Fantasy Shadowside: The war of light and dark

"Alright, then a coffee please!" Answered Wei while smiling at the waitress.

she heads behind the counter and soon comes back with a mug of black coffee "anything else sir?" she asks ready to take another order.

As Rakh walked, she sensed a shiver down her spine. Looking to the source, she saw a very radiant man gathering herbs. She felt like retching. "Ugh, gross." She muttered to herself, taking shelter in the shadow of a tree and watching him.

"Thanks" he said. "Well I would really like to ask you a couple of more questions, in case you don't mind..." And then he quickly added with a great smile: "But I don't want to distract you in your job, so if that would be possible for you, please come back when you will have a little free time"

Fane had the oddest feeling he was being watched. He continued to gather herbs, but ever once in a while he just pretended and cautiously scanned the area. He didn't see anyone and picked the last herb he needed. Glad I had most of the needed herbs. Guess it's time to go back, I'll just mix them at their house. He set off back to town wondering what he would do after. He was not worried about being watched whatsoever.

Watching the man walk away, Rakh sighed to herself. "Maybe I should have gone around the plains... I don't want to run into any more things like that." She thought back to his blue eyes and shuddered before looking around more.

After a while, too long in Ariel's mind, she was relieved of her patrolling duty. But instead of heading back to the city, she went to go check on the other patrols. Mostly just hopping she would run into some kind of action, or at least something interesting to do.

No longer being able to see Helltis, she grunted as she realized she was lost. "Curse my lack of foresight..." After a moment of thought, she decided that the radiant man had probably headed to a town so going that way was probably a bad idea. She looked to the mountains and decided that that also wasn't ideal and headed in the opposite direction.
She tried to stick to the more vegetated parts as she made her way, picking up pace during the more exposed areas.

"alright. probably best when the bar closes for the night. hopefully i won't be too tired." she smiles and continues serving her customers.

((OOC: you guys comfortable enough to go on to the plot getting rolling?))

Fane made it to town and stopped to buy a few fruits and vegetables. There were quite a few stands to choose from, but only one he ever went to. The woman smiled, greeted him and he did the same. Fane got quite a variety and was happy with what he got. He thanked her and paid what he owed. He was going to eat some now and share some with the boy and aunt. I'm sure they will like that. He stood a little ways away and started eating an apple.

Now and again, Rakh would feel a light being- Ugh, must be Empire patrols... She thought to herself as she hid from the third one. I just feel like punching them.

John looked into the sky, 'There are Angels near by, guess that means my friend won't be joining me' He thought. John got up from the ground and sheathed his blade, he began making his way back to the Inn for another pint, he opened the door and walked up to the counter, he could smell a slight stench of Light nearby.

The day passed on to night. and it was a pretty peaceful one. almost too peaceful. as if on cue raids started being set off along the border unleashing hell on villages on both sides. soon confused mobs also swarm raiding more in anger than the mysterious ones at first with the organized ones no where to be found. villages in total flame lit up the night in their rash red and orange glow. many lives were lost and soon the leaders became furious. but they didn't want war. not yet. so a grand council was to be called. both The Shadowside Alliance and Grand Light Empire were to be there with allied Dragons and The Half-Bloods doing their gods given duty to mediate both sides. Hopefully Cooler heads would prevail and peace would be kept.

Fane finished his apple and went on to the house. He mixed the herbs and helped give them to the aunt. He left a bag of the fruits and vegetables and left. The boy had been ecstatic the whole time and was waving goodbye until he couldn't see Fane.

Fane went back to his house to make some dinner as it was getting late. He was only halfway done when he heard a messenger yelling throughout the town. "RAIDS ALONG THE BORDERS! STAY INSIDE!" The young man kept repeating and getting farther away.

Fane was confused as to what he meant. The border of light and dark lands? The border of the country? He ate what he could and put everything else away, then he set off. Whatever was going on he would find out and hopefully help.

John could spend all day and night in the Inn trying to find the scum that reeks of Light but he decided to leave, he walked out and spread his wings, he flew into the sky, he flew to where he though was the safest place for a Vampire during this time, right on the edge of the border

Rakh had camped out for the night. As it turned out, she had been near a village. When she saw the flames, she frowned. "Well, I didn't do it." She said to no one in particular before looking around and locating a tree. "I'm too tired for this." She stated as she climbed it and fell asleep in there.

Wei waited patiently, as he was drinking his coffee. He noticed a strange looking person, but he was not in the mood to react anything, so he just watched him, until he left. After he was done with his coffee, he closed his eyes, crossed his arms with the spear in his left, and rested.

Ariel had been with some of the other angels when she heard of the raids along the boarders. She and her fellow soldiers did what they could to end the raids, put out the fires, but despite their efforts, many people were still killed. Ariel was informed that there would be a meeting between the sides in an attempt to keep peace, but Ariel could care less about keeping the peace, the shadowside needed to be eliminated in her mind.

As John and Fane both headed to the border it was quiet. the damage from the raids done and bodies all around of villager, guards and civilians piled all around the area. now the survivors were either bracing for an attack that may come again, healing the wounded, putting out fires and rescueing people from collapsed buildings or mourning the dead or for some may as well be dead in their eyes. One was Luna who while trying to protect her family and buy them time she was attacked and bitten in her side. most of the villagers managed to evacuate but she was on the floor of the now ruined inn losing blood and feeling the werewolf venom flowing in her veins. soon she was collected by a nearby tribe rescuing turned survivors before the residents came back.

Fane looked in horror at the damage done by the raiders. He quickly searched for survivors and cast Relief on any that he could save.

He sat down to take a rest and wondered who could have done this. Most people's first guess would be the Shadowside Alliance, but there was sure to be damage over there as well. Fane looked around again and hoped he would be able to find answers soon.

Rakh faded in and out of sleep as she heard commotions and people passing near. "Ugh, how am I supposed to sleep like this?" She slid out of the tree. "I guess if I help, it'll be over faster..." She ratioalized as she headed over. Once she arrived, she looked at all of the fire, the Empire members, the villagers, and sighed. "Why am I doing this again?" She frowned before going to a villager and asking how she could help.

Ariel took to the skies, seeing is there were any villages that needed extra help, or any of the shadowside alliance that were around. The damage looked bad on the ground, but it looked worse from the air. Though as composed as ever on the outside, Ariel was seething on the inside.

The people weren't exactly welcoming of Rakh after the raids that just occurred. most jeered about it actually. meanwhile they welcomed Fane's aid infact dragging him all over the place on the villages he visited trying to get someone to help them recover and meanwhile bad mouthing the Alliance and the stunt they seemed responsible for.

When John arrived at the village there were no survivors, he looked around and found none alive, a Raider noticed him and charged after him, John turned and put all his energy into one swing, the swing sent a massive beam of light energy at the raider burning him to death however the beam was also reflected off of his belt and shot into the sky, clearing the clouds around the area.

Ariel saw a flash of light come from a village in the distance. When she flew over to it and landed, she saw a man dead and on fire on the ground and another standing with a sword. The one with the sword was shadowside, so it was easy to guess what happened. "I'm going to have to ask you to come with me." She said flatly, she wanted to kill him, but he might have information. So she would bring him to the council and let them deal with him.
