, alright i'll do it', but another part wanted to deny and firmly believe that they should discontinue interacting with this type of game. A little voice in his mind that was unwillingly to be remembered, a voice that almost has no substance or any type of voice activated an actual thought. To his slight, unsure dismay, it may have been too late to tear them away from the ouija board. Honesty didn't know how they worked, but he had a feeling that he couldn't just pick it up and throw it back to where ever it came from. They've already, in the mere seconds, had trapped themselves within a possibly fatal situation. So if anything. He would be forced to play along until the very end.

Honesty thought this over at a quicker pace, quicker than most decision- No. He immediately slowed himself, his pace to a stop. Always think through things with a clear and steady mind. He gave a calming gaze at Katarina, momentarily bringing her into his world of calm swaying seas. as he thought, his eyelids lowering to give a look of content regardless of his mind under attack in an almost violent flurry. He disapproved of the saying of just 'eff it, lets just go with it already'. He was like in a room of options, but each option that beat out the others, manage to seem clear or reasonable to him, what his default mode would choose in a heartbeat.... Would be battered by the sole reason that it was already too late. Honesty let his lips relax as he silently got up, strolling over and letting a calm aura wash over him as he crouched down and sat right next to Katarina. He was not sure, again, he was no pink soul. But he felt that she needed him in some way. Her eyes just managed to say that, directly to him and no one else. Honesty didn't want to say anything, forcing his face into a small smile directly at her to let her know the answer was a silent yes. If he said something, he might discourage her, making her think that he wasn't partaking in their little game with gambling.

Honesty sat next to Katarina and gave her a small smile that made her whole body heat up all at once. She instantly felt relieved and more confident than ever. As everyone's hands were gently placed on the board, Katarina drew in a deep breath. She was ready for this. "Hello?" She paused. "Is anyone there?" Katarina patiently waited for a response from any spirit in the room. After waiting for a long while, she opened her mouth again. "Hello? Is there anyone here that would like to talk to us?" She was afraid that the Ouija board wouldn't work. Suddenly, a pulse runs through Katarina as the wooden triangle slightly moves to the 'yes' spot on the board.

"Are you evil?" Katarina asked quietly, staring at the board anticipating the answer. The wooden triangle moved away, then moved back to the 'yes'. This sent shivers through her spine and she was sure goosebumps were showing all over her frigid body.

"What's your name?" She continued on, thinking it was a bad idea to keep going. She hoped the others were calm. Evil spirits will pick on the weakest one. The wooden triangle moves again. First to an E, then to an M, circled around the M once again, and rested on an A. Katarina wanted to ask two last questions before letting the others take their turn.

"How old are you?" Katarina said, her calmness wavering. The wooden triangle moved to a 9, which made perfect sense. The girl in the locket looked about 9. But the piece kept moving. Down to an 8. Then a 7, then a 6. Katarina suddenly panicked. It was counting down, it was going to be let out of the board! She tried to calm herself down to move the piece to the 'Goodbye', but Katarina took her hand off and screamed as loud as she could. She let out the evil spirit. She didn't follow her own rule, to never let go of the piece no matter what. She immediately broke down and started crying, knowing there was an evil spirit in the room, because of her.

Honesty felt his physique tensed as she began to talk or converse with a spirit. He kept quiet, listening very intently. He wasn't sure what to do, or even if he was supposed to say something, but he made sure he kept very very quiet... But as soon as the spirit replied that it was evil, he felt and saw the shivering Katarina developed. He thickly swallowed, keeping his hands free and his breathing steady. He was scared, yes. Fearful of this 'Emma.'

Honesty watched at the 9 year old responded-- No, 8 year old-- 7 year old... 6--... Sh-t, what was it doing? Katarina however, shrieked and let go of the piece. He looked at him, confused, but felt the atmosphere immediately fill with foreboding aura. Seeing as she started to cry, he was more worried for her than what ever happened for a moment and immediately hugged her. "Hey, what happened?" He asked in a stern tone, more hard then sympathetic or soft. "What did you do?" He asked more harshly, holding her tightly but the shoulders.

"I let Emma out," Katarina sharply whispered as she sat, trying to snuggle deeper into Honesty's arms. She then felt a sudden pain on her arms, legs and stomach. She started screaming again, but instead of fear filling the air, it's pain. "You'd better get away from him, he's next." Katarina heard a demonic whisper. She looked up into Honesty's eyes as the pain suddenly lightened. Katarina got up and slowly backed away from Honesty with a terrified look in her eyes. The crimson blood from her newly acquired scratches and bites dripped onto the floor, leaving a pitter patter noise effect as the room was now silent.

"H-Honesty..." Katarina stuttered, wincing in pain every time she moved a muscle.
