sooner or later hes fair game (twilight sparkle x deathweaponstar)

"Endurance? have a place in mind?" she asked thinking. A race of endurance, she shouldn't go all out on speed for something like that. This would be a new type of challenge for her.(never mind)
 
Sparkle started to gallop as fast as she could. It was the only way she could even keep up with the pair of ponies but her body wasn't used to this kind of work. she wanted to use her wings but it was against her nature to cheat so she forced herself to keep going. But at this speed going up a hill she was bound to have to slow down soon.
 
Sparkle eyes widened. How could they run so fast! She tried to push herself to run faster but they continued to pull away. Her surprise was continuing to grow as her hooves pounded the ground at her top speed but she was growing tired and she wasn't even half-way up the hill yet. Her body wasn't strong to run on her feet. She had never really worked on it.
 
Sparkle noticed that Angelic was starting to slowdown. Even though her hooves were starting to grow reluctant Sparklefly didn't want to stop. She wanted to continue and finish the race without cheating. Now a good distance past half way she knew that soon she would have to slow down if she wanted to reach the top but she kept telling herself not to.
 
Sparkle reached the top and plunked down. she had never felt or done anything that took so much effort before. When Angelic asked if they wanted water she responded quickly. "Please..." She was taking a while to catch her breath. "Good job Golden, Angelic." She huffed starting to gain her breath back.
 
Sparkle drank her water and felt a lot better. She surprised herself on how well she was taking the loss. After a little bit she took a sandwich as well, smiling. She had fun even though she had lost and that is all that mattered to her.
 
Angelic ate too the picnic had a few sweets in it as well. She hummed as she ate. Golden said "this is delicious!" Angelic blushed slightly.
 
Sparklefly was being pretty quiet. She felt as if she didn't know what to say so she ate without speaking. when she was done she said in a quiet voice that reminded her of when she was younger, "Yes, Angelic it is very good."
 
Sparklefly smiled. "so... what next?" The small comments and the fact that there wasn't much conversation felt awkward to Sparklefly.
 
"a lake?" Sparklefly asked as she flew slowly after him, giving her hooves more rest. Sparklefly loved to look at lakes from up in the clouds so she knew that it would be cool to be near one.
 
Angelic and golden flew up as well. Golden led the way and the lake was absolutely stunning! Angelic landed next to the water her eyes twinkling."pretty."
 
Sparkle's eyes widened as she saw the lake. it was much bigger then she had imagined. she reached out a hoof and touched the water. she shivered at the slight chill it gave and watched the ripples radiate from the point she had touched. She pulled her hoof back and said "woha! This lake is huge."
 
Golden nodded smiling."c'mon guys!" Angelic wasn't really the swimming type though. She liked placing her hooves in though. She was just kinda afraid of it.
 
"Hey Golden! let's not go out to far okay?" Sparklefly didn't want to leave angelic on the banks by herself. she herself had only swam a few times before and it had always been in shallow water so she was also a little nervious to swim in what was for sure rather deep water.
