Realistic or Modern Shattered GLASS [A Modern Superhuman Story] (Always Open)

I say to Sammie, "What is wrong did something happen why are you running and telling us to run?" As he says that he runs closer to Sammie grabbing her so she doesn't fall to the ground.

Ella 'Cinder' Ashton

Location: Warehouse 17

"Aw come on, that was mine!" She playfully whined at Christine. She really liked Christine since she was like the mother she never had, not that she'd say that to her face. She's caring and attentive and ahe's really nice to Ella despite her tendency to be a snarky smartass. She definitely likes her. "It helps that I can fly!" She said in reply to what Christine said.

Just to prove a point, and to catch up to Christine's 1 kill advantage, Cinder turned ash and flew overhead. Once she found a target, some GLASS cannon fodder, Cinder plummeted to the ground in a style similar to the way she entered the roof. The result was to be expected as the cannon fodder burst into pieces from the impact.

"Whoo! Bonus points for style!" She said happily, as if it was just a game to her. Cinder didn't fail to notice the zombie like creatures. Must be from an ARK agent since none of them were attacking her. Well, them and Christine can have the cargo if they want, she's just here for the carnage.

She alternated between ash and human to quickly move around, stabbing and slicing people that gets in her way and occasionally yelling out 'Double Kill!' or 'Headshot'. To the psychopathic rich kid, this was nothing but a game to her, much to the agony of the of GLASS.

Cinder suddenly felt a force trying to grab hold of her and he just let out a derisive snort. "Too easy." She just said as she dispersed into a cloud. Trying to grab hold of her now would be like trying to hold a shadow since she doesn't have enough substance to hold. "Can't touch this! Dun dun dun dun." She said as she started humming MC Hammer's song as she was searchjng for the telekinetic one.

GLASS warehouse 17

"....Excuse me?!" Ecto really wasn't expecting this at all. His opponent had just turned into smoke. And then it clicked that he had in fact recognized this person, Cinder. One of GLASS' most wanted. That explained a lot...

Ecto then noticed a GLASS operative aiming his gun at him. It took him a moment to realize that this operative was in fact dead. A zombie that was using a gun. It was pretty obvious from the bullet wounds in his head. He telekinetically pulled one of the animate armours in front of him to block the incoming barrage of bullets. He found himself pulling more and more armours in front of him as more enemies began to focus fire on him.
He heard the order to retreat and get backup.
"With all due respect...I doubt they're going to let me leave now"

And that wasn't the end of his troubles. Cinder wasn't known for being merciful, so it was unlikely that she would not attempt to attack him as payback for trying to attack her first. He had to keep an eye on her cloud form.

If Cinder decided to come at him in cloud form, he needed a way to counter. His eyes darted around, vision obscured by the armour in front of him and sparks from bullets. It also didn't help that the animate armours were thrashing about, trying to get free. Still, he managed to see enough to plan something out.

And the circumstances couldn't have been more perfect. There was now a way for him to counter everything trying to attack him in one action. He may not be able to directly grab Cinder in her cloud form, but she had still in fact made it much more easy for him to deal with her. Becoming a cloud was probably one of the worst decisions she could have made with Ecto as an opponent. What he had in mind would certainly drain him of most of his stamina, so he needed to time this correctly.

And all he needed to wait for was for the cloud to start flying at him in an attempt to attack.

Connor Morton "Booster" - GLASS Warehouse 17

Connor merely watched as the carnage ensued, staying safely outside the building. Between what appeared to be zombies, and the arrival of some of the more high-powered ARK members in the area, he felt that his services were very much not needed today. GLASS didn't seem to stand a chance - it was almost unfair.

He almost jumped out of his skin when Iso came up to him from behind. Thankfully, it was pretty clear that was with ARK, rather than GLASS, based on his appearance. As much as he was enjoying squatting under a window... any chance to show people he could be useful was worth taking.

"Hold on... this might tingle a little."

