    Name

    Poppy

    Age

    20

    Personality

Poppy...well Poppy considers herself bat-shit crazy in all the right ways. She’s like an overly excitable little girl, although her excitement comes more from blood, guts, death, and hot metal firing away rather than boys, or other silly nonsense. No matter what gun it is you can about bet your ass that
Ohhhh man...this baby can purr....and she makes me purr....mmmm
Poppy, after firing a really big gun
Poppy not only knows her way around it but could also take it apart and resemble it perfectly. Guns, explosives, and death all excite Poppy far more than anyone or thing has ever managed to do. Poppy’s greatest love is the cool smooth gunmetal of most any gun, the way it shakes as she pulls the trigger, the death it delivers to those of her choosing.

    Biography

Poppy is from an outer world known as Helion-Sigma, a rather lawless world where the strong survive and the weak die. Her actual birthplace is unknown to even her at this point in time. She simply remembers stowing away on a ship from somewhere and getting dumped on Helion-Sigma. Her first few years consisted of the weakness being beaten out of her as she was kicked around the streets of Helion, but eventually there was none of this weakness left. And so it was make it or break it time, and Poppy made it. Oh she made it rain blood, assorted body parts, and various shell casings over the next 10 years.

And then news got out about Pandora and it’s vault and, being Poppy, she couldn’t help but feel like Pandora sounded like her place, and with treasure to boot! Oh yes Poppy would blaze a storm across Pandora...

    Action Skill

    Make it Rain

Poppy begins firing a metric fuckton of explosive rounds and, typically, her victims become showers of gore and guts.

    Name:

    Rhody Simmons

    Age:

    23

    Appearance:

    View attachment 150751

    Personality:

Rhody hates one thing above all others: boredom. She will doing anything to keep the feeling at bay, fighting and killing being a few of her favorite ways to do so. She is one of those people who never like to do things the easy way and prefer a challenge. This leads her to do some drastic things, especially in battle, putting her life in immediate danger just for the thrill. Rhody doesn’t care what others think, she will do exactly what she wants to do and not a single person is going to get in her way. She could care less what others do, if they benefit her it’s a plus and if they are against her…well it’s a way to relieve her boredom.

    History:

Rhody started off as a normal child, she had loving parents, a few siblings, her life was normal. She had it all but none of it was enough to cure her, she suffered from a horrible disease: boredom. She ran away from her perfect home to search for a cure, anything that could remove this madness. For a few months she searched, not finding anything that could help her predicament but then she stumbled upon a group of bandits. The group was robbing a convoy, guns were being fired, a vehicle exploded, people jumping from car to car, screaming, it exhilarated Rhody. From that moment she knew this was the life she was meant to lead, this was how she was to cure her boredom.

She joined up with the bandits not long after her experience, which was when a new problem for her arose: she never really learned how to use a weapon. And so the training began, she was tested with all sorts of weapons but the buzzaxe stood out to her. It could cut through bodies like butter, made a sound that filled her with excitement, and brought her into the middle of a battle where boredom was never an option…it was perfect.

Once her weapon was chosen, she practiced with it against her fellow bandits. She defended her group against the bandits of other groups that made the poor choice of invading their territory, even taking the mask off her first kill and keeping it as her own. Once again Rhody had it all, the friends, the action, the money, but that boredom returned. She decided to leave her old life for a new one, it worked well for her last time. She began jumping around from group to group looking for a cure to her boredom. She began making a living this way, killing for both profit and fun, constantly jumping from place to place, she almost began to get bored with it. Then, she heard someone talk about a mysterious vault… “Sounds like an adventure.”

    Name:

    Aaron Bistros, the dotEXEcutioner

    Age:

Unknown, possible mid 30s to 40s

    Personality:

Aaron is rather closed off at times. He doesn't talk much about himself on his own choice, but is not completely distant when someone asks. He will only tell them a limited amounts of information, thinking it will distract him from whatever he is doing at the present time if he gives them a longer, drowned-out version. He is rather calm in nearly any situation, knowing that a level head is better than anything else. Any ideas he comes up for a fight usually are dangerous, usually with him and others charging into a fight so they can defeat the enemy from the inside and work their way outwards.

    History:

Not much is known about Aaron. Most of the people that remember him tend to be local bar-goers and the occasional law enforcement of any sort of well-off city on a multitude of planets. Most people remember him for his eerie appearance, the dark and foreboding garb he wears making him seem like a sort of executioner. The metal mask that prevents people from seeing his face also make for quite an intimidating look. It gives his voice a more airy tune to it, almost like he is barely human himself. But, he is adamant that he is one.

