Fantasy Shura Academy: How Strong is Your Punch!? (Martial Arts/Super Power/ School RP)

Been awhile mon ami. If your remaking Ceaser I guess I will have to make a new version of Ryujin.

Nah, I deviated with the personality slightly and gave him a completely new set of powers.

Also we have waaaaaaaay too many people who can use electricity, so the thunder demon god idea won't be very interesting/unique this time around.

Alright thanks for the heads up. Haven't looked at the characters yet so this lets me come up with something different.

We have a few more martial artists than contractors and there are still a few council positions available for both.

YungJazz YungJazz When we getting that ooc and ic boi?

Webs Elk Webs Elk Btw just confirming, are we cool to have our characters be outright rivals with a history in the school? I was a little vague about it in my bio, but we can discuss if you're down with it?

Sure! We can come up with an exact relationship in a PM

I can just imagine the interactions between Maya and Ken, especially since Ken is very small, especially compared to like everyone so far.

Debated about changing character idea since there were already a few japanese characters.

"Well there aren't that many, I'll just go for it"

Three more people make japanese characters while I work on my CS.
*sigh

It just means that Japan is a Contractor/Martial Artist Production powerhouse in the world XD

XD I am worrying about the same thing too. One moment nothing was filled, the next day a bunch of slots and guys were made.

Gotta make a character before a flood of Greek Mythology contractors arrive

I'll do something less popular for my second character. Normally I try to avoid this sort of thing but I really like the lil ninja I came up with so I'm sticking with her.

She has a very dutifully loyal right hand man as well, don't forget. ; )

Rip, I'm already there. ^u^
I've specified that my family specialised in Greek mythology contracts. Wanna be a part of/a branch of my family? Supposing you're going for a Greek myth contract, that is.

Sure! Right now my first character is a contract of Apollo (I know more stories of him), and the other is a Martial Artist.

I didn't plan on doing a rejected contract thing, but I think she would fit well being connected to my first character.

I have her planned to be emancipated from her immediate family and living with removed cousins.

Wait was it really okay for you to monopolize Greek mythology contracts? >.>

Specialising in Greek mythology contracts and monopolising them are entirely different. They have dedicated generations-worth of time into perfecting their contracts with the Greek gods. That doesn't mean no one else can make a contract with those gods. It just means they likely won't get as powerful contracts as they would with my family (or maybe they would if they had also spent many generations-worth of time into perfecting their contract).

Sorry it kind of just came off as that. Is this every Greek god, or just certain ones? Greek gods aren't particularly always on good terms with each others so I can't imagine they would be happy if one generation was in a contract with Hera, then switched to Hercules the next generation.

Not trying to be rude, I just ask a lot of questions.

If they specialized in contracting with one god wouldn't that be much stronger then a family that contracts with all of them?

I have more questions that Kloudy Kloudy has made me think about.
If generations of a family line sticks to one Myth contract, do these contracts get stronger?

Also are there anything more with these contracts? Is it just a "if you praise me and only me, you get lots of powers" sort of thing?

That's what I'm wondering
^-^;;;
Personally I was planning on having my character be part of a family that has specialized with Apollo for many generations the moment I read about the contracts.

I didn't know the contracts would be stronger from that o.o;;; but it does make sense, especially when it comes to Greek Myths.

You would think the gods would reward loyalty with more power

That's what I'm thinking. So if your family line has multiple contracts with different Gods, that would cause some beef.
I'm not sure about other myths, but Greek Gods are known to get very . . . immature when it comes to that sort of thing.

Only the Olympians and some minor gods (such as Janus).

If they specialized in contracting with one god wouldn't that be much stronger then a family that contracts with all of them?

They are a noble family that has many branches, so it's quite a large group of followers with a lot of reach and influence. Each family branch specialises in its own Olympian and some of the really smaller ones get a minor god (again, such as Janus). Otherwise, I would assume you are correct.

Basically, if your family specialised in only Apollo, then you'd probably get a better contract than I could with my family. It all depends on how long you've upheld the secrets of the contract for and how many practice/believe in it (or so I assume).

Just to make it clear, William's family is part of a larger branch of families that all believe in different gods and their contracts. No one family believes in the same god. There shouldn't be any clash, but members of each family may still contract with gods from another family if they choose to believe in that one instead (although this will likely displease their original family and god).

Actually, it's all up to the Contractor for how strong your contract is. Yes a family can be aligned with a certain Myths pantheon, an example being the Irish Pantheon:
A Contractor can have Lugh the Irish Sun God as a Contracts, but then another Contractor can have Cu Chulain as theirs. Making a stronger contract and gaining more powers is all up to the Contractor themselves. It's all about how a individual Family memeber contracts with that indvidual Myth.

If they specialized in contracting with one god wouldn't that be much stronger then a family that contracts with all of them?

Like I said, its all up to the individual contractor for how powerful they can become. The family contracts are more for obtaining weapons/artifacts from said myths. It's rare for people to stumble upon excalibur out of no where, but if the myth in charge of it decided you are strong and worthy enough to wield it, they'll guide you to it, give it to you, or make you do some sort of test for it.

In conclusion, family pacts have nothing to do with your powers, only weapons/artifacts. Its all up to you for how powerful the contractor is.
