[Shining Glass, Molten Souls] Between the lines

Sure you don't. A pretty young woman of noble lineage alone in a hotel room with a man, unaccompanied by a chaperone. And he a Jade Caste Alchemical to boot. They are almost universally renowned for their ability to go for hours and hours, their ability to be incredibly charming and their surprisingly swift minds. How scandalous!

You are the only thing here that's scandalous, captain! To make even the suggestion is an outrage against the Most Ancient and Noble House of Beufort! I shall have you in chains for such slander!

I can't even see that word as having any sexual connotation after reading Going Postal and Making Money. The only thing that jumps in my mind when I read the word moist is a spazzy gold suit with a great top hat.

How can you speak like that to a lady? Clearly your father did not spank you enough as a child! Discipline is what you need.

No, but they will be!

So, while Hesperus gets his moonsilver rocks off, any posting or developments from ye, oh BenTipex?

I have assumed that the information that Tyrell Enterprises was the place that was burning is freely available knowledge. If not, my last post should be redacted.

Since our noble ST has a penchant for adding Act theme music, had the chase sequence between The Asset and Ysabel been more prolonged I thought this song would have been appropriate:

I like it!

However, it's quite another form of chase scene that pops into my mind when I see it.

The music I would have picked, and that you may hear before the campaign is over, would be this one :

  • Okay, so... I'll be gone for the next three days (I'm going camping, and I doubt I'll be able to get an internet connexion there)

So, in order to leave all of you with something to chew on in the meantime : Act 3 is probably over, I'll leave Esbilon and Blackadder to decide what they've told each other and what they decided to do (or they can do it IC should they wish it, too.)

As for act 2, the fight and it's aftermath is still not resolved, so we'll try to do it as fast as we can once I come back. Emie told me she won't be online for the next two or three days too (she's still a bit sick, apparently), so it fits nicely? I guess?

Still, I'll leave you all with a bit of info on what happens to your character, and I'll let you discuss act four, and what you'd like it to be. Blackadder, Esbilon, Grey, and Retrocity, if you're still there!

Imma try to get one more attack in before you go AFK and into the wilds.

I'd like it if the whole group got together for act 4, Sophia can tie Mathis, Ysabell and Sorrow together. Depending on how the whole tower business ends, Ysabell might be able to drag the Asset along.

As for on-screen activities, Sophia would like to go to the moon, but that's a bit of a ways off. If she can be (relatively) sure the police are off her back, she'll also start looking into the three suspected alchie-producers in greater and less legal detail. She is also very, very interested in figuring out how alchemicals work and how to make new ones. She will do this by getting files from the three corporations, and by studying Mathis (and Sorrow) if they'll let her. I am undecided as to whether she's above using charms to get them to let her, so I'll leave that up to their players :)

Off-screen, she has coursework and AI-research to do. Since realizing that she wants to investigate the moon more closely and build supermen, she has also developed an interest in getting (filthy, stinking) rich, and will put some time into that project. Writing a program to wring money out of the stock markets seems like her style, but that is thought to be humanly impossible, fortunately, she's not human.

The Asset would like to get out of the burning tower alive and intact. That is all.

Also Artifacts.

Thanks, Ben. Really sorry about not making it into Act II, I got bogged down with a wealth of stuff and it slipped my mind to get in. Still, really enjoying your ST'ing and looking forward to the next Act.

Hello everybody. I was ill last week, I was not able to answer. I am going to do it this afternoon, and we will see if Ysabell is going to meet the Asset!

Welcome back, hope you're feeling better now. :)

Captain Hesperus

Just in time for my return, too!

So... Act four with everyone is possible, if you can wait for Act two to finish (and once the fight is done, things will move a lot faster, I think...

Still, two questions to everyone : how and where do you all intend to meet? Ysabell could reasonably share story with Sophia, which might get them to try and organise a meeting between the five of you, but otherwise...

In the meantime : Sophia is working on getting info on the three corporations, and testing Mathis, Mathis is getting tested (and eventually doing someting else?), One for Sorrow and Enki are probably busy doing research on what I mentioned up-thread, and the Asset... Well, we'll see, I guess. ^^

The issue as I see it is that while the players may want to meet, the characters currently have no reason to. They also have wildly different goals and degrees of freedom. Sophia, Ysabell and Mathis can do pretty much what they like, but the Asset and Sorrow both seem to be kept on very short leaches. Sorrow has given Sophia no way of contacting him, so he would have to take the initiative to be included in "the group" such as it is.

Depending on how long the tower act is going to continue, I might also (for selfish reasons ;) ) want to start act 4 without Ysabell and the Asset, or possibly do it in a setting where they could join (though the time difference is going to stretch the suspension of disbelief).

Mmm, depending on how damaged Tyrell is after the fire, they may need an influx of capital which Sophia would be more than happy to push her father into providing if that will help her get into their Alchemical lab.