He grabbed his hand, and his body entered an intangible state, zapping into Iso's body. From this point onwards, both of them would occupy the same physical space... but in return, Iso would receive significant power boost. He hadn't exactly asked for permission, but he suspected he might be grateful once he realized what was going on.

GLASS Agents - GLASS Warehouse 17

"What, can't you see the... Y'know what? Nevermind."

Sammie pushed Elias off of her, and turned around, aiming her rifle at the nearest animated armour. She fired off shots in short bursts, deafening herself while struggling to control the recoil. It didn't seem to be taking them down... but it certainly seemed to be slowing them down. Even though there was nothing she could do about it, she did note that there seemed to be less than before.

Dave continued to physically wrestle the animated armour, even managing to shatter one apart by pounding on it relentlessly. What we wasn't expecting, though, was to be confronted by his former teammates, pointing their weapons at him in an aggressive manner. Thankfully, Sammie managed to dispatch the ones with guns before they could do any real damage to him, a couple of bullets merely grazing his arm.

Nat, having remained invisible for the majority of the fight, snuck up behind Christine. He'd managed to snatch a combat knife from Dave earlier, and he planned to use it. Still keeping himself invisible, he ran and leaped at Christine, going to to ram the knife directly into her back.

They couldn't tell what was going on above them, but they had the common sense to stay put - whatever it was, it couldn't be good for them. Unfortunately, the decision was eventually made for them. In the midst of the fight, the crate that they'd been sheltering under was ripped away, exposing them to the chaos that was currently ensuing. Some of them were immediately crushed by the body of a fallen GLASS agent, and the others simply ran in panic, scattering across the battlefield.

Ella 'Cinder' Ashton

Cinder wasn't stupid. Reckless? Yes. Impulsive? Definitely. Murderous? Oh gosh darn yes. But not stupid. Once she gets into a form dense enough to attack she would also be vulnerable to a counter attack. And with a telekinetic? She'll definitely get one. She just can't charge in guns blazing, unless she wants to be hit back. She can't even shoot te sucker with ash bullets since the telekinetic may take control of them. Nah, she needed to channel her inner Solid Snake and be stealthy.

Cinder exploded in a cloud of ash and smoke that covered the entire warehouse and made it hard to see a few feet in front of you. As if that wasn't enough, the ash and smoke started to swirl into a storm and the ash, dense as pebbles ad dust, stung every vulnerable skin and eyes. Cinder dropped down from where she was and executed a perfect roll to soften the fall. Her gray and black hoodie camouflaging her among the ash and smoke.

It just so happens that Cinder landed rather near Christine and noticed something behind her. The ash and smoke was hitting something behind Christine, yet nothing was visible. Without ant hesitation Cinder vaulted over Christine, using her knee and shoulder as a foothold, and stabbed the invisible thing with the ash blade. "Hehe, someone's getting rusty." She teased Christine as she pulled put the blade which was slick with blood.

Aaand now Ecto could barely see in front of him. Still, not too much of a problem.

"Close enough, I guess"

There was air in constant contact with him, which was obvious. This made it incredibly easy to apply telekinetic force on the molecules. He sent out the biggest telekinetic wave he could muster, sending the air nearest to him towards the holes in the roof. This caused a chain reaction of sorts as those air molecules started to push the other air molecules in the same direction, so essentially a whole lot of air was being blown out the holes in the roof. The telekinetic wave had also pushed over the enemies shooting at him, which then had the armours he was using thrown at them.

Now here's the part where it started getting crazy. Due to the door being the only source of air to come in now, a vacuum effect occurs as air automatically rushes in from outside to fill the empty space of the air being blown out. Ecto had essentially caused air to be rapidly sucked out from the holes in the roof, but nobody inside would suffocate due to the rapid flow of air coming in from the door. This of course caused all of the smoke and ash to fly out the holes in the roof, and the lighter people would probably get knocked over.

Then there was the useful side effect he hadn't really planned. As Hale was generally stormy, water vapor would be pretty abundant in the air. As the air was now constantly being pushed against the roof in order to get to he holes, some of the water vapor started to condense and the general atmosphere in the room got damper.