When a brave soul asks about Aaron and his past, he gives them the basic rundown. He works as a bounty hunter sometimes, and other times he is an explorer. He was born on the planet Pandora, though he soon was relocated with his now dead parents to another planet called Hidro. He learned how to hunt from his father, and learned how to take care of himself from his mother. When he was old enough, he left Hidro, and began exploring the other planets. He began becoming a more avid hunter, hunting down people for cash if anyone needed it done. He soon returned to Hidro to check on his parents, only to find them killed. After that, he wandered the galaxy, doing what he did best for cash.

One day, Aaron received a message. News came to him easily, which made it easy for him to learn of the apparent riches located on Pandora. Aaron was not interested in looking for this mysterious Vault at first, but soon began finding he was not as accepted on his usual planets compared to before. He began becoming that of an intergalactic criminal, being hunted down himself for his hunting. In the end, he collected all the money he had and paid for a trip to Pandora as soon as possible...

    Abilities/Action Skill:

    G0L3MTR4P

Aaron can digistruct a large metal beast to help him fight. This robot resembles a giant lumbering golem, hence it's name. It walks around, and helps in drawing fire from enemies, giving Aaron chances to take them out. It also shares a shield with Aaron, as well as the element of it's attacks based on Aaron's currently equipped weapon.

    BACKGROUND

Born to a recently homeless woman and dead father, Kai was given her name by a caring woman at a Shelter who helped her mother give birth since they couldn't get to a hospital in time, nor could they afford to pay for any bills. Amazingly the baby girl didn't get ill and was perfectly healthy, if on the small side. Her mother seemed to love her and enjoy taking her with her everywhere as she tried to find money, but as it became obvious that everyone was judged within seconds, no one would hire a homeless woman with a baby attached to her hip in this big a city. No one would give the new mother a chance, and the only way she could earn money to even try to support her daughter was to sell her body. Kai was always left with a kind and trustworthy worker at the Shelter they stayed at as often as possible while her mother went off and tried her best to make money.

This continued for about five years with her mother often 'forgetting' to pick her up from the workers, causing them to either leave the young child or take her home with them for the night. They were kind-hearted people so they refused to just leave the innocent girl alone, but they were upset about doing it continuously. It got to a point so bad that one woman, Jenna Lankford finally decided to never bring Kai back. Jenna had a nice home and plenty of money to support the little five year old, so she did. When Kai's mother left her with Jenna on the night of her sixth birthday the woman left quickly. Leaving Chicago the woman took Kai to New York, staying in an area close to the S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters.

It wasn't hard for Kai to fall in love with her new mother. She was kind and attentive and always warm and fed, there wasn't anything to dislike. For five years she lived in New York, attending school and living with Jenna, even taking on her last name. She didn't have many friends, coming into the area so late, but she was friendly, if a bit shy. She was liked by many, but never got close to anyone because she didn't know how to make an effort to be anything other than quiet. For six years Kai lived with Jenna and, after two years of living with her, Tyler, who became her older brother, for reasons Kai didn't know. Just that he was in trouble and Jenna was the only one who could look after him. Kai didn't mind and got along with the older boy easily. He was five years older than her and often teased her for her quiet nature. Life was good.

It was the night of her eleventh birthday that everything fell to ruin. Tyler had been gone for the week, something personal according to Jenna, and her adoptive mother was going to throw a small party once he got back, but they were still going to celebrate that night, just the two of them. Kai couldn't wait.

She'd been at the park playing with a few other girls, and was running late to get home. She was skipping up the steps of their building when she realized that the lights were off. Finding that strange, but having seen stranger from before Jenna took her in, she carried on, climbing the two flights of stairs to reach her home. Unlocking their door and stepping inside Kai started to become worried at seeing all the lights out and no sounds of shuffling. Turning on the lights, she was shocked to see the murdered form of her mother. Frozen in horror, she almost missed the warning written in blood on the wall.
    You're next...

Scared beyond belief, Kai took off. Not bothering to grab anything she ran. She could faintly remember what it had been like to live on the streets and she remembered Jenna telling her where to go if for some reason she needed shelter. Being extremely smart for her age, Kai did exactly as she was told and hid in the first shelter she could find, and she still doesn't know how long.

