Fantasy Son's and Daughters of Olympus

Aurora smiled and pulled him down next to her. She laid her head against his chest, giggling softly. "You never got a shower," she pointed out as she looked up at him with her blue eyes.

Hunter saw a very pretty lady coming up at him and he felt drawn to her. He was looking into her eyes and was getting closer unconsciously but Demetri pulled him away. '' Hunter! Snap out of it! Don't approach her'' he said avoiding to look at her. Hunter looked away realizing that she was the Succubus.

The incubus drew closer to Idris, reaching out as he gazed into her eyes to draw her in. The succubus turned her gaze to Demetri and smiled innocently as she stopped in front of the door, blocking the entrance. Each was sending waves of lust towards their target, hoping to get one trapped in their spell long enough to make the numbers even.

Will smiled and nods. "Yes well maybe you should take one with me?" He smirked then giggled. He sat up and whent to get his clothes.

Demetri looked away knowing how to kill it easily without drawing too much attention. '' Ok...A little purity will do it!'' he said laughing nervously as he threw two knifes directly in their forehead. '' Boom Boom dead!'' he said

The two creatures turned to dust before their eyes and they were granted access to the cafe. Inside was round two of the protection laid out by Freya and it would be the hardest so far.

Idris looked straight into the eyes of the most attractive male she'd ever met, and pulled herself back from his grip - flinched away from him, actually. When Freya had exerted her power, Idris had felt confused and wrought by emotion, the primary one being anger, but this was plain attraction, no love involved there. It brought back horrible memories. Shaking her head, as Demetri put a couple knives into both creatures, she walked into the cafe, completely forgetting the second layer of protection that Freya had placed there.

Aurora smirked slightly before blushing light red. "Well I can't argue with you...you already said you would sleep with me," she pointed out before standing up and going to him. She kissed him gently and laid her head against him.

The Carbuncle, a small dog/cat like creature was sat just inside the door. It was a golden brown colour with a black collar which held a bright red jewel. Although small, this creature had a great defense mechanism. It could take an imprint of your hearts truest desire and create a scenario in your head that was an exact replica, making you forget that you ever had a life before the illusion. And that's exactly what happened to the three Demigods as they walked into the cafe. Each was sent into their wildest dreams until such a time that they left the cafe or they found a flaw in their dream. It wrapped it's tail around it's body, twitching slightly as if fell to sleep. It meant no harm to the Demigods but it had a job to do.

((In other words.... it's hard to break. I'm going to bed so make it a long one ;) ))

Will smiled and leaned into her and pulled her hips to his and smirked. "Alright then." He said and kissed her deeply hungry for more. He pulled back after tugging her shirt and then walked to the bathroom

Aurora blushed lightly and closed the door behind them, locking it as well. She smiled kissing his neck gently before biting it and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I have no clothes to change into," she remembered as she looked at him.

Will smirked and then kissed her then bit her neck back and then took his shirt off. "Who need clothes when your covered with my sheets." He smirked then turned the water on.

Aurora thought about it for a few moments and smiled widely. "That's true," she said giggling softly. She blushed lightly and took her hair down before sitting on the counter, waiting on the water. Once she could feel the heat from it, she hopped down and took her own shirt off.

The minute Idris stepped inside, she was whisked away from this life.

She opened her eyes and was sitting on a picnic blanket. "Idris, you silly girl, it's too beautiful out to be sleeping right now."

Stifling a yawn, she smiled up at her mother. "Sorry, mom, I was just tired after practice yesterday."

Her father, a big Greek man with a permanent scowl on his face, even when he was pleased with her, looked over at her. "That big karate competition is coming up, isn't it? You make sure to get first place, kid."

She smiled freely at him. "Of course I will, dad. Have I ever disappointed you?"

Idris leaned back, her palms to the wet grass, and looked back up at the sky with utter contentment. The sun was blazing brightly above, with only a few, white clouds scudding across the vast blueness. This was all she had ever wanted, her parents with her, a normal life, not having to fit into some role, and beautiful weather. There was one thing a carbuncle couldn't change, though - one's current personality. As they picked up their things and began heading back, Idris found herself packing everything like it was her duty, her back was perfectly straight as she did so. She walked down the green hill exactly as she had been taught in her real life. No matter, it wasn't like she noticed it any more in this fictional life than she noticed it in real life.

