Fantasy Shadowside: The war of light and dark

black ace 3

Leap Year, Baby!
In Twilighterra a peace between the two powers of The Shadowside Alliance and the The Grand Light Empire. The peace has however been turned into a cold war on pretty thin ice. if war was to break out once more it would be as bloody and generations long as the last. The Half-Bloods created and placed on this world by the gods but that peace is fraying. The two are at each others throats ready for another war which is seemingly inevitable it is only a question of how long and why it shall begin.

Shadowside: We are the outcasts. When the Empire formed and casted our races out to the edge of the world to die we banded together to survive and made it our home. abit wild but we had a life here. until the Empire launched a crusade against us we fought back. We held our own till The gods brought peace back and we welcomed them. however should The "Grand" Light Empire strike at us again we will fight back. Our members are The noble Tribal yet abit Feral werewolves, The warm hearted if cold masked and manipulative Vampires, The undead who cling to their slipping Heart, the Phantoms and finally the chaotic yet honor bound Demons.

Glorious Light Empire: Behold The Glorious Light Empire! we who were created by a kingdom in alliance with the Angels brought order to the lands and drove the monsters out. we established order that was desperately needed. but not total thanks to the scum's sp called "Alliance". we attempted a final push but their resistance was greater than before. We fought valiantly until the gods sought fit to bless us with Peace by the Half-Blood hands which we welcomed cordially. But if those Mongrels of Shadow try anything we will finish what we started. Our races are the Noble Humans which flaws vary though most say arrogance, The elves who are so intune to nature that cities can make them physically ill, The industrious though a bit gold loving Dwarves and finally the Angels who are the ultimate agents of order and some heretics would claim to the point of severe fault.

Dragons: We are independant of the two factions for the most part though some of us have seen fit too join in the fray on either side. most of us don't care as long as our territories are undisturbed we don't care. disturb them and we will act. and you won't like it when the third eldest races comes down on you. we can shift our shape and breathe the elements both granting us great power.

Darkwood: woods that receive little light and whose plants are twisted and wild as its creatures which despite recent elf and human settlement makes the werewolves feel right at home.

Gensi Plains: dotted with forests but mostly plains this is were the empire began it's rise. obviously dominated by humans though a heavy angelic presence aswell.

Varsi Providence: A place full of ruins from small lesser kingdoms that constantly warred with eachother. That is before the Empire consumed them but the Vampires rose and took it over.

Wildrin Forest: unlike Darkwood this place recieves plenty of light and is rather peaceful which mkes the elves feel right at home.they have small sparse villages around in it as to not disrupt nature.

Gravrid: A land only recently being retaken by the living. a plague had once swept through and was so bad not even the Empire dare lay claim to it but the outkirts very recently. it also serves as the birthplace and home of the Phantoms.

Braxti Mountains: Rich in precious metals below and harsh winters above. home of the dwarves they dig ever deeper in their mines with old ones converted into underground cities.

Helltis: A pit in this world that is the direct point of the gates of the demon realm itself. The place serves as home base for the demons and a veritable Mecca for Demon worshipers.

Paridisa: a floating island with the gates to the heavens. the angels use it as their base and keep it very nice looking.

Ragmaw Mountains: Home of most of the Dragons. The place is volcanic and often stormy but has pretty big caverns and livable valleys were villagers can be servants, provide tribute or just raze and eat. Depends on where it falls in who's territory.

Normal RPN rules.

romance is allowed.

traitors are allowed but be prepared for your original faction to hunt you down.

if your going to have a turned char (i think you can tell which species allow this) please do it in RP but that's more my prefernce i won't enforce it.

will need an equal number of characters on both sides to kick the plot off.

Be active and post in OOC when your going to be gone for a long time.

I can change these whenever i wish.

Most important- have Fun.

We are all set.

We can now begin the RP. still accepting those who want to sign up. also let's not all start in the same area. that way my plans can be executed to heat the plot up.
Read the rest of this update entry...
Luna wakes up and gets ready for another day as a waitress at the inn. she gets on the headband and then headed down and began serving the customers, most nursing hang-overs.

On patrol duty, again, Ariel walked along the border of the Gensi Plains that was assigned to her. There wasn't very much fighting going on at the moment, so instead of going out and fighting the Shadowside, she had to do less exciting things like patrolling. Of course she knew that it was important, and she would never think of defying orders, but it didn't make it any less boring.

