Soldiers of Chaos

Armin recovered quickly from being flung for a second time, knowing he had to act quickly if he was to save Eren.

He sprinted forwards, drawing both of his blades as he did so. Tears were streaming down his fair cheeks as he thrust them both into the attacking Titan, driving it away enough so that another cadet could pick Eren up and move him to safety.

Armin had just saved his friend. And things would be okay... No. No they wouldn't. He wasn't stupid, he knew just by looking at Eren that there was a big chance he wouldn't survive the journey to Maria now. Or wherever else they took him. How ever fast they went. Eren was going to die. Dislodging his blades from the Titan, he screamed, ripping into it's flesh angrily for a second time.

"I HATE YOU ALL!" He cried, Pointlessly stabbing and thrashing at the figure.

He stopped, blades slipping from his sweaty hands when he felt a shadow fall over his head.

shit.

A hand tightly fixed around his tiny body, making him scream. It was already hard to breathe because he'd been running and stabbing. But this just made it harder. The hand continued to constrict around his waist, making Armin scream and kick as he felt his ribs being crushed under the force, tears streaming down his face.

But he saved Eren. So it wouldn't be so bad if he didn't save himself.

But he most definitely didn't want to die now.

Armin tried to breathe through his nose, kicking against the giant hand that held him in place as it was raised up to the titans mouth.

No.

Armin continued to hit and kick until his was just inches away from the lips of the creature.

"SOMEBODY, PLEASE?!" He looked down frantically, crying as he tried to worm his way from the grasp of the titan.

A sharp, burning pain attacked his left side, bitten by the offending teeth. All had fallen silent until Armin's blood cuddling screams ripped through the air.

The Titan, fed up of the blonde's struggling. Took one last bite out of his left side and dropped the small body to the ground, Armin hit the ground with a thump. His ribs visible the deep, wide and gaping whole in his side. He gasped for air, tears streaming down his face. He reached out a hand to Eren and let out another scream as somebody picked him up, blood spilling from the massive hole in his side.

Hands flew under the soldier's armpits, a burly cadet lifting the titan-shifter off the ground. Green eyes pinned themselves on the blonde who'd begun to frantically stab at the gigantic creature. No, Armin you'll... The short male was lifted from the ground, body being crushed in the creature's tight fist. He watched, anger and fear breaking through the pain in his chest. Steam rose from the wound, the human gritting his teeth. Yeager struggled in the other's grip, his fist colliding with the side of the large man's head. He was released, sending him falling to his knees. He looked up in time to see jaws rake a chunk of flesh from the left side of the human in its grip.

Eren's heart skipped, the marrow churning cry of the blonde slamming against his ears with incredible force. He stopped thinking, stopped breathing. His pupils shrunk, the titan inside of him wrapping its fingers around his ribs. It tugged tightly on his insides, his hand flying to his mouth. No one had time to react.

Teeth sunk deep into the skin along his thumb, jaws clamping down so tightly the bone shattered in his mouth, biting the digit clean off. An explosion rippled through the battlefield, heat splitting the human-titan's head in half. Steam rose from every pore, his body forming into the lipless monster from before, standing at fifty feet high.

A yell fell from his mouth, his legs propelling the blood lusting creature forward. He picked up the small cadet in his hands, cupping him with both palms lightly to his huge chizzled chest. Electricity shot through his veins, his senses firing up. He slammed his face into the Titan's neck, teeth digging deep into flesh. He ripped a slab of meat from its body, swallowing the bit hole before sinking his jaws once more. He whipped his head to the side, the other titan's body collided with the earth. He consumed the mouthful of skin before striking again, molars grasping the nape. The sinews ripped from the creature's body, ending its life.

But he didn't stop there. Eren kept eating.

Even as the body began to decay into a black corpse, he continued to feast. Losing himself in the Titan. Losing himself in the hunger.

The feeling of hot bones crushing between his teeth sent a shiver down his spine, dark flesh tasteless as he gobbled the remains.

When he finally realized what he was doing, a crowd of soldiers had formed around him, blades ready. They were fixed on the hands over his abdominal, fear in their faces. The air was thick with tension, antisipation looming over everyone's shoulders as they waited for Eren to either devour Armin, or attack them.