The currently mixed-race human girl found Freya, her best friend, at the bottom. In this life, they had met at a camp in Greece her father had recommended to her... though what it was for, she couldn't precisely remember. "Freya. You came." She said, in quiet delight. "How've you been?" She grinned and nudged Freya. "How is it with you and Luke?"

Freya's eyes were shining with excitement, as she showed off the ring. "He proposed to me. We're going to get married!"

Shocked, but very happy for her friend, Idris lifted her hands and clapped them together once, pressing them to her lips as if to hide the wide smile that was alighting onto her face. "That's great, Freya." Laughing with only her eyes, she added, "It's about time. Have lots of kids and make each other wildly happy for the rest of your lives."

Before the two could get caught up in a discussion, her father pushed them along. "C'mon you two, you can discuss this once we get inside, instead of making us stand around here, all day."

"Yes, dad." She said, formally. That was the first thing that struck her as odd for the first time in the dream. Why was she so formal with her dad who had always loved her and doted on her? She shook her head. Well, he was in the military; he'd taught her discipline, after all. He was a... general... right? What was he? What was his name? Why couldn't she remember her own father's name? Her head began throbbing, but she forced herself to smile instead, you must never allow others to see pain on your face. Why? Why should pain be such a great sin?

"Idris, are you alright?" Her mother asked, concerned at her stopping. She smiled and nodded. "I know your father can be a little strict sometimes, but you know you can always be honest with me, right?" It was everything she'd ever wanted, to hear those words... but it felt like it was the first time she'd heard them. As if... she'd been starving for them for so long. Her headache intensified. She stared at her mother, the smile still glued onto her lips. "Idris? Aren't you coming? You have a piano lesson with Hunter after this. You don't want to be late."

"I... when did I start learning piano, again?" She asked weakly, suddenly unable to remember.

"Just a few years ago, remember? Your father didn't want you to take it at first, but we decided it would be better if you were more well-rounded, because-"

"Because balance is beautiful." Idris finished for her automatically.

Her mother gave her a strange look. "No, because it would look good to colleges in the area." Akiko looked at her daughter with love in her eyes. "I didn't want you to go too far from us." What should've been a completely normal statement threw Idris for a loop. Why did she feel so far away from her mother right now if that was true? Why did it feel like everything that was happening was nothing more than a dream? Why did all these normal things seem to hurt her to hear, even though she was so used to hearing them every day? What was different about today that they meant so much more?

"Haha-Ue..." She whispered gratefully. But with those two words, the dream shattered.

Her true memories came back to her in a rush, engulfing the pretty fictionscape. "Remember, Idris, don't let them send me the obituary." "Art is useless, it is not part of your destiny. You were born to be great." "Your father is a great man, you must forgive him, he does not have the time to attend to insignificant people like you and me." "Rest in peace, Miss Freya..." "You have to act like a lady, Idris." "You cannot show your pain so easily, my child."

Idris quivered for a moment, struck by the pain she'd always refused to let herself feel: the pain of betrayal and hurt and misunderstanding, and most of all, most of all, of loss. In the instant she lost everything she had ever wanted after dreaming she had gained it, all her defenses were down and it hit her so hard she could hardly breathe. Finally, she felt every drop of hurt she had hidden deep inside her heart for many, many years, and it spilled over, like water breaking a dam.

Falling to the floor in defeat, Idris screamed, tears pouring out of her eyes. She hit her fist against the floor again and again as if it had wronged her, and oblivious to everyone around her, she cried as the stone casing around her heart shattered and revealed the soft, weakness inside of her. She screamed as if someone were tearing that softness to shreds, pulling it out of her body. The tears that fell from her eyes and the sobs that wracked her body were expressions of her throwing up every last piece of the painful truths that had always surrounded her life.

((@Vaila. I actually cried while writing this, though you probably won't by reading it, it's not that emotional... hahaha. Her song right now: [media]

Hunter walked into the coffee and felt like he was sucked out of this world.

His fingers were dancing on the keyboard when he finally hit the final note and the audience roared in applause. Hunter grinned widely as he stood up gracefully with his expensive black maestro suit. He bowed like he was a prestigious man, he had never felt this before. Hunter then naturally left the stage to the back door.