Now that his vision was clear, Ecto saw that Cinder had taken a solid form again. Perfect. He tried one last time to throw her telekinetically, towards the holes in the roof. This act drained the last of his stamina, so he had to leave now whether it worked or not. Without checking to see if the last attempt to telekinetically throw Cinder had actually worked, he said "Fuck this, Im outta here!"

He quickly left the warehouse and started on his way to GLASS HQ, now obeying Sammie's previous order.

ARK Affiliate "Shade"
Location: GLASS Warehouse

Melded into the shadows of the surrounding environment 'Shade' watches the battle between ARK and GLASS undfold with a calculating gaze. As expected his earlier report had resulted in direct action on behalf of the upper management, the most recent broadcast from 'Telegram' sending in the nearest members of ARK looking to profit from the findings. Or perhaps, for those like Cinder the opportunity to revel in a little choas. A similar desire lurked in within Hadrian, but unfortunately for 'Shade' he was not in a position to indulge the other ego.

As the battle begins to reach it's climax; GLASS sounding a retreat as they are bombarded by combination of super powered individuals, animated armour, and —for lack of a better term—zombies, the living shadow begins to take action. The overall result of the encounter: the causalities and destruction of the warehouse, was as much as to be expected. It's the reckless use of the armoured suite in battle that he can't help but feel disappointed at.
What was the point of securing the cargo if they were only going to let it be destroyed it seconds after?

Nothing goes to waste. At his command some of his gathered extra mass splits into smaller pieces; individual shadow beings that slither across the floor towards the scattered debris. Clawed hands reach out from the floor to wrap around pits of metal and spilled contents from the boxes, dragging the objects through their own shadows to the location their master desires. Later Hadrian Auris will sort through the gathered items and determine what is to be kept and what is to be sent to one of ARK's labs for examination. It would be beneficial towards confrontations with GLASS in the future if they were to understand the nature of their opposition. Similarly this event will be used to improve his database on the superhumans involved from both factions.

Sliding out of his hiding place and quickly darting along the ground, nothing more than a two dimensional patch of darkness 'Shade' collects himself into the smoking shape of a vaguely humanoid figure with glowing orange eyes. With an invible command he gathers the nearest shadows into a portal on the wall that glows with dimensional energy.

"If those members of ARK in possession of the valuables would consider retreating at this opportunity, I offer you safe passage to a secure location."

Current: 3: Biological Ghouls, 1: Animated Armor
Summoning: 16 Hyperwave Illusions, 1 "Shatter Shield" Animated Armor, 4 Constructs made of scraps and guns "Gun Hounds"

Iso breathed in as "Booster" melded with him. He chose a good person to meld. The GLASS operatives put up a fight, but Iso was keen to finish them. His will enhanced by "Booster" threw off all bearings inside the warehouse. He charged forth, dispersing multiple copies of himself approaching from all angles. They fired dummy shots allowing him to reach Sammie and shoot her before she could realize the real one. Iso's hand charged as a neutron star, manifesting fourteen fully functional illusions. He called them Hyperwave illusions, mostly because they interacted with the environment yet they were very hard to damage. Pure kinetic would not fare well. They were affected by kinetic, but it was not advised. They charged around the group of GLASS operatives, two pressed forth for the one who fled. No one will ruin their chance for loot. While the gunned down GLASS ghouls were little of use. The shattered armor was still quite useful. His will reanimated the shattered, turning it into a "Shatter Shield". It regrouped below Dave, letting a punch be surrounded before stabbing Dave everywhere and quickly. It was quite a beauty. A collection of dancing shards with iridescent eyes moving as a hurricane. While Dave was being stabbed to death. Iso gave will to multiple collections of guns and metal scraps. He tasked them to track down any other operatives and neutralize them.

