"I'm going to be the best partner I can, and No One's going to stop me~!"

Where: Death City, Stein's lab

With: Stein & Allison

Thoughts: Does she not want to be human...?

War just listened to what Allison said as he looked down at the tea. He couldn’t help but feel sad for some reason for her as she seemed to repeat one word over and over again. Human. War looked at her with a sad look. “So you don’t want to be human ever again?” He asked her. He pretty much knew the answer however with how she was talking.

War turned his attention back to Stein as he congratulated him pretty must for finally finding a partner. War nodded about the tea, not worrying too much about it now as what Allison was talking about was going through his head. A shiver went down his spine taking his mind off such thoughts as he heard Stein chuckle. He looked up at the doctor with worry full eyes. ‘What is he thinking…? What is that look for…?’ He thought worrying again about where he was again. When The doctor assured him about the tea, War couldn’t help but be more on edge about it.

@Stamper @SilverSolis @Genon @Kishune (Sorry for the late reply guys x.x I was swamped with school work stuffs.)

Allison turned to Dr. Stein. "Yeah, I suppose we should do that," she said, getting up and walking into the operating room.

Elam felt Aiko let go of his hand, and glanced down at it in surprise; he hadn't even noticed Aiko had grabbed onto him in the first place. Instead of embarrassment, however, Elam only felt curious; whether his attention was focused elsewhere or not, he should have felt something when Aiko held his hand. Have I already grown that used to her being around? There's no way, it's only been a few days.

After glancing back up and awkwardly glancing back and forth between Aiko and the other girl, he let out a cough to break the silence. "I don't mean to be rude, but we actually are kind of busy," Elam said, glancing to Aiko. "We've been given a mission, remember? Only got a little time to prepare before we need to start. We should probably get going." Elam shuffled slightly to the side to get around the other girl, then took a few slow steps forward before turning back. "Sorry, but if you have any question we'll have to answer them another time."

@Chara Angel of Death

Not knowing what to make of the girl standing in front of her, Aiko continued smiling warmly, awaiting her response. When no response came, Elam coughed next to her, seemingly trying to break the silence encompassing them. She flicked her cloudy gaze over to his, listening to him speak before nodding slowly in agreement.

"That's true. We really should get going." Aiko murmured while taking a quick moment to glance up at the sky, noticing the sleeping sun had sunken considerably, and was just barely touching the horizon now. The sky was a bright orange, which she admired with a small smile, before refocusing her attention back to the present moment. Aiko followed after Elam, stepping around the girl and flashing her a small wave and bright smile.

"I hope we run into you again soon! I'm Aiko by the way!" She called back to the girl as they continued walking further away. Aiko flashed her one last smile before swiveling her head to look in front of her, peering down the thousands of steps that led into Death City. She let out a sigh, feeling her stomach begin grumbling.

"Looks like it's getting too late for lunch." She murmured softly, looking a bit disappointed for a moment. And then her expression suddenly lit up, and Aiko smirked playfully towards Elam, her white eyes shimmering.

"I'll race ya." Aiko whispered to him, suddenly bolting down the stairs at an unbelievable speed without warning. She burst into laughter as she ran, a happy expression on her face.

"If I win, you have to help me cook dinner!" Aiko yelled loudly back at him, her white hair flying in the wind wildly. Soon enough, she could see the last step at the bottom of the staircase, and her speed only increased upon seeing it. Finally reaching the last step, Aiko stood at the bottom with her hands on her hips, smiling happily towards Elam who was straggling behind a bit.

"Looks like your helping me cook tonight." She laughed softly, tilting her head to the side with a gentle smile on her face. By the time their little race was over, the sun had officially disappeared behind the horizon, and the sky began to turn a darker shade of blue, revealing a few lingerings stars that had been hidden by daylight.

Dante nodded his head. "Yeah... Most likely, the zombies are going to try and go straight for the people. We'll just let them come to us, then kick some ass, take some names, and head home like the awesome team we are" Dante smiled down at her as the two folllowed after the survivors. They barricaded themselves inside, leaving Kurumi and Dante outside alone as the sun slowly set on the horizon.