The next few months to a year were a bit of a blur to Kai. She stayed at the shelter and sometimes in the park, stealing food from stores and super markets to survive. The day that stood out to her was the day she woke up to find an older woman standing over her, a stern look in her eyes. Kai soon learned that the woman was Melinda May.

May dragged Kai with her, having been keeping an eye out for her ever since Jenna had died. Her adoptive mother had formerly been a S.H.I.E.L.D agent and had been looking after Tyler who held the possibility of becoming an agent. May had known Jenna, and upon her death had promised to herself to keep an eye out for the child that had been left behind.

Not knowing what else to do, Kai followed May, who gave her two options. Be put into an S.H.I.E.L.D Academy or put into a foster system. Choosing the former, Kai was quickly added to the Academy of Operations, where upon graduation, May became her SO.

    PERSONALITY

Bluntly, Kai is socially inept. Extremely inept.

Okay, that's not all she is, but it's a huge part of her. Kai is extremely serious about her work, and comes off serious about pretty much anything. This really just stems from her lack free time as a child. Tied in with a bit of shyness around unknown people with awkwardness when it comes to social interactions in general, Kai is a bit of a mess. A well meaning mess. She's a hard worker who dedicates her entire being to her cause or what she believes in. She's loyal and strong in essence that it's difficult to break her and she will never turn her back on someone.

Alongside her 'tough work' personality, Kai is pretty much a sweet girl. She enjoys helping others, even though she doesn't really know how to offer her assistance. She's caring and definitely shy and wary about and around those she doesn't trust. After not having the best childhood until she was five years old, Kai mostly wants to enjoy her life, and working for S.H.I.E.L.D helped her do that. Upon its fall, Kai's heart might as well have broken in sadness, especially at the fact that Hydra had risen again.

    WRITING SAMPLE

Laying flat on her back, Kai winced as her arm shifted and her muscle moved. Not such a good idea. She sighed before steeling herself for the pain, and pushed herself up into a sitting position where she could see her mentor, May. She wanted to run and hide at the look she saw on her SO's face.

    "That was terrible."

Kai winced, knowing it was true.
"I'm sorry..." she muttered, looking down. Feeling her hair fall over her shoulder from it's place in a high ponytail, the brunette reached up and ripped the hair tie out, letting her curly hair fall, letting it stick to her sweat covered neck. "I messed up, I know I did." she sighed. "Not enough sleep, I'll do better next session."

As she watched May nod and turn before disappearing through the door to the gym, the nineteen-year-old girl sighed again, knowing her mood wasn't likely to improve. Today was obviously one of those days. Where her mind was stuck in the past. And so far, it was off to a great start.

With her thoughts taking a dark turn, no matter how much she wished for it to stop, her mind forcefully brought up the nightmare that had shortened her sleep. Closing her eyes, Kai could picture it, as if that night was only yesterday. The dark and quiet hallway. The loud echoing creak of the door as she gently shoved it open. And suddenly there was red. Dark liquid crimson stained her vision, and the eleven year old Kai flinched, recognizing the form of her mother, soon followed by the understanding of the words that she now realized weren't meant for her.

    "You're next..."

With a loud gasp, Kai snapped out of her memories. Eyes wide and body trembling, she sat shocked for a few moments before slowly pushing herself off the training mat.
"I-I...I need a shower..." she mumbled to herself, hurriedly leaving the room.

    Jinora Nora Jin Estheim

    Gender:

    Female

    Age:

    19

    Hair Color:

    Brown

    Eye Color:

    Natural – blue

    Artificial – gray

    Height:

    5’5”

    Weight:

    152 lbs

    Personality:

Jin tends to be a more withdrawn person when everything boils down. She is willing to get to know people and would love to have friends, but her current situation makes that a difficult thing to achieve. It has been 6 years since she met someone who could’ve potentially been a friend to her so her social skills need a bit of work although there is a foundation there. When she first meets someone, Jin tends to be shy because she is afraid of messing the conversation up; once she gets to know a person, it can be hard to shut her up.

Given her current situation as well as the life she has been put through, it is no surprise that Jinora Jin is a serious person. She never takes an assignment lightly and she never accepts failure – at least, not without giving it a second go. She is a really persevering person and she doesn’t believe in giving up on anything. This cross applies to life as well. Jin has had many opportunities to just give up on being Jin, but she never took the easy way out. She’s been held captive for the past six years of her life, but she’s still alive and kicking. She’s not about to give up her life anytime soon because there’s too many valuable things she could do with it.

