[Tiresias the sage]

Ah yes. [THE VOID]. home to all your favorite existential primal fears and physics defying landscapes. Home sweet home. then again, he had never left, so could he really say that? eh, doesn't matter. Kūsho was on the third island owned by the BARRIERS foundation, (Benevolent Alliance for the Regulation of Interdimensional Entities and Resisting Skinwalkers (the last leader had been killed by one while on duty, so they had a grudge.)) because the duochrome black and white fit his aesthetic perfectly.

"Hey there!" says a vivacious human redhead, who was also on this island. "I'm Cassie the explorer! Like Dora the Explorer, but less annoying. Okay, the same amount of annoying, but for different reasons." She tilts her head. "You look pretty interesting! Are you one of those magic alien dudes from 'round here?"

Henry walks up from behind her and bows his head respectfully. "My name is Dr. Henry
Shepherd. I'm a scientist, for now accompanying my sister," he gestures to Cassie, "on her missions."

 

[Tiresias the sage]

Kūsho smiled, but it could probably only be seen with his eyes. "Oh hi! Do not worry my friend, your annoyingness is totally welcome. I am something known as a voidling. I used to be human, but i almost got sucked into a black hole, and ended up taking some of it with me! so there." he looks at henry then puts on his serious face. "salutations good sir. I hope it is going well."

Henry sighs. "You turned into this after getting sucked into a black hole? Do you have any idea how little sense that makes, physically speaking? Not that I don't believe your story, it's just... physics as I know it is wrong, and I only learned this recently."

Cassie glares at Henry playfully. "Henry! You sound like someone who's about to report an innocent person to the Physics Police! But magic things are cool and good! Down with the laws of physics! Repeal the law of gravity!"

 

[Tiresias the sage]

"like i said, I wasn't sucked in fully, i only got close to getting pulled in. and physics are wonky here so..." Kūsho laughs at cassie's comment. "yeah screw gravity!"

"Getting nearly sucked into a black hole still shouldn't do that," says Henry. "And yeah, 'wonky' is one way to put it."

Cassie shrugs. "That's Aquarii for ya, too rational." She leans in in a conspiratorial manner. "I'm a Sagittarius if you couldn't tell!"

Henry runs his hand over his face. "Cassie, please don't bring astrology into this."

"So what do you like to do here..." Cassie continues, "um, I was gonna say your name, but I realized that I don't know what it is. But anyways, I'm gonna guess! Leroy!"

 

[oldantiques]

Kit watched the gathering from afar, slightly judging them as he barely sits on the top of the building. With a small push off the edge, the shadow floats downwards and lands next to them. "Kit, weapon developer." he introduced himself flatly.

Cassie turns to him. "Ooh, what kind of weapons do you make?"

 

[oldantiques]

"Whatever is laying around." Kit referenced the requests his boss gives him. He'd never pays attention to the big picture but if Kit would have guessed, it would be firearm. "Firearm." Kit quickly took back his words, though, his lack of facial feature made it difficult whether he was joking.

"Uh... huh," says Cassie.

"If I may ask," says Henry, "what sort of creature are you?"

 

[Tiresias the sage]

Kūsho was trying not to laugh through the whole interaction. the flat speaking was too much for him, but it could only be noticed if you see him shaking.

"Anyways," says Cassie, "I'm gonna try guessing your name too! Is it... Gregory?"

 

[Tiresias the sage]

Kūsho guesses too. "based on the hair that look like cat's ears, I'm gonna guess you're called luna. that's my cat's name."

"Ooh, good guess!" says Cassie. "But, like, that's a girl's name, so it would only work if they're transgender or nonbinary or whatever, or something that would let them have a girl's name while lookin' like a guy. Which they might be!" She turns back to Kit. "Are you? Or I suppose you could just have a girl's name while being a guy, that works too. And by the way, I wish I had the cat ears too, it'd be just like my fantasies, or at least I wanna date someone like that, so can we get married now? It's even better 'cuz you have this dark and brooding thing going on!"

"Um, maybe let him answer one question at a time?" says Henry.

 

[Tiresias the sage]

Kūsho's laughter get's stronger and can just barely be heard.

 

[oldantiques]

Kit silently watched the two throw around guesses, each one ticks his nerves. "I stated that my name is Kit," he huffed, rubbing his temple, "I am a living shadow who walks along these planes." Brushing his bangs next before putting his hands back on his hips, Kit dismissed most questions being thrown at him, "And you three are...?"

"Sorry! I forgot!" says Cassie. "But anyway, I'm Cassie, that's Henry, and that's Leroy!"

 

[Tiresias the sage]

"NOT leroy. Kūsho, a human who got covered in void. Chef and Weapons Developer."

"Can I still call you Leroy, though?" asks Cassie.

 

[Tiresias the sage]

Kūsho sighs and puts a hand on his hip. "look, as long as i can recognise it, it's fine."

"Yay!" says Cassie. "I might also call you 'Mr. Void-covered chef, though."

 

[Tiresias the sage]

Kūsho "Yeah, I'm the VCC."

Cassie points at Kit. "And you can be Mr. Shadowcat, sometimes!"

 

[Tiresias the sage]

Kūsho smiles at the comment.