"well, I suppose we better get our game face on" he smiled at her as his body glowed, the glow covering her body before he manifested himself as the familiar armor that kept her safe and allowed her to fight so perfectly that Death the Kid himself was awestruck.

As the last lights of the day faded to be replaced by night, groans could be heard in the distance, steadily growing closer. There's no doubt about it, tonight was going to be one hell of a Thriller Thriller.

..... Really? His estate isn't going to let us get away with that? IT'S A PERFECT SETUP!!!! Hold up, put them on the phone. Right meow!

....Yes, right meow..

What part of right meow do you not comprehend?!

Oh... the meowing... hey, it worked for
Super Troopers. OH NO YOU DIDN'T!! I KNOW THOSE BASTARDS DIDN'T JUST TRY TO CENSOR ME NOW!

Oh? Okay so we're cool to do the Thriller thing as long as we throw a couple more homages to MJ in here somewhere? Yeah, we can do that.

Now... If you'll excuse me, a certain Merc with a Mouth needs to give a few lawyers a piece of his mind.....

DR FRANKEN STEIN

"Oh dear. That was rather harsh of you wasn't it, Meister Allison?" Dr Stein mused after letting Allison walk in first and closing the door. Now comes the... fun part. Dr Stein went around back to gather the instruments he needed to work on his little creation of his.

"You know the drill, Allison. Just lie down on the table and I'll be there shortly," Stein said in a soft tone as he checked to make sure his instruments are clean. Allison may be mostly machine but his tools must be clean and sterile. Contamination is a large danger that is mostly absent in this operation but it never pays badly to be.... through. Not to mention that blood tends to make scalpels dull if not cleaned immediately. Of course he could just use the disposable blades but that makes it.... Uninteresting.

"About the clasps, Allison." He suddenly said as he prepped for the operation. "I'm rethinking about using claps. They seem a little impractical in combat situations, as demonstrated earlier. So I'm thinking of going back to my old idea." He smiled a rather... unhinged smile as he held up a mask made out of a fake, skin-like material. It was identical to Allison's previous face only it seems more like Stein has sliced that off some poor girl's face,
Leatherface style. And it seems that I can't make that reference, how tragic.

"I'm just going to my older plan when I first made you. I'll just sew this mask onto your face with some kevlar fibers. That should eliminate the problem of the clasps all together no?" He finished off with yet another smile.

@Kishune @Genon

"Wha- Aiko!" Elam said in complaint as she took off running down the stairs. He stared after her for a second before letting out an exasperated--though not necessarily unhappy--sigh. Well, at least she's cheerful. I could think of some worse attitudes to be partnered with. Elam dashed down the stairs after Aiko, not moving nearly as fast.

Once he finally reached the bottom, Elam stopped a few steps from Aiko, hands on his knees. "That...that was rigged and you know it," He said between breaths. "At least...gimme a bit of warning next time."

Another few breaths and Elam stood up straight once more, looking at Aiko. "But fine, I'll help you cook. That way I can make sure it's not completely sludge," he teased, one eyebrow raised. That's odd. I don't recall ever teasing someone like that. Maybe I've just never noticed before. "We'll have to make it quick, though. Doesn't look like we have much time left before we're supposed to go monster hunting."

Elam glanced about briefly before glancing back at Aiko, looking lost. "So, uh...Where is your place, anyway?"

@The Velveteen Rabbit

"Awe, but it's no fun that way."

Aiko pouted softly, twisting her face into an innocent expression. Unable to keep a straight face, a smile spread across her lips and she began laughing. Little by little, Aiko felt Elam begin opening up to her. Compared to what he was like when they first met, he seemed like an entirely different person now, and she wondered what it was that caused him to change so quickly.

"But fine, I'll help you cook,"

Aiko heard Elam begin, a satisfied look on her face as she nodded in agreement excitedly.

"That way I can make sure it's not completely sludge."

She nodded again, obviously hearing him wrong. Aiko stood like that for a few seconds, until her brain finally registered his words. Her satisfied expression vanished, and she took a double-take, her mouth agape.

"S-Sludge?" Aiko exclaimed, looking completely bewildered. She arched an eyebrow and placed her hands on her hips, closing the gap between them and pushing her face close to his.

