PLOT
In the world of Pokemon, there were two main beings that had the spotlight shined on them: Pokemon, and humans. The two worked together on numerous endeavours. Whether it be an attempt to reach the top, construction assistance or general companionship, Pokemon and humans lived together in harmony...albeit with the former being captured within tiny balls.

This relationship lasted for countless years. There was no grey area between Pokemon and humans. It was either you were the former, or the latter. Slowly and slowly, this rift began to slowly converge into one species: the gijinka. The citizens of Pokemon's many regions never knew where they came from, nor were they enthused by their semi-human brethren. They were confused, worried, and undeniably scared of these freaks of nature. If the small amount of gijinka banded together, no doubt would they easily take over the human populace. Thus, humans began capturing gijinka for experiments to understand them further. Perhaps, they could force some sort of cure into each of them.

The humans began working on this supposed cure in secrecy, capturing various gijinkas as test subjects. Most of them were...wrongfully mistreated to say the least. The specifics were never disclosed, nor were they asked. Who would question the testing if no one knew about it?

In the midst of this, the many regions began to build academies promoting unity between gijinka and humans. They gave false impressions of embracing gijinkas all for the sake of biding time as their cure was being created. This seemed to work, and as mob mentality follows, most humans acted as if or were okay with gijinkas.

It's been roughly a year since the announcement of these various academies. While most are still under construction today, one has been completed: New Future Academy.