He looked towards the shadow figure. "I won't need one, and if no one is going to bother with the supplies, I'll be taking them back to my friends. I understand Ark's motives for the shipment. However, I know people who can use this stuff beyond Ark's capability. So If you don't mind, once these GLASS's are shattered. I will be taking the stuff." With his words, he gave will to two more Hyperwaves to pack the supplies in the started truck.

Warehouse 17

As Cinder was teasing Christine, she felt a gust of air pulling them up towards the ceiling, sucking out everything from her ash and smoke to even some of the cargo. At the same time, Cinder felt the telekinetic grip try to throw her up once again. Unlike before, she will not be able to turn into a smoke cloud since sh could also be sucked out of thr hole. Instead, her arms and hands were covered in an ash gauntlet, the tips of her fingers being oversized and burning ash.

Cinder plunged on arm on the floor to gain a hold of it and to not get sucked out of the hole in the ceiling. At the same time, Cinder grabbed hold of Christine to help her. Of course she removed the gauntlet to avoid hurting her. Had it been anyone else, Cinder would have just watched them as they get sucked out of the hole, but not Christine. "I got you!" She said with a grin, hoping Christine would praise her for it later.

Once all the chaos was over and GLASS has retreated, Cinder stood up and brushed her jeans clean of dirt. "Nah, wasn't here for the cash anyway." She said when a man offered to create a portal. "Christine here can have my share instead." She said as she beamed at her friend.

Delilah Harolds
She stared at the chess board that sat between her and Issac, an older gentleman, J rank, and her forever Chess Partner. Before either one of them had joined as well, since they served together. Retirement doesn't suit him, so being a desk jockey is the perfect fit. Of course, he'd deny it and say he's better suited for the battle field. It's a lie an he knows it. So Delilah would indulge him with board games from time to time. And as usually, she was the winning side.

Leaning forward a bit, letting her elbow rest on the table, the woman loosely rested her balled hand against her lips, in order to hide the small smirk. Furrowing her brows as if she was deep in thought added to the illusion. "I may have finally beaten you my dear," the man chuckled, moving his bishop, but it left an opening for her queen. "Think again old man," She chuckled, capturing his king. He looked a little shocked, but smiled. "How do you manage to always beat me?" "You're predictable. Now set it up, we're going again. After I get more terrible coffee of course."

The man just waved her off as she stood, concealing a light laugh. Like always, she was mostly out of uniform. Of course, she had her GLASS jacket, though it had been cropped. Still long sleeved though. It and the minimal amount of body armor, which was a rather thin bit anyway, and only on her torso, was paired with a black t-shirt, tight-ish cargo pants, and combat styled boots. She never was one for the official uniform, and after a week or two of trying, her superiors just gave up. In her mind she didn't really need it, since well, she didn't really need it. Plus it was always funny to see how she wasn't that much taller than his desk. But it was a special desk because he was a rather tall man, even now in his later years.

Delilah had to walk past many of the other desk jockeies in order to get more coffee, which was more like water than her favorite sorcue of caffeine. But that's besides the point, She wasn't really like here. She often stayed away from HQ other than when it was absolutely nesecary. Maybe she wasn't liked because she was so intimidating and she scared everyone. Nah, that's a little hard when you're 5'2... She didn't know what it was, She just didn't like it. It was annoying really. She's much rather be in the field anyway, even if the only thing going on today was some warehouse thing. Delilah kinda wanted to go incase anything happened, but Sammie was sent. So they should be fine down there right? She hasn't heard anything recently, and though she wouldn't say it out loud, it was a little worrying.

But nevermind, they're fine. Hopefully. She quickly shook her head, getting those thoughts out of her head, before getting more coffee and returning to Isaac. The board was all set, and it was time for her to win again. ( WhipDing WhipDing )

Lieutenant Manuel Clarke, X-Rank
This was a disaster, top to bottom.

Manuel had been doing what he could to keep up communications with the field team and by what he could hear, it was a complete disaster. People were dying out there, ARK's surprise assault had been responded to in a disastrous manner. Every command he had been giving, every attempt to reign in the situation had only made things worse, and now one of his own had decided to destroy what chance they had of recovering the shipment. As such, it was a livid lieutenant that was making his way towards the recovery zone to greet the surviving soldiers, fists clenched. It had been a slaughter, and he had been stuck in HQ doing nothing.