"I'll have you know I'm actually a very good cook." She pretended to boast, suddenly pulling herself away and crossing her arms over her chest while faking an offended attitude. Aiko's expression began to falter, however, and she bit her lip as an amused smile appeared on her face, unable to contain it any longer. She flashed him a teasing look, before swiveling her cloudy gaze away and looking ahead.

"My apartment is about seven blocks away from here. We just have to follow this road and we'll be there in no time." Aiko motioned for him to follow her, a warm smile on her face as she began walking down the sidewalk, passing underneath a streetlight illuminating the pavement.

Silently, Nocturne listened to the boy in front of her, his words and actions intriguing her yet causing malice in her dark heart. Despite the boiling emotions she felt, she managed to maintain a calm expression, and simply listened to the boy with a curious look on her sharp features. When he began speaking about the Kishin war and a 'particular' witch, Nocturne felt adrenaline rush through her veins while silently recalling distant memories. Even mentioning Medusa was enough to make her lose her composure. The two had been close, a little too close. But Nocturne despised her, for she was weak.

"Yes, well, such experiences can cause those types of reactions. I'm not surprised you feel that way, Santeru." Nocturne told him kindly, a small smile spreading across her lips. She continued smiling, even as he spoke.

"I am a nurse after all. It is my job to help students and others, no matter the case." She explained to him, hoping to ease his curiosity. A challenge glinted in his gaze, and although she noticed it, Nocturne did not acknowledge it. Her crimson gaze flicked over to the window, where she saw the sky had darkened significantly as it became nighttime. Her skin began to prickle with a sadistic excitement.

"Oh my, is it really that late already?" Nocturne exclaimed, glancing over at the clock and rising from her seated position. She looked back over at Santeru with another smile.

"It's getting quite late, Santeru. I'm afraid our conversation will have to continue tomorrow."

Beginning to gather her things, Nocturne made her way towards the door, glancing back at him and smiling warmly.

"If you ever need anything, or someone to talk to, just ask. I'll be here."

Lies.

Nocturne waved goodbye before exiting the infirmary, and headed towards the main entrance. She walked and walked through the deserted hallways, her head hung low and hair partially hiding her eyes. And then, a vicious smile suddenly formed across her face, and the pupils inside Nocturne's eyes became slits, similar to that of a cat.

Now that that's over, it's time to focus on more important things.

Nocturne stepped out in front of the school, looking up at the sky and watching the moon rise.

Soon, Kirnon.

Soon...

With a satisfied smile he acknowledged her desire to leave and let the conversation fall flat for now, a less than enthusiastic wave is what he gave her as she left. Just for a moment he felt light headed sucking in a deep breath his hand catching the bed to steady himself regaining his footing an exasperated sigh left him followed by a light chuckle. "This much stress can't be good for me."

Straightening up and adjusting his sleeves Santeru left the infirmary passing by the occasional straggling teacher or student that had stayed for lessons, the metallic iron taste of blood lingered in his mouth from where he bit the inside of his cheek. Making his way outside the moon had taken to the sky and was rising from it's slumber it's glow leaving a glint in his eye.

Santeru arrived home announcing his presence as noticed more than his father's soul inside, taking off his shoes he strolled down the hall taking a series of turns before ending up in the door way of his father's operating room. "Good evening." his calm and amused tone was evident.

War sat there and listened to Allison’s reply back to his statement and tightly gripped his pants leg as he listened. When she said she was no different from him, War was tempted to tell her exactly. To War and being a weapon, He was always split on thinking he was human or just a tool for killing. Demon weapons weren’t always accepted into society due to their inhuman abilities, and were discriminated against. War’s family knows this well enough as his was the first clan of weapons to form since the beginning of the creation of the demon weapons. They had to rely on other clans to protect them and escape such actions, but for his family it just worsened the weapon’s reputation even more…but that’s for another time. So to War, learning about weapon history and his families…He couldn’t accept being human or a weapon at the same time.

