Deucalion
Firebringer
GLASS Warehouse 17
Lieutenant Manuel Clarke, X-Rank
Death, despair and all too much damage done. Manuel hated it, but what else was he supposed to do? He acted on instinct, formulating plans on the fly to subdue a dangerous criminal in as little time as possible. Thus, a wave of relief washed over him as the last-second use of the anti-power field worked. One target became two, and it became clear to the commander just how Cinder had used such unprecedented amounts of power. She was enhanced by someone else. "Subdue the other hostile!" He quickly called out, sending other GLASS agents to hold on to and cuff the "Booster" they just had discovered, while Manuel turned his attentions to Cinder.
Then, the flashbangs began.
The first bomb was disorienting, making Manuel stagger, but it was not as bad as it could have been. Luckily, modern tactical gear was made to alleviate the impact of flashbangs. In fact, the insulating nature on surrounding sound was exactly why he used an earpiece. The flash, meanwhile, was bad but ever so slightly protected against by the goggles on his gas mask. As such, it did not take him terribly long to begin sprinting, making his way towards Cinder at commendable speed, reflexively turning his head away from the following flashbangs and shutting his eyes to help against the stun further, making them a comparably minor hindrance to what they could be. He had dealt with flashbangs and worse from Iraqi forces in the past, and he was not going to let Cinder slip away like that after all the lives she had stolen. He felt a push of force moving by him, making him stagger, but he paid it no mind. His focus was entirely on his target.