One thing Jin really struggles with is humor. She will laugh when something is obviously supposed to be funny, but it’s not really something that makes any sense to her. She wishes she got it; she wishes she understood why so many people laugh when someone else says certain things, but most of the time, Jin is oblivious.

Jinora Jin has a pathological fear of the dark that exists because she was born blind and the whole first thirteen years of her life were complete and total darkness. Darkness is something that is hard for her to encounter now because of her new eyes, so the issue of her fear rarely comes up, but when there is total darkness for her, Jin will enter panic mode and it will be near impossible to bring her out of it.

Another fear – perhaps not as logical – of Jin’s is her fear that everyone she meets will try to steal her eyes. She spent the first thirteen years of her life blind and she’s not about to go back. This is another reason why Jin can come off as seemingly withdrawn. It even gets so bad sometimes that she can be easily mistaken as a schizophrenic thinking everyone is out to get her. It’s not really her fault, though, either. Everyone she has met since she got her eyes has been trying to steal them from her.

Generally, Jinora is a very calm person as well. She doesn’t anger easily, but when she does get mad, she’s liable to beat someone up. One of the easy ways to unleash her rage is to refer to her by either Jinora or Nora. Nora was her father’s nickname for her so when people use it, it brings back memories that she doesn’t want to remember – ever! Jinora also happens to contain the nickname within it so calling her that can be just as bad.

Jinora Jin is also very number smart. She was homeschooled by her father who was both a geneticist and a software engineer. Math was very much a part of his life so it was heavily emphasized in her schooling as well. Given that she grew up blind, Jin can do a lot of complex math in her head and it is actually one of the ways she grounds herself when she gets angry or fearful. Jin loves working with codes and messing with the coding on a lot of the technological things she finds although she’s not very good at putting things together herself. She can write the code for something new, no problem, but when it comes down to actually building it, Jin is as lost as anyone else.

    Flaws:

    Stubborn

    Fear of the Dark

    Seemingly Schizophrenic

    Withdrawn

    Lack of Humor

    Too serious

    Strengths:

    Never Gives Up

    Generally intelligent

    Wants to Make Friends

    Highly Protective of People

    Loves Life

    Biography:

Jinora was born to Dr. Roger Estheim and his wife Melody. The news they received on the day of her birth was not something either parent was prepared for, but it was something they had to deal with nonetheless. Their daughter was born blind. Jinora would never see the world as they did even though her beautiful blue eyes were nothing short of normal appearing. Something was wrong with her optic nerve and data was not adequately transmitted to her brain so that signals could be converted into images. Both of her parents were devastated.

Dr. Roger Estheim became so upset that he spent the next two months locked in his lab. He was determined to believe that he could give their lovely daughter her sight back if only he worked hard enough on it. He didn’t realize that in his determination, he had left his wife all alone to raise the infant, though. One morning she burst into his workroom in the basement, crying with Jinora in her arms. The infant was also crying as Melody screamed at her husband. She complained that their daughter was now two months old and she hadn’t spent a moment of that time with her father. She deserved better than that. Melody threw Jinora into her father’s arms and stormed out, never to be seen again. Jinora, for the remainder of her childhood, was raised by her father.

Regardless of being raised in a single parent household, Jinora had a fairly wealthy childhood. Her father was a well-known inventor and there was never a point in time where Dr. Roger didn’t have enough funds to raise his daughter adequately. Although it was a bit awkward for her father at first to raise a child on his own, he came to really love his daughter. They would play together when she was young and anyone who saw them together would fail to realize that Jinora was blind because he didn’t treat her like she was fragile or different from any other child in any way. Her father eventually came to decide that his daughter’s name was a little long and he came to love calling her Nora. She loved the nickname and even asked her teachers to call her Nora when she started school.

School was where Jinora began to realize she was different from everyone else. There were lessons where she was pulled out of the classroom and sent to work with a special teacher and she instantly didn’t like it. It confused the other kids as well and they began to exclude her slowly but surely because they thought something was wrong with her. Eventually, Jinora complained to the teachers at school and the actually had to explain to her that there was something in the world that she was missing, that she was blind and some of their lessons just weren’t designed to work if you couldn’t see. The teachers were surprised that Jinora seriously didn’t know.

