Oh, good. I haven't played Exalted in so long I get some of the basics confused at times.
 
This does mean, however, that we're evenly matched. But since you're behind Sophia I think it's fair to say that her +2 sux from Keen Sight Technique don't help her as much as they would otherwise. So go ahead and sneak up on her if you like.
 
Seems fair. Sorrow is only going to follow her until she's in a convenient side-street for abduction.
 
Isn't it the case that the defence (i.e. the person using stealth) wins in a draw?

I'd argue that Sophia is the defending character here since Sorrow plans to abduct her and possibly tear off her limbs. And the rules aren't clear cut when it's not a case of hitting someone with an axe.
 
He's not going to tear her limbs off.


He's going to neatly amputate them with a soulsteel chakram.


If she fails to co-operate.
 
Be that as it may, do you want to write another post of stalking her, or should I take her to her car?
 
Nah, I think his stalking is well enough covered by the earlier post. Take it to the car and we'll see how he handles it.

The actions he intends following the stealth action have no bearing on the stealth roll, IMO. He's attempting to remain undetected and she is trying to defeat his attempt. At this point in time he is not attempting to attack, merely to remain incognito while he trails her. If he were attempting an ambush, i.e. sneaking up with weapons drawn and ready to fight, I'd rule the detection roll as the defence, but in this case, simply trying to remain unobserved is a defensive action.


Or the ST can rule on it/roll a dice for it.

Yes, I admit to fussing over the silliest details. The phone number convention is French btw, so someone likely has that number, and .vl seemed appropriate for Velennia, but should someone else have an opinion on this, I'm open to discussing it ;)

Also, all of you : Please give me an easy way to distinguish between speech and action. Bold, italics, color, I don't really care (althought bold is nice for speech and italics for thoughts, but that's just a personnal preference).


Esbilon, Grey, and potentially Blackadder, give me an idea of what your PC's are going to do afterwards, so I can start to work on setting the next scene(s?), and decide what we are going to rp and what'll simply pass in downtime.


As for Cpt Hesperus, Emie and Retrocity, we still need to conclude what you're currently doing before reaching any decision.
 
Sophia's plans for the immediate future are:


Go to a cafe and get a pair of double espressos and a piece of cake after changing clothes in their bathroom.


Go to her meeting at the university and restart her project with the new data.


Call the police and ask if they want to talk to her.


Then probably go home and call Ysabell in the evening, but both she and I expects Someone to interrupt her before she gets that far.
 
On the typeface issue - can do, will do.


I think Sorrow would next try to get some info out of his handlers, under the pretense of making a report and getting a new assignment.

I'll start the next acts as soon as I know what they are. I'd love to have an idea of how this one ends first, in order no to do stupid things.
 
So...


Act 2 : The Burning Tower will be featuring The Asset and possibly Ysabell. It will take place at the beginning of the night, in the middle of the business district, next to the river.


Act 3 : Law and Disorder will be featuring Sophia, as she's been summoned by the police as a witness and possible suspect in the assassination. It will take place a day after the protest, in Great Forks central police station.


Both will be up in the next 24 hours, and will be played simultaneously.


So far, we have to talk about where One for Sorrow, Enki and possibly Mathis Wayne will be active. They can join on of these act if they have a reason to (or happen to be in the right place at the right time), or try to discuss something else with me.
 
Makes me wonder if Sorrow and Asset are being handled by the same organization?