Passing by Delilah and Isaac on the way, he only gave the two of them a glance before continuing on his way. Unlike certain other members of the faculty, he made sure to wear his full armament and uniform at all times. A closed coat over a bulletproof vest, the former showcasing his position in GLASS as well as sporting the clear "X" markings on the shoulder to signify his rank, along with plain matching pants and steel-tipped boots. He made sure to decorate his coat with the medals he had earned during his military career, if only as another method to show status. Still, Manuel Clarke right now was no dignified lieutenant, but a man worried for his fellow soldiers. That worry and strain was obvious on his face, no matter how much he tried to hide it.

Opting to not share what was troubling him, but rather simply striding onwards, the lieutenant continued towards his destination, leaving the two fellow GLASS agents behind him.

Not at GLASS warehouse 17 exactly, but close enough I guess

Ecto hadn't really gotten far on his way towards the GLASS HQ when he realised that two new adversaries were perusing him. They seemed strangely similar to each other. He had used up most of the stamina needed for high-output telekinesis attacks, so he raised his handguns and started firing at the two while backing behind a nearby random-ass building for cover. He didn't really check what kind of building it was, but he hoped the owners wouldn't mind him using it as a bullet shield.

Once in cover, he took out his phone/communicator/whatever a GLASS operative would use and send a voicemail to glass HQ. This would be better than a call as he doubted he would have time for a conversation.
"Hello, uh...GLASS HQ? This is C-class operative Erin Judai, warehouse 17 has been attacked by ARK and shit's all crazy with animated suits of armour and zombies armed with rifles and that little loli Cinder girl. As you would expect from all that, a whole lot of us are dead. Send help....please..."

He hadn't really done this kind of message before, so he wasn't sure of exactly what to say. At least he got the important details in there. Now he turned his attention back to the two unidentified enemies, getting ready to fire again if necessary.

She was winning. Again. Really, Isaac should try some different strategies. She really didn't have any idea on what she was doing, but she was smart enough to figure out how to beat the old man everytime. Maybe he did this to make her feel good about herself, or maybe he really was bad at the game. Either way, beating him was always fun. But she could almost feel a storm comming. Looking around, She spotted Manuel a few feet away from them, and watched as he passed. He was in full uniform, like always, but he needed it. A super who was still human, that's how she put it. But it was the look on his face that made her get up to join him.

She walked with him for a few feet, before finally asking what she wanted to know. "What's going on?" Delilah had asked this with a rather hushed, and quiet tone, but serious non the less. It was always like that when she talked to people she didn't necessarily trust. Though she paused to rephrase her question, well, ask another one. "Are they okay?" While it didn't seem like Delilah was worried, as she was better at keeping it off her face, it was rather clear in her voice. Deucalion Deucalion

Lieutenant Manuel Clarke, X-Rank

Manuel continued to make his way down the hallways, noting the presence of the other soldier, but not saying anything as they strode on in silence. He had other worries to deal with. Worries that only intensified as noted the emergency signal coming in from Warehouse 17. He immediately brought a hand to his ear, activating the small communications earpiece he had established, as if to compensate for his inability to make contact with telepaths. Shit. As Agent Judai reported on the incident, Manuel could not help but grit his teeth, a shiver running down his spine. Things were far worse then he was expecting them to be. They needed immediate evac, with as much firepower as they could muster. "This is Lieutenant Clarke, X-Ranked Commander speaking." He responded to the emergency message, letting Ecto know who was responding to his message. "We hear you, soldier. Mobilizing a task force to initiate damage control and evac now. Do not engage ARK, I repeat, do not engage. We will arrive with backup as soon as we are able. Concentrate on keeping the remaining operatives alive and safe. Over."