It wasn’t really that she didn’t know. Jinora always knew that there was something missing; it was like an odd sense, but it was there. She just didn’t think it was that important. After school on that day, Jinora cried and ran into her father’s arms. She said that she wanted to see. It sounded fantastic and she asked why it was stolen from her. Her father comforted her as best as he could and he decided to pull her from school and teach her himself. He had plenty of spare time on his hands and it was obvious that school was distressing her.

And so Jinora’s relationship with her father progressed even further. Her father became her teacher. He skipped a lot of the writing and reading lessons because he wasn’t quite sure how to teach them to her when she couldn’t see. Jinora did learn brail to an extent although she didn’t put a lot of her heart into it because even then she was determined to be able to see someday, and if she could see, then there wouldn’t be a point to knowing to read brail. That left math. Dr. Roger loved teaching his daughter mathematics because it was something he had a passion for and it was something that you didn’t need to see to understand the concept of. Jinora quickly caught on to the general idea – she took after her father in that area. Often even after their lessons were complete, Jinora would work on her math because she wanted to make things like her father did and she understood that math was important for that.

Unbeknownst to his daughter, when their lessons were complete, he would return to his lab. His daughter’s distress at not being able to see had motivated him to return to the work he had started right after she had been born. Most of the time, he worked while she was asleep because he knew that it would be bad to leave her alone and because he deeply cared about her. He knew that Jinora didn’t need an absentee father in her life, not when her mother had abandoned them.

As Jinora continued to grow up, she began to notice more and more that her father was becoming absent from her life – not physically, but mentally. During their lessons in numbers, he tended to let her lead her own studies more and more often. He often was too tired to lead them himself and when he did seem to be awake, it was clear that his mind was in other places. Jinora didn’t really mind too much. He was still around when she needed him to be, they still were able to do things together, and she understood that he hadn’t really submitted any of his own work lately because he was raising her so she just assumed he was working on something important.

Then, one morning, Jinora was woken up by a knock on the door and she ran downstairs to open it only to hear her father yell at her to stop just before she grabbed the door knob. That was the first time Jinora was told to go hide by her father, at which she hid in the coat closet, closing the door so even she knew she wasn’t visible. Jinora heard the conversation well enough, though. Apparently, it had been years since her father had submitted any research to his workplace so his supervisor was here to see what he was working on. She could tell that her father really didn’t want to let him into the workshop simply by the way he tried to get out of it. Eventually, though, Jinora heard a loud thump followed by the sound of footsteps trampling down the stairs.

The then nine year old girl peeked out of her hiding place, not because she wanted to see – she couldn’t see – but because part of her knew that her father was on the floor, that the thump she had heard had been him hitting the floor. She wanted him to see her. He did and immediately he had her hide in the closet once again. Jinora didn’t understand why he was hiding her from his boss, but she knew better than to ask questions like that at a time where he was as panicked as he was.

Jinora did continue to listen from the closet though. She heard when her dad’s boss came back upstairs, seemingly delighted by something he had found. He even went so far as to help her father back onto his feet and pat him on the back, saying that he wanted to hear when his project was finished because it was brilliant. There would be so many companies interested in the development that their company would never need to sell another product – that’s how fabulous it was apparently. Jinora didn’t understand what they were talking about as the conversation continued further because it turned into a more science oriented conversation, but she understood that her dad’s boss left on a good note.

Immediately after they finished their conversation, her father dragged her out of the coat closet and sent her to pack all of her things. Jinora was given thirty minutes and she really didn’t understand what was going on, but she wasn’t about to argue with her father. Jinora just packed her things and brought her bags out to the car. After they were moving, Jinora began asking her father questions. She asked him what he was working on. She asked him why they were leaving. She asked him if they were ever coming back. He looked back at her, his face full of concern. He seemed hesitant to answer her questions, but as she prodded more and more Jinora eventually got answers.

He was developing a technology that would allow him to give her her eyes back, and it was designed to be so much more than that. However, one of the components was something he didn’t trust the company with, something he had been keeping secret for so long because he was afraid of what it could do. It was a tech that could help a lot of people, people with prosthetics and people lacking senses, but it could also lead to extreme enhancements of the human body and he was afraid of how much damage that could cause.

Jinora didn’t quite understand her father’s fear, but she understood that the fear was intense and that she wasn’t going to be able to talk him out of it. With that being said, Jinora and her father were on the run for the next five years of her life. He spent a lot of time working on his project and now that Jinora knew it was for her, she didn’t really mind all that much. Every night, after dinner, they would always do math problems together. Jinora was insistent that she needed it, when, in reality, she just wanted to spend more time with her dad in the midst of all his work.

