Social Experiment

Alex had gone back to her room to finish unpacking and set up Sebastian's cage. After she set up his automatic food and water containers she placed him in there on his bed. She closed the door to her room and walked down stairs to get something to eat. When she had reached the bottom she saw the others, she recognized Izzy, Kyle, Cole, and Charlie but the others were unknown. Alex sent them a wave and went towards the kitchen.
 
Izzy smiled at Alex as she went by, then looked towards the twins. ”Well, nice to meet you Jay and Todd. Sorry if we're bothering you.” She smiled lightly at them then put her earbuds in and turned the music up as far as it'd go.


Cole glanced at Izzy and recognized it when her nerves were being pushed to extreme, and she needed to zone out and calm herself. He let her be and turned to Callahan. ”Callahan huh? Cool name. Does it mean anything in perticular?” He asked curiously.

"Well I uhm... I heard it meant follower of god... But I'm an atheist so that's not true to me...." Callahan replied, twirling a lock of his black hair in his fingers and biting his bottom lip. Everyone here so far was a bit too talkative for his liking, he was already scared of most of them and he was sure that there was more to see...
 
Cole grinned. ”Well then, glad i'm not the only Atheist here then.” He said half joking then quickly turned to Izzy, his irritation slightly showing. He pulled one of her earbuds out so she could hear him. ”You know if we're boring you, you don't have to stay. I don't see any shackles on you.” He said dryly.


Izzy tried not to let her relief show. ”You're not boring me, but I think I will go exploring or something.” She whispered as she stood. Then she noticed Callahan's discomfort. ”If you'd like you can join me.” She offered lightly, staring at her feet as she did so. He seemed like her, and didn't seem the type who'd try and make her talk.
 
Charlie~


Charlie stayed quiet while she listened to everyone break into their own conversations after they introduced themselves.She sighed softly and outlined the design on her pants leg.Quietly she hopped up and started to walk to the places she never been before.Half of her wanted to just do something to keep her occupied and the other half actually wanted to see something that would seem interesting.


Kyle~


Kyle looked around the room then let his eyes fall on Cole and Izzy.He smirked when Izzy said she wanted to explore."Every bodies leaving me."he said with a frown then chuckled.He noticed he was still holding onto Callahan's hand and looked into his eyes and smiled.He tapped his fingers on the table and then just decided to stare into space.

Callahan shifted closer to Kyle, shaking his head at Izzy's offer. He squeezed Kyle's hand and rested his head on Kyle's shoulder. For today, he'd stick to Kyle like glue, Callahan planned on socialising another day.... "I think I'll stay with Kyle..." Callahan said quietly, leaning on Kyle and breathing lightly, enjoying the warmth radiating off him. Perhaps he was getting too cozy with Kyle for a first meet? Nah.....
 
Alex's head shot up when she heard that Izzy wanted to leave. She hastily finished off her nachos and ran to her side with a smirk on her face. When Alex was close enough she put her arm across Izzy's shoulders, "Why don't I go explore with you instead since Callahan seems a little...occupied. I won't force you and you don't have to say yes." After glancing at Kyle she winked in a way that meant 'spend some time with him.'
 
Izzy smiled and nodded. ”Sounds like fun.” She said in answer to Alex's offer. She grabbed the girl's hand and started away, going for a random hall and smiling when they ended up at the indoor pool and weight room. She collapsed in a chair by a small glass table. ”Sometimes I just have to.......get away.” She said to Alex with an embarressed smile.


Cole watched after Izzy with a frown, hoping she'd be fine. Then he noticed Charlie was gone. It was just him, Kyle, and Callahan. ”Well then...” He muttered, hopping over the bar and reading labels on the bottles. ”You two drink?” He asked them with a grin.

"Not really..." Callahan murmured, not having a sleeve to bite he decided to chew on Kyle's shirt sleeve. No one else he used to know minded him so why wouldn't Kyle? He probably seemed weird, chewing on someone's shirt, but Callahan didn't really mind.