War continued to listen as she went on, and started to grit his teeth as he did. To War, being human was to having such flaws such as weakness, unreliable memory, and the inability to multitask. Those were some the things he at least held on to to keep in mind that he was somewhat human in his mind. But the way she was saying it was like it seemed so casual for her to say, making her sound like she wants to lose what makes her human. It was how one acts, and believes along with flaws that make a being a human, not physical appearances.

War couldn’t take it no more. His problems being taken and given a conclusion of being one over the other, a human or a tool, so simply. War stood up. “
You know just forget it…” He told her. “Do what you want…It’s your life do as you please.” He told her as he didn’t look at her and just headed out the door with his hands in his pockets. He didn’t know what else to say to where they don’t end up in a huge fight; especially before their first mission together.

Angel

Angel tried to smother a smile when Chloe hissed at her, putting her hand over her mouth to cover her curling lips. At that particular moment it wasn't too difficult to imagine the girl with two fluffy cat ears and a tail to match. Cat people! What a silly thought... No, nothing like that made sense in a world like theirs. With witches and people that turned into weapons? Not a chance.

At the mention of "important business", Angel cocked her head to the side curiously, like a confused dog might, but didn't ask anything at first. Important business? Where were they going? Did Connor have errands to run? She quickly caught up with him and matched his pace once she was beside him.

For a few moments, she inspected his face for any sort of visual clues. When Angel found nothing out of the ordinary, she decided there was only one more logical solution to the dilemma: ask him. It was a bit silly that it was her last option but often times it was easier to not say anything at all. At least, it was what she was used to anyway.

"Where are we going?" Angel asked him, a bit of curiosity in her voice as she peered over at him.

@Wandering Hollow

Kurumi

"Sounds good, partner!"

Kurumi raised her fist in determination and giggled in delight. The biggest confidence boost came from Dante's confidence. It was more or less, if Dante believed they would do well, then so did she. Where he went, she followed. It was an easy enough role she had found she could slip into and didn't mind it here. Well, actually... follow isn't a good word to describe it since Dante tended to carry her around a lot more than she walked with him. It was sort of silly but she liked it all the same.

When the groans were heard in the distance, she scanned the area for the creatures, and got into a semi defensive stance. Kurumi couldn't help but jokingly wonder if the zombies all had chest colds or if they always sounded like that. She was certain if a normal person tried to make a sound like that, it would tear up their throat and they would need to take medicine. Wouldn't it be an endless cycle then? Do the zombies sound sick because they made the noise or are the noises because they were sick all along? Who knew?

No! Now wasn't exactly the time for dumb distractions like that. Kurumi lightly shook her head as if to dispel the pointless thoughts and waited for the possibly lung infected zombies to make their first move.

@One Mean Ghost

CONNOR BRANWEN

Connor continued walking along as he thought back to his "supplementary lessons" with his Aunt Audrey. A Weapon is more then just a weapon. He or she is a Partner. You must work as a pair. That's what makes it different and why you can twirl my weapon form better then Chloe despite her heh... "Skill" with a broom handle. Connor smiled slightly as he heard Angel ask her question.

"We, are going to do something important. Something that can mean life and death if not done ...." Connor closed his eyes for a moment. "Thanks to my dearest Sister, all the eggs we had were used up during breakfast." He let that line sink in for a bit before chuckling.

"I'm just kidding. That's what I'm doing later. What we're really doing..." Connor said as he placed his hand on the front door of the Academy and pushed it open. "Is testing out our true connection as Meister and Weapon by doing some "solo" Weapons practice. You know? Like in those kung-fu movies?"

@Stamper (@Anyone near the front door)

CHLOE BRANWEN

"Hm.... What are those two doing...?" Chloe asked herself as she watched Connor and Angel leave. "Hey Silver, let's shadow them. I'm feeling cuuuurious~"

Chloe didn't even give the silver-haired Meister a chance to reply before she grabbed his hand and started trailing her Brother and Angel. Her breathing was calm and slow while her footfalls were carefully controlled so as to make as little noise as possible. She also made use of the crowds, ducking in-between groups of students making their way around school while keeping her Brother within view. What is he doing? Is he going for a walk with her and is just using that "business" thing as an excuse? Wha-? They're going outside?

