Shifters United (1×1 with Azimuth and DethByCoffee)

Emily was happy today. She didn't have a clue why. Could be the new forms she has learnt. Though it could also be because she slept as a snake around her hot water heater. But what ever. Right now, she was in her H1 hummer, making her way to Vincent's place. She pulled up on the side of the street and climbed out. She didn't bother using the doorbell today. She wanted to mess with him. So, walking up to the door, she turned into an ant and crawled under, close to the wall in case the door was opened. She then became a huntsman spider and scurried across the roof towards Vincent's bedroom. No doubt he'd be in there, sleeping in on this Saturday morning. Emily can't have that. She turned into an ant to get under his bedroom door and became a spider again. She began her work of blocking off the door with spiders Web. She had been practising how fast she could do it by doing it to her neighbours. And she wonders why the houses next to hers are always empty. Fifteen minutes layer, and her work is complete. The door was completely webbed up. She climbed up onto his bed and onto his face. She tickled his nose with a hairy leg. Hopefully he sneezes and sends her flying at the Web.

Vincent slept happily. His dreams filled with pranks and other nonsense. Something furry brushed against his face. His nose scrunched against the feeling. He wanted to stay asleep. This was Saturday. Now something brushed against his nose. He huffed in his sleep, twitching. The feeling didn't go away. It was sudden, the sneeze, and it made his eyes snap open as a painful breath caught in his lungs thanks to the sneeze. He rolled toward the side of the bed, coughing. "God damn it, that better not have been Emily." He muttered, yawning. He looked around, he didn't see anyone, but that didn't mean shit when you and your best friend were able to shift forms. He shifted into a silver tabby house cat that he used to torment his own neighbors, and slinked to the floor. He crouched to peer along the floor. Something caught his eye near the door. Time to investigate. He padded over, sniffing. Spider? Really? He blinked his yellow eyes and looked around for the eight legged culprit.

Emily had been launched by the sneeze and was safely nestled in the intricate wed blocking the doorway completely. She waved to him below until he saw her.

Vincent narrowed his eyes at the spider waving to him on the Web that blocked his door. It wasn't hard to shift into a matching spider and race up the Web after her.

Emily scrambled up and onto the roof. She didn't k ow what Vincent wanted, but she knew she wanted no part of it. She reached the roof and scurried along along it to the light bulb and jumped, landing on his bed.

Vincent had paused midway up the door. He watched as Emily reached the light and jumped for the bed. Using all the strength his spider body held, he leaped toward the bed, and shifted back into his cat form just as he landed. He scrambled to catch Emily in his paws. Once he felt the furry body beneath his paws, he shifted back to normal, and gently closed his hands around the spider. "Come on Emily. That was a rude awakening. You know this my day to sleep in!" He complained with a laugh, and opened his hands to peer at the spider.

Emily was suddenly human again, and fell upon Vincent. "but it's my birthday!" she called happily. "you said you were gonna take me somewhere on my birthday. I even learnt some new forms in anticipation." she displayed one of the now as she turned into a fox anthro. "see? This one's my new favourite." she said.

Vincent laughed, and shoved Emily off of himself. He cocked an eyebrow at her new form, "A fox? Cute." He chuckled, and stood, stretching. He yawned widely, "Today is your birthday? Are youbsure? I thought it was next week." He teased playfully, grinning at Emily. "I've been practicing too." He said lightly, and shifted into a silver wolf anthro. "Whatchya think?" He asked with a throaty growl - like laugh.

"of coarse I'm sure it's today! Did you forget?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "I think he's cute. I've also got this." she sat up on the bed and turned into a short-eared owl and hooted gently.

Vincent let his form shift back to his human self, and smirked at Emily. "I've seen that one before, Em." He laughed, flopping back on his bed. He yawned again, "Can we take a nap before we leave?" He joked, grinning at his best friend.

Emily looked over herself. "wait, wrong one." she suddenly turned pure white as she became a snowy owl. "that's better. And no! We leave now!" Emily barked, as snowy owls do.