Alex nodded her head in understanding as she began to strip, " I know exactly how you feel Izzy. There are times when we just have to be alone and other times we don't really have a choice." Alex was left standing in her bikini top and bikini shorts that were a midnight blue color. She jumped in barely splashing Izzy and came back up with her hair plastered on either side of her face. "Care to join me, " she asked with her hand held out.
 
Todd shifted in his seat watching the tv, glad that the group had somewhat dissipated, so it would be a little more quiet. Jay looked over at Lola, "Have you looked around? And where's that guy that was with you? I didn't see him come out of the kitchen." He noted.

I haven't explored, I'm not sure where Kenton went... Probably wandering he's my brother." She set her legs down as the show ended. "DO you want to look around? We could go buddy style... so if we get lost, we both do?" She giggled a bit and smiled

Jay laughed, "I don't really think we'd get lost. But yeah, I haven't really looked around all that much either." He moved to stand and stuck his hands in his pockets, "So he's your brother? Who's older?" He asked stepping away from the couch waiting for Lola.

"moi." She said heading into the kitchen of which Kenton was missing from. "What about you, you have a brother right? who's older? must be weird to have someone of the same gender? I would kill for a sister, I mean I love Kenton to death but I can't complain about my....women stuff..."

Jay nodded as she talked about who was older and how she wished she had a sister. "Oh, well. He's older. But, ya know... he's always been my brother. So... I mean..." He just shrugged, following her to the kitchen. He wasn't exactly sure how to answer that because they technically weren't the same gender yet. "Just been that way my whole life I guess."

"Oh, yeah I guess so... I almost thought you were twins! People think we're twins all the time.. I'm not sure why" She wandered through and looked around the house was modest but large.
 
"We are twins. Just not identical. But we're close to identical. I look a little more like him every year." Jay said with a chuckle. "So you're not twins? You're just siblings? That's cool. I think you mentioned something about taking care of your brother? Is he sick or something?" He asked walking along side the girl also taking in the different rooms, "Are you guys sharing a room here?"
 
"no we aren't sharing but... yeah... he kinda is..." Lola looked around and smiled "huh that's so weird, you look identical are you sure your fraternal?" Lola asked biting her lip and smiling in the way that drove the boys back home crazy.
 
Jay just smiled, "Yeah. I'm pretty sure." He replied taking note of the smile, she had "Nice teeth." Before his eyes went wide and he realized he was thinking out loud. "Uhhh... did you- did you have braces? Or is that natural?" He asked trying to play it off, but failing miserably. F*ck.
 
"You have a nice smile. Very pretty." Jay complimented her as they neared the back of the house where the pool and workout room were. "So.. tell me about you. Where are you from, what do you do? Who is Lola?" He asked stuffing his hands farther into his pockets.
 
Charlie!


After Charlie "explored" half of the house she came across something that she wanted to show everybody!Or at least one person."Coooolllleee??!"she said as she skipped down to him"Cole you've gotta see this!"she said with excitement as she tugged on his sleeve and eventually pulled him along to show him what Charlie had found.


Kyle~


Kyle watched as everyone started to leave and smiled when Callahan said he wanted to stay with him.He blinked when Charlie came back"I wonder what she found..."he said to himself as Charlie skipped off with Cole behind her.He turned his head to Callahan again and looked down at his sheet"Ehh nervous?Ha i use to do that to my mom and she thought i was weird or whatever."he said."But yeah um...go ahead and chew away.I hope it tastes good!"he said and chuckled.

"A little mystery, yes. But that doesn't mean you can't still tell me about yourself. I'll let you keep your deep dark secrets though." A slightly crooked grin spread across Jay's face as he looked at the pool. Ahh he loved swimming, but he hated swimming around people. He saw the other two girls at the pool but didn't really acknowledge them, they seemed to be happy with their own little conversation.

Izzy stared at the water and bit her lip. She had to face her fear sometime. She stripped from her hoodie to her tank top, and decided to just get in wearing that and her shorts. ”Hope the waters not cold.” She said with a nervous giggle, then took Alex's hand and stepped into the pool. She barely even noticed the other two people who joined.


Cole grinned as Charlie dragged him who knows where. ”What'd you find? Is it edible?” He asked with a giggle. That reminded him, when they were done doing whatever he was going to make food. You know, to eat.
