Slipping on the Ice

It was one lazy afternoon. Vaguely, Zac could hear students playing below. They were doing PE and he sighed in regret that he was stuck in class. From the corner of his eye, he could see the people in the back row sleeping, some with their heads down and some with their head lagging around. How he wished he could do that too. But alas, he was stuck in the side, near the window. At least, the view is beautiful, which is something.

He didn't pay attention and continued observing the students below. He has no idea of what year level they are but they sure are having fun.

Alec was in PE. He was playing soccer with his class, and his team was obviously winning. He was amazing at soccer, so why wouldn't they win? Not to mention that the goalie flinched away when the ball came near him and half the opposing team's players were asleep on the bench. His teammate passed the ball to him and he dribbled past the sloppy defense, stopping just in time to score. The soccer ball hit the back of the net with a 'thwump', and the coach blew his whistle.

"Alright, that's enough. Have some mercy, will you Alec?" He said. Alec shrugged. He had managed to score 40 points for his team, while their opponents hadn't even made one goal.

One student particularly caught his eye. He moved with such fluid grace that in the game, he looked like he was dancing, with a ball of course. And he had skill and cunning too, his every move precise and meant to bring him closer to victory.

Chest thudding with excitement, he pressed his face closer towards the windows. He never knew someone from this school has that level of skill. It made the class pass more quickly. He was soon fully absorbed in the game...and when they won? He cheered with them.

Which caught him a warning glare from the teacher. Soon, the bell rang and he was able to get out.

He ran towards the school grounds.

"You suck, Alec!" Nathan, the goalie for the other team, scowled. "Why do you kick the ball so damn hard??" His teammates agreed, arguing about it.

On the other hand Alec's teammates patted him on the back as he smiled coolly, simply walking back toward the long walk from the fields to the locker room without acknowledging the ruckus. He had a small towel around his neck, despite the fact that he had hardly broken a sweat. From the corner of his eye he saw a shape moving rapidly toward him, but paid it no attention.

Zac skidded to a stop at the edge of the school grounds. The amazing sporty guy is still there. He could see him from afar, looking like he didn't just participate in a sweaty sport.

"Alec! You're so great!" a high pitched voice screamed, making Zac wince and want to cover his ears.

Slowly, he approached the rabid-looking girls. "Uhm...who is that?" he asked, pointing at the guy.

The girls looked like they were about to faint."Oh my God! You don't know him?! He's simply this school's prince. The only rose among you thorns and poop. Hmph." She held her head so high, Zac could almost see through her nostrils.

"Yeah, who is it?"

"Alec Winters, so appropriately named. Because he's our Ice Prince!"

He was about to approach the guy when the bell rang and signaled the beginning of the next class. He looked at the guy regrettably and went back to the classrooms. He spent the next hours intrigued by the guy, which was so inappropriate for him. But fun.

Alec changed out of his short gym shorts and shirt into his regular school uniform, and then sighed. He was quite bored. He excelled at sports, academics, looks, popularity... Everything, really. But it didn't matter. Nothing was really a challenge. That was why he passed the days by with his cold apathy. Nothing was really worth his attention anymore.

"Hey Alec, what's up?" "'Sup, Super A!" "Alec! You look very handsome today!"

He simply nodded to all the statements he recieved as he walked through the halls to his next class.

Zac woke up groggily. Blinking against the haze of sleep, he looked around. Clothes where everywhere. It looks like Mother forgot to clean up again. With a sigh, he got up and tried to tidy up the place as much as possible.

Picking up a high heeled shoe that could easily pass off as a murder weapon, he placed it in the closet where Mother keeps her things. It was filled with ruffled and puffy dresses with eye burning colors. He shook his head at the garishness of it all.

After eating his breakfast of milk and cereal with some strawberries, he changed his clothes and went to school.

The noise level of students was higher than usual. He was puzzled. They seemed to crowd in front of the bulletin board.

"Hey, what's happening?"

"They posted the class standings and those who failed. I passed!" a girl answered him excitedly.

Trying to get in front and see, he pushed his way in. He was filled with joy when he saw that he passed too, though he was near the borderline. But who cares? Passed is passed.

He then looked up to see the names of the top students. They were really amazing people, in his opinion. His eyes widened when he saw a familiar name.

Alec woke to the ringing of his alarm clock. He sighed impatiently, and turned it off before changing into his clothes for the day and eating a breakfast of toast with butter and honey.

After that, his mother came downstairs and chatted with him aimlessly for a few minutes until he had to go to school.

Everyone was crowding around the bulletin boards, and he had to stop himself from rolling his eyes. A few girls squealed as he passed, but as usual he didn't even notice.

Of course, he went to the highest up scores to search for his name. He was third best. Good enough for him. He didn't try, so as long as he was in the top 10 he didn't really care.

With that out of the way, the Ice Prince headed toward his hometown class, disinterested in the rest.

Zac saw the interesting person's name. He was delighted that he also ranked high among the students. So he was not just some jughead jock. A smile formed on his face. He was about to return to his classroom when the sudden change in the air drew his attention.

Looking around, he finally saw him. He drew in a swift breath at the unexpected appearance of the guy who had captured his attention yesterday. On the left, just a meter away was no other than Alec Winters. He took in his fill. The guy's perfect face. The guy's perfect body. The morning light gave him an unearthly, almost ethereal beauty.

His heart thudded even louder. He could hardly hear anything against the defeaning sound of his heartbeat.

Zac was captured. Irrevocaly, permanently. Alec Winters just owned his heart.

He was only able to snap back to reality when someone pushed him aside. And when they guy was walking away from him.

He took running towards his future. "Wait!"

Alec was simply walking to class, not really paying attention to what was happening around him, when suddenly he head someone calling. "Wait!" Was that for him? He was a bit annoyed, and started to turn around, but then the jostling of the crowd became too much.

As he fully turned himself around, he spotted a boy, looking perhaps a year or two younger than him. He was headed in his direction, almost in slow motion it seemed. Alec wondered what his deal was.

And then someone from behind him pushed, and he stumbled a few steps forward in an attempt to right himself, until he fell.

Right into the boy.

As they collided, Alec attempted to push away, but only managed to fall harder, taking the boy down with him. The boy hit the floor, and Alec fell on top of him with an "oof!" sound.

He laid on this boy for a second, trying to regain his senses, and then started to get off, reaching out a hand to help him up. Even if he was cold, he would help someone up if he had caused them to fall.

"Are you alright?" He asked in his emotionless voice, staring down at the boy.

Zac wondered if a long time ago, he had been blessed with extreme luck. For the gods must be so happy with him today that they decided to give him this unexpected chance.

Like in slow motion, he watched Alec slowly, oh slowly fall towards him. He saw his beautiful eyes widen and his thin, sexy lips tightening. He closed his eyes in bliss as their body collided. His mind quickly noted the sensations, decadent and sinful.

As they lay there together, he rested his hand on the small of his back. But alas, it was quickly ended.

As the guy straightened, he kept his eyes on his face. The sun was shining behind him, creating a halo like effect. This guy is really perfection.

He grasped Alec's hand and stood up. It was so soft. He didn't want to let go.

"I'm Zac. And I think I'm inlove. With you."

(ooc: Is he creepy? I hope he sounds creepy. xD )