John wandered into an Inn, he walked in and ordered a Ale even though it was morning, he kept his wings tucked into his back and his blade was sheathed. "One Ale Please" he asked the waitress

Malik crouched on one knee in between tall grass masking his presence from his pray, a beauty of a buck drinking from a small stream. This matter was routine, something a self respecting ranger like himself should be a walk in the park. Tracking is simple, deer seldom leave a specific territory in the forest. A trail of footprints and leavings mark the rest of the way. Approach: silence is not necessary but any noise must be deliberately and natural ambiance of the area. Hiding places...well, not hard for a person of his size. Finally the kill, clean as it is a living creature its end should be painless.

So simple. He raised his crossbow slowly among the tall grass aiming it at the buck neck. He fired. Too simple. The buck fell and Malik walked to his kill. No challenge, no satisfaction. No point. Not like hunting demons back at the war, outsmarting an intelligent creature and doing the world a favor in the process. He took out a small dagger and began skinning the deer. He missed the good old days.

Continues serving the customers as the day goes on with more and more patrons recovering from hangovers and starting to get drunk and wild. though the big burly guy of an innkeeper kept things from getting out of hand.

John sat at the corner table nursing his Ale while he sat there and tried to remember his past, before the turn

Ariel looked at the sky judged that it would be a while until her patrol duty was up. She stretched her wings out and then folded them against her back again. Just do your job, she thought, finish the patrol, maybe you'll even get to fight someone. It could be worse, you could be doing nothing. But despite the internal pep talk, Ariel was just as bored as before. Reaching the end of her assigned area, she turned back around and patrolled in the other direction.

Fane woke up at dawn and had been going through the jobs he had found. Kill a giant because they don't want it around. No. Fight off a swarm of killer bees to settle a dispu- nope. Second to last....ah here we go. Gathering herbs for a sickly aunt. He finally got up and dressed for the day. He went outside and headed towards the house of the sick aunt.

John finished his Ale, he got up and walked over to the waitress, his wings still hidden, his long pale hair standing out from his black armor. "You wouldn't happen to sell....... Blood here would you?"

"just recently started to. well it's not exactly blood from living beings but a potion close enough that most of our vampiric clientele can consume it without issue." Luna says smiling "you wish for a mug or neck-like container?" she asks ready to serve it up.

"coming right up." she says heading back behind the bar and comes out witha mug and accepts the payment as she hands it over. "here you go."

John takes the mug and returns to his corner table
John slowly drank the blood, when he finished he got up and walked out leaving the mug on the counter "Thanks" he said as he left

Fane finally arrived at the house and knocked on the door. A small wait and a small boy opened the door. Fane smiled and showed the boy the paper with the request. He smiled back and ran in to grab the list of herbs needed. "Can you also mix the herbs? I dont know how...."

Fane laughed, "Of course. I'll be back as soon as I can." He tuned and went towards the outside of town.

Rakh awoke with the sun beating directly down on her. A late start to be sure. She sat up, muttering a curse to herself for not waking sooner. She was only a day or so out of Helltis and if she just kept sleeping, she surely wouldn't get much farther. "Guess I'll go find something to eat..." She said to herself as she stood up.

Wei entered te inn. He went to the waitress, and asked her with an embarassed smile on his face: "Excuse me! I am new to these lands, and i was wondering how the ordering goes here. Could you enlight me please?" Saying this wei put his right hand benhid his head. He always feels bad in the first few days after getting to a new land.

John sat outside the Inn, he was supposed to meet someone there, the Vampire that turned him, all he wanted to know was more of his past. He drew his sword and slammed it in the ground a little further away, it's light energy starting to burn away at his bare skin "S***" he said to himself, he left the sword in front of him, not touching it or affecting it in anyway.

"well we're still in the Empire so just like the other lands, you just order and pay when you get your drink or food" Luna said kindly and in a helpful manner.

"I see... Well thanks for helping me out" said Wei with a nice smile on his face. "I wonder if you have teas to serve too?" He asked while looking around, and inspecting what other people ordered.

Once outside the town, Fane headed for the thicker vegetation and forest areas to find the various herbs needed. He wasn't sure if anything would interfere with his work, but he would be prepared either way.

Mostly it was Ale and such as Luna gave an apologetic look "sorry the closest we have is coffee around here." she said.