"C'mon Silver," Chloe said in a hushed tone as she quietly slipped to a corner and peeked at her Brother and Angel. How interesting~

@SilverSolis

Angel

The anticipation was enough and when Connor finally told her, she couldn't help buy physically deflate a little. Eggs? Why was she disappointed with that answer? It was strange and the unknown origin of the feeling only served to frustrate her. Purchasing eggs was fine. What else was she expecting? Well, she could think of one thing, but that one thing was also something Angel was dreading very much.

And speaking of that one thing... Connor said they were doing that instead. Oh no, here comes the panic and dread. What if they didn't match up so well? Angel couldn't think of a worse thing to happen in the recent expanse of time. Just when she thought she had found someone to accept her... only to have him ripped away by a cruel fate. And not to mention, she enjoyed spending time around him. It wasn't as if it had been a long time, but Angel found she was a lot more comfortable around him than anyone else so far.

While this torrent of negative emotions swept around inside her, on the outside, Angel just ducked her head and maybe her hands quivered a little. No use visibly panicking. She didn't want to freak him out too. It was then Angel realized she hadn't said anything.

"That sounds good... I hope it works out," She murmured softly to him while keeping her gaze forward.

@Wandering Hollow

CONNOR BRANWEN

Connor glanced back at Angel and barely noticed the slight quivering of her hands. Hm... Is she doubting herself? Or is she worried? Connor slowly reached out and took hold of her hand, blushing slightly while doing so. I need to stop getting embarrassed by holding her hand... I'll look like a complete twat.

"I'm sure it'll be fine, Angel." Connor encouraged before leading her to the center of the front courtyard. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, adjusting his wavelength to the one that Angel felt comfortable with based on their previous synchronization. "Now, close your eyes and focus. We need to feel each other's Soul Wavelength. Trust me, you can do this, Angel." Connor said, staring into Angel's eyes.
I hope she's a pole weapon... Aunt Audrey's a naginata so I guess I can get used to a sword and archery should be fine. No, no Connor! Focus and be prepared for anything.

@Genon @Wandering Hollow
OOC: FYI, Allison doesn't actually know about the problems weapons face, and she truly views the prerequisite for being human as having a human soul. If your soul originated from a human body, it doesn't matter what you do with it, it's still human.

IC:

Allison was quieted by War's reply, and was silent until he left. She was already walking into the lab by this point, so she turned her head and walked inside. She couldn't blame him for acting the way he did. Obviously, judging by his reaction, she had hit a nerve, but what it was she had no idea. They had only been partners for 2 days, after all. She would give him some time to cool off before they spoke again. It was the smartest course of action at this point.

@Kishune[/URL] @Genon
Allison sighed and said, "Yes. I...let my temper get ahead of me there. But he did basically call me not human. I view anything with a human soul as human, regardless of what's been done to the body. Either way, I'll give him his space for the rest of the day," Allison said as she lied down on the table.

"I...guess that should work, yes." Allison had to ignore Stein's creepy slasher-esque smiles. And hey, the @Wandering Hollow's narrator's Leatherface comparison really did stick here, what with the slasher smiles. Thankfully I've cast Protection from Lawyers.

Angel

At the feeling of Connor's hand on hers, she looked down at them as if it was something otherworldly, but really, she just wasn't used to it. Angel tried to pretend like it was no big deal but it was actually kind of nice. There was always something comforting in bodily contact... to an extent of course.

So, they had to match soul wavelengths. Somehow that made Angel really nervous like by doing that he could know everything about her ever. Like the horrible images that kept her up at night and how she had slept with her stuffed polar bear, Snuggles, until she was thirteen. Perhaps that was taking it a little far but she still had no idea if that could actually happen. They had not yet delved this far into matching their soul wavelengths, for all the knew, that stuff was true! What if he hated polar bears?

Okay, thinking like that helps nobody and it makes you look silly so... What weapon should she go for? Angel had two known forms but well, there could be more, after all, Angel had no idea about the second until not all that long ago. Speaking of the fan, that was a poor idea. It was more of a sub weapon wasn't it? Well, then the sword was the only option.

Taking a deep breathe, Angel tried to focus on reaching out to him. After a few moments, she began to glow and then disappeared altogether. In place of the hand Connor was holding was a large sword with intricate gold designs emblazoned onto the blade.

