Shinobi [Inactive]

"Project?" She barely cared and it was probably noticeable through her voice. "Look you can inject me and my whole f.uckin family if you just cut this damn stuff off." She barely twisted in the plastic before facing the ceiling again in defiance. "Besides, I'm self conscious. I'd prefer to have some clothes like a real lady would I n the presence of a little boy." Her eyes shined towards his, keeping her smile at bay
The pain stopped almost instantly, as if it had never happened in the first place. What the hell...?

She layer there, feeling something internally shift and not able to speak. Blue filtered back into her eyes like they had been drained years ago

Nano-philothropic transmitters. Millions of them. Essentially, tiny robots that I have linked and set to my neural frequencies, so that if I choose you to feel pain, you do."

"On the brightside though, if I tell them to heal you, they will do it instantly. Consider it a gift. So long as you work for me, no one will be able to harm you or kill you. You'll heal faster then they will hurt you. However, should you do anything I dislike.... PAIN." He snapped his fingers once more and a fluster of pain rushed to her

Her body jerked upwards, feeling the rush of energy surging through and somehow past her veins. She let herself scream this time.

"F.UCK ! OK!" She agonized, twisting harder before another moment of pain came, "I get it, no let me the f.uck out of this!"

He gazed at her blue eyes before letting out a heavy sigh.

"Yes it does. Now..."

He threw off the blanket and with a blade he drew from the counter point, he cut the plastic and leather holding her down.

"...get dressed."

He threw a pile of clothing hit the ground
"I took the liberty of modifying your old costume," he said pointing to the clothes in the heap

Not failing to make eye contact, she stared sat the man relentless, shoving the plastic and leather bounds off of her and sitting upright on the table. She leaned down to grab the pile of clothes, still asking sure their eyes never left each other.

"It's not polite to stare," she said through clenched teeth, seeing as he was still looking towards her and her bare body. The clothes appeared to be that of a females kimono. She wanted to laugh but certainly didn't feel up to it. She held the dress out in front of her and quickly ripped the top open, using the torn strip to wrap around her breast. She slid into the destroyed kimono, so that it fell off of her shoulders. Un satisfied, she reached down and ripped another section of her dress at the knee, so that the skirt was high enough to bend her knees, but the fabric still lay trailing behind her. she pulled her black hair out onto one of her shoulders and turned around.

"Hope you don't mind the alterations"

----------

"Where the hell is she."

"We lost her tracking at the Shubio home an hour or so ago..."

"It's probably that damn boy again. She's too easily distracted....Fine. Send our men out there and find that b.itch before I rip her head off myself."

"Yes sir."

Eve sat quietly, for once, on one of the lavish couches that were about this home she only slightly remembered. Things had changed alot since they were kids...

Something felt different, and not in the pleasant way, or even in the 'i'm being controlled by my enemy' way. Her body felt like it was swimming with chemicals that didn't mix well with her system. She knew that at initiation into the Shinobi years ago, they injected new recruits with something as well, some kind of shot in the back of their necks. You were not allowed to ask about it, and so no one did. When she had tried finding out through a "friend" in the combines, they had quickly betrayed her trust and turned her into the authority figures of Shinobi. That man's black eyes still stayed trapped in her memory, along with what they had done as punishment. She looked down to her fingernails, but had to shove them under her legs before the memory crept too realistically back into her muscles. At least her nails grew back by now....

That wasn't the last time she questioned her higher-ups.But it certainly was one of the most memorable.

Still, that wasn't the same feeling as what she had going on within her now. She felt weak, sick....in a way younger. She had caught a glimpse of her eyes in a passing pane of glass, and seen that they had cleared up into an aqua blue. Her eyes hadn't been blue for over ten years. It was part of the injection, all of the workers of Shinobi gaining black eyes, at least, that was her closest guess. So why had it faded? And why did she feel this way? She hated it...but also recognized it. Did it have something to do with whatever ridiculous controlling serum Hitomi had just injected into her bloodstream?

It wasn't something she really wanted to think about. She rather ignore the new feelings and think.

What was she going to do. What COULD she do. Could she even do anything?

"You know they'll be here soon," she said to herself, cold, and without any inflection. It was as if her attitude had been periodically drained from her.

"I give them about four hours to find this place. But by then, it'll be too late for them." Hitomi walked over to Eve, handing her an apple.

"Here, it helps."

"Too late?" she started, taking the apple in her hands, and feeling the texture of it like she never had before. She breathed in, staring at the skin of the apple and debating on whether or not she wanted to try it.