The blonde could hear noises, and he could feel the steam...

Eren... Don't...

Strong hands lifted Armin's body from where it lay, squirming and spitting blood all over the floor. Tears silently rolling down his face.

He tried his level best to bite at Eren's chest, muffled screams and blood escaping his crushed throat.

"Er...en..." He whispered, raking his nails at the other's chest.

He hear the thump of the offending titan's body, and heard every crunch of bones, heard every mouthful. Bile and blood escaped from his mouth next, he dug his nails in, watching the sick roll down the Human titan's body, still crying. As it was all too clear, Eren was lost in a feeding frenzy, unable to control his actions.

Please... Don't eat me.

When the Titan looked down at the Blonde in his arms, Armin met his friend's gaze, his bloody hands clutching at his gaping side.

"Wake up..." He whispered wryly, cuddling close to his chest and kissing the exposed skin softly, blood spilling from his mouth.

Green eyes glanced down at the quivering body cupped gently in his palm. The titan had sank to his knees, lipless mouth shut tightly. It seemed the battle that had broken out was over. Eren lowered his hands, gently placing the injured male upon the ground, glowing hues pinned on the small face. A rush of overwhelmingly confusing emotions ripped through Yeager's heart, making him peel his face away from the vertebrae of the titan shell. He quickly ripped his limbs from their flesh shackles, hot air stinging his eyes as he bit down on the nape of his Titan's neck, breaking to the surface. He gasped a lung-full of air, sweat trickling from his scorched cheeks. The skin around his eyes were raw, pink scars slowly fading as he clambered down the quickly decaying corpse.

By this time, surrounding officers had contained the blonde soldier cleaning his wounds and pressing hard into his body to stop the bleeding. One of them tore a piece of their jacket off to dab along the small male's brow, another beginning to tear at his green cloak to wrap his abdomen in.

Eren pressed through the five working cadets, eyes full of concern for his friend, hate for himself, and fear of himself. He nudged in front of the soldier who was attempting to tear at his clothing, interrupting him. He unclipped his own Survey Corps cape, wrapping it tightly around his friend's body. When that wasn't enough pressure to stop the heavy flow of blood, he took off his orange jacket, handing it to a redheaded woman to tear up for more bandages, and took off his light cream shirt. His chest bore no sign of his previous injuries, only long strands of red skin along his arms and face. He quickly used his teeth to tear a hole in the fabric, ripping it into long strips and tying them quickly around Armin's left side. Then, without saying a word, Eren picked up his friend. He placed his left arm under his knees, the other propping his head against his bare chest. "Hang in there Armin." He whispered, running towards the corporal's jet-black horse. "Levi! Help me get Armin to a doctor!" He screamed, searching for his captain. He was frantic now, letting his composure slip as he drifted farther away from the dumbfounded cadets.

His mind reeled, knowing that Annie was far beyond their reach at this point. She would keep going, even if she wasn't a Titan. But where? You did this, Eren. You brought this upon everyone.

He tried to focus on the task at hand, fixing his friend. "Don't die on me. We haven't seen the ocean yet. We haven't seen the fire water, or deserts of ice." He said, trying hard to keep the other awake and talking. A tear fell from his cheek, splashing onto the other's forehead. "You'll be okay." He breathed, lip quivering.

Usually, Armin would have felt flustered and maybe even scared with five people so close to him at once, but now. His mind wasn't able to process it, the only thing he could think was pain, and that's what fuelled the dry moans and groans from his bloody lips whenever somebody touched his bad parts.

As he saw Eren approach, he smiled faintly through the pain and watched him shed his clothing, soon, more things were being wrapped around him and he then realised why Eren was half naked.

When the cadets pulled away from him, the brown haired friend had swooped forward and picked him up, Armin was clearly fading fast and would not survive unless he was seen to very, very soon.

Tears began to roll down his face, that's right... They hadn't seen the ocean yet... So many things they could've seen...

The boy raised a blood caked hand and with all the strength his muster, he cupped Eren's cheek and smiled up at him, Blue eyes locked onto brown ones.

"I'm here... I'm awake..." He whispered, chest only rising and falling faintly.