"R...right, then," Elam quietly replied, at a loss for words after having Aiko's face so close to his. He stood there for a second longer, watching as Aiko passed under a streetlight, making it as if her white hair was glowing with an unearthly brilliance. Despite this scene, however, Elam didn't feel queasy as he had earlier that day; if anything, he was only growing increasingly curious about Aiko. He had opened up to her, something that's already extremely unusual for Elam, and in record time. It almost felt as if being around Aiko had started to remind him of something, the lost thought teasing him in the back of his mind. He hadn't a clue as to what it might be, though, or why being around Aiko made him feel this way.

Giving his head a slight shake, Elam followed after Aiko and fell into step with her. As they walked, Elam's mind wandered back to the mission they had been given. "So, any idea as to what this monster we're supposed to find might be? Disappearing act or not, souls don't just wink in and out of existence. If it can pick out the DWMA's scouts, then it must have...what's it called...Soul Perception, or something like it, right?"

Elam turned his gaze skyward, as if he was looking for an answer on the darkening horizon. "If it can do that, then maybe it can disguise its soul somehow, or cut off its wavelength or something. Though, is something like that even possible?" Elam scratched the back of his head in frustration, then turned his head to look at Aiko. "I dunno, I'm drawing blanks. You got any ideas?"

(@The Velveteen Rabbit Enjoy the cuteness while it lasts, things won't be so peachy for Elam in the future~)

Aiko listened to him speak of the monster, furrowing her eyebrows in thought and staring down at the pavement as they walked.

"It must have Soul Perception, or something along the lines of it. Either that or it has an extremely good sense of smell." She murmured softly, managing to pull herself out of her thoughts and return to reality. She glanced up towards the sky, watching as the moon began to rise over the horizon, taking the sun's place.

A full moon.

"The only thing I know of that can actually hide it's soul is a witch. It's called Soul Protect, a spell which surrounds the soul and makes its wavelength completely disappear. But, I don't think what were dealing with is a witch, which is what confuses me." Aiko tore her gaze away from the sky, and looked up at a particular building they were beginning to approach. She came to a halt in front of it, smiling warmly towards him.

"Here we are." She told him while pushing open the glass doors and stepping into the lobby, making her way towards the elevator. Out of all the apartments in Death City, it seemed this one was one of the more nicer and more expensive apartment complexes. With a loud
ding, the elevator opened, and Aiko stepped inside, pressing the '8' button which lit up with a white glow shortly after being pressed. The doors closed as soon as Elam stepped inside, and the elevator began going up, and up, and up, until finally they reached the eighth floor and the doors reopened to reveal a long fancy, carpeted hallway.

"Since my parents are professors at the DWMA, Lord Death gave me and Percy a nice deal on the apartments and let us live here. I'm pretty sure we're the only students living in this apartment right now." Aiko explained with a sheepish smile on her face. Upon finding her apartment, she stopped in front of a sleek oak wood door and pulled out a house key from her bag. Quickly unlocking it and pushing open the door, Aiko stepped in and flicked on the lights, revealing a hallway that led into a modernized living room with shiny wood floors, an expensive looking leather couch, and of course, a flat screen TV. Not to mention the huge glass window behind it, which had a beautiful view looking down on Death City, and a balcony.

"Sorry things are a little messy. Percy isn't the cleanliest roommate." Aiko laughed softly, walking down the hallway and setting her school bag down onto the granite marble counter in the kitchen.

Taking a sip of his coffee Santeru shifted his weight against the door frame listening his eyes shifted slightly from object to object as the conversation went on, not wanting to be rude he patiently waited. After sometime he spoke up once more "Good evening everyone." he smiled warmly standing up straight once more as took a few steps into the room. "I didn't quite expect there to be a party when I got home, where was my invitation?" He said cheekily looking at Allison and War and then finally to his father he reached into his coat pocket tossing him the fresh carton of cigarettes "Got there just before they closed." Santeru smiled turning back to Alison and War "Now, what exactly did I miss?".

