The slow fall of dead leafs gracefully fell towards their sorrowful demise to join the rest on dry cracked ground. Envious elder trees stood in watch of their lives slipping away wishing that it could do the same. Thinned branches reached for the dark grey skies like claws from hell begging for forgiveness from the heavens so that their suffering may end. Like Hell suffering is never ending much like the creatures that dwelled in the keeps of the dead, broken forest.

Hanging upside down from a thicker branch that nestled with the rest of the pleading dead weight a female slept.

Long coal toned hair waterfall end downward as it's uneven tips hovered over the ground just a bit from 140 feet within the air. Dressed in male dark robes of purple and black, with the royal crest of her people that only the inhabitants knew. The male attire and crest to keep up her fathers lie of him and his mate birthing a son to rule the throne as this their people would only accept a male heir to the throne. The lie of the princess being a false prince was only known to their family outside no one knew despite obvious female features.

Brown skin tone converting to dark grey when hungered as a living meal had not ventured through the decaying forest for months. Others had converted underground to rest until the scent of blood walked across. Dark tree nymphs and wild wolves stayed watch over the seemingly hibernating vampire elves. As nothing made a sound not even the rain and winds dared to wake such hurried, tortured souls.