Deactivating the comm link once more, Manuel turned to Delilah to answer her question. "Things look bad out there, ARK launched a full-scale assault on one of our shipments. Powers are out of control, people are dying. You heard me before, we need a task force mobilized right now." Feeling content with this explanation, he activated his earpiece once more, this time to connect himself to the HQ speakers, his voice ringing out across the building. "This is Lieutenant Clarke, X-Rank. Emergency situation involving ARK at Warehouse 17, wounded and dead. Reports indicate a Class-3 Power-Based Disaster. I repeat, wounded and dead at Warehouse 17, reports indicate a Class-3 Power-Based Disaster. We need a force gathered and mobilized for damage control and evacuation immediately. I repeat, we need a task force for damage control and evacuation immediately. We are moving out as soon as able, through Gate B. We are moving out as soon as able, through Gate B."

With his announcement finished, Manuel shut off the earpiece once more. Damn it all... He should be there right now.

GLASS Agents - GLASS Warehouse 17

Nat hadn't been expecting to be detected... and why should he have? He'd never been seen when he hadn't wanted to be in his life. Unfortunately, today was different, and he was rewarded for his inexperience with a blade through the chest. His invisibility field faltered, and he fell to the ground, almost instantly dead.

Dave managed to hold out a little longer, his strength being more than sufficient to prevent himself from being sucked out of the building. Of course, strength wouldn't help him at all for what was to come next. Shards of broken metal came from all directions, piercing his body in multiple places at once. His body armour protected him to an extent... but it wasn't enough. He eventually succumbed to the repeated stab wounds.

Sammie was immediately overwhelmed by the appearance of several more figures, all seeming pretty intent on taking her down. She raised her arms to protect herself, but quickly realised none of the shots were actually hitting her. Before she could work out what was going on, an actual shot hit her straight on in the torso, knocking her the ground, motionless. Her metal skin had actually saved her, a small crater visible smoking from her chest, although she'd likely cracked several ribs. She was smart enough not to move, though - if they thought she was dead, that could only work to her advantage.

Renae Hopson - ARK Hideaway, Location Unknown

Renae smiled as she recieved mental reports of the raid on the GLASS Warehouse. It'd gone much better than she'd expected - zero casualties on their part, and limited resistance. She was mildly concerned about Iso's decision to deliver his cut elsewhere, but it was as expected, and it hardly mattered in the grand scheme of things - even if they weren't directly profiting, empowering their members was always worthwhile.

But for the others, there was always ARK-provided options. She did a quick mental search for the nearest safehouse... ah, good. James was always a reliable option. She sent out the co-ordinates to all ARK members currently at the warehouse, as was standard.

James Breon - ARK Safehouse #???

"James, you've got a shipment incoming. You know what to do."

Of course, he really did know what to do. He'd done this hundreds of times by this point, sometimes twice in the same day. He'd been given a very vague description of what was coming through, but as usual, it was his job to determine how much of it was actually useful, and pay out what he felt was reasonable. Of course, it wasn't uncommon for ARK members to keep a little of the equipment for themselves once they found what it did - as long as he got the majority, he didn't really mind. Lots of business, and all he had to do was pay a sum to the 'Head' of the organisation. What wasn't to like?

He started pushing some trolleys around, preparing for their arrival - apparently there was quite a bit coming through.

Ecto immediately felt relived as he had confirmation that help was on the way. It was when he heard the order to not engage ARK that made him feel uneasy. Everyone back there was probably getting demolished, and here he was pretty safe in comparison. Of course, there were still the two unidentified pursuers on the other side of the building's corner, but it was still far less dangerous than being in the warehouse. He actually felt guilty for not being with his teammates.

He reloaded and prepared to fire again. He hadn't actually checked to see if his bullets were in fact affecting them, but it was all he had right now as his stamina hadn't refilled enough for him to use meaningful telekinetic attacks. He had a backup idea for quickly restoring the stamina, but he didn't want to do it unnecessarily.