"I just want to sleep, Eren... Let me sleep..." His voice was nonchalant and dragged out, almost sad. "Don't cry..." He said, his eyes fluttering closed.

Levi stopped dead when he heard the shouts and the screams.

Eren.

He swiftly turned his horse around and instructed his men to carry on, he soon arrived to the source of the shouts, having not been that far away when the titans attacked. He looked on at Armin, slipping away in his best friend's arms, blood already seeping through the jacket that Eren had wrapped around him.

"What happened?" He asked quietly, slightly stumped by the quite emotional scene.

Green eyes widened at Armin's words, a small hand fallimg over his burning cheeks. Blood had seeped through the many layers of pressured homemade bandages, and his skin was beginning to stain red. He held him tighter, tears now rolling down his face like unpleasant waterfalls. He darted his vision from the blonde male to the galloping horse, legs picking up speed. He shook the smaller male, trying hard to keep him from closing his eyes. "Armin, you can't sleep! You can't leave me!" He almost yelled between clenched teeth. He felt his hope slipping, until Heichou came into view. For once in Yeager's young life, he was overly joy ed to see the black-haired man perched upon that large steed. It almost brought a smile to his face... until the dreaded question was asked.

Eren couldn't spend any time explaining. They had to work fast.

The human-titan hoisted the body onto the back of Levi's horse, propping him by placing his hand at the nape of his neck. He looped his leg under the Corporals, and swung up quickly, taking up the rest of the space on saddle. "Just go!" He demanded, arms reaching past Armin and clasping his hands tightly to the older man's hips. The back of his friend's head was perched on his shoulder, face towards his jaw.

"Armin got hurt because I couldn't save him" he spat, giving Levi what he craved, Eren's failure.

The blonde gave a faint scream of protest as he was hoisted into a sitting position.

He coughed and blood spayed from his lips, hitting the corporal in he back of the head, Armin closed his eyes as fresh tears poured down his cheeks.

"Hurts... Hurts so much..." He croaked, coughing and spluttering, blood staining his lips and his chin.

This new position was hurting him, he broke into sobs, whimpering loudly at the motion of the horse among other pain.

"Can't... Do... This..." He blubbered, emptying his bowel once again over the side of the horse.

Levi tried to shuffle closer to the front of the horse, the clean freak would do anything the blood and bile being sprayed at the back of his neck.

"You couldn't save him?" He asked, not giving a smirk or a smile or anything. He wasn't pleased that Eren had failed for once. For some reason, he felt the slightest pity towards the two boys. So young. Already so much hurt in their lives. He sighed, bringing his riding crop down on the horse again and kicking her slightly. She broke into a sprint, Levi holding her tightly.

"Before you explain, where do you think the best place would be to go?" He asked as he craned his neck to look at Armin.

"Wherever we go, we are going to have to get there within the day. He wouldn't make it through the night, there's no way. Where is best to go?" He questioned, his eyes turning back towards the path In front of them.

"Need... To... Sleep..." Armin interrupted, closing his eyes as his head fell back against Eren's chest, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Gritting his teeth he slammed his palm against Armin's cheek a few times, trying hard to slap him awake. "You can't sleep Armin!" He yelled into the boy's ears. Eyes pinned over the Corporal's shoulder. He slipped his arm under Armin's keeping him in a sitting position. The spill of bile over his boots didn't bother him, he was more concerned with the state of his friend. "Go to Trost, that's where Mikasa is being taken." He advised to his high-ranked officer.

He kept his hand grasping the right side of Levi, fingers gripping his hip. He squeezed his knees to the horse's stomach to keep from falling as they picked up speed. Anger rose in his chest, knowing they wouldn't be able to reach the district until nightfall. "Heichou, can't you make this thing go faster?!" He asked frantically, Armin's blood and vomit dropping down his chest. He ignored the unpleasant warm liquids, body shaking from the adrenalin.

"It's a horse!" He retorted, whipping the black creature again.

"It doesn't go any faster, not with three of us on it, anyway!" He shouted back to the brown haired male, sighing softly as he branched off onto another path. Taking the two in the direction of Trost.