Vincent groaned, and sat up. "You're so pushy." he laughed, looking at the now snowy owl that sat on his bed. "We taking your hummer or my mustang?" he asked as he stood. He moved over to his dresser, and pulled open a drawer. He pulled out a fresh shirt, and set it on the dresser before closing the drawer. He yanked off the tank top he wore to sleep in, and pulled on the new shirt, running his fingers through his hair with another yawn. He then moved to his closet, disappearing inside the walk-in to change his pants. He re-entered his room, fully clothed in fresh clothing.

"I am not pushy! You just promised a day trip. Well, it's day!" she shifted back to human. "and it depends on where we are going that decides which car we take. Where are we going?" she asked.

Vincent crossed his arms over his chest, and leaned against his dresser. "We'll take my car." he said with a smirk. "Besides, it's a surprise where we are going." he chuckled, and turned to grab his wallet and phone out of the bowl he always tossed them in so he wouldn't lose them. He tucked the wallet into his back pocket, clipping the attached chain to a front belt loop, and dropped his phone down a front pocket. "Come on." he laughed, and grabbed his dirty clothes. He wrapped them around his hand, and cleared the web from his door. "Did you have to cover so much of it?" he laughed, tossing the cobweb covered clothing aside. He opened the door, and headed down the hall.

"yes. Yes I did." she said as she followed. "will I need to get anything to get ready?" she asked. She walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around him, and turned into a snake. It was her venomous snake form, because it was the only snake form she had. She draped most of her body over his shoulders and let her head on his. That is, after wriggling her body under his shirt to help keep warm. "is it the beach?" she guest. "or are we headed to the snow?"

Vincent laughed, "Why would I take my mustang into the snow? Remember the last time we tried that?" he said as he grabbed his keys off the hook by the door. He set his hand on the door handle, "You going to stay like that, or are you going to ride normally?" he asked. He opened the door to the dark garage, and stepped through, locking it behind him.

"I never want to do that again. That ride was horrible." she said. "and I'm comfortable here. Your mustang is too small. It hits on my claustrophobia. Being a small thing helps." she explained. "and besides, you're nice and warm."

Vincent chuckled, and shook his head and he climbed into his mustang. "Alright then." he said with a shrug. He put the key into the ignition, hit the button that would open the garage door, and started the car. Once the door was clear, he put it in reverse and pulled out of the garage. He hit the button again from the street and watched as the door began to close again. "Off we go!" he cheered lightly, and drove off. It took about an hour, but they made it easily to the beach. It was a secluded area, since there was a more popular place that the tourists normally went to. He parked his car, and shut it off, climbing out. He hit the lock, and closed the door. "Happy birthday." he laughed, and trotted away from the street. He turned down the beach, and moved around a set of rocks that would hide them from onlookers.

"you're so predictable, Vin." Emily was still draped over him as a snake. "welp, good thing I prepared for a beach trip." she wrapped herself around his arm to aid her climb down onto the warm sand. She then shifted to her human form and began to strip down to a bikini. "this isn't enough, by the way." she said, then sprinted for the water.

Vincent laughed, and stripped himself down to a pair of trunks he had hidden under his pants, chasing after Emily. "Don't worry! I've got more!" he laughed as he dove into the cold ocean water.

"good!" Emily called before she dived in with a very not graceful at all belly flop. She went under for quite a while. Actually, she never came back up.

Vincent was laughing as Emily dove into the water. He waited for a moment, grinning, but as time ticked by his grin began to fade. When enough time passed that he was sure she should have come back up for air, he was near panicking. He dove under the water, shifting to his newest aquatic form, and searched through the water. Where is she!? he thought frantically.

Emily was nowhere to be seen, in any direction... Until Vincent may or may not have seen a shark girl powering through the water towards him at high speeds. She swam over him at the last second and swirled around until she was beneath him. She gave a little wave.

Vincent heaved a relieved sigh, and spun in the water to level out with her. "You scared the shit out of me. Don't do shit like that." He growled, crossing his arms over his chest. After a moment, he couldn't remain mad at his best friend and sighed. "Damn I can never stay angry with you." He complained, shaking his head with a small laugh.