A shiver of something still not identified ran through her arm, as she grabbed it and glared up at him. "Just because you're not anyone's b.itch doesn't make you invincible, I hope you know." A little bit of herself flashed back, as she took a bite of the apple and smirked. "You should give us little b.itches some credit. We get a lot done more than you think, babe."

As if on cue, there was a knocking sound behind heard somewhere from above. The girl still stared at him, smiling, as she pointed a finger above her. "And we're a lot faster than you remember."
The knocking above was followed in suit by a voice directly following.

"Is this the residence of Hitomi? We have a warrant to search the premises here."

The knocking picked up pace

S.hit.

"Why are you gonna do this to me? I really put some hard work into this place!"

He glared towards her for a moment before throwing on his gear. He motioned his hand in the air and the shards all came down and landed in his hand in a neat stack. He placed them in the casing on his belt, then gripped his sword handle.

"You coming?" His eyes motioned and drifted to the stairs.

She looked at him, not budging from the couch and shrugging her shoulders innocently, the pounding getting louder.

"What am I going to do, exactly?" she motioned around her to remind him that she had no weapons on her, and then cocked her head to the side with a light smile.

He loosened his grip on the hilt at his side and strode to the wall beside his bed.

"Open."

A metal panel from the wall broke away revealing a shelf of different sheathed swords. He picked up two white scabbards and offered them to her.

"This is Onami and Akami. They're twins." He paused for a moment, "...Eva? Can you handle these?" He looked back at her with blue eyes.

She took up the swords in her palms, letting the weight of them grow more comfortable in her grasp. They were beautiful. But she could only barely stifle a laugh.

"You really think I'm gonna slice up my own people, huh?" she laughed. Her narrowed eyes flickered with black, as she stood there, but her blue still crept in. "You can snap your damn fingers all you want, but your little trick of hurting me isn't half as bad as what they've shown us back in the Shinobi Base." She twirled the swords at her sides, tilting her head gently at the same time. "Don't I get a little bit of incentive?"

They could hear the door being forced open or broken into above them. Series of clamors spread out above them, as if ten men were scattering around the place and already making themselves at home. She smirked at him and stared. He better answer quick.

The white scabbards grew hot and began to burn in her hands.

Tighten.

Her hands tightened around the sheathes now searingly painful.

"I will tell you when to let go. Now listen. Whatever they did to you or told you- you're dead to them. You know too much anyway as it is."

She let out a scream as the heat and pain surged through her arms and into her spine.

"So far as I see it, you can either fight with me and kill your own people who treat you like s.hit— or I can sedate you again. Choose your pick, because either way, you can't kill yourself, or me. Believe me, I've already tried."

Stop.

Her hands let go and dropped the blazing scabbards to the ground.
He bent down and picked up her hands holding them gently in his. They were badly burnt.

Heal

And before her eyes her hands healed.

"Eva... I'm asking you as your old friend. I need your help. Please"

He searched her blue eyes hoping for an answer

Her heart felt like it stopped as soon as his hands touched hers and flowed through her a healing wave. She stared into him completely.

f.uck....she had missed him

She ripped her hands away from his, picking up the two swords and holding them at her side. She refused to look at him this time.

"Just don't get in my way," she spat, walking past him as she saw three men walking down the spiral staircase and approaching them.

One of the men was dressed heavily in blood red, his eyes black as night and his sword much different than the others.

"Eve...the board isn't very happy with you," he snarled, glancing over at Hitomi, "This must be your old friend. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." He lowered his upper half into a polite bow, the men behind him standing with their swords erect. The man's hair was ashen black that matched his eyes, and Eva sighed heavily.

"Save it, Kenji."

"Oh I will. I'll save it for the Board when we get home."

She would have spoken had she known what to say. She just walked up behind Hitomi and whispered in his ear, "If we kill him, we're dead." She rolled her eyes, "I mean, we're technically already dead, but seriously, we're f.ucked if he goes missing."

She grabbed one of the daggers from behind her back that she had snuck from his collection earlier and chucked it thoughtlessly at one of the men. He very slowly slumped down to the ground, the other men looking down at him while Eva stared still at Hitomi.

"Ready."
Kenji watched one of his men slump to the ground, slowly rearing his head to make eye contact with the girl who used to be on his team.

"Aw, little Evey...that wasn't so nice."