"Mikasa is going to be fine, Her leg will be seen to quickly and any other wounds will be tended to." He said softly, his voice remaining monotone.

"But..." He trailed off, looking to Armin.

"I'm not sure we can get there in time to save Armin. I'll try my best. But I'm not going to promise that things will be okay, because I don't know for sure that they will, Eren." He put the fact gently, but his horse was old and there was a slimmer chance they'd get to Trost in time for Armin to be treated.

His ears still sensitive to Levi's talking, Armin cried harder, tears streaming none stop and trails leaking from his nose.

"Not yet... N... The ocean... The... No!" He gave a small cry, he was going to pull through this, he had to.

The words that traveled from the Corporal's lips rattled in his brain. His stomach flipped, sending a wave of fear rippling through his skin. He knew his sister would be fine, not concerned about her state. His mind was fixed on more important matters. Armin can't die, not like this. He's suppose to grow old and grey, pass peacefully in his sleep. "Cover your ears Levi." He warned.

He opened his mouth wide, bringing his teeth down hard against his tongue. Blood spilled over the back of Armin's head. The sky split, a bolt of yellow light shooting into the Titan's skull. His form grew, his hands still grasping the men lightly. He'd even picked the horse up.

The lip-less creature pushed forward, brain only set on getting as close to Trost as possible. With every step he took the wall grew closer, his heart leaping with every bound. Mind on fire, he ignored the millions of thoughts rushing through his cranium. You'll lose control. You'll eat everyone. Keep calm. Focus, focus, focus.

In mere minutes they reached the wall. He skidded to a halt, heels digging into the dirt as he slit across the earth, bringing up large clumps of dirt. He knelt in front of the gate, his free hand balling into a fist. He rapped on the metal three times, a code he'd given the soldiers manning the only door into the whole district. Suddenly the gate was pulled open, the sound of copper grinding against stone vibrating in his ears. He placed the humans upon the horse, propping Armin against Heichou's back. His green eyes pleading.

A few men scrambled from the darkness, swarming the Corporal. They brought the soldiers forward, just as Eren began to rip himself from his nape.

The blonde cried out when he was picked up, falling against Heichou's back and whimpering.

Propped up against Levi, his opened his mouth to talk, instead, blood just trickled down Levi's white shirt.

The steps of the human titan got them to Trost soon enough, Armin was clinging into life, nails digging in to the horses sides.

He began to scream and struggle as he lifted off the horse by some random cadets.

"EREN!" He screamed, flailing and kicking his legs around, arching his arms out for the motionless titan in the distance.

He calmed and paled when Levi laid a hand on his his sweaty forehead, his eyes watering.

"I want Eren!" He screamed in his face, still flailing his arms towards his best friend.

"Armin, please..." Levi whispered, taking the struggling blonde in his own arms.

"He's fine, he'll he here soon." He said gently, watching the the injured party calm himself.

Levi walked towards Eren with the blonde in a tight hold, Armin's breathing had become shallow and laboured, his eyes quickly fluttering closed.

Fading... Fading fast.

"Come on out! Eren! You've got to come with us to see the doctors! Armin can't explain things for himself!" Levi begged, looking down.

"No, no! Armin. Hey... Come on..."

Armin's eyes opened again and he whimpered softly, nuzzling his head into the corporal's chest, blood seeped onto Levi's hands and he shivered.

Normally Armin would have gotten a slap for cuddling him like that, but he regarded the boy's condition, he probably wasn't aware of what he was doing.

Hearing their cries, he worked faster. His teeth sunk deep into red flesh, pulling at the sinews binding him. His hands reached past skin, breaking free from the large creature he'd been encased in. Without hesitating, the human-titan slid down the large decaying body, running swiftly around the back and coming upon the soldiers. Armin's condition had worsened, making his heart leap into his throat. He took the small male in his arms, nodding at Levi with graditude. "Thank you Corporal. I'm in debt to you." He breathed, running into the district and taking a sharp right. He continued down a long strip in the merchant's street, confused gasps clouding his ears. A crowd of civilians shuffled out of the soldier's way, gags being slung from their lips at the sight of the injured man in Yeager's hands. "Hold on Armin, just a little longer." He pleaded, his chin resting on the male's head to keep it from floppimg around with his movements. Legs ached as he pressed on, screaming at the humans to move.