'' How was it this time Ira?'' He asked with his infamous grin. Ira looked at him with loving eyes as she wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him into a kiss. He closed his eyes kissing her back. When she parted, they locked eyes like lovers do, '' It was wonderful Love. You never played so beautifully.'' She said in soft yet Ira voice. Looking at her, she seemed to be wearing very expensive clothing like they were going somewhere special. He giggled as one of the backstage worker rolled his eyes, '' Can you lovebirds make space for us. We got Elton John right away.'' the woman named Jessie said.

Hunter's eyes grew wide as he gasped, '' ELTON JOHN!?'' he asked finally able to meet his role model for years. Jessie and Ira looked at him curiously both with there eyebrow raised. Ira tip toed to place the palm of her hand on his forehead. '' Well Jessie...Seems like he isn't sick? '' She said shrugging as she looked at him, '' Are you ok? You're kind of odd today darling.'' she said giggling. Jessie sighted, '' Anyway, Hunter... He kind of brought you under his wing a while ago. Now get out before I kick you out!'' she said growing irated but in a friendly way.

Ira smiled as she winked at Hunter pulling him by the hand. '' Come on Hunter! We got somewhere to go or did you forget?'' she said playfully. She looked exactly like Ira, sounded like her and had the same style too. He didn't doubt for a second that it was her.

Hunter let himself get pulled by her and laughed, '' What are you talking about? What is happening today?'' he said somehow ending up in front of a BMW. His dream car. His grin widened as he saw his father in the driving seat. Ira pulled him in the back to seat and Hunter just was amazed by the car. '' How do you find it son?'' Josh said grinning like his son. '' I LOVE IT! HOW DID YOU GET IT?'' he said in excitement. Josh just laughed, '' For your mother of course! It's our 25th anniversary today'' he said as he started driving on the streets of a very rich area. Hunter was practically sticked to the window licking it almost. Ira just looked at him finding him more than odd but laughing at all of this.

Josh finally pulled out in front of a mansion practically. White with pillars and arcs supporting a very big balcony. It was at least three storage and all he could see is green lands all around the house. The whole land was green and very well maintained.

Hunter was speechless at this point and just ran into the house. He stormed in the house not noticing all of the guest including many people he knew. Practically all of the survivors of Camp Olympus and even some instructors. The smell of food floating in the air filled his noise with goodness. He was drooling at this point. He followed the scent and finally was led to the kitchen where a beautiful mid-thirties lady was standing. She looked at Hunter and immediatly stopped what she was doing to hug him dearly. '' Oh Hunter, I saw the performance on the TV. You were wonderful.'' She said almost sobbing of Joy. She had that very delicat and sweet voice that warmed his heart with comfort. '' Mom?'' he said not hugging back yet.

The brunette looked up at him as two kids came running to his legs screaming daddy. '' What is it my little maestro?'' she said winking exactly like he did. Hunter didn't hesitate to hug her back this time and the little ones immediately knowing they were his. Somehow, many started hugging him from Ira, Josh, His friends from the camp like Freya, Luke, everyone! All congratulating him for his very first step before an international career.

Hunter was laying on the floor of the French Coffee shop still in his dream and probably not leaving it. It was just beautiful and the people around could see it with the huge grin and the few tears running down his eyes.

----------------------------

Demetri was the last one to walk in and he saw both fall to the ground. He knew he had just fall into an illusion since he knew exactly the feel of it. Tho, it was weird. Something had gone wrong and he felt more of an observer of what was happening in his perfect world. Since a Carbuncle wasn't really harmful he figured he might as well have a glimpse of his own mind. He smirked seeing himself. He looked a lot more like a geek and intellectual than what he looked at the moment. Clear glasses with a weird clothes but still very stylish. He stayed there walking next to his other self living every single thing this form did.

Before he could see all of it, Demetri closed his eyes hating all of it. This wasn't real and would never be real. In a simple kick on the floor with the edge of his booths and Demetri was brought up to the real world. He looked at Idris going rampage and Hunter practically having the time of his life on the floor.