He glared at her with a smirk, throwing his hands forward to signal the six men to charge at the two ahead of them

His smile grew wider with her words. His short bladed hilt jumped out of it's sheathe and leapt into his hand- he immediately threw it towards the black figure standing at the top of the stairs. The katana landed square in his head, pinning him against the wall.

"Ooh! S.hit, I'm so sorry. It slipped!" He threw his hands out in shock of what had just happened as he spoke to the remaining soldier.
Hitomi's other sword was at the ready in a defensive potato on awaiting their charging prey.

Two men ran straight at Hitomi, while another two jumped towards Eva.

She knelt to the ground, avoiding two different sides of two different blades, swiping one of the swords at both of their legs, with her other sword balanced behind her. Two barely manly screams pierced the air, mainly due to the fact that the men's kneecaps were now separated from the rest of their bodies. She stood up straight, looking down at the two legless gentlemen, not budging at all.

"Oh, sorry. You can tell on me if you want to."

Still.

Hitomi waited not budging an inch as the two men raced towards him with swords drawn poised to strike.

His lip curled up and just before they were about to strike, he blurred his figure against the air and vanished before their eyes immediately. They stopped and suddenly looked about confused, they turned around seeing Hitomi standing there facing away. They lifted their arms preparing the give the killing blow then stopped suddenly unable to move further. Suddenly and all at once, both of their arms felt numb and dropped to the ground. Blood sprayed out from there surgically cut sockets as they fell to their knees. Before the had time to scream, Hitomi turned around to see them just as they head fell from their shoulders and rolled on the ground.

He cocked his head watching the rolling skulls bloodying his floors

"Really? That is imported Australian Mahogany. So rude..." He sighed heavily

She saw the crowd of remaining men beginning to charge not at her, but at Hitomi, but worry never crossed her mind. She saw Kenji run back up the spiral stairs and followed him immediately, skipping steps at a time until she hit the main floor. Almost instantly she had to dodge a blade as it sliced towards her stomach, the girl leaping back and landing on one foot. Her eyes met Kenji's as he smiled her way.

"Just wait till your Daddy hears this."

He ran at her, as she jumped and grabbed on to one of the rafters above her, swinging atop a beam connecting the ceiling. She breathed slowly, looking down at him like she had too much to say and not enough time.

"Kenji, I don't have a choice, the b.astard injected me with something-he's got me working for him..." She stayed up in the rafters, in her opinion, the only slightly safe place to be as the man paced below her and bellowed a laugh.

"You're that quick to chose the other side?" he questioned, suddenly leaping up next to her in the rafter. She stared him down, and him her as he lightly touched her face and noticed the blue in her eyes. "He really does bring back those old, ridiculous feelings."

"I don't have a choice." she demanded again, turning her head away from his hands hold.

Kenji leaned forward, and as her eyes shut forcefully, he kissed her lightly on the forehead. She had to clench her jaw so as not to scream or lash out on him, his forehead pressing against hers.

"Then I guess we'll just have to fix you at home, won't we, my love?"

It was then the girl realized how free she had felt moments before they had entered in on Hitomi's territory. Her people were the reason this world couldn't function anymore. Her people raised her to kill and enjoy the taste of her victim's blood. This man...Kenji...he was everything she had been raised to become.

But Hitomi had asked for her help. And for the first time in ten years, she felt her heart beat for someone living rather than dead.

"I'm not going with you."

A black soldier broke through the floor behind Kenji suddenly flying into the air as daggers flew after him pinning him to the ceiling. A gush of blood splattered from the hole in the floor. The screaming from the basement fell completely silent as Hitomi jumped up through the hole staring at Kenji. His eyes as black as could be-

"Don't. You. Dare. Touch her again." Hitomi glared with a violent anger towards Kenji. He pointed his sword at the man ready to kill.

Kenji leapt onto the same rafter as Eva, pulling her backward with him and he landed swiftly with his back at the door and sword at her throat. In reaction, Eva swung her blade around the back of his neck, so they were tangled in a death-threat position. Kenji's warm breath filtered into her ear as the girl gritted a smile.

"He can't kill me," she laughed, as best she could with a blade at her throat, though fear didn't seem to bother her, "just let him go, Hitomi."

"Yes, let me go, Hitome," Kenji playfully teased, pulling the girl back with him, forcing both her sword and his sword to tense against each other's skin. His black eyes glistened towards Hitome, as he knowingly overstepped his boundaries and dipped his head into Eva's black hair, smelling it close enough to her ear that she couldn't help but cringe, "you can have her in a few days....right after the wedding."