"Get out of my fucking way!" He growled, pushing through a sea of people.

Just a little longer. Just a bit farther. Please don't go.

He could feel tears threaten to break from his lids, legs working so hard his breathing had become harsh. Lungs stinging.

He finally came to a bright white stone building, injured humans spilling from the structure, wrapped in gaz and bandages. He almost cried out of relief, slamming his boot against the wooden door, flinging it open.

"I need a doctor, now!" He demanded.

Awe struck, the nurses fumbled over themselves, all dropping their minor patience and fixing all their attention on the blonde male. "What happened?" A black haired male asked, bringing them to a large room, a cot in the middle manned with fresh sheets and a clean pillow.

Eren carefully slid his friend onto the comfortable surface, hand clamping tightly to his palm. "A Titan attacked, I... couldn't." Sobs were now shaking him, shattering the composure he'd tried so hard to piece together. "He was eaten. Well part of him." His voice was thick, forcing the words through a lump in his throat. "I wrapped him in my clothes. He's lost so much blood... I... I'm so sorry Armin!" He cried, only to have a team of medical assistance rip him from his friend's side.

"We need to assess him immediately, you can't be in here." They said, shoving him out the door. He blinked rapidly, trying hard not to protest.

"Please." He said, clamping his fingers around a blonde woman's wrist. "Save him." He pleaded, green eyes making her suck air sharply between her teeth.

"We'll do the best we can." She said adverting her gaze and slipping back into the other's room, closing Yeager off from his comrade.

Armin continued his screaming and flailing when he was ripped away from Eren, but he was tiring quickly, and eventually, he had to rest his head back and let them like and prod at his wounds, whimpering and groaning every time they touched him.

"Please... Stop touching me!" He begged them, watching the blood. It wouldn't stop pouring from his gaping wound, fresh tears began to stream down his face yet again.

"Don't... Touch... ME!" He screamed, suddenly kicking his legs out wildly.

Levi soon arrived in the room, quietly snaking his arms around Eren's waist and leaning his chin on his shoulder.

"Don't say anything." He whispered, hugging him close.

A soft spoken female played her cold hand over Armin's forehead, deep green eyes gazing into his tearing hues. "You need to calm down darling." She said, her voice soothing as she dabbed his face with a cold cloth. Her hair was red, pulled into a braid along her shoulder. "Eren is just outside of the door, waiting for you to be patched up. If you don't settle your heart-rate you might not see him again." She said, running her fingers through his hair as doctors worked quickly, their hands covered in blood as they pulled his skin tightly together. The surgery was preformed with perfection, taking flesh from a previously deceased man and using it to seal his wound. After a long while they successfully stopped the flow of blood, now working to bandage him up.

"You're doing great Armin" the sweet woman breathed, a faint smile on her red lips. The sight of blood would normally make a woman like herself faint, but she was use to it.

Outside of the room, Eren had been standing in the same spot for what seemed like days. His green eyes pinned on the large oak door that separated him from his best friend. The cries of Armin making his throat dry, stomach churning.

He suddenly felt arms wrap around his body, making him jump slightly. He then felt a chin rest on his shoulder, warm breath falling along his bare skin. A shiver ran down his spine, stance going rigid at the sudden physical contact.

"Heichou..." he said, before the male told him to be quiet. Making him close his lips tightly.

His heart rippled fast, confusion welling under his tongue. Why was the Corporal displaying such affections? Why had Armin done the same?

His brain reached back in time, ripping Annie behind his eyelids. His teeth clenches, jaw setting. He was the reason she'd escaped, the reason Mikasa was injured, and now he was the reason Armin was so close to death. "What have I done?" His voice was shaky, tears splashing into his bare chest.

After being faced with the prospect of never never seeing Eren again, his eyes began to water and he let his head flop back, breathing slowly and shallowly. He began to arch his back and writhe against the bed when he felt thick needles pierce the skin of his left side, his eyes wondering to the sutures that held his and the other man's skin together. The idea made him want to be sick, really. But once the sharp needles stopped poking and soft dressings and bandages were put in their place, he relaxed slightly his breathing returning to normal...