The duo didn't have too long to wait... The groans steadily grew closer until it seemed like they were all around. From out of the ground around them, zombies slowly clawed their way to the surface. They were no where near as quick an agile as Sid, so that was a bonus. However, what they lacked in speed and agility, they made up for in sheer numbers.... It was a swarm. No wonder the town's people struggled with them.

The zombies all seemed to be in various states of decay. Some of them appeared to be mostly bones with a little flesh still clinging on, others were clearly fresher, appearing mostly human except for a few missing chunks of flesh here or there. It was too difficult to count their number as they swarmed around the Meister.

"Remember Kurumi, these things are nothing like Sid, they're slow and predictable. Just don't let them get behind you. And remember, headshots are the key. Let's see how far you can knock one of their heads. You'll win a prize if you manage to knock one out of town from here" he smirked from his little room as he watched the shambling hordes approach. He pulled on his headphones as he stepped up to the tables, running his hand along the platters before spinning them, turning the Amp Dial up to 4 this time. She handled 3 perfectly well last time, so she was ready for this next jump. As the platters spun, music started pumping in her ears through the parts of his armor that covered them.

Time to Beat It. Obligatory MJ Reference Video incoming so we won't get sued.

And for the sake of it being a bit more fitting for a fight scene... Let's use the Fall out Boy Version...

Elam stepped into the apartment tentatively, as if he felt like he was trespassing, then took a few curious glances about. She thinks this is messy? Compared to my room in the dorms this place is immaculate.

"Nice place," Elam said, walking farther in. "It looks quite...modern, I guess is the word for it. Not a bad view, either." He approached the window looking out over the city and stood there for a second, half expecting to see the monster they had to find in the distance. Now that he had sufficient time to think about it, Elam wasn't sure if he was ready for a full-blown monster hunt so soon. I've only been going to this school for two days. Do they really think I can handle something like this? I mean, Aiko will probably do all of the fighting, but what if I can't get a sharp edge when she needs one? What happens if--when my wavelength hurts her mid-fight? Shaking his head, Elam moved away from the window and towards the kitchen. No point thinking about it now. Whatever this thing is it just better be sneaky, because if it's any good at fighting I'll only cause trouble by being there.

"So," Elam said, doing his best to sound and appear relaxed, "what is it you had in mind? Nothing too messy, I hope. Cleanup isn't exactly my favorite part of the process."

@The Velveteen Rabbit (Don't worry about posts that are too long, I don't believe such a thing exists. I actually feel the need to post more, or at least more regularly, as these last few I've made haven't felt up to par. The longer posts have actually made it a tad easier for me since there's usually more to respond to.)

As Elam walked over to the window and peered out of it, admiring the view of the city, Aiko took the time to tie her hair into a ponytail before stepping into the kitchen. She usually wore an apron, for certain purposes. One, because it prevented any stains from tainting her clothes, and two, because she thought it was adorable. Percy always made fun of her for it, of course, thinking it made her look an old person or a housewife. She begged to differ.

Quickly tying the light pink apron around her slender waist, Aiko leaned her back against the counter, furrowing her eyebrows in thought as she tried to think of a recipe that was absolutely delicious but didn't take too long to make. Upon thinking of one, a warm smile spread across her face.

"How does spaghetti carbonara sound? It's really good, and only takes about 30 minutes or so." Aiko asked him, tilting her head slightly to the side. She already knew their time was running short, yet she didn't seem to show even a hint of anxiousness. Deciding to not really give him a choice in the matter, Aiko arched an eyebrow after a few moments.

"How about I just start making it, and then you can tell me how it is. I promise you it's delicious." She told him, winking before swiveling around and leaning down, opening one of the lower cupboards and pulling out a medium-sized pot. Setting it down onto the counter gently, she motioned for him to come closer before reaching up and opening one of the upper cabinets, revealing several bottles of cooking oils and a large variety of spices. She pulled out the olive oil and set it on the counter.

"Fill this pot halfway with cold water, turn the stove onto high, and then after it comes to a boil, put the spaghetti inside. There should be two boxes of it in the pantry." Aiko pointed towards the walk-in pantry next to the kitchen. She flashed him a grateful smile before getting out a skillet pan and placing it onto the stove. Quickly turning the knob, Aiko switched it to medium and watched as a blue flame sparked up underneath the pan. She then proceeded towards the refrigerator, where she pulled a package of bacon out. Before long, Aiko had diced eight slices of bacon and put it in the pan, the meat crackling and bubbling with grease and filling the apartment with a delicious aroma.

