Abby growled into the phone at the sound of his nickname for her. "You'd better be joking," she muttered as she tried to repress her smile. "So hows New York? Missing Europe yet?" she asked, really asking if he was missing her. She mentally cursed herself shook her head as she began to stir the pan infront of her.

Demetri chuckled a bit knowing she didn't like it when he called her like that, '' Kind of..But not that much. I mean, I was in Europe for months now. It kinds of feel good to go back to my home...If you know what I mean...'' He continued, '' But I do miss You.. Fawn, Luke and all for some reason. It's been barely 48 hours but I still do.'' he said softly.

Abby nodded before realizing he couldn't see her. "I'm sure Fawn and Luke miss you too," she said softly without letting out the breath she was holding. Her heart was pounding and all thoughts had vanished from her mind. She briefly wondered why he'd called her, given their argument earlier.

Demetri smiled and stopped talking for a brief second before opening his mouth again, '' Anyway, keep me updated with everything that's going on.. You know like the..pregnancy and everything. '' he said softly referring to the pregnancy.

Abby fell silent on the line. "Of course," she whispered but she made no move to hang up. Swallowing hard, she ran her spare hand through her hair and turned the stove off, stepping back to sit on the floor with her head against the counter. "Claudia will be here in a few hours and we'll know for certain then," she whispered. "Can I.... can I call you afterward?"

'' You have to go?'' Demetri asked unsure if she was asking him to hang up or just asking if she can call after Claudia arrives.

 

[Vaila]

"No," she said softly. "I just wanted to know if it would be ok to call you," she said swallowing hard as she closed her eyes.

'' Oh, Yeah! Yeah of course! You can call me whenever you want.'' Demetri said with wide eyes realizing what she meant. '' I might not answer since we will be technically searching for Aphrodite so I might not be able to pick it up.''

 

[Vaila]

"That's alright," she asked softly. "Do you have any idea what you'll be facing?" she asked, twirling a strand of blonde hair around her finger.

'' Yeah, your sister explained to us like yesterday or something. We got a succubus, Cherub and some latin american creature. I'll have to check it up. It's basically like guards and stuff.. Hope it won't take too long and blood.'' Demetri said

 

[Vaila]

"She put Cherubs in there!" she exclaimed. "Those buggers bite," she groaned, rubbing her ankle. "The Succubus should be easy enough.... you deal with Frey and I well enough.... but what's the latin american creature? It's not a Carbuncle is it?"

'' Yeah! I think that was it! I was kind of pissed so wasn't listening much.'' Demetri said laughing a bit since it wasn't in his habit to not remember and he felt like he needed to justify himself. Even if it wasn't necessary. '' I'm not worried with succubus either. I had to deal with them a few times.''

Will chopped up some strawberries and threw them into a bowl. He smiled and puts one in his mouth and leaned to Aurora and smiled as his chocolate eyes looked into her hazel eyes.

"Be careful Glykia.... they get inside your head and show you the thing you want most. The life you want most.... you'll forget that there was a time it never existed," she whispered softly. "The key is to know what you're going to face. What would your perfect world be?"

Demetri fell silent for a second while thinking about it. '' I... I don't know..'' He said surprised that he had never thought about it.

 

[Vaila]

"I know what mine would be," she whispered but regretted it instantly.

Aurora watched him, blushing lightly at his actions. She closed the space between them and kissed him, taking a bite. Blushing more, she laid her head against his shoulder. "I love you," she said softly before growing quiet.

'' What is it?'' Demetri asked as a smile appeared on his face.

Will smiled at her eating the rest of the strawberry and lays his head on her. "I love you too." He said and felt her silence and he lifted his head and looked at her. "Is anything wrong?"

"Nothing big. Just hungry and tired," Aurora said as she looked into his brown eyes with her blue ones. She gave him a weak smile and ate another strawberry. Laying her head back down, she closed her eyes.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, picturing her perfect life. "I'd be living in his house. Tall in all orange and grey, with large windows that let the sunlight in. I'd drive up to the house wearing my nurses uniform and all around me would be green of the forest. I'd step out of the car and there he'd be, the man I loved. He'd wrap me in his arms and I'd know without him saying anything that he loved me and everything would be ok. I'd pull back and our son would run up to me, and wrap his arms around my neck and I'd lift him up and hold him as we went inside," she said finishing as she opened her eyes. "That is everything I could ever want."

'' Oulala, why nurse? I see you more like a doctor and it's lots more fun honestly. Anyway, that's what my mom says.'' Demetri said as he walked back inside to look into the fridge. He could hear footsteps on the second floor so Hunter either just came back or just woke up.

"I don't know where your room is," Aurora pointed out, remembering she didn't know where anything was. Shrugging it off, she looked at him, waiting on him to tell her as she watched him cut the chicken.