"Is it better now...?" He whispered as he felt a small needle inserted into his arm, painkillers or something like that.

Levi sighed gently, his warm, quivering breath tickling Eren's neck.

"You have made your fair share of mistakes today, haven't you?" He whispered to him, leaving a small, gentle kiss on his neck.

"But Eren... It's nothing we can't fix... They may have even found Annie by now, they've fixed Mikasa and they're fixing Armin." He spoke softly and calmly, his voice wavering slightly. He didn't want to be angry at Eren anymore, he wanted the boy to know that he didn't really think what he always said.

A black haired female opened the oak door, her hands covered in blood and her face slightly flustered.

"You can go and see him now... But please, please be gentle, and quiet. He's tired and he's in lots of pain... He just needs somebody. He needs you." She locked her eyes with Eren's before standing aside to let the boy and the corporal in.

A lump formed in his throat when the Corporal spoke, his skin rising with goose bumps when the male's breath fell across him. He was about to speak up when he noted the mistakes made by his own hands, but the feeling of soft lips on his neck reached in and boiled his words away. He ripped his body away, whipping around and staring at Heichou with wide eyes. Their gazes locked as Levi continued to speak. He was right about Mikasa, and about Armin, but had they been able to capture the female titan? Were they so lucky?

"What was that fo--" he was cut off by the sound of Armin's door creaking open, relief spilling over him when she formed the wonderful sentences.

Overwhelmed he grabbed the woman in his arms, breathy sobs rippling through his muscular back, shaking his body. "I can't thank you enough." He said quietly, and then broke the contact away, moving past her.

He bound to Armin s left side, taking his hand between his palms and kneeling next to him. He re steed his forehead on the edge of the bed, trying to calm his breathing. Only failing miserably. "I thought you were dead... I thought you were dying." His voice was muffled by the sheets, fabric feeling nice along his sweaty skin. "Levi was nice enough to keep me company." He added, brain reeling back to the kiss that had been planted on his neck, his fingers reaching back from Armin s wrist and resting on his own nape. Confusion continued to spiral in his chest, unknown feeling making his head spin.

Armin clutched his sweaty palm around Eren's, tears running slowly down his gave as he looked up at the boy beside him.

"... I'm okay... It hurts though... It hurts a lot. And I feel sick because there's a dead mans skin stitched onto me." He said with a giggled, painfully shifting his fragile form closer to Eren, taking his hand again and running his thumb over the palm. He cuddled against Eren, his blonde hair falling around his cheeks.

"Have you seen Mikasa yet? They got here a while ago. She's up and she's okay, at least she didn't have to have dead parts stitched to her." He pouted and bit his lip gently. Smiling as he pressed his heavy head against Eren's muscular chest. Armin traced a finger over the stitches, watching as the digit bumped slightly. He could still remember each time the needle pierced his skin, agony.

"I don't feel too well..." He said dryly.

A wave of sickness washed over him at the thought of a deadman being part of his friend's body. He looked down at the two tones skins, a darker shade stitched heavily to a large chunk of Armin's side. He dropped his hand from his neck, placing his fingers over his mouth.

Then Armin shuffled closer to him, placing his head along Eren's bare chest.

He didn't know how to react to this. The boy had just gone through a procedure without anesthetic, so the titan-shifter refused to break away. He glanced sideways out the door at Levi, the kiss along his neck running through his brain like a wildfire.

His friend, and his captain, were confusing him greatly. Bringing about an increasingly tight feeling in his chest, pulling strings in his heart and wrapping them around his ribs, tying it to the fingertips of the titan inside. "No I haven't seen Mikasa yet. I was too worried about you, Armin." He said, adverting his gaze from Heichou and placing his chin upon the blonde's head. He wanted to tell the blue-eyed boy about the strange encounter with Levi, but convinced himself otherwise. At this point, he wasn't sure if Armin would be upset, or mortified.

Eren had no Idea how to even put it into words.

It was just because you were losing a friend. It was just a way of consoling you. Heichou despises us, remember?

Eren lifted his hand and ran gentle fingers over the foreign skin attached to Armin's abdomen, shivering slightly at the incredible difference in texture.