@A Skull on the Shelf (Well, that's good. I guess I'll keep making long posts then^^)

(And apparently I'm teaching you guys how to make spaghetii carbonara)

CONNOR BRANWEN

Woah... A sword... Connor gasped in shock and awe as Angel's form vanished an reformed into a shining gold sword with a rather intricate pattern. He gave with a test swing, marveling at the lightness before remembering that well-synced Demon Weapons tend to feel just right or even perfect if the Soul Resonance is good enough.

"This is it... We are now an official Meister-Weapon partner!" Connor cheered excitedly as he posed with the sword pointing straight up while resisting the urge to scream out the phrase, 'I HAVE THE POWER!!!'. But for copyright and childhood's sake, he won't. He then noticed how childish he looked and quickly went to a more neutral pose while coughing.

"Ehem. Anyway, we should get to some practice right? Shall we do some regular drills before going to the more advanced techniques?"

DR FRANKEN STEIN

"Well, no point in delaying this any longer then. Now just lie down and relax. This will definitely not hurt," Stein said as he snapped on a pair of gloves. He carefully placed the false face over Allison's robotic face, adjusting it so it would look as normal as possible. He then picked up the surgical needle and started to slowly suture the mask onto Allison's face. He was about halfway done when he heard the door opening. Stein glanced over to the door and saw his "Son" entering.

"Why hello there Santeru. Just the person I was waiting for," Stein said with a small smile before returning back to suturing Allison's face into place.

"It seems my attempts at coding have cause a huge problem for little Allison. Mind helping me out later?" Stein asked as he finished off the suture and tied it off.

"Ah yes, before I forget. How was work today? Did you met our new colleague?" Stein asked, shooting a look at Santeru which roughly means, 'Be discreet.'

Elam gave Aiko a nod of acknowledgement before moving to fill the pot, moving it from counter to sink to stove in a series of practiced movements. As he waited for the water to boil, Elam's thoughts once more strayed to the mission, looming over him like a dark, stormy cloud. He couldn't even begin to imagine what the monster looked like, but that didn't stop him from running a million different scenarios through his head, none of which ended well. No matter how he spun it, the only way Elam could see this mission ending without problem was if the monster was bad at fighting and is beaten quickly, before his wavelength could start to wreak havoc. If it turned into a prolonged fight, then the continuous exposure to his wavelength might drain Aiko of her energy, which would affect her ability to fight and...

Elam shook his head, not wanting to continue down that train of thought. At this point, the water was boiling, so he reached into the pantry and took out the boxes of spaghetti, carefully but absentmindedly pouring them into the pot. Having not slept at all the previous night, Elam certainly felt drained from the day's events, and the thought that there was more yet to do only made him feel more tired.

Having emptied the spaghetti boxes into the pot, Elam turned his head towards Aiko, trying to blink away his weariness. "Alright, what's next?"

@The Velveteen Rabbit (BLEH. Made a comment about wanting to post more, then didn't make an RP post for three days. I get distracted too easily.)

As the bacon finished cooking, Aiko switched off the heat and turned her attention back towards Elam, who had just placed the spaghetti into the boiling pot of water. She weaved around him and opened the fridge, pulling out an onion. Walking back towards the counter, she quickly got out a cutting board and a sleek kitchen knife, setting it down.

"Here, chop up this onion. While your doing that, I'll start mincing some garlic cloves." Aiko told him, flashing him a small smile before grabbing another knife and the cloves of garlic that were sitting up in the spice cabinet. She glanced over to him , an amused expression on her face as she began mincing the garlic cloves in lightning fast movements.

"So," She began, flashing him a teasing grin.

"What was it you wanted to tell me before class today? The bell rang before you could tell me."

(@A Skull on the Shelf It's okay. Don't worry about it :P

Also, I propose a timeskip in my next post. This'll take waay too long if we don't skip ahead a little bit.)
