Candy smiled as she looked to Miles. She wasn't sure if this evening was a date but she felt like it was. She hoped she looked nice as she would normally dress up a bit nicer for an actual date. She figured she must look okay if Miles wanted to hang out with her after school. Candy couldn't help but wonder if he liked her as a friend or more than that, because she knew she would like their relationship to be more than friends. Regardless, he must at least like her enough to invite her to his, so that made her feel great in itself. What she knew for sure was that she felt great when she was with him, like he really wanted to be with her and enjoyed her company. She certainly liked her usual group of friends, but they were all for the most part paired off so she always felt a little left out. Candy's eyes were then cast towards Sean as he sat next to Laura with his arm around her. Thinking about how unappreciative and belittling he had been towards her when they dated only made her feel stupid. She'd been so naive and 'honoured' when she dated that guy that she was blind to him making a fool out of her. She had since learned of the joke and realised Sean was a waste of space. She could tell Miles was a decent guy and a million times better than Sean.
When the bell sounded, Candy began collecting her things together and slotting them into her backpack. "Of course I'll walk with you, it'll be a pleasure, good sir," she playfully replied, putting on a ladylike voice. Then it dawned on her what the next class was. "Oh no. Not history," she scoffed. "I want to discover the future, not the past!"