"You're two people now." He murmured.

"It looks gross, hm." He sighed and let his eyes close.

"It's horrible... Makes me want to be sick." He whispered softly and looked down at the dead man's skin that was messily stitched to his side.

"It feels weird, like I just want to rip it off... I mean, I'm glad I survived and all but that..." He felt bile rising in his throat, he didn't know how he could be sick anymore, but he sat up with a jolt, hissing in pain and grabbing the small bowl they'd left beside him, gagging slightly.

He hated the idea of part of another person stitched to him, but it had saved his life, he should have been thankful. But all he could think of was now how displeasing his chest looked, only fuelling the gags.

He let the vomit fall from between his lips and into the bowl, tears streaming down his cheeks from the pain of sitting up so quickly.

The gags from Armin made the man's heart lurch in sadness. He pulled golden strands away from the soldier's face, fingers brushing his cheeks lightly. The sound of his wretching didn't bother Eren, but the small moans in pain made his eyebrows pull up in concern. "I don't think you should worry about how you look right now. That man, dead or alive, gave you his essence so you could live." He spoke softly, trying hard not to watch the bile spill from the other's mouth. Eren looked back at Heichou, meeting his gaze. The eye contact made his heart beat fast, ghosts of the man's touch still rolling over his skin. "I'll be forever greatfull." He said, half about the lifesaving organ, the other half to his captain. If Levi haven't t been there, Eren never would have been able to think clearly. He was so use to Armin pulling him from uncontrollable situations, he hadn't realized how lost he'd be without someone to keep him sane. The titan-shifter had stood to his feet, never filling his eyes away from the Corporal.

"You're safe now, Armin. That's all that matters."

Armin nodded his head, painfully laying back down and smiling up at Eren.

"Thankyou... For saving me..." He whispered. His cheeks dusting a pale red colour as he tore his gaze away quickly.

"Eren... Go see Mikasa." He said gently, wringing his hands as the brown haired boy walked towards the door.

Levi was looking on at the pair, his hands aching and his lips still tingling slightly from the kiss he'd left on Eren's nape, He shouldn't have done it, but he didn't regret it. If they were facing the right way, maybe Levi would have even kissed the boy's nose or lips. There were so many things he had to tell Eren, confessions, the truth.

No. He couldn't tell him! What were these stupid feelings?! How could he possibly like Eren like that?!

He began to feel hot and sharp pains attacked the back of his head, he had to sit down in a nearby chair, tugging and yanking at his hair, trying to vanish these weak feelings that he had for the boy, his foot was kicking hard against the little oak chair and his hands were buried in his hair.

The titan shift er hesitated for a moment, gaze fixing back to Armin as the corporal stepped away. He seemed puzzled; maybe regretting the sudden display of affection? "I'll come back, okay?" He said softly before walking out and having his gaze fall on a distressed soldier, feet slamming against a small chair. He rushed towards Levi, his fingers grasping his hands tightly. He pried the male's fingers from his raven-like hair, desperation in his throat. "What are you doing!?" He asked, fear for the man's mentality flying heavy in his skull. He knelt in front of Heichou, green eyes swelling with concern. "Levi!" He yelled, the room buzzing. He felt a million eyes bear their gaze at the back of his head, but he brushed the feeling aside. He gripped hard on the man's wrists, pulling them down so he couldn't tug at his locks. Had he broken? Have the years of serving the Survey Corps finally caught up to you?

Eren brought his forehead to Levi's, his brows pulled up in the middle with worry. Their noses brushed together. Yeager didn't understand why he did this, just that he needed to calm the other down. If his captain went down, he might not have the will to continue fighting. This man was his only chance at redemption, at revenge. The only hope for humanity. "Everything will be okay." He lied, but it sounded very convincing; his voice soft.

The Corporal shook his head, slamming his feet against the chair again.

"No, Eren. Everything is not going to be okay!" He barked, his hair falling infront of his eyes.

He looked up as Eren pressed their foreheads together, his eyes twinkling with the very beginnings of tears.

Heichou stared into the deep green pools for what seemed like days, his nails digging into Eren's soft skin.

He had to say it.

He had to confess.

No.

