I've been part of a decent amount of discord chats and have found that RPing on an actual forum site leads to much more in-depth stories and adventure that can incorporate larger numbers of players into a scene. Discord RPs tend to devolved into miny 1x1s in the same world and sometimes culminate in really messy events where everyone ends up stepping on each other's toes and nobody really gets what they want out of it.
