Realistic or Modern Small Town Girls and City Boys

Alice

Alice arrived late to supper and apologized to her father before going off and taking photographs of the event. She gladly photographed the stars as they twinkled ever so brightly in the cooly streaked sky. (Referring to the color wheel.
:P ) Before returning her mind frame to documenting the event it's self from the smiling faces around her to the decorative lanterns floating about. She photographed some of the horses as their mane gently blew through the soft push of the nice breeze passing by. That's when she remembered that Storm, her favorite horse on the farm, was still in the barn so off she dashed to go and get Storm only to return with the horse 10 minutes later not even bothering to saddle up. She watched the others converse and flirt while she just smiled and snapped yet another photo. She loved seeing the world through her lens but seeing things through her own two eyes is even better, it's extraordinary. She waved hello to her sisters before deciding to join Serenity for a bit.

"Hey Seren."

The girl states in a equally cheerful and soft voice as excitement decided to spring in and barge into the equation.

Ophelia had put up Thair and went to put the groceries away. She went to sit at the dinner table. She had grabbed a beer and looked over at her father.

" so father how was your day?"She asks.Ophelia drank her beer and watched the Makism out of the corner of her eye. She smiled slightly and covered it up by drinking. Ophelia sighed and shook her long hair out. She wasn't sure what to do about this stay away from the guys thing her sister's were out right flirting. She still inly just looked she wasn't about to slip up. Not with her ailing father. She was the oldest after all and had to look after her siblings before her own happiness.

Irish Ice Queen

William gave a slight smile as he admired the decorations. This isn't half as bad as I thought it would be. He glanced down to examine the food. His licked his lips and rubbed his hands together deciding on what to choose from the variety of foods that Avery prepared.

He was about to reach for a plate when he felt a staticking graze on his arm. William looked to see what caused the sudden shock and didn't realize Avery was so close to him. He scooted a bit to allow space for her but then saw her disappear. He gave a tiny frown but shrugged it off as he returned his attention back to the food.

Once he grabbed all that he knew he could finish he gave a glance back to Avery and giving a tiny small hoping that he can see his gratitude in the food she cooked for them. Then he turned back to his food savoring each bite as he continued to enjoy the peace at what he felt at the moment.

Avery looked over at William and smiled only a little so her father won't see then poured herself a glass of raspberry mint detox water. She looked at her father and smiled brightly "so how was your day today daddy? Did ya just relax?"

Avery and her father continued a conversation about how he bayled hay and a bit about dirtbikes. Avery so often Avery would look over at William to see if he was enjoying his food, and hoping that he would look at her too.

Hudson looked at the food that was set infront of them, "oh jesus, this is better than Mcdonalds!" Hudson had made a reference about what they usually eat for supper at college.

He made a pleased sound and started dishing his plate. When he got the things he wanted he dished right in, every so often taking a swig of the beer. He noticed William looking at Avery and laughed a bit, "So you're interested in that girl?" He nudged his friend and took a bite from the chicken.

The smell of the food wafted through Kevin's nostrils and cause him to smile. "Boy, this smells so good. Thank you." He said with a light smile at Avery. Kevin bowed his head and said a prayer. He looked back at his plate and began to eat away at the veggies. The warm texture ran over his taste buds and down his throat. "It tastes just as good too."

He continued eating as Serenity came over and reintroduced herself. He glanced at Hudson out of the corner out of his eye, but he was talking to William. "Probably about the girls," he thought to himself as he slipped a piece of chicken in his mouth.

"Let's see: William can't keep his eyes of Avery; Hudson is subtly exposing that he is interested in Serenity; Mak is chasing after Ophelia obviously; Issac...has disappeared, but I could see him chasing Alice; then there is me: not chasing any of the girls." Kevin chuckled to himself about that thought. "I don't think Mr. Delwood will have any problems with..." Kevin pause for a second, "Wait."

Kevin looked at his hand confused, "Mr. Delwood said he had five daughters." He began to fold a finger for every girl he listed, "Avery, Serenity, Ophelia, Alice, and..." His first finger was still extended, "There is a Delwood girl that I haven't met yet."

Kevin swallowed hard for a second. "Well, let's just hope I'm not interested in her either." he thought to himself as he took another bit of chicken.