Levi simply stared at Eren, not saying another word, he looked like he was about to meet their lips as he wrapped his arms around Eren's neck, but instead he pressed his head into the nape of the boy's neck, pulling him close and hugging him tightly.

"I'm sorry." He muttered, tears threatening to fall from his eyes, but he couldn't cry...

"I'm sorry..." He said again, the corners of his eyes were wet, he still wouldn't cry.

"Eren..." He took the boy's hand in a proper manner, squeezing their fingers together.

Armin had raised his head again when he heard the squeaky sounds of a wheelchair, his eyes surveyed the area until the dark haired girl finally came into view, he made an attempt to sit up, but then settled for shouting her name instead.

"MIKASA!" He cried, his blue eyes wide.

Shock rammed itself in the back of his head as his captain continued to lose his grip on his own sanity. The feeling of his hands wrapping tightly around the boy's neck made him freeze in his tracks. Wide green eyes scared down at the man's lips, their closeness causing his heart rate to climb intensely. "Levi..." He breathed, listening to his frantic words with sympathy. "Calm down. We'll work this out" He said, trying hard not to focus on the shape of his lips, or the curve of his eyebrows. His brain was fogging over, the breath of the Corporal laying across his chin.

"Why are you sorry?" He asked, leaning in.

The shout of Armin, made the titan-shifter tear away from Heichou, his eyes falling on the black-haired female. Even though she was dressed in a long white medical gown, she still bore the red scarf he'd given her years ago. "Mikasa!" He shouted, cheerfully. His hand still clutched in Levi's. He glanced down at their fingers, intertwined. His cheeks now burning a deep red. He pulled his hand away, confusion welling in his stomach once again. Feelings of uneasiness forming along his chest. What was going on? Why were these strange emotions coming about at this time? He had Mikasa and Armin to think about. He had Annie to think about.

Annie...

His brows pulled together, a shadow forming over his eyes. "Pull yourself together, Corporal. We have humanity to think about." He said firmly, trying to rip himself out of the strange mind-set. He couldn't keep letting these burning emotions interfering with the tasks at hand, they had more important manners to attend to. He turned sharply, leaving the captain to sit as the nurse wheeled Ackerman closer to the human-titan, still within Armin's view. Eren dipped down and embraced his sister, careful not to hold her too tight, for fear of hurting her bruised body. He stared down at her black and blue skin, sadness and guilt weighing heavy on his mind. "I'm so sorry..." He said, before the lump in his throat ripped through his heart. Tears began to flow quickly, his body dropping as he fell to his knees. He placed his head in her lap, body shaking as she raked her fingers through his brown locks, hushing him as uncontrollable sobs ripped through him. He'd completely ignored the advice he'd just given to his high-ranked officer, falling apart in his sister's hands. "I almost ate you... I almost killed Armin. Look at him! Look at you!" He couldn't keep himself together. Waterfalls running from his tightly closed eyelids.

"Armin and I are safe, Eren." She tried to console, her dark eyes shifting back to Armin. She pleaded with her pupils, unable to handle the breaking soldier in her lap. She was never good with his tears.

Armin was unfortunately unable to get up from where he half sat half layed, He looked on at Eren, his eyes saddened slightly, he gave a soft nod when Mikasa locked their gaze.

"Eren..." He said weakly, tears in his own eyes, he didn't want to watch the brown haired boy cry so much, he hated it when anybody was upset, let alone the friend who was like a brother to him.

"Eren... Me and Mikasa are safe. That's all that matters now..." He said, his desperate attempt to calm his friend failing drastically.

"I'm sure Mikasa has already forgiven you, I'm sure that she understands that you're not entirely responsible for your actions whilst you're in your Titan form... She loves you! She's your sister... She's safe and well... And as for me, well... You saved my life, Eren! If you hadn't taken me to Heichou in time, or you hadn't gotten us to Trost like you did... I hate to think it... But I'd probably be dead by now." Tears pushed their way past the mental barrier he'd put up and streamed down his face.

"You didn't almost kill me, you saved me!" He shouted the last part, balling his hands up in the cotton sheets that covered his legs.

"Both of us love you, Eren." He said softly, furiously wiping his tears away.