He rolled his eyes as he walked to Hunter and kicked him in his crotch. Hunter immediately woke up groaning in pain, '' Why did you do this to me?'' he said suffering from it with tears in his eyes. Demetri shrugged and turned around, '' Cause it works for weak illusions.'' he said in a monotonous voice. He looked at Idris and back at Hunter, '' Go take care of her... I'll take care of that Carbuncle. '' He said as he walked towards the half-cat and half-dog.

He looked at him curiously and found it quite interesting, ''Mhmm, I think I'm going to keep you. '' He simply said as he petted it and the animal immediately loved him.

-----------

Hunter walked to Idris, his hands on his balls since it still hurts him but he removed them to place them on Idris, '' Idris...It's just a dream. Calm down.'' he said softly as he made circular patterns on her back with his hands.

Idris continued sobbing, though she had stopped screaming by now. She looked up at him and couldn't even begin to hide how broken she felt. The pain shone through her eyes as if that was all she had left. She shook her head. "It's not the dream." She managed to choke out. "It's the fact that I can't have it. I'll never..." she couldn't continue. Her fist thumped dully against the ground, softer now, more methodical. She didn't raise her head again, unable to turn and face reality.

"It's strange that you start wanting what you gave up on after realizing you've given up on what you want."
She had overheard someone say once. She had never understood it until now. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. She went on pounding the floor, as if somehow hitting it could make the life she'd never been allowed to have come back. The calming motion of Hunter's hands only made it worse, accentuating the fact that her own mother had never comforted her like that. They must've looked a sight, but she didn't care.

The Carbuncle rubbed her head against Demetri's hand, purring softly. She had failed her mistress' bidding but she hoped that they would be kind. She had seen inside their souls and she knew that they were sent here by her mistress, but she hated to see them in any kind of pain. But Demetri was different. He must be some kind of illusionist himself, hence making him more immune to her defense mechanism.

----------------------------------

Unfortunately, as soon as the Carbuncle's hold over the Demigods ended the final wave of attacks began. The door to the cafe slammed shut and locked behind them, and the shutters came down. There were no customers in the cafe but soon the business was filled with dozens of Cherubs. Each moving impossibly fast as they began to prod and bite the Demigods. The stone creatures had wicked smirks on their faces, determined to protect the one they were loyal to, Aphrodite.

((@firejay1 I loved your post..... I was nearly crying :'( ))

(( :( I did cry. I was too connected to her when I wrote that. Urgh. I didn't expect these trials to bring out the vulnerability in Idris. Glad you liked it, though, and thank you for unintentionally giving me the opportunity to develop her character further.))

Idris barely registered the appearance of the cherubs at first, blinded by the tears and emotional pain. She noticed them when they began irritating her, biting and poking at her. The physical pain didn't bother her, but in a time of such emotional distress, their nonsense was the perfect reason to transform her grief into rage - a defense mechanism. She pushed herself off the ground with her arms. One of them zipped past her face and her head snapped up and to the side. Tendrils of hair had come wildly loose from her ponytail, some of it was sticking to her face wet with the tears, the rest floated around her head messily. Her eyes a bright, furious red, she looked like some kind of monster.

Of course, that didn't deter the mischievous buggers, who continued to fly around, much too fast to be tracked with the human eye. One clamped its sharp little stone teeth into her shoulder for just a second, but before it could let go, her hand had shot up and grabbed it. Next thing either of them knew, she had both hands around its stony little neck and was smashing it into the tile floor with uninhibited violence....

Aurora nervously did the same and got in, hugging him tightly before kissing his cheek. She laid her head against his shoulder and smiled lightly as her hands fell to her sides.

Hunter could see all of them since he was used to being fast like they were. He managed to run around and grab a few ones bus constantly bit his arm. It hurted like hell and he had no idea how to defeat,"what are we suppose to do?? I can't kill them!?" He said in between wince since arm will surely be filled with teeth mark

Will looked at her and wraped his arms around her and whispered, "Your so beautiful Aurora." He said as he rubbed her arm and kissed her neck and shoulder.

Aurora blushed and shook her head slightly. "I'm starved," she whispered and pulled back slightly. She looked up at him and kissed him passionately. Giggling softly, she looked into his brown eyes with lust and love overwhelming her.