When she was left without an answer, rather than storm off to find one herself, she waited. Walking in silence with Manuel, worry becoming more evident on her face as her brows furrowed slightly. It was an odd feeling, being worried about people she didn't really know. But ARK was a threat, maybe that's why. And overhearing Manuel say something about evac wasn't to comforting. She still went without an answer for another few minutes before the much taller man turned and faced her.

All she needed to hear was people dying, and that was it. A stern expression took over her face, only nodding as he spoke. "Yes sir," She answered quietly. "I'm ready to go." Delilah, when it came down to it, took her job very seriously. Especially when lives were in danger, or had already been lost. And while she only had a pistol, it was a powerful one. Not to mention her strength was unmatched, so yeah, she was more than ready. "Those ARK sonsofbitches are gonna pay." Deucalion Deucalion

Alexis Morton "Pura" - GLASS HQ

Alexis leaned back in her chair, putting her feet up on her desk. Today had pretty uneventful, even by her standards - the small pile of work that she'd had this morning had long since been completed, and there really wasn't anything else to do. The J-ranks were pretty efficient at their jobs, not having to have 'flexibility' for field work, so at times like this, V-ranks like her were essentially left 'on call' for unreasonably long periods of time. It wasn't ideal, but nothing ever was in this organisation.

She plucked a finger-full of squits from the plastic pot next to her keyboard, and popped them into her mouth, sucking on them as she thought about how the process could be optimised. Suddenly, an announcement came on over the loudspeaker in the room, talking about an emergency situation. Involving ARK... of course. She swung down her legs, almost kicking the pot off the desk in the process. As bad as it sounded, this was what she needed right now.

Getting to X-rank was pretty difficult. GLASS simply hadn't been around long enough for more than a select few people to be promoted, and so far none of them had ever been moved up to Sub-Commander. Difficult, but not impossible. Right now, she really just needed experience, especially in the field. As such, this might be her time to shine - to show off what she could really do. And y'know, help some people. That was important too.

Hastily strapping on her standard issue equipment, she rushed down to B-Gate to meet what eventually be the rest of the task force.

As Ecto pulled off his fancy trick to clear out the room, they were suddenly subject to a very different problem. Being so light meant they were pulled off the ground and into the air, along with the ash that was being sucked out through the roof. The result was that the remaining couple of hundred were shot out through the holes in the roof, flying high into the sky before starting to fall back down, dispersing across the area. Fortunately, their small size and terminal velocity meant that they all survived the fall, with only a few being killed by hazards like water.

...Aside from one unfortunate squit. Rather than escaping largely unharmed, he instead collided with the face of one of the ARK members assaulting the warehouse, flying straight up their nostril. He squirmed around, getting even more stuck, starting to suffocate in the phlegm-y hell it found itself in.

A quick, proper response. Excellent, just as he preferred it. "Good." He replied, giving Delilah an appreciative nod. "Just remember, our goal is not to fight ARK right now, our intent is to rescue the soldiers stuck in that situation. Priority one is your fellow GLASS agents." His eyes narrowed for a moment, his tone hard and steely. He had nothing against Agent Harolds, but she could be impulsive. "Engage ARK only if necessary." As he spoke, the lieutenant removes his medal-clad coat, leaving it on a coathanger on the way out, leaving him in his protective gear, a form-fitting black T-Shirt under a protective bulletproof vest, showcasing well-developed, scarred arms. Here we go. Time to move.

Soon enough, he found himself at Gate B, seeing the multitude of agents gathering up and preparing to act. A proper strike force, as opposed to the delivery suppliers that had been stuck in the warehouse. Something far more likely to deal with ARK. For a quick check, he once again brought his hand to his earpiece, opening a comm link with the rest of the strike team. "Lieutenant Clarke, testing our comm link connection for field use. Can everyone hear me?" The chorus of "Yes sir!"s and other affirmatives coursing in from the GLASS operatives around him made Manuel nod. Very well. Just another minute or two, to ensure that everyone was here and ready for deployment, then they were going to move. No time to waste.