The more time they spent in hiding, the more frequent their move from place to place became as her father became more and more terrified that someone was going to find them before his work was finished, before he was able to give Jinora her sight back. Although Jinora outwardly whined about it, internally, she was surprised to learn the true depths of her father’s love for her.

Then, suddenly, finally, her father’s work was complete. Having spent all of their time on the run doing work for various people as a mechanic and engineer, Dr. Roger Estheim had saved up enough funds to hire a surgeon who would be able to implant new eyes into his daughter. Jinora suddenly became nervous. It seemed as though some of her father’s fears that people were out to get them had spread to her although she didn’t let that stop her from excitement about the fact that soon, she would be able to see. Jinora gave her father a hug before they prepped her for the operation. Little did she know, it was the last time it would ever happen.

Although Jinora knows nothing about what happened while she was anesthetized, she can easily assume that all hell broke loose. She woke up still on the operating table. The first thing she could notice was the fact that the operation had somehow been successful. She could see. Jinora was almost too shocked by that simple fact to notice everything else around her, although the initial shock wore off and she quickly took in the scene that surrounded her. All of the operators, the surgeon and the nurses, were dead on the floor laying in pools of their own blood.

And lying at the door leading out of the operating room, his body being squished inside by the door that was trying to close despite the fact that he was in the way, was her father. Jinora didn’t quite realize that it was him, of course. It was the first time she was ever seeing; she had never seen him before. Then her eyes did something funny, though. As she looked at the body stuck in the doorway, her vision zoomed in on the figure and labeled it for her: Dr. Roger Estheim. Even then, it took Jinora a moment to understand. She had run her fingers over the shapes of the letters before and she knew how to spell somewhat. Eventually, she figured it out. Jinora screamed before running over to the collapsed form of her father.

Written in blood by his body was one word: Run. Her father was no longer breathing. There was nothing she could do. Jinora ran her hands over his pockets, looking for anything he might’ve had on him, anything that she could claim as hers to remember him by. She knew that he would want her to find anything before someone else did. On his person, Jinora only found two things. One of them looked like a small computer chip. She also found his ID badge. Jinora keeps these items on her person to this day and has never told another soul about their existence.

Jinora spent the next two years on the run, learning how to survive and learning how to see the world through her new eyes. One thing quickly became clear. Even though she could see, her vision was not normal; it wasn’t what she had expected it to be. She could do things with her eyes that other people couldn’t. It was like a camera almost. She could zoom her vision in and out and there were other things as well – things she still didn’t understand. It was during this time as well that Jinora figured out that the chip she’d found on her father was meant for her. There was a spot in the side of her head where it would fit perfectly. Jinora has never used it, though. She’s afraid of what it might do.

Eventually, whoever had been after her father’s technology caught up with her. Jinora was surrounded by strange men with guns in the middle of nowhere and she had no choice but to stop running. When they asked her what her name was, Jinora was surprised. They really didn’t know who she was. Apparently her father had kept her entire existence a secret. It was only then that Jinora really thought about her name and what it meant to her. Her father had always called her Nora, and she wanted to save that for him. She certainly wasn’t going to let the people who had killed him use his name for her. So Jinora picked the other half of her full name. She told them her name was Jin. Although they eventually found out her real name, they quickly learned that the use of her full name unleased a deadly rage within the girl. She has since been Jin and only Jin.

They wanted her eyes. Jin’s eyes were the only remaining form of her father’s synthetic nerve tissue and Jin was living proof that it worked. When Jin figured this out, she threatened to destroy her eyes herself – no doubt it would kill her in the process as well – and hide the tech from them forever. They weren’t going to have that. The men took Jin captive on that day. To her knowledge, they intend to keep her alive and use her while they can. Jin knows they still want her eyes though and she guards her secrets of them with the utmost jealousy.

Jin was put through some training so she could be of use to the group. She was turned into a weapon and taught how to truly use her eyes. She learned that she never had to endure darkness again because her eyes gave her so many other ways of seeing even when there was no light. Finally, when Jin could hold her own in a fight, Jin was sent on her first mission. The researchers knew that she wouldn’t fail; if she did, they would kill her when they found her again and by this point, Jin really wanted to live. She wanted to live so that someday, she could destroy them; so that one day, she could be free like her father would’ve wanted.