GLASS HQ - GATE B
Delilah Harolds
She looked him in the eye as he spike, telling her that ARK was a secondary priority. While she wanted to knock some heads, Delilah nodded. "Yes sir, understood." She knew better, but the deserved it. Though her gazed dropped as he took off his jacket. Hey, though while she wouldn't admit it outloud, she did think Manuel was rather attractive. Though anyone with eyes could see that.

Delilah was ready to go, and so she followed the commander down to Gate B. She was also getting her ear peace ready, and joined the crowd of other GLASS agents ready to go save their own. Deucalion Deucalion WhipDing WhipDing

Alexis Morton "Pura" - GLASS HQ, Gate B

Alexis stood with the rest of the GLASS agents that'd congregated in area, listening intently to Lieutenant Clarke's orders. Not engaging ARK was something she was perfectly happy with - she was much better at defending people than fighting them. If she could, avoiding conflict entirely would be ideal.

She glanced around at the others around her. Most were C-ranks - most people in GLASS were, after all - by there was quite a high percentage of V-ranks too. Clarke was the only X-rank of course, though. There were far too few of those to go around to use more than one on a single mission.

She adjusted her body armour, making sure it was tight enough to be actually useful. She'd been on few enough of these missions that her heart was already trying to pound its way out of her chest. She was as ready as she would ever be.

GLASS HQ: Gate B
Lieutenant Manuel Clarke, X-Rank

It did not take long before a commendable task force had gathered around their commander, leaving Manuel satisfied. They could probably gather more men if given more time, but what they had right now should be more than enough. It only took the lieutenant a few more minutes from that point to properly organize everyone, getting the numerous C-Rank soldiers to their vehicles and arranging a military convoy. Still, once that they did indeed leave, it felt good. They had manpower and resources enough, this should work out, he hoped... It was a nervous Lieutenant Manuel Clarke that sat down in one of the GLASS vans as they began their drive towards the warehouses, his eyes fixed squarely on the road ahead.

The Road to GLASS Warehouse 17
Lieutenant Manuel Clarke, X-Rank

As such, it was with tense, steely determination that he activated his earpiece once approaching the warehouse in question. This time, he reestablished the same connection as he had when he recieved the emergency signal, doing all he could to tune in to the frequency of Agent Judai. As much as the thought made his stomach churn, Judai was the only one that he had any idea if they were alive or not, making them the one proper contact he had. "Agent Judai. Agent Judai, come in. This is Lieutenant Clarke speaking, we are approaching the disaster zone. What is the current situation? Give us your location. Over."

Now, all he could do was wait for a response. With a sigh, the general ended the comm link, gazing out towards Warehouse 17. Dear lord, he could see the smoke rising from here... Savages. Savages fighting for no cause other than their right to harm whoever they pleased, that was all that ARK was. He was going to put an end to it, he swore that. But for now, he had soldiers to care for.

GLASS Convoy
Delilah Harolds
Delilah sat in on of the trucks carrying C rank, and maybe a desk jockey, she didn't pay attention. The C ranks looked eager, ready for whatever they would see. She almost felt bad for the. The ones in this truck were fairly new, they were either pretty young, or had that look about them. But whatever the case, that didn't matter, they had to be prepared. Some of their body armor was twisted slightly the wrong way, boots weren't tied, she even saw a couple guns with the safety off. Which is fine, but not when they were all...grabby. The C ranks couldn't stop fidgeting, checking their guns, etc. She couldn't really say much though, she was doing the same thing.

With a small sigh, She turned back to face the front, looking out the window. "Shit..." A breathy whisper passed her lips as she saw the smoke rising from the warehouses general location. She hoped Cinder wasn't involved, because of she was...the others chance of survival just dropped significantly. That crazy bitch wasn't known for being merciful. "Commander," she said, using her comm to get Manuals attention, since he was in the van. "We may need to take extra steps to make sure everyone gets home safe. It's possible Cinder was there. I mean, that's a lot of smoke." Deucalion Deucalion WhipDing WhipDing
